Of course polls will show disdain for a government shutdown. If you poll dependent voters, they are going to be upset at the conservative members in Congress. We already know there are 50,000,000 that don't want to lose their source of income. Maybe pollsters should be banned from polling ObamaPhone users about how they feel about sequester & government shutdowns.

You know, if Judas 00-bama actually supported his statements to the UN , I could have voted for him, but, alas, the truth is not within him.

---

Maybe I should have waited before my last item. Judas 00-bama says we don' t pick sides... deciding to ship arms & supplies to one over the other IS picking sides (no matter how you define "is").

Online story: "President Barack Obama praised Lebanon on Tuesday for its generosity in welcoming refugees fleeing the crisis in neighboring Syria and pledged tens of millions of dollars in aid to help offset the costs of the crisis. * Suleiman said Lebanon, with a population of about 4.5 million, has had a difficult time dealing with the influx of refugees. * He estimated that at least 1 million Syrian refugees are in Lebanon, with thousands more crossing over each week. * Lebanon faces billions of dollars in lost economic activity, and the massive influx of refugees is overwhelming public services and risks driving up unemployment and poverty rates, according to the assessment." -- You know, if it weren't for the fact Judas 00-bama not only welcomes, but encourages illegal aliens to cross our border, I could be lead to "think' this was a humanitarian act. Knowing 00-bama as the 'organizer' he is, he's creating job opportunities for ACORN to take over Lebanon in the next election. Besides, when has he ever 'praised' American tax PAYERS?

---

From same story: "World Bank President Jim Yong Kim met Suleiman on Tuesday to begin work on a plan for coping with the Syrian spillover. He thanked Lebanon for its generosity and discussed how the World Bank and the international community can do their part so that Lebanon does not shoulder the costs alone, according to a World Bank statement." -- The World Bank "thanked Lebanon for its generosity"? The World Bank thinks "Lebanon does not shoulder the costs alone"? When has the World Bank ever "thanked" the US citizens, government for that matter, for what the US does? When has the World Bank ever 'thanked' the US citizen for its dominant participation in funding the "World Bank"? The World Bank is basically the UN's ATM.

I just saw on the TV news that Mark LaJoye is a member of the Alabama National Guard. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't one have to live in the state of Alabama to join the Alabama National Guard? Now, how come he was allowed to run for the Sheriff of Columbus, GA last election?

California... again... Online story: "California teens get an online "eraser button" under a law signed by Gov. Jerry Brown on Monday. * The law makes California the first state to require websites to allow people younger than 18 to remove their own postings on that website, and to clearly inform minors how to do so. * "Kids and teens frequently self-reveal before they self-reflect," Jim Steyer, CEO of Common Sense Media, told The Huffington Post. "In today's digital age, mistakes can stay with and haunt kids for their entire life. * This bill is a big step forward for privacy rights, especially since California has more tech companies than any other state." * The law is meant to help protect teens from bullying, embarrassment and harm to job and college applications from online posts they later regret." -- How stupid can politicians get? This goes a long way to exploring that aspect. We all realize "teens" do regrettable things, but this new law will encourage 'teens' to do even more stupid and vicious bullying of others, then 'erase' it before anyone in law enforcement can verify what was done/said, and how long will it be before terrorist cells learn they can post things for communications, and 'erase' them moments after the recipients have read them and before NSA can read them?

Charlie Rangel...again... Rangel said on a liberal's talk show (editors note - more people are going to read this here than heard it on "The Ed Show") “Anyone who is familiar with the Bible or anything like that should know that Jesus said ‘you’re going straight to Hell‘ if you don’t treat the lesser of his brothers and sisters with compassion. He said he was hungry, you didn’t give him food stamps … He was thirsty, you didn’t purify the water … He said he was naked, you didn’t give him Social Security.” -- Charlie Rangel has never read the Bible, much less applied it to himself. Jesus didn't preach to the governments, Jesus spoke and taught people as individuals, and developed individual relationships. We, not the government, are accountable, and no government figure will get the blessing of Jesus for being generous with other people's money.

