Rand Paul wants all of Congress and the Supreme Court Justices to have to
enroll in ObamaCare. I say give them the option to keep what they have , but
order the IRS to file Tax Evasion charges if they do not sign up for ObamaCare.
After all, the Supreme Court ruled ObamaCare was a tax....

Who says/thinks that your guns you've bought aren't registered? Watching
Pawn Stars, Rick Harrison told a seller he had to be assured any firearm he
bought was manufactured in 1898 or earlier. Otherwise, it has to be registered
with ATF.

Online story: "Maryland's gun laws are widely considered tougher than those
of neighboring Virginia, but they would not have stopped the Navy Yard shooter
from buying a shotgun and walking out of a store with it the same day. *
Authorities said Aaron Alexis' Monday shooting spree that killed 12 in
Washington began with a 12-gauge, 870 Remington pump-action shotgun. He had
purchased it two days before from a Virginia gun shop. * If Alexis — who police
said had brushes with the law and showed signs of mental illness — had visited a
Maryland gun store instead, he would have been able to walk out with the same
gun. * Most of Maryland's strict laws about background checks, waiting periods
and purchase limits apply only to regulated firearms, which in most cases means
handguns and assault rifles" -- Well, well, Bleep Veep Biden does know
something... it was he that suggested that Jill going out on their balcony and
firing off a couple of shotgun rounds was all they needed to security.

Online story about "8 things you need to know about 'shutdowns' ": (This is
the Readers Digest version) 1- In the event of a shutdown, you'll get your mail
and your entitlement check - 2 - Since a new budgeting process was put into
place in 1976, the U.S. government has shut down 17 times. Presidents Jimmy
Carter and Ronald Reagan each dealt with six shutdowns during their terms in
office, lasting anywhere from one day to 2 1/2 weeks. * The last actual shutdown
came in 1996 - 3 - The last shutdown lasted three weeks - 4 - Only federal
employees deemed "essential" would continue to come to work during a shutdown.
Employees who qualify as essential include those involved in national security,
protecting life and property and providing benefit payments. * That means
members of the military, border control agents, air traffic controllers, the FBI
and the TSA are among those who would remain on duty. The president and members
of Congress are also exempt from furlough and must decide which of their
respective staff members to keep around during a shutdown. - 5 - Even in the
event of a shutdown, Social Security beneficiaries will still find their checks
in their mailboxes and doctors and hospitals will receive Medicare and Medicaid
reimbursements. - 6 - Even in a shutdown, the Postal Service delivers - 7 -
Visas and Pasports: Those hoping to enter or leave the country during a shutdown
would most likely experience some difficulty. - 8 - Generally speaking, no one
comes out looking good if the government shuts down. A Pew Research poll
conducted Sept. 19-22 shows 39 percent of Americans would blame Republicans if a
shutdown were to occur, compared with 36 percent who would fault the Obama
administration and 17 percent who would hold both sides responsible. According
to a Pew poll from a comparable period during the 2011 budget battle, the public
spread the blame around nearly identically. -- Don't let the mainstream media or
Obamarats get you down.
---
Looking at the above synopsis, Congress should look very close at what is
considered essential, and just incorporate those jobs in the ongoing
future.
---
One thing that would serve us (and US) better would be to shut down the
White House Press Corp invitations to all networks which did not cover the
9-11-13 memorial services. Just the cost of food and beverages would save a
ton.

Online story: " A former FBI explosives expert said Monday he will plead
guilty to revealing secret information for an Associated Press story about a
U.S. intelligence operation in Yemen in 2012. The story led to a leaks
investigation and the seizure of AP phone records in the government's search for
the information's source. * Donald Sachtleben of Carmel, Ind., said in court
papers that he provided details of the operation to a reporter. Four months ago,
Sachtleben also acknowledged he distributed and possessed pornographic images of
underage girls." -- First question is why was/is the FBI in Yemen. I thought the
FBI operated in the borders of out country, and the CIA/NSA handled foreign
problems. Secondly, why didn't the FBI have closer control on the character of
its agent? Were the underage porno images part of the underage sex market in
Yemen that's been in the news recently?

