Online headline/story: "California Minimum Wage Increase To $10 An Hour
Passes Both Houses, Gov. Brown Expected To Sign * Assembly Speaker John A.
Perez, (D-Los Angeles), disputed the claim that raising the minimum wage would
reduce jobs. “The real winner here is the economy. A $10 hour minimum wage
boosts earnings by $4,000 a year and will put $2.6 billion dollars back into the
hands of workers,” -- Is there a "Stupid School" for California Congress
People? A higher "minimum wage" does nothing towards eliminating poverty, it
eliminates marginal and marginal+ applicants from potential entry level jobs.
The good thing about this will be migration of companies, thus people, to other
states, and the further reduction of California Congresspeople.

HuffPost headline: "Syria Chemical Weapons Death Toll May Have Been

Online story: "Florida was strongly criticized by the federal government on
Thursday for barring outreach workers, known as "navigators," from county health
departments when they start enrolling people next month for insurance under
President Barack Obama's healthcare reform law. * "This is another blatant and
shameful attempt to intimidate groups who will be working to inform Americans
about their new health insurance options and help them enroll in coverage," said
U.S. Health and Human Services Department spokesman Fabien Levy. * He was
referring to a directive from the Florida Department of Health, issued to local
health department directors across the state earlier this week. "Navigators will
not conduct activities on the grounds of the health departments," it said." --
You know, campaigning , even campaign literature, is banned within so many feet
of an polling place during elections... there's no difference in barring
"government campaigners" from health departments where people are electing
options.

Syria turning over its chemical weapons stockpile to Russia is akin to
Br'er Bear and Br'er Fox finally being talked into finally tossing Br'er Rabbit
into 'that dar briarpatch'. I can still hear Br'er Rabbit laughing.

Forget "Elvis has left the building".. Voyager 1 has left the
"heliosphere". Launched in 1977, Voyager 1 has traveled 11.7 BILLION miles, and
is traveling at 38,000 MPH. Put those figures in your calculator.

Under Bush43, health care costs were calculated as being 1/7th of our
economy... now health care industry is referred to as 1/6th of the economy. Some
of the increase can be attributed to the weakness in the economy, but most of it
us purely the higher costs of compliance with ObamaCare.

If anything needs to be done now in Syria, it's to let ASSwad wipe out
Hamas, Hezbollah, and al Qaida rebels, then, and only then take out ASSwad's
regime. Syria does not need jihadist rebels to take over because we armed them.
This is not a revolution for freedom.

The Republicans have the best poster child ever to base election campaigns
on. ASSwad. Since he believes in using chemicals to kill unwanted children,
ASSwad would be the perfect face to associate with "Pro-Choice" rallies and
campaigns.

On a local issue in federal court concerning 'gender discrimination', the
only such I have heard going on was the Chief Deputy making a stand that only a
woman should be considered for the job in question, and not necessarily the
"best woman" available, just a woman. The Chief Deputy should be the target of
the discrimination suit.

L-E headline: "Peachtree Mall’s main
entrance will be closed for two months
Construction ‘hopefully’ done for holiday shopping"
-- I remember when it opened that this entry to PeachTree Mall was only granted
a 'temporary' status. Is this the state's way of finally making it a
'permanent'
egress/ingress?

L-E Editorial: "Enrollment drop means higher
ed needs more help * So the University System is asking more from the state,
because it's getting less from the students. It has managed to offset that loss
-- about $20 million -- by an increase in maintenance funding. But obviously
that's no remedy for the core problem." -- "no remedy for the core problem"? The
core problem is over staffing, and the state can't see this? Do what private
businesses have to do when 'business' is off... downsize so all jobs are
jeopardized.

Remember a few weeks ago when I asked if
anyone knew what the current enrollment at CSU was? Now we know why
Cock-of-the-walk MesCON has been muted. All hois plans were contingent on
continuous enrollment growth. What's your new plan,
MesCON?

L-E Online headline: "Uptown success can

Success" be considered a success? Council has just approved spending
$1,300,000.00 to repair the banks of the Chattahoochee from damages caused by
shifting and speeding up the water flow, and it will take all the rafting
revenue received by the City for the next 64 years to pay for it.
