Online story: "The 70-year-old Biden has left open the possibility of a run
for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination in order to get a chance to
succeed President Barack Obama. * Biden extolled Obama's leadership, defending
his handling of the economy and the crisis over Syria's chemical weapons. And,
Biden gave himself a bit of credit for being part of the team. * Obama, said
Biden, reduced the national debt by $2.5 trillion "and in the process we've
created 2.5 million new jobs. But folks, there's a lot more we have to do." --
Reduced the debt and created 2.5 Million jobs? ... maybe he reduced the debt in
the third-world countries with our tax dollars, and created jobs in the
countries that our illegal aliens are returning to after the job markets here
shriveled up, but ....

Our daughter wanted to watch the Miss America Pageant, and there being
nothing else on, my bride and I watched a while also. It was a disaster..I could
not remember the last one I watched, but this one will definitely be the last
one I watched.

WTVM9 headline/story: " Rape victim confronts alleged attacker with angry
mob * Police caught up with Matthew Finch on Swann Street as he was being chased
by an angry mob. He was arrested and taken to jail for obstructing police, and
detectives say they are waiting to conduct forensic tests before charging him
with the rape." -- Too bad the "angry mob" didn't catch him. These street thugs
need to know their neighbors are tired of them, and aren't going to take it any
more.

Online story: "EL PASO, Texas—A contaminated bunker discovered at a West
Texas military post had nearly seven times more than the level of accepted
radiation, according to a military report obtained by a newspaper. * The bunker
at the Biggs Army Airfield at Fort Bliss in El Paso was examined by inspectors
in June. Army officials revealed shortly afterward that they found radioactivity
in a bunker on the military post, but said there was no risk to those who worked
in the bunker during the 1950s and 1960s. " -- Excise me, but this isn't about
those who worked there in the 50s-60s. They would be at least 75+. What about
people who dies earlier, and those working there now?

Online story: "GLENDALE, Calif. (AP) — A Southern California school
district is trying to stop cyberbullying and a host of other teenage ills by
monitoring the public posts students make on social media outlets in a program
that has stirred debate about what privacy rights teenage students have when
they fire up their smartphones. * Glendale Unified School District hired Geo
Listening last year to track posts by its 14,000 or so middle and high school
students." -- Excuse, government seems to be able to get away with parenting
during school hours, but this is a violation of rights. It's labeling,
profiling, as well as invasive, and taxpayers are seeing their dollars drained
out of the classrooms.

Online story: "WASHINGTON — Facing strident
opposition from women’s groups and fellow Democrats, Obama administration
economic confidante Lawrence H. Summers removed his name from consideration to
the head the Federal Reserve, the White House said late Sunday." -- Why can't
the "women's groups" and "fellow Democrats" do something right and get the
source of our problems to step down?

Online headline: "Tim Geithner Still Not Interested In Fed Chair" --
Obviously, Geithner saw what Clint Eastwood does with an empty chair.

You know if Syria is happy with "the deal" why is Judas 00-bama

Science occasionally forgets that logic is important. Some are developing
edible wrappers for candy/snacks.. Why? To me, the wrapper, besides being
advertising, I'd to protect it from outside elements and keep it fresh. I don't
want to put something in my mouth someone else has fondled or pulled from
his/her pocket/pocketbook.

Online story: "Modern researchers have puzzled for centuries over the
striking stone construction known as Stonehenge. But now researchers have
discovered new aspects of the site, including a processional road, that may
eventually help unravel some of its mysteries. * And here we have it –- the
missing piece in the jigsaw," Heather Sebire, properties curator and
archaeologist at English Heritage . "It is very exciting to find a piece of
physical evidence that officially makes the connection which we were hoping
for." * While the purpose of the Avenue is not exactly clear, " -- Hmmm, it's
"the connection" she was hoping for but it's "not exactly clear"....? What was
her previous grant funded job... working with Algore on Global Warming?

It's Monday... Why does a coach who's team has kept the other team out of
their end zone for nearly 50 minutes change the defense from what has been
working to a "prevent defense". Such was the plight of the Mississippi State
defense.
---
Reminder:
---
The NFL, the NCAA for that matter, needs a new rule. Following a touchdown,
or a defensive tackle/sack, cameras should not be allowed to focus in on a
single player strutting his stuff. No end zone dances/spikes, no chest
bumping/pounding. Keep those shots off TV and the stadium visual screens.

From the L-E's "Today in History" feature: "One year ago, in appearances on Sunday news shows,
the U.S. ambassador to the UN, Susan Rice, said there was no evidence that the
attack on the U.S. diplomatic outpost in Benghazi, Libya, was premeditated. " --
And Hillary, 00-bama, and Bleep Veep
Biden are still standing by that story.

Curious, why would Columbus Regional take
divertive tactics of giving new.. different.. names to all it's facilities, yet
keep its original internet domain name?
---
You know, when you see people complaining
about what the minimum wage ought to be, they are usually unappreciative of the
job they do have, and are not earning the wage they are being paid at the
time.
---
L-E headline: "MUSCOGEE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT * Board to honor
Phillips, vote on school name " -- Is the MCSD board trying to alienate EVERYONE
in Columbus in one fell swoop?
---
As far a naming the new school on
Benning Drive, what's wrong with Benning (or Benning Drive) School in honor of
Fort or General Benning?

Just a random observation, but how can a person who's favorite concert
is/was "The Three Tenors" (Pavarotti, Carreras, and Domingo) be considered to
choose public art for everyone else?
