Online story: "The Obama administration will sue the state of North Carolina on Monday in an effort to block an array of voting restrictions passed by Republican officials this year, a source briefed on the Justice Department's plans told The Huffington Post. * DOJ will also ask a federal judge to force the state to seek permission from the Justice Department or in federal court to make changes to its voting laws and procedures, using the bail-in process under Section 3 of the Voting Rights Act." -- What vindictiveness! Judas 00-bama's ego must be built like an iceberg... what we see is but 10% or so of what it actually is. First, the new law was not a "Republican officials" act, it was a law passed by two chambers of duly elected representatives and signed by a duly elected governor. Case closed.

There is only one reason not to require valid identification for voter registration; there are millions of reasons TO require one.

---

OK, the House has submitted a valid alternative to the Senate to avoid a shutdown, and the Senate has to act. Where are the headlines, "It's up the Democrats to stop the government shutdown"?

---

Mainstream media looks at the loggerhead between the Republican Party and the Democratic Party as a one way story. Is that what the mainstream media's job is? Not if it has journalistic integrity. Journalism has digressed to a point where it seemingly desires to create public opinion rather than report facts, and let the public decide for itself.

---

Online story: "BOSTON -- College graduates struggling to repay their student loans should have an easier time getting their debt eliminated if they go into bankruptcy, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) said Saturday." -- The idiot sits in our Senate and preaches about the importance of the "full faith and credit" of the US. Excuse me, but the "full faith and credit" of the US is built upon the "full faith and credit" of its citizens.

---

Judas 00-bama vows he won't negotiate the "full faith and credit" of the United States. Does he mean only with Republicans, because he sure has kicked the "full faith and credit" our allies use to feel assured of.

---

I just made an online order, and for the second time, the GA sales tax was charged on the shipping and handling fees. It's coming via the USPS. How can a sales tax be added on US postage? Have you ever been charged a sales tax at the Post Office?

---

Online headline: "Reid's Spokesman Says Senate Will Reject House Bill" -- "Reid's Spokesman"? Our Senators have spokespersons? No wonder Reid doesn't want to operate under a budget!

From the "who'da thunkit" department - Acura has 3, yes, 3 of 10 the worst selling models in America. In fact, Acura has 3 of the 6 worst selling vehicles in America.

---

You can bet the Democrats will never show the movie "Lincoln" at a National Convention. When Lincoln was discussing what he needed to get the 13th Amendment passed so it could be given to the states to vote on,he told his confidant that "he had ALL the Republicans", but needed to find 20 Democrats to sign it. Imagine, it was the Democrats that fought ending slavery in 1865, just as they enacted it in 1965 with LBJ's "Great Society".

---

Anyone watch the movie "Lincoln"? His Attorney General, James Speed, son of John Speed and Lucy Gilmer Fry Speed, was the great-grandson of Col Joshua Fry, my ggggg-grandfather. Just a neat random thought I'm passing on. Mary Todd Lincoln was also kin, as was John C. Breckenridge, who ran against Lincoln in 1860... and became the Secretary of War for the South. Talk about a "House Divided".

---

Mainstream media is livid because Senator Cruz "tweeted" a picture of a chess board on which the kings/queens positions were reversed. Republicans are damned if they adhere to traditional gender positions and damned if they equalize women and men. Why do Republicans TRY to relate to the liberals. Samual L. Jackson just cursed Judas 00-bama for trying to "relate" rather than lead.. the same is true for Republicans.

Online story: "Islamic terrorists dressed in Nigerian military uniforms assaulted a college inside the country Sunday, gunning down dozens of students as they slept in their dorms and shot others trying to flee, witnesses say. * "They started gathering students into groups outside, then they opened fire and killed one group and then moved onto the next group and killed them. It was so terrible," one surviving student, who would only give his first name of Idris, told Reuters." -- You know Sharpton or Jackson ain't going to go there, but where does Louis Farrakhan, absolute leader of the Nation of Islam stand on this?
---
McClatchy story: "A year ago, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu captured international attention when he drew a red line on a cartoon likeness of a bomb during a speech at the United Nations on Iran’s nuclear program. * When he addresses the world body on Tuesday, a day after meeting President Barack Obama, he will face a more daunting task." -- Isn't the real story here that Judas 00-bama is throwing Israel under the bus?