Online story: "A suspended seventh-grade student in Virginia Beach, Va., could be expelled for the rest of the school year for shooting an airsoft gun with a friend in his yard as they waited for the bus to come. * Khalid Caraballo, 12, and his friend, Aidan, were suspended for “possession, handling and use of a firearm” because they “shot two other friends who were with them while playing” with the airsoft guns" -- Hey, if he acquired the toy legally, he can do with or carryt it wherever he pleases. This is America, not AmeriKa... yet. Now, if someone, gang thug or police, mistakes it for a real one and shoots him.. so be it. Anyone know if Judas 00-bama will claim him as his son?

---

Online headline: "Chris Matthews Loses It Over Ted Cruz’s Anti-Obamacare Senate Speech: ‘He Is a Problem For Our Republic’' -- Talk about irrelevance condemning anything/anyone else... Judas 00-bama may have caused that 'tingle down his leg, but Matthews has crapped in his own pants this time. Ah! Now we know what the "MS" in MSNBC really stands for... "Matthews' S**T"

---

Online headline: "MacArthur Genius Grants Awarded" -- For certain, Chris Matthews didn't get one.

---

From the above story... 24 people were selected to receive the $625,000.00 awards for "genius-ness". Not one of them has made it on their own in the private sector. Artists, philosophers, researchers..the only thing "genius" about them is they get other people to fund them.

Online story: "Without provocation, “five or six black males in a group” savagely attacked a 70-year-old man on Saturday morning outside of a (Syracuse, NY) 7-Eleven * James Gifford had just exited the store at around 6 a.m. when the group assaulted the man for no apparent reason, police said. The suspects reportedly used their hands and feet to beat the elderly man. They continued beating him after he fell to the ground * Gifford was being treated at Upstate University Hospital for “very serious” injuries" -- "used their hands and feet to beat the elderly man"? Is that political correctness for "punched and kicked"?There's no mention of the 70 year old's race, but by its omission, we know. Because the thugs were black, no "hate crime" charges will happen. Oh, which of the thugs could have been Judas 00-bama's son(s)?

Online story: "More than two dozen employees at retirement-plan provider Fidelity Investments have joined a proposed class-action lawsuit filed earlier this year against their employer over its own 401(k) plan, arguing that it doesn't meet the company's fiduciary duty to give employees the best options available. * The lawsuit strikes at the heart of what employers have to provide in their 401(k) plans. At first glance, Fidelity's 401(k) plan seems to be relatively generous, with a dollar-for-dollar match of up to 7 percent of employees' salaries. Moreover, the plan includes more than 150 different fund options covering just about every type of investment available to investors generally. * But the employees in the lawsuit argue that every single one of those 150 funds is managed by Fidelity, and many of them carry higher fees than comparable funds from outside providers." -- Talk about being foisted by one's own petard... was this designed by Bernie Madoff?

---

Online story: "On Saturday, Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn (D) told reporters he was “willing and able to sit down” with Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel to talk about sending the Illinois State Police to be reinforcements in troubled areas. Chicago Alderman Willie Cochran, who represents part of the South Side, welcomed the offer through a statement released Monday, saying it had “merit.” -- Why stop there.. send in Homeland Security.. it has bought up most of the bullet inventory, and owns armored assault vehicles for some previously inexplicable reason.

---

L-E story: "The Consolidated Government is set to hire a forensic auditor, a position some city leaders say should pay for itself through discovering fraud and inefficiencies." -- Is this an admission that there's already more fraud going on than anyone admits publicly so that spending $100-150K is a bargain? Heads should already be rolling.

---

Online story: " The United States Postal Service on Monday held special unveilings of its new forever stamp in Atlanta and Los Angeles." -- Hmmm, bet the cost is in braille so most us won't know what it is.

