Rush Limbaugh has written a kid's book called—wait for it—"Rush Revere and
the Brave Pilgrims: Time-Travel Adventures with Exceptional Americans." -- Hmmm,
now here's an accurate recall of early American history that won't make it by
most school systems' censorship committee, but the book "The Bluest Eye" by Toni
Morrison, which lets high school students 'get into' the mind of pedophiles and
rapists so students can understand and be compassionate of such perverts is
considered "exemplar text" in the Common Core" curriculum.

Online story: "WASHINGTON, Sept 5 (Reuters) - The United States has
intercepted an order from an Iranian official instructing militants in Iraq to
attack U.S. interests in Baghdad in the event the Obama administration launches
a military strike in Syria, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday." --
Hmmm, sorta like if Judas 00-bama 'flops', Iran will "flip'....
---
Let's see... Judas 00-bama feels it's OK to fire tomahawk missiles into
Syria as long as he doesn't have "boots on the ground", and so it's not a
Declaration of War. Hmmm, guess the Japanese emperor felt the same when he sent
bombers into Pearl Harbor, so maybe we had no right to return the favor with
atomic bombs. That's liberal logic...

A few days ago, one of our BCers asked me why I've been opposed to so much
of the Whitewater Project. A couple in the past have mentioned this also. This
is how I responded: "When the idea was first proposed, I was ardently in favor
of it. Got my first visual intro in 2002 when Laura Spencer did her Brookstone
8th Grade speech on restoring the Chattahoochee. I'm just disappointed in how
commercial it has become...not the use of the natural aspects, but the manmade
revisions." -- It's been no bargain for Columbus. A $2 Million dollar
restoration project turned into a $25 Million dollar commercialization. Ironic..
it was from a previous commercialization of the river's resources that this idea
began. Most of the money has come from taxpayers in one form or another. The
most direct beneficiary is an Atlanta firm to which the bulk of the moneys spent
go to. Columbus get a small fee as does UPtown, but there are no sales taxes
collected on the rafting expenditures, so Columbus and GA actually get will
little for its investment, and the main beneficiary has had only the cost
of equipment as his investment.

In spite of the similar number of Walmart employees (2.2 million) and
federal employees (2+ million), there is a noticeable difference... Walmart
employees contribute a bottom line profit and still pay taxes that pay federal
employees who can't stay within their budget.

Online story: "The authors of "Batwoman" are exiting due to creative differences with DC Comics. Their decision came, in part, after an alleged ban on a same-sex marriage storyline. * Co-authors J.H. Williams and W. Haden Blackman announced they plan to leave "Batwoman" after issue #26 is released in December" -- It's bad enough when women's groups try to infiltrate our children's minds, but two guys? A purported superhero should be presented fighting crime against man, not nature.

Online headline: "Alec Baldwin's MSNBC Show Announced: Actor Will Host 'Up
Late'" -- So "CRAP-ital ONE" goes 'slime time'. I have but 2 words to say about
this: "Up Yours".
---
News Flash: "Report: J.C. Penney dumps
Martha Stewart " -- It's OK... Penney's has determined her goods didn't have
enough 'insider trading" to keep her line in its stores.
---
You know... Liberal TV has decided bias against the 1st Amendment. Paula
Deen was dumped by the Food Channel, Hank Williams, Jr. was dumped by ABC Monday
Night Football, and Rush Limbaugh was dumped by the NFL, but Mikey Cyrus is
given center stage, and (_°_) B*ldwin has been given a show on PMSNBC.
---
Online headline: "Electronic Cigarette Use Rises Among Teens" -- Hmmm.. how
do teens get money to buy such? They either don't want or can't find jobs, and
how "cool" can it be to 'suck' on a fake cig?
---
Online story: "SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A gigantic wildfire in and around
Yosemite National Park was caused by an illegal fire set by a hunter, the U.S.
Forest Service said Thursday." -- Hmmm, wonder if he used an automatic or
semi-automatic lighter? Nancy Pelosi and Diane Fienstein will simultaneously
offer lighter control laws when they get back from vacation.
---
Online headline: "Obama Cancels California Trip To Focus On Syria" -- Hmmm,
Pebble Beach must have been closed.
---
While 'we' , and especially the media have been focused on Syrian
flip-flops of Judas 00-bama and his "merry men", no one has been keeping focus
on all the "phony scandals".
---
From the 'they walk among us... no longer" department - Online story: "A
man was killed on Thursday in Brooklyn after a toy helicopter fell and struck
him in the head. * The 19-year-old man lost control of the remote-control
operated machine near Bay 44th Street and Shore Parkway in Gravesend when it
fell, the rotor blades reportedly scalping him." -- That'll cost us in 2016. Now
he'll vote 2 or 3 times.
---
What is offensive about "Redskins"? We call blacks "black", and whites
"white", but "red" was already taken by the Communists and Cincinnati.
---
Remember when ads for lawyers were verboten? Those were the days.
---
Oh! How foolish we were.... You know, when Judas 00-bama made his first
"red line drawn in the sand" promise, it was during campaign season, so no one
has a right to hold him to keeping one of those.
---
You would think Liberals would be curious as to why Judas
00-bama's "Apology Tour" leaders would be eager to join the Nobel Peace Prize
winner in creating Middle-East peace... you would be wrong.
---
Video tape has revealed that the Syrian rebels Judas 00-bama wants to
supply American weapons are attacking a Christian village. Hmmmm, maybe that's
the reason Judas 00-bama wants to fund them.
---
After seeing video execution tapes on how Syrian rebels treat their
prisoners, who the hell cares how prisoners were treated at Abu Ghraib... or
Gitmo?
---
Auto sales... They are up until you look closer... It's not so much actual
sales but 2-3 year leases. Trouble is that this is what happened a few years ago
and when the lease period is over, and the cars aren't worth the lease term
value, so people turn them in, and the manufacturers are stuck with over valued
used car. Deja Vu. all over again.
---
Secretary of State Kerry has trumped Senator Kerry. Now, it seems, that
Kerry has determined Syrians killing Syrians by gas is worst than jihadists
terrorists killing Americans with bombs and bullets. One now has to ask... which
one was he "for" before he became "against" it?