From a fellow BCer - Talk about hitting the nail on the head:

Random thought: Recently, e-mails for donations to www.barackobama/organizingforaction.com have become more often and more urgent for donations... perhaps the minions of Judas 00-bama are becoming weary.
---
Just got another e-mail from www.barackobama/organizingforaction.com. Yes, for a donation, but something has changed. My membership used to be classified as "active", but now it's listed as "pending". Judas 00-bama must be getting testier.
---
You know, all the "pending" actions involving Iran and Syria and Russia have accomplished is to divert attention from all the other scandals of the 00-bama administration.... by design? You betcha!
---
L-E story: "St. Nicholas Episcopal Church, Hamilton, Ga., has received a grant of $50,000 to enable its minister, the Rev. Jeff Jackson, to participate in the 2013 National Clergy Renewal Program funded by the Indianapolis-based Lilly Endowment Inc. and administered by Christian Theological Seminary. * Father Jackson and the congregation have put together a program focused on music of the United Kingdom. In the summer of 2015, Father Jeff and his family will travel to Iona, Scotland; areas around London, England; and the west coast of Ireland to tour cathedrals , music festivals and even pubs to hear the diverse music of the British Isles. St. Nicholas will also engage in a similar program while Father Jeff is away." -- I have no doubt that Father Jackson is a good man, but it sounds to me that tax deductible donations have been doled out for a personal luxury vacation.
---
L-E story: "Keep Columbus Beautiful Commission has launched a community-wide Shoe Recycling Campaign. The goal is to divert shoes from our landfill, reuse them by sending them to developing countries, and to raise funds to support KCBC’s programs and projects. Committee co-Chairperson " -- Perhaps this should be rethought. It seems as most 3rd world developing countries are Muslim, and the sight of used shoe soles might be akin to waving a red flag at a disgruntled bull.
---
Low info voter's L-E "soundoff": "A Washington economist said that a $10 federal minimum wage would cause fast food prices to increase an average of 7 percent. No big deal, according to consumer polls." -- Hmmm, a "Washington economist"... as if any Washington economist has ANY credibility? Now, if a hamburger restaurant owner said this, it might make a difference, BUT, to raise it only 7% (that's not 7 cents for you low info voters), the owner would probably have to eliminate a job or two or more and get the remaining workers to work harder than they currently do... that ain't gonna happen. If all workers worked harder, owners would pay them more to make sure they didn't leave for other jobs.
---
You know, when I was in retail, I fired one person in my career, a salesman who imbibed on several beers while at lunch. Never had fire someone who started at entry level, as the goods one got quick raises, and the rest left on gtheor own to find another job that would maybe pay'em more than they were worth.
---
Another low info voter's L-E "soundoff" headline/text: "Don’t forget Oklahoma City * Columbine, Virginia Tech, Sandy Hook, Washington Navy Yard … homegrown terrorism has arrived." -- Even the L-E left out a major terrorist events: Waco, Wounded Knee, Ruby Ridge, Boston, 9-11-01, "fast&furious", IRS,and Washington Obamarats and ObamaCare. Help me out if you remember more.
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “Nothing you can’t spell will ever work.” — Will Rogers, American humorist (1879-1935). -- Hmmm, now we know why Judas 00-bama (mainstream media for that matter) doesn't want his middle name in print.
---
L-E headline: "Atlanta logs dramatic turnaround in homelessness" -- Hmmm, that reminds me... what are we into locally.. the 3rd year of Mayor Obamalinson's "End Homelessness in 10 years" program. Have any goals, other than meeting of the committee, been met? For that matter, have any goals been set?
---
L-E's "Quotable": “If a free society cannot help the many who are poor, it cannot save the few who are rich.” John F. Kennedy 35th U.S. President (1917-1963)" -- Too bad liberal historians have re-defined Kennedy. Now it's "If government cannot save the many who are poor, it will not save the free society".
---
It's a poor columnist/editorialist who completely discharges an opposing opinion. The L-E should evaluate every one of it's opinionists, and weed out those that cannot, will not, acknowledge that even opposing views have some issues that need to be considered with their own.
