Online headline/story: "Poll: Travel ban is one of Trump's most popular executive orders * The order has a 55% approval rating (with 35% saying they "strongly approve") with only 38% of voters polled saying they disapprove of it. * Opinions about the ban fall along partisan lines — 82% of Republicans support the ban, while 65% of Democrats oppose it." -- Hmm... looks like that in spite of liberals attempt to label it a "travel ban", voters are smarter since Trump knows how to get his message out to neutralize mainscream media distortions of the truth, and recognize that it is a "temporary ENTRY ban" for people from countries that have no stable or dependable governments.

From the "head buried in the sand" department - Online story: "Afghanistan, Feb 8 (Reuters) - The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) suspended operations in Afghanistan on Wednesday after gunmen killed six employees helping deliver emergency relief to a remote northern region hit by heavy snow storms. * The governor of Jowzjan province said the aid convoy was attacked by suspected Islamic State gunmen. The head of the ICRC called the incident the "worst attack against us" in 20 years, but the charity said it did not know who was responsible." -- "charity said it did not know who was responsible"? Good grief.. what is the only faction that would kill Red Cross aid people.. who considers all Americans "infidels" in spite of their mission?

From the "Make America Great.. and Safe Again... or, in other words, "Make Thugs Accountable Again"" department - Online story: "A grand jury has indicted more than 100 Inauguration Day protesters on rioting charges in Washington, D.C. In total, 209 people have now been indicted. * The indictment, handed up D.C. Superior Court on Wednesday, charged 146 additional protesters with felony rioting — meaning they face a fine of up to $25,000 and a maximum of 10 years in prison." -- I just hope the (_*_) that spit on a local Columbus, GA 11 year old girl who attended the inauguration was in this group of indictees.

Online headline: "Robert F. Kennedy's son announces run for Illinois governor" -- Good grief..talk about coattailing, what kind of leader makes an announcement that the headline uses his father's name rather than his own?

---
Online headline: "NBA's biggest stars have harsh words for Donald Trump" -- Hmmm looks like the NBA has its own "KaeperPRICK" problem brewing.. and we saw how the nation turned its back on the NFL regular season.

---
Online story: " U.S. President Donald Trump's administration is considering a proposal that could lead to potentially designating Iran's powerful Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization, * The IRGC is by far Iran's most powerful security entity, which also has control over large stakes in Iran's economy and huge influence in its political system." -- Good grief.. the only question that needs to be asked/answered is "Why didn't Obama do this while in office?

---
Online story: "Republicans in the House of Representatives have introduced bills to abolish the  Department of Education. * Rep. Tom Massie of Kentucky sponsored the bill to end the Education Department. In a statement he wrote, "States and local communities are best positioned to shape curricula that meet the needs of their students." -- Hmmm.. will have to think about this on a local basis.. obviously, Washington has not been keeping up with the Muscogee County School District or Board.. Now, if the state of Georgia would rescind its law about local school boards having to be elected, then I see a better fuure for our students and our community.

I just heard a lawyer defending a man for a scam involving failure to deliver 600 Youth Football Uniforms after he was paid $30,000.00. My skin crawled as the lawyer said, "May client is innocent........... until proven guilty."

Online story: "The Department of Defense says it needs a space inside Trump Tower for daily tasks — only it looks like it will have to pay rent. * Military staff — separate from the Secret Service — are always near the president. For instance, those handling the so-called "nuclear football" containing the president's launch codes must travel everywhere with him. *  According to CNN, renting a floor in the tower costs about $1.5 million a year. The Secret Service already has a space in the tower near the first lady and her son. It's unclear exactly how much space the service rented or how much it pays for rent." --  Hmm.. mainscream media has a short memory.. in a July, 2009 article by NBCChicago,, this is reported: "The Chicago Police Department has spent at least $2.2 million to protect and safeguard President Obama's home since his November election, according to documents released by the city. * However, the federal government will only reimburse approximately $1.5 million to the CPD."  Guess it doesn't matter how much the taxpayers had to pay to secure Obama's Chicago house.. which, I believe, was less than a dozen times in 8 years.. Oh.. by the way.. Zillow now estimates that Obama's $1.6 Million dollar home will sell for over $3 Million.. looks like the Obama's get a boon, while we y-taxpayers lose all the money we paid for securing it.

From the "Democrats must have found a new source of Kool Aid" department -- Online headline: "Al Franken 2020? Media pundits think the Minnesota senator is the Democrat to take on Trump" -- Good grief.. perhaps the Democrats are feeling that the next presidential election will be a Saturdat Night Live "skit" featuring Alex Baldwin vs Franken?