---

Online story: "Guards shuttling inmates wearing street clothes inexplicably left eight of them alone in their transport van — with the keys — frustrating a local police chief called out to round up the prisoners after the vehicle vanished." -- You know, those guards had better be thankful they weren't transporting dogs... they could be charged for leaving them unattended in their vehicle.

---

Online story: "President Obama turned to health care on Tuesday evening, sharing center stage with the Clinton family at an event to highlight the rollout of the Affordable Care Act." -- Hmmm, bet it will be referred to as "HillaryCare 2" by next election time.

---

We know 'the Fed' is printing $85,000,000,000 (85 BILLION) each month to prop up Treasury Bonds, but do we know how much money had been printed to prop up Judas 00-bama's agenda? Any of you financial whizzes got an answer as to how much 'new' money 00-bama has ordered?

---

L-E story: "(Major General H.R) McMaster described how in 1964 Johnson as president was not focused on winning a war, but rather his domestic issues. And how McNamara, the secretary of defense, and his principal advisers viewed the war as “business management problem.” -- Where was a General McMaster in 1960? Wish he'd comment on whether our current 'commander-in-chief' is any better than LBJ?

---

L-E headline: "Council OKs zoning change for St. Francis parking lot * 380-space lot will be behind hospital campus" -- Has anyone asked whether such distance is 'handicapped parking" compliant?... especially for a hospital!

---

Very low info voter's L-E "soundoff": "Republicans will give guns to criminals and cigarettes to children if it will put money in their campaign chest. " -- I guess the Obamarats want to keep waterboarding to themselves as a voter indoctrination process. If libs would support the prosecution/execution of gun-using criminals, the problem would dissipate quickly, and as for handling "children" issues, it's not Republicans who offer babies lollipops.. then snatch'em away as not being on Michelle's plate..

---

L-E's "Quotable": “Our opinions become fixed at the point where we stop thinking.” -Ernest Renan French philosopher (1823-1892)" -- Hmm, obviously he had 'thought' everything through. If he had anticpated the emergence of the Democratic Party, he'd probably worded this a little differently, " Liberal opinions become fixed at the point where they START thinking.”

---

L-E editorial: "Secretary of Education Arne Duncan might have been preaching to the choir — on one subject, anyway — in a Monday address to some Atlanta business leaders. At least the “Amens,” metaphorically speaking, seem sincere. * Duncan alluded to studies showing that every dollar spent on early childhood learning results in a $7 return — in money not spent on the abovementioned social woes, and in money actually poured into the economy through the contributions of productive tax-paying citizens." -- As Reagan would say, "well, there you go again". Duncan is a typical liberal throwing out facts and figures he doesn't and can't justify with fact. This is akin to pulling a number out of a hat but getting the hat size tag. No examination of what is spent on welfare today compared to any other time will support Duncan's claims.

While the Chamber loses a great contributor, the Springer is gaining a great one. BC accolades to one of our own.

---

It seems strange that Coach Richt would put Mrs Mettenberger on paid leave this week just because her son is the QB UGA released who no QBs the LSU team. Don't you think she'd already have told her son everything she knows?

---

L-E headline: "U.S. home sales hit 6½-year high but could slow soon " -- Hmmm, so now it looks like buyer haste to close deals at lower mortgage rates will cost them in home value losses as soon as newer rates go up. That's really good for the economic situation.... NOT!

---

L-E story: "SEOUL, South Korea — South Korea on Tuesday rejected Boeing Co.’s bid to supply 60 fighter jets in the country’s largest-ever weapons purchase even though it was the sole remaining bidder, and said it would reopen the tender. * Boeing had offered its F-15 Silent Eagle, but South Korean critics have said the warplane lacks state-of-the-art stealth capabilities" -- OK, then screw'em... let'em build their own... either that or trade'em Dennis Rodman to be their ambassador to North Korea.

---

So a mini-series about Johnny Carson is in the works. Hmmm, might work... most of Johnny's comments about politicians then would seem to fit today's politicians, too, and Carnac was a better economic advisor.
