Online headline/story: "Trump hit with first big blow amid judge controversy * The presumptive GOP nominee's remarks about a federal judge's 'Mexican heritage' have sparked anger, leading a key Senator to announce a big decision Tuesday. * Donald Trump's attacks on a federal judge for his "Mexican heritage" are beginning to have concrete consequences, with Sen. Mark Kirk of Illinois becoming the first GOP lawmaker to rescind his support for the presumptive Republican nominee." -- "Sen. Mark Kirk...GOP lawmaker"?  Good grief.. there are no Conservative lawmakers in Illinois,,,If there is a danger in the GOP losing this seat, it happened because the GOP hasn't been diligent in vetting their own.

Online story: "Ralph Lauren shares fell 9% in premarket trading on Tuesday after the company announced job cuts, store closings, and a forecast for lower revenues. * In a statement, the luxury-fashion retailer said it expected a low-double-digit decline in fiscal-2017 net revenues because of the closings, which come as fewer people shop at many traditional brick-and-mortar retailers." -- "because....fewer people shop at many traditional brick-and-mortar retailers"?  Hmmm... or could it be "lack of value"! My children gave me a beautiful Ralph Lauren shirt for my b'day.. $125.00 worth of "beautiful".. it had a nice silky touch.. hand.. looked at the label.. all synthetic fibers.. no made overseas, synthetic fiber shirt is worth $125.00... especially when a company has built its appeal based on natural fibers.

From the " “All Democrats are equal, but some Democrats are more equal than others." department - Online headline: "Hillary Clinton criticized for wearing $12,495 Armani jacket during a speech about inequality" -- Good grief.. who knew Armani made clothing that Hillary... could .. wear...

---
Good grief...if a judge is a member of an ethnic activist group, does it matter whether he's a member of La Raza Lawyers or the KKK? Any such membership should be reason enough to expect a judge to recuse himself from cases that ethnicity is in any way an issue.

From the "now it makes sense" department - Online story: " the police did not seem to help the victims of the Trump Rally San Jose riots as much as they could have. Now it’s become clear they were given the orders to STAND DOWN. And why? Well the Police Chief turns out to be part of radical leftist group “La Raza.” -- Good grief.. the same applies to the Chief of Police as with  U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel in the above item.

You know, liberals have "out thought" themselves on dumbing down education even more by not teaching cursive writing anymore.. how are their voter base going to be able to sign a voter registration or ballot application?

L-E story: " Tomlinson said underfunding the aquatic center will likely prevent it from being all it can be. Fewer hours means less programming, which means less revenue generated, she said." -- Good grief.. Mayor TomLYINGson has it Bassackward.. .as usual. The problem is that due diligence was not done BEFORE building the Aquatic Center! Public desire use of the facility should be the determinng factor and if only a small number do want to use it, then eithey they have to pay higher fees or build their schedules around what works to make the facility an asset rather than an albatross on the rest of the citizens of Columbus.

LIV's L-E "soundoff": " If Trump is concerned about a “Mexican” judge, should Jews be concerned about Christian judges? Christians about Jewish judges? Protestants about Catholic judges? Muslims about “American” judges? Is Trumpism interjecting hate into our legal system?" -- Hmmm.. not quir=te the complete picture.. The federal judge is a member of an Latino ethnic activist organization .. In fact the same one that the San Jose Chief-of-Police belongs.  That's right, the same Chief-of-Police working for the Mayor that defends not using the police officers to immediately protect Trump rally participants.

L-E story: " Five local schools are among the 8 percent of public schools in Georgia to be honored this year by the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement for excellence in academic performance or improvement, based on results from the previous three years of standardized tests.
The honored local schools and the reasons for their awards are:
A In Muscogee County, Britt David Magnet Academy for performance and improvement, Columbus High School for performance and Northside High School for improvement.
A In Harris County, Mulberry Creek Elementary School for improvement.
A The Chattahoochee County Education Center, which is ChattCo’s elementary school, for improvement." -- Wait a minute... only 3 of theses schools are "local".. two are in OTHER county school systems.. and when you parse "the 3 schools in Muscogee County", there is nothing new to add to hat we already know..in addition, none of those are in District 1.. or District 7, for that matter.. Vore for JoAnn Thomas Brown in 1 and Shelia Williams in 7.

L-E story: "    Phenix City continued its efforts to build the Chattahoochee River whitewater business on the Alabama side Tuesday by approving a $40,0000 marketing effort that will be funded by a mix of public and private funds. * The city council voted to enter into a contract with Columbus-based Media Marketing ... and More! to promote “Whitewater Alabama, Phenix City.” Whitewater Express, the outfitter than operates stores on both sides of the river, will pay $25,000 of the $40,000 contract and the city will pick up the balance, said city Finance Director Steve Smith. *  Last year, 26 percent of the more than 37,000 rafters began their excursion at the Phenix City store. Early in this season, there have been about 3,000 rafters and about 24 percent have chosen the Phenix City store." -- Wait a minute.. How can Council ALLOW Whitewater Express to do this? Council spent many millions.. of our tax dollars while Phenix City put in (I believe) less than $1 million, and 26% of the originations for the rafting are being paid in Phenix City so Columbus gets zilch fees. How about our Council asking the Phenix City Council to "pony up" its share!
