The Chicago Public Schools have adopted a new policy that prohibits ICE/Immigration officers from going on school campuses unless ..unless they have a search warrant in hand! Poetic justice would be for a principal to be under assault by a student , and ICE agents simply waving at him to come over and sign a search warrant.

Good grief...Earlier this month, I thought I was finally through with WOW cable..I went in, turned in all the cable boxes (including the shipping boxes), stood at the register while my final bill was calculated, then wrote tem a check. Today, I learned that I'm not through yet...A new bill came in, and WOW owes ME $20.56. Now I'm beginning to understand why WOW's service sucked. Now, why didn't WOW just send me a check and be done with it? Will let you know when this happens..

From the"unfortunately, we Know what they are smoking" department.- Denver police arrested an illegal Mexican alien for car theft, and when they booked him, ICE contacted the DPD and asked for a "hold", but the DPD said "no", and released him.on bail..an illegal alien was allowed bail on a felony charge.... Now, a couple of weeks later, that illegal alien now has a murder charge against him..If I was a member of the victim's family, I'd start suing every public official involved in setting up Denver's "sanctuary" status.

Yesterday marked 1 month since the GA DOT did it's first work on the River Road/Bradley Park Drive "Roundabout".. of course the GA DOT removed all their equipment a few days later. Since then, the GA DOT has announced that it will be completed within 18 months.. Wanna bet the job want be finished by the time Tom-LYING-son leaves office?

"This is US" has taken over as the top TV show.. displacing "The Big Bang THeory"... guess American TV viewers have gotten smarter since Trump won!  BTW, if you haven't watched it, you can get the whole series on HULU and catch up.. watch them all.. especially this weeks episode.. They even provided a model ordinance used by other municipalities. *  “Our primary mission is to work with our community as we move toward a smoke-free environment — particularly at work sites and public places,” said Perry Alexander, co-chair of the organization." --  Bet this group was also.. and still is.. in favor of OObamaCRAP ( and marijuana use).. and attempts to use "feel good" laws to strip everyday citizens for having a "voice in their choice" over use of a legal product. Mandatory abstention by such  as fines or penalty taxes is fascism!  The reality is that businesses that already have "smoke free" environments can advertise such as a reason for people to dine with them. Wonder if Dr Bob Wright has looked at having a "smoke free" casino?

 

FTR. I quit smoking cigarettes in 1991 and cigars in 2002. I did so voluntarily to support my brides decision to quit cigarette smoking. I will not go back, but I do not chastise others for doing so. My only objection to smokers is the ones that smoke OUTSIDE or in their cars, and flip their butts onto the ground.. I would suggest that our police officers enforce the anti-littering lasw on the books, but judges and juries seem to poo-poo law enforcement attempts.
