From the lying, pompous, (_*_) Commander-in-Chief" department Online headline/story: "Congress demands info about reenlistment bonus scandal * White House spokesman Josh Earnest said it was about time Congress acted. * In 2010, federal investigators discovered that thousands of bonuses and student loan payments were improperly approved for California Guard soldiers.* "First of all, this is something members of Congress (were) confronted with two years ago, and as with so many other things, failed to engage in a kind of constructive effort that could make things better for the country," Earnest told reporters on Tuesday. "We're not going to hold service members responsible, unfairly, for unethical conduct or fraud perpetuated by someone else." -- "about time Congress acted"? Good grief..this is something Obama could have taken care of with the stroke of his Executive Order pen!

Online story: "Retiring on your own terms is becoming a luxury these days. Factors such as inadequate savings, stagnant wages, and rising living expenses are leaving millions of Americans woefully unprepared for their so-called golden years. Making matters worse, some cities erode your retirement experience faster than others. * The importance of location is not restricted to home purchases. A recent study by WalletHub analyzes America’s 150 largest cities to identify the best and worst locations for retirees. * The highest ranking cities are mostly found in the South." --  Well, Columbus has made another list under the "leadership" of Mayor TomLYINGson.. Number 12 in a list of the "Worst 15 of the 150 Largest Cities to Retire In". And if this isn't bad enough, Mayor TomLYINGson must feel Columbus can attain the title of "absolute worst" as she attacks seniors in their homes by trying to take away their property tax freezes

If you haven't voted yet, and are still considering Hellary, you are condemning the future of America you will pass on to your children/grandchildren. One way you can look at it is that Trump will not serve a second term if he doesn't produce, but if you elect Hellary, it's not only 8 years of misery, it'll be a lifetime of remembering you had a chance to get rid of both Clintons.  Basically, this is the only way you can look at it.

---
Hellary feels every job should be part of a profit sharing plan. Hmmm..let's start with her Secretary of State's missing $6 Billion .. let's take her share out of her foundation's foreign donations

---
The funny thing about Hellary's "plan" to put everyone on every companies' profit sharing plan is that companies HAVE TO MAKE A PROFIT under all the regulations/tax plans she wants to put on them.. That, friends and neighbors. is why companies are moving to other countries.

---
You know, for a woman who can't recall anything about her own life, Hellary seems to be able remember everything about Trump.

---
Hellary was having a rally in Coconut Creek, FL yesterday, and told the folks she has tried to run a campaign on issues while Trump has run one based on insults. Then she ranted insult after insult for the rest of her speech, and no one knows what her issues are.

---
Are we going to have to relive the impeachment process of Bill Clinton? What is that makes Democrats  instinctively LIE? Obama swore he learned about Hellary's personal server at the same time the public found out, yet new WikiLeaks e-mail from Cheryl Miller leave no doubt that Obama knew about it because there is a trail of e-mails between Obama and Hellary.

---
You know, just looking at the responses to rallies, my guess is that early voting will lean to Trump..if Hellary had cemented her base, she wouldn't be struggling in the 40% range of polls.

---
Let's face it...is there anyone who honestly thought a year ago that Hellary would not already be crowned, and Trump would be chugging along as the Republican champion?

---
I tell you what...if I hadn't made up mind to vote for Helllary by now, then there's very little chance I'm going to vote for her in the next 2 weeks.

---
WikiLeaks... what else are we going to learn that basically we've been suspicious of all along? Are surprised that Obama knew all along about Hellary's private server .. not me..but it is more depressing to learn how Obama and his aides tried to suppress it after it came out. Who would want a continuation of such deceit from someone saying she wants to to be Obama's 3rd term?

---
Good grief... an uber-liberal spinmeister was on Fox saying they believe Hellary is going to be treated like she's a Republican, and grab hold and pull tight on her reins to the left....huh? Any more left and Hellary will be residing in Cuba.

---
You know, while I don't like it, I'm "OK" with the Democratic Party trying to repress the Republican vote...it's part of the political process..but I do object to mainscream media playing such an integral part for them.

---
Good grief..John Bolton said the FBI "dropped" the ball in Hellary's investigation.."dropped"? Hell..what they did was spike the ball just before getting to "the Red Zone" and gave the ball back to her.

---
Wednesday evening is a planned political event to get Women Voters. It's planned at 3111 Citizens Way. Excuse me..but that's the City's Citizens Service Building..it's also where "early voting" is happening..this looks like some illegal gathering too close to a polling place.

