Online headline/story: "Astronomers say universe expanding faster than predicted * The universe is expanding faster than previously believed, a surprising discovery that could test part of Albert Einstein's theory of relativity, a pillar of cosmology that has withstood challenges for a century. * The discovery that the universe is expanding 5 percent to 9 percent faster than predicted, announced in joint news releases by NASA and the European Space Agency, " -- Hmmm... wonder where Algore is? Could this be the cause of Algore's claims of "global warming/climate change" that he says man is responsible for? Hey, Algore.. maybe you should have a talk with God.... or at least study up on Einstein's "Theory of Relativity".

WTVM9 news headline/story: "Protesters punch, throw eggs at Trump supporters in San Jose * SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - Donald Trump supporters leaving the presidential candidate's rally in San Jose were pounced by protesters, some of whom threw punches and eggs. * A dozen or more people were hit and car windows were broken. Trump hats grabbed from supporters were set on fire on the ground. One least one woman was pelted with an egg." -- You know.. is this acceptable to Hillary.. well, the Democratic Party, for that matter? Is this the kind of leadership Democrats believe is good for America's future? Vote TRUMP!

If your only option is commercial, why fly if you are only going 400-450 miles or less. Our 4-year-old granddaughter Sophia went to Disney World yesterday with her mom and one of her aunts. We took Sophia and her mom to the Atlanta airport. We left Columbus at 1:30, and dropped them off at 3:15. Their flight left at 5:55, but were told to be at the airport 3 hours early for TSA screening. They got to Orlando about 8:20 due to about 50 minutes of circling due to weather. The venture took 6 hours and 50 minutes from the time they got into a car and debarked. Add another hour and 15 minutes for the bus to their Disney hotel, and the trip took them over 8 hours. A trip by car to Disney takes about 7 hours from Columbus. Why fly?

Ideated from a suggestion of a fellow BCer - I guess the hidden value of the killing of the gorilla at the Cincinnati Zoo has proven scientist, evolutionists, and liberals completely wrong.. man did not evolve from apes... how can I make this assertion, you ask,, well, after the unarmed gorilla was shot, did people riot. loot, or burn things in other cities?

I wish the GOP/RNC would stop comparing a vote for Hillary as "4 More Years of Obama". WE;re talking 8 years of Hillary, here, and who know how long before we will ever get a chance to vote for a business oriented Republican candidate in the future.. I mean, after what the GOP has tried to derail Trump, what other good business oriented candidates are likely to step forward and offer themselves to this crap?

LIV's L-E "soundoff": "   Donald Trump seems to be bringing out the worst
in us, and unless we read, and think for ourselves, we seem to be buying into
what he says. America can do better than this!" -- "America can do better than
this"?  Surely this LIV's not talking about Hillary.. any Democrat for that
matter.. Does this LIV feel that the anti-Trump protesters are role models for
America ..or the LIV's children/grandchildren?...  These are protesters who are
not factually knowledgeable so they can not express themselves civilly. Instead,
they throw punches, rocks, bottles at Police officers and other civil
Americans..  Certainly America can do better than anyone that would support the
Demov=cratic Party.

LIV's L-E "soundoff": "   Elected representatives like Myers and Thomas are
either power hungry or truly believe they're looking after the taxpayer. Either
way, it boils down to micromanagement, which is bad." -- "micromanagement"? Good
grief.. since when is the only option to keep tabs on how taxpayers funds are
spent is to rubber stamp the Superintendent's desires.. Ask any successful
private of public company about keeping financial date out of the hands of the
board of directors is good for stakeholders? In fact, ask the former board
members of St Francis Hospital. Columbus is fortunate that Frank Myers and John
Thomas (and Mark Cantrell on occasion)  stepped up to the plate and displaced
people more concerned about being re-elected than whether the students were
getting the kind of education that can put an end to perpetual poverty.
---
LIV's L-E "soundoff": "   President Obama's trip to Hiroshima was an
important gesture promoting peace in a nuclear era." -- gesture"? I'm pretty
sure the only gesture that happened was the middle finger one ZERO-bama got from
the rest of the world as he boarded Air Force 1 to depart.

L-E headline: "Prince died from accidental overdose of opioid painkiller"
-- "acidental"? Good grief.. there is no "accidental" when one voluntarily puts
unneeded opioids into one's mouth and swallows.
---
The L-E has published the 2015 "Climate Star" ratings for our schools..
There are many ways to tear into this, but the most obvious one is how 17
schools with a lower rating than Columbus High can get 4 of 5 Stars while
Columbus High got but 3 of 5 Stars. Common CRAP Math?
---
L-E headline: "Columbus is a city of disputed distinctions * From Coca-Cola
to the Civil War Historians disagree over several local distinctions" -- Hmmm..
while several subjects were discussed concerning various historical markers, two
markers were distinctly omitted from the column.. One subject discussed was
Memorial Day's origin.. seems rather obtuse that the historic marker on the
northwest right-of-way on the corner of 2nd Ave and 11th Street brings attention
to the Columbus claim, but the one most obviously omitted is a marker on the
western side of 1st Avenue between 12th and 13th Streets,, It identifies the
location of the first school for black children. Of course, this fact interferes
with the agenda of those involved in rehabbing the Claflin School
location.

  L-E headline/story: " Wal-Mart tests drones to manage inventory *
Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is testing drones that it says will help it manage its
warehouse inventory more efficiently, and which it said Thursday could be rolled
out in the next six to nine months across its distribution centers. *  The move
is another sign of how the nation’s largest retailer is seeking to compete
against online leader Amazon.com  , which is testing drones to deliver packages.
* During a media tour Thursday at a distribution center, Wal-Mart offered a peek
at a drone that flies around the massive center, captures images in real time
and flags the misplaced items. * Wal-Mart says using the drones enables it to
check inventory in about a day or less, instead of a month that it takes
manually." -- Hmmm.. bet those drones won't make $15.00 per hour or call in
sick...
