Just two short years ago, then Secretary of State Hillary referred to Assad as a " reformer". What difference did it make who answered that 3:00 AM phone call from Benghazi?

---

Online "headlie": "Hillary Clinton Gets Honest About Her Past" -- I wouldn't hold my breath based on this, but I wouldn't put it past her to throw a few tidbits out to divert the media further away from Benghazi. Nevertheless, anything that brings attention, not just to her past antics, but to her constant past of controversies is good.

---

Online story: "As Democrats wait to see whether and how House Republicans will target the president's health care law during ongoing budget negotiations, a fissure has developed within their own ranks over how hard to push back. * At issue is the level of spending that would be unacceptable for a resolution to keep the government funded into the next fiscal year. Progressives are eager to draw firm lines in the sand in favor of higher caps." -- " Progressives are eager to draw firm lines in the sand"? Is that an oxymoron of "DOH!" or what! Seeing Judas 00-bama let the political winds cover his 'line in sand' has rambled through the rest of the Obamarats...

---

Online headline: "Poll: 44 Percent Of Americans Oppose Raising Debt Ceiling" -- It's worse than we though for sure... Romney miscalculated how many people are actually working for non-government paychecks.

---

Online story: "Kanye West has been charged with criminal battery and attempted grand theft for attacking a member of the papparazi, TMZ reported on Friday. * According to Daniel Ramos, the photographer, West punched him and wrestled him to the ground to try and grab his camera. Ramos sustained hip injuries and was sent to the hospital. * if convicted, the controversial rapper could face up to a year in jail. " -- Hmmm wouldn't this be a good TV trial with Taylor Swift being the 'guest judge'...

---

HuffPost story: "A new study of gun violence published by the American Journal of Public Health found that states with greater levels of gun ownership tend to have higher rates of gun-related murder. * The study, conducted by Boston University professor Michael Siegel and coauthors Craig S. Ross and Charles King III, examines this relationship in all 50 states from 1981 to 2010. The researchers found that "for each percentage point increase in gun ownership, the firearm homicide rate increased by 0.9 percent." * The authors note that, though they can't prove a causal relationship between higher levels of gun ownership and homicide, "states with higher rates of gun ownership had disproportionately large numbers of deaths from firearm-related homicides." -- "The authors note that, though they can't prove a causal relationship between higher levels of gun ownership and homicide"? Typical of Boston area libs... if you can't prove something, surmising it based on figures you 'cherry-pick' count to other liberals.

When in campaign mode, Judas 00-bama says he wants to grow the middle class. Well, guess the middle class didn't know that it needed food stamps, because that's the only class group that's growing.

---

Online headline: "Bloomberg Says He Won’t Endorse in New York Mayoral Race" -- Regardless of what he 'feels', soon-to-be-ex-Mayor Bloom-ing-idiot-berg IS making an endorsement. Snubbing the Republican candidate endorses the only man that's further left than he is.

---

Online headline/story: "Study proposes tolling interstate system to pay for reconstruction * Under federal law, new interstates can be tolled, but existing ones can’t, and Congress would have to change it. But it could be a tough sell to a public long accustomed to freeways. * Now, the oldest parts of the system are reaching the end of their design life, and the tank is almost empty. Congress hasn’t raised the federal gasoline tax of 18.4 cents a gallon in 20 years, and the tax has lost a third of its value to inflation. People are driving less and cars get better mileage, further reducing the revenue collected at the gas pump" -- The government already profits more per gallon than "big oil" AND the individual service stations COMBINED, but Congress outwitted itself by making outrageous demands on make manufactures to sacrifice passenger comforts by making cars smaller to reach the higher MPG goals set by Congress. As a result, people use less gallons of gasoline.

---

The Congressional "snafu" above is similar to the cigarette tax issue. Congress rasied taxes and directed that revenue to healthcare programs, but campaigned for more people to quit smoking. People did.. because they couldn't afford the new higher taxes, so cigarette tax revenues for those programs are declining.

---

Online headline: "Federal Government Pulls Aid to Food Pantry Because of Jesus" -- Let me get this straight... the government wants us to be a more caring people, more Christ-like, but we're not suppose to bring Jesus into the mix. Hmmmm, guess what the government wants is for atheists to run programs Christ-like programs. Go figure.

---

Online headline/story: "NC Police Claim Christian Carrying Cross Violates “Dangerous Weapons” Law" * A Christian evangelist witnessing at a public festival in North Carolina this past weekend was forced to put away a wooden cross that he was holding as police asserted that it could be considered a “dangerous weapon.” -- In a way, one could think of a wooden cross as a weapon... say a werewolf, or Satan, but... the police in Morgantown, NC ought to go "on strike" until their Council allows them to pray when they are involved in a street gun fight.

---

Online story: "Christian attorney Mat Staver says a teacher in Tennessee violated a student’s constitutional rights earlier this week when she told the student she couldn’t use God as the subject of a class assignment. The assignment was to write about someone she idolized – but 10-year-old Erin Shead says her teacher at Lucy Elementary School in Millington told her she couldn't write about God because it would be promoting religion. However, she said it was okay for Erin to write about her second choice: Michael Jackson. -- Hmmm, it's 'OK' to idolize a dead drug riddled, pedophile but not God..... I hope the girl and her parents get a whole lot of support in documenting the evils of Michael Jackson's life so the girls can read it to her classmates.