McClatchy headline: "Warren Buffett says not raising debt limit would be
'dumb'" -- Hmmm, seems McClatchy id cherry-picking its stories. Last week Buffet
said ObamaCare was dumb.
---
McClatchy story: "WASHINGTON — Lois Lerner, at
the center of the Internal Revenue Service scandal and in the crosshairs of
Congress, stepped down on Monday before an internal review reportedly was set to
remove her for mismanagement." -- Why isn't McClatchy spearheading a revolt for
Lerner being able to "retire" (with full benefits) under this cloud of doubt and
treachery? Contact you Congress people and raise hell.
---
Once again, how can Judas 00-bama draw a line in the sign saying he won't
negotiate on another "continuing resolution" to keep the government from
shutting down? He openly states he will negotiate with foreign despots, but not
with the interest of America's children's futures. Besides, his resolve about
"lines in the sand' has already been found wanting.

A parent, at a public forum in Maryland for public schools was escorted
out, handcuffed, and taken to jail for speaking out against "Common Core"
curriculum. The school board's excuse was he wasn't "following the protocol". Of
course the "protocol," was to submit questions in writing so the board could
answer the questions it wanted to answer. Our MCSD is now using "Common Core". I
have formally questioned the use if a book, The Bluest Eye", which explores the
"feelings" of pedophiles, child abusers, and rapists from a sympathetic point if
view. It is called "exemplar text" for 11th graders. As you can guess, the MCSD
has not gotten back with me on it.
---
Former US Ambassador to the UN, John Bolton, stated strongly that Iran's
new president should be categorized as "a terrorist" , and Judas 00-bama
shouldn't shake hands with him. I agree, but that doesn't bother me as much as
00-bama possibly bowing to him.

As "sequester 2" approaches, does anyone know if any foreign aid payments
were cut during "sequester 1"?
---
Religious tolerance? Is that what 0bamarats feel Muslims exhibit when
Muslim terrorists assault a Kenyan mall, and tell Muslims to leave, and if they
can't pass a Muslim "pop test", the terrorists "pop" them execution style.
---
Profiling? How about the religious purge of Christians? That's what going
on in Kenya at the "Mall". Wonder if any of the merchants are Jewish?
---
Nancy Pelosi says there's nothing left to be cut in government spending.
Well, I can think of one right off the bat... her travel and office perks.

Online story: "LOS ANGELES -- A California man behind an anti-Muslim film
that led to violence in parts of the Middle East is due to be freed from federal
custody in a separate case, an official said Monday. * Nakoula Basseley Nakoula,
56, is scheduled for release on Thursday from a halfway house in Southern
California where he's been held since May," -- This is the guy that Judas
00-bama and Hillary, and Susan King persecuted as being responsible for the
attack at Benghazi. He was arrested but no real terrorists have been, as none of
the dead 4 American's families have been comforted with having the facts of the
State Department being negligent. Let's organize an investment group and finance
Nakoula's new video on Hillary! Maybe even a series to run on NBC.

Online headline: "People with disabilities will no longer go straight to
the front of lines at Disneyland and Walt Disney World after growing abuse of
the system, park officials said. * Under the change, visitors will be issued
tickets with a return time and a shorter wait similar to the FastPass system
that's offered to everyone." -- It's about time.! I know some legitimate needs
will be affected, but when you have been standing in line fro 45-60 minutes with
no relief in immediate sight, it sorts POs people to watch some one in a
wheelchair (with no proof of disability required) go in 'the back door' with a
large group of healthy individuals who are considered part of the "party" with
needs.