---
Online headline: "Intel Announces $7 Billion Investment in AZ Factory, Creating Thousands of Jobs" -- Hmmm...  whatta difference having a president with leadership skills makes...

---
You know, Our 1st Amendment.. the one that grants "freedom of speech".. It does have implied limits.. one specifically being that "the truth" is what is fully supported.. mainscream media should adhere to this standard.

The Ayatollah of Iran says "Trump is a newcomer". -- Ah! Yes..and the world will have to get use to it!

---
You know, the delay of the ruling by the 3 judge panel is the result of the two liberal judges trying to figure out how to keep mainscream media at bay while making a correct ruling on the constitutionality of a legal order, or how to keep history from excoriating them if they decide to rule by agenda vs law.

Congress is backing up Trump's claim that Washington is indeed the swamp that needs draining.. and, it's not just the Democrats, either..

This is from the Athens Banner-Herald: Headline/story: "State ‘school climate’ ratings a disservice, says Clarke data analyst *  The state’s school climate rating system “does a real disservice to people who try to analyze the data,” the Clarke County School District’s chief data administrator told Clarke County Board of Education members last week. * That and a similarly simple “financial efficiency” rating devised by the Governor’s Office of School Accountability are attempts to distill a number of different kinds of data into one small number, said Tim Jarboe, director of assessment and accountability for the school district. * But it doesn’t really work, Jarboe explained to board members." -- To be honest, I couldn't tell for sure whether this was an attack on the State system or in defense of the local system, but it does show a need for clarity and uniformity

L-E headline: "Columbus-area homeless count shows improvement" -- Good grief.. a randon "count" is never going to be "correct".. but I'd like to know is how many tax/United Way donation dollars are spent on "Home for Good"... especially salaries...

L-E headline/story: "Delays in migrant’s case draw judge’s ire * Nigel Harrison, who lawfully entered the country in 2006. Harrison, a commercial truck driver in the Atlanta area, was convicted of theft by taking in DeKalb County Superior Court in September 2013 and sentenced to two years probation and no jail time. *  On Nov. 18, 2013, Harrison was taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents while performing court-ordered community service in downtown Decatur, Ga. * He has been in federal custody since that time." -- Hmmm... it seems Obama and Attorney General Lynch had their own "travel ban" on a Jamaican...

From the "say what" department -- L-E story: "MCSD’s $20 million school nutrition program is federally funded, separate from the school district’s budget, and “cannot operate in the red,” she said. * When students in the lunch line reach the cashier and are told they don’t have enough money to pay for their hot meal, they are given an alternative lunch, which consists of a sandwich (a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or a cheese sandwich), a fruit and milk, Fuller said. * “The school nutrition program cannot assume a debt,” she said. “The meals must be reimbursed.” *  The total debt in MCSD’s School Nutrition Program, as of Monday morning, was $3,519.10, comprising 986 students with unpaid meal charges, program director Susan Schlader told the LedgerEnquirer in an email Wednesday afternoon  * Thirty-eight of MCSD’s 53 schools qualify for schoolwide free lunch, meaning every student at that school may receive a free meal regardless of their family’s income." -- Wait a minute.. how can a federal program that "cannot assume debt" have a debt of over $3,500.00 ? And if 38 of the 53 schools in the MCSD have "free meals" for every student regardless of family income, isn't it a civil rights violation to deny any kid in any school a "free meal".. let's face ,, families that are paying for their own children's meals are also paying taxes to pay for other children's meals.

L-E headline: "SELF-DEFENSE * What justifies killing someone in Georgia?" -- Hmm.. I guess in the real world, it's what a jury decides, but in the world of media, killing journalists of liberal media sources is always justified..

L-E headline/story: "City Chicks plans workshop on raising chickens in urban settings * The workshop comes as Price and other backyard chicken owners are pushing for an amendment to a city ordinance that currently restricts chickens to two acres or more within city limits. A representative from another Facebook group, called Valley Homesteaders, recently appeared before Columbus Council requesting that the ordinance be amended to permit chickens on lots of one-quarter acre or more." -- I tell you what.. if I owned a quarter-acre lot and my neighbors  raised chicken on the quarter-acre lot next to mine, I'd get a kennel license and keep enough outside cats on premise and when they looked hungry, I'd  tell them that their meal was next door.... first there, first served.