Wouldn't you know it...newly revealed Lois Turner, IRS 5ther, e-mail reveals she lied under oath when she said she was innocent.

---

How can our military experts on TV be so stupid? I heard one saying "we" have to be focused and careful to only arm 'moderate rebels' in Syria.. Huh? Even if you could pinpoint those, the radical rebels would eventually turn on the moderates and take their weapons away.

---

Seaside Park, NJ - you would think that when the Boardwalk stores/businesses were devastated by Hurricane Sandy, that when they were rebuilt, plans would include more safeguards to prevent future fire and hurricane damages.... you would "think"...

---

Online story: "In the waning hours of the 2013 legislative session, the Assembly on Thursday sent Gov. Jerry Brown a bill allowing undocumented immigrants to receive driver’s licenses. * By extending licenses to undocumented immigrants, Assemblyman Luis Alejo, D-Watsonville, said, California would open a legal umbrella for everyone on the road to prevent situations in which immigrants face arrest, heavy fines and car impoundment when they are pulled over." -- Yeah, that's why illegal aliens want driver's licenses... Justice would be for illegal aliens with driver's licenses to start discount taxi rides in Los Angeles. The unions will squeal!

---

The teen (_*_) that shot a baby in the face just got his sentence. We have a bad law on the books.. one that excludes people under 18 being sentenced to death. There needs to be a law excluding minors that intentionally wield a gun while committing another crime. Either that or declassify teens like the one that shot the baby in the face as "people".
---
If you set a limit on what's a non-punishable amount of marijuana/cocaine you can have, street suppliers will just carry that much then resupply as they go. This also means there would be more street suppliers working smaller 'territories'. Look at Mexico.
---
The White House says Russia has loss credibility. Who's our Secretary of State, Pee Wee "I know you are, but what am i?" Herman?
---
You know, I'm beginning to agree with ASSwad. Judas 00-bama does need to stop threatening to bomb Syria.
---
L-E headline: "DARR D GENDER DISCRIMINATION LAWSUIT * JURY GETS CASE, RECONVENES MONDAY * Attorneys for women and sheriff make passionate closing arguments" -- "passionate closing arguments"? Guess that means the lawyers were begging so they might get something out of nothing. Hope the jury awards Darr and Columbus it's legal costs to be paid by the filing lawyers.
---
From above story: "(Attorney Edw(_*_)rd) Buckley hammered Darr on what the attorney called a Freudian slip, when Darr used the word “he” twice while answering questions about the vacant captain’s slot and discussing who would fill it." -- "freudian slip"? Proper English grammar has always called for using the male gender in citing an unknown gender situation. "Political Correctness" has warped this to where people wrongly insert "he/she" rather than be a subject to a "gotcha" situatioon like this "he/she/it" for an attorney.
---
Low-info voter's L-E "soundoff": "Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t like Bush either, but you really think things are better with Obama in command? The facts show otherwise. " -- Well, at least some libs are opening their eyes, but don't get ypur hopes up.. he would still vote for Judas 00-bama ... again... and maybe 2 or 3 times.
---
Another low-info voter's L-E "soundoff": "After eight years of Obama, Hillary does not look that bad. Do any of you sane citizens expect the GOP or jackasses to field a decent presidential candidate?" -- "AFTER eight years of Obama"? Can't figure out whether the writer was a math casualty of public educationm, or just in a hurry to see Judas 00-bama leave.
---
L-E story: "Animal Ark Rescue (“the Ark”) will hold a Grand Opening/Tailgate Party 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today at its facility at 7133 Sacerdote Lane." -- Hmmm, wouldn't it be more "humane" if dog lovers felt this compassionate, this enthusiastic, about helping homeless people?
---
L-E story: "Congressional investigators say Social Security has made more than $1 billion in improper disability payments to people who had jobs when they were supposed to be unable to work. * In a report issued Friday, the Government Accountability Office estimated that 36,000 workers got improper payments from December 2010 to January 2013." -- Hmmm, justice would be for the government to fire the staff members who approved them for SS Disability, and give bonuses to those who discovered the fraud.
---
Scam alert... Don't buy into the "Lazy-Boy" 10 year fabric warranty. You get charged $69 +/- dollars for a partial can of Zepel spray which cost about $7.00, but chances are if there is a fabric problem in those 10 years, that fabric will have been discontinued and you have no real recourse. Yes, personal experience.
---
According to a L-E story, in rule 16 of the MCSD manual for behavior, it states that students cannot "Possess, pose for, and/or transmit pornographic materials (magazines, pictures, images within cellular phone, web sites, etc.)." -- There is, no matter how minute it is, some reasoning behind providing ObamaPhones to adult recipients of government largess, but I can find 'zero' reasoning that suggests it's 'OK' to put ObamaPhones in the hands of school children. Don't even try to validate this.. it's wrong.
---
Miss Georgia won the preliminary swimsuit competition at the Miss America pageant. She won a $1,000.00 scholarship. Hmmm, at one time, $1,000.00 would have put a nice dent in your college expenses. Today, $1,000.00 will not even cover the semester "fees" charged each student for "extras" provided outside the classrooms.
---
Looks like there's a trend of hiring older workers versus teens. Guess employers want people who want a job enough to show up regularly and on time. It will gravitate to older workers even more if the minimum wage is raised.