---
From the "there is nothing else I can say" department - Online headline: "4-year-old girl killed minutes after new dog arrives *The McNeal family's dog had died from cancer and to help fill the void they got a new one, but 45 minutes after getting the Doberman, things took a tragic turn."

---
Online headline: "Former secretary of state Powell says who he'll vote for * The former member of the George W. Bush administration made the surprising announcement at a Tuesday event in Long Island, New York." -- "surprising announcement"? "surprising to whom"?

---
Online headline: "Think China's pollution is bad? Try California * Air pollution is 'a public health crisis' in California according to experts, with an estimated 7,000 early deaths per year related to dirty air in the state." -- Good grief. California is the home of Feinstein, Boxer, Pelosi, Moonbeam Brown, Algore, sanctuary cities, and 20% of the Electoral College vote to elect our president. Governor Brown... hurry up and build that wall... between California and America!

---
L-E headline/story: "Council votes to halt people from addressing tax freeze referendum * Columbus Council voted 6-2 to suspend the Public Agenda portion of their meeting Tuesday night after one councilor objected to hearing political campaigning in a building that is being used as a polling place." -- Hmmm guess Council must lock the doors of 3111 Citizens Way tonight at 6:00 because a Women's Voters Group is scheduled to meet then.

---
You know.. with a such vital interest matter to so many people at stake, Council should be ashamed.. It also underlines the necessity for our local elections of Mayor, Council, and School Board be moved back to the November General Election dates.

---
L-E's "Thought for Today: “Facts are many, but the truth is one.” — Sir Rabindranath Tagore, Indian Nobel Prize-winning poet (1861-1941)." -- Good grief! Tagore never would have said this if he'd known about the 21st Century Democrats and mainscream media!

---
You know, when you look at the size of the rally crowds Trump draws versus Hellary, why does mainscream media feel the early voters are supporting Hellary? Remember 1948.. oh.. of course you don't.. but the Chicago Trib was so sure of itself that it hit the streets with ""Dewey Defeats Truman". Of course.. even Illinois went for Truman under the Trib's nose.. guess even the Trib underestimated how many voters the Chicago Dems could "dig up".

---
L-e headline/story: " RED RIBBON WEEK: ONE MAN’S STORY * ‘That’s what kept me alive: wanting to be free’ * BY ALVA JAMES-JOHNSON " -- While the first two in this series showed promise of enlightenment, this one just went to victimizing Thomas..  too bad.. I can imagine the balance of the series will make him look like a misunderstood choirboy and society is at fault.. Too bad.. good could have come out of this.. now it's just another waste of trees.

---
L-E headline: "Is Claflin project losing public support?" -- Hmmm.. the real question is does Claflin really deserve any public support.... as pointed out previously, the old Claflin was not the first black school in Columbus.. that spot is designated by a historical marker on 1st Ave between 12th and 13th Streets.

---
L-E headline: "Sparring over soda tax, cities set referendums * Four cities will let voters decide if a special tax should be levied on sugary drinks like soda and sports thirst-quenchers." -- Well.. what did you expect after marijuana became "taxable".. government is going after the "munchies".. can chips and Twinkies be far behind?

---
L-E editorial content: "For the umpteenth time, there’s an effective way to stop this. For the umpteenth time, don’t hold your breath." -- (Hey, Dusty, I do agree with you... when you are right.).  The Tennessee-based parent company of skilled-nursing and assisted-living facilities with four sites in Georgia has agreed to a $145 million settlement with the Department of Justice for allegedly defrauding U.S. taxpayers (that’s us) out of millions in government reimbursements. --  If the company agreed to the $145,000,000.00 fine/settlement, you can bet the actual losses of the taxpayers were much higher. No such settlement should be offered without the executives getting suitable jail time.. between ill-gotten gains and insurance protection, fines and settlements without principles serving jail time will not clean up the process.

---

L-E headline: "Three best bets for a meat-and-three lunch * Step back in time at Evelyn’s Café, a classic meat and three joint in the Rose Hill area of Columbus. Other solid stand-bys include the Royal Café and Minnie’s Uptown Restaurant." -- Leave it to Greenman to slight "Ed's" .. Of course I have a story of how Greenman leaves too much on the table when he walks away..Of course, I cannot disagree with his other 3 picks.