L-E columnist Karl Douglass's columns whine enough, but when you consider
he's a paid re-election staffer for Congressman Bishop, his whining is on
"PED"s.
---
When you think about it, none of the black columnists that the L-E
publishes on a regular basis ever has a positive presentation about the
future.
---
Government cannot create " upward classes" by redistribution. Government
can chip away at the massive middle class until it becomes overburdened in
debt, and by doing so, government just destroys the initiative of the middle
class to better itself.
---
L-E story: " The Obama administration edged close to direct, high-level
talks with Iran’s new government on Monday, with Secretary of State John Kerry
slated to meet his Iranian counterpart this week and the White House weighing
the risks and rewards of an encounter between President Barack Obama and Iran’s
president, Hasan Rouhani." -- This is pathetic! A strong US would demand to whom
it wants to speak with, and it would be on a "take it or leave it" basis. Now
every jackrabbit despot sees the US as weakening by the hour.
---
L-E story: " BOSTON — Lawyers for Boston Marathon bombing
suspect (Bomber (_*_) Brother 2) have asked a judge to order federal
prosecutors to give them more time to make their case against the death
penalty. " -- There should be only one consideration for this... that being the
lawyers are doing the whole case on a 'pro bono' basis rather than looking for
more billable hours.
---
L-E story: " President Bashar Assad
pledged in an interview broadcast Monday to honor an agreement to surrender
Syria’s stockpile of chemical weapons, but he said that rebels might try to
block international arms inspectors from doing their work." -- If Uncle Uncle
Remus were still alive, he'd jump at the chance to get out his pen and
rewrite/update his "Br'er Rabbir and the Briar Patch" story. New characters
would be Br'er Obama as Bre'er Fox, and Br'er Biden as Br'er Bear. Putin,
Karzai, Rouhani, and ASSwad would be fighting over the role of Br'er
Rabbit.
---
In the L-E (www.ledger-enquire.com) is a letter
from retired local FBI agent Bud Paepke. He nails the problems with the free
federal school lunch programs. It's a very worthwhile read.
---
A L-E letter from Pat McHenry, CSU
professor and bicycle advocate, makes an impassioned plea for the
reworking/improvements on Martin Luther King Blvd here in Columbus, but I
disagree with him on his "feelings". People currently race through there at 50
MPH because they are concerned about their safety, and somehow, I cannot see the
road becoming a have for bicycle traffic... to or from anywhere.
---
L-E headline/story: "GEORGIA’S EFFORT to deepen 30 miles of the Savannah
River to accommodate the larger ships is waiting on Congress to eliminate a
final bureaucratic hurdle. * In Georgia, port
officials have received the required permits, but the $652 million project has
been held up because when Congress authorized the project in 1999, it had a
spending cap of $459 million." -- Yeah, and the Judas 00-bama's crack economic
team swears there's only 1% (or less) inflation.
---
L-E story: "A school accused of improperly disposing
of 24 computer monitors is facing a $10,000 fine from the Alabama Department of
Environmental Management. reported
Monday AL.com that Alabama School of Math and Science officials
are accused of burying the equipment in May 2012 at a site in Chatom. * The
Alabama School of Mathematics and Science (ASMS) is the state's only fully
public residential high school for sophomores, juniors, and seniors seeking
advanced studies in mathematics, science, and the humanities * established in
1989 by the Alabama State Legislature to identify, challenge, and train
Alabama's future leaders. Tuition and room and board are free. * A roughly $6
million operating budget for the school is supplied by the state" -- Great
leadership... NOT! Nor great example of conservancies. Of course, the $10K
'fine" is a bargain to the school administrators as they cannot possibly
retrieve the wrongly disposed properties from the landfill, and dispose of them
properly for that amount.
Besides, the taxpayers are the ones getting stuck
from all sides.
---
Online story: "President Barack Obama says he hasn't had a smoke in years –
thanks in no small part to first lady Michelle Obama. * Obama was chatting
privately with a U.N. official Monday and said he hoped the official had quit
smoking. The exchange was caught on camera and aired on CNN. * After the
official appeared to ask Obama about his own cigarette use, Obama said he hadn't
had a cigarette in probably six years. * He added, with a broad grin, "That's
because I'm scared of my wife." -- As Reagan would have said, "Well, there you
go again." Lying.... that is. Judas 00-bama has been in the White House 4 years
and 8 months, far less than 6 years, and who photo-tagged smoking in the White
House. You know... maybe it wasn't tobacco, and by Obamarat definition of "is"
, is innocent of such claims.