L-E story: " (A CPD spokesperson) said at least two laws could have been
broken when 1-year-old Ronald Grey was left unattended by his father, Ronald
Tubbs Jr., Tuesday night in an idling 2013 Chrysler 200. A thief sped off from
the Shell Station at 3809 St. Marys Road with the boy inside the car. The boy
was found unharmed almost three hours later after the car was abandoned. * At
the convenience store, you are not supposed to leave your car running to begin
with,” Sheldon said. “You are not supposed to leave a child in the car. There
was two violations.” * Reckless conduct, a misdemeanor, is usually issued
for the charge. * “Basically you are
putting that child in danger,” Sheldon said. “It’s up to the judge to make the
decision. Sometimes parents just don’t know any better.” -- "Sometimes parents
just don't know any better"? Excuse me, but we have too much nannyism creeping
into other aspects of government. We've been overexposed to nannyism by the MCSD
system, but the bottom line is that the parents are still THE PARENTS, and the
MCSD nor the CPD owns "the rule book".
---
L-E story: "Blue
Cross Blue Shield of Georgia — having announced in recent weeks it is adding 600
jobs in Columbus — is poised to occupy office space in Muscogee Technology Park on the city’s
northeast side, in the Midland area. " -- Yeah, that's right.. ObamaCare will
simplify processing and reduce insurance costs. Yeah,
right.
---
L-E "soundoff" of interest: "September is Responsible Dog Ownership Month. I wish
my dogs were responsible. " -- Carrying it a step forward, I wish Obamarats,
both the "yellow dog" and "blue dog" types were more
responsible.
---
L-E story: "Robert Schuller diagnosed with
life-threatening cancer * LOS ANGELES —
Doctors have diagnosed Robert H. Schuller (age 86) with life-threatening cancer
and said that with treatment he could live an additional two years, his family
has announced. " -- God bless Robert Schuller and his family, but is this really
news or newsworthy? None of us has a guarantee for two more
years.
---
L-E headline: "Ohio reviewing Ariel Castro’s suicide " -- Dang! I
was hoping the review was to see if all cells of criminals who plea bargained
death for life could be so equipped as to give the convicted this
option.
---
I jokingly
mentioned that St Francis and Columbus Regional seemed to be racing to corner as
many Columbus doctors as possible to be exclusive at those hospitals. Today it
was advertised that one hospital has raided another to get him to change
'horses'. Looks like we may have a bidding war/free agency battle on our hands.
So much for ObamaCare lowering medical or insurance
costs.
---
L-E story: "Over the course of the fall and winter, University
of Alabama history professor Joshua Rothman and two graduate students will
explore Alabama’s food culture of barbecue as well as a broader focus on
foodways — how the state’s regional cuisine developed — after receiving an
$18,000 grant from the Southern Foodways Alliance, a nonprofit organization
based at the University of Mississippi that documents and celebrates the food
cultures of the South. " -- Wow... government/education in action... wasteful
action.. A Mississippi School is giving $18,000 to an Alabama school to
determine the best bbq, when all that needs to be done is order bbq plates at
any Columbus, GA or Memphis, TN bbq
restaurant.
---
L-E story: "Wildlife lovers are protesting a new
state rule they say is a death sentence for helpless baby raccoons, skunks and
other wild animals in Alabama. * The Alabama
Department of Conservation and Natural Resources said Thursday it will no longer
issue permits for the rehabilitation of raccoons, skunks, opossums, foxes,
coyotes, feral pigs or bats. Anyone who finds an orphaned animal should leave it
in the wild, the agency says, and humane organizations should euthanize any of
the animals they receive. * Basically
there is no biological reason to rehabilitate these animals,” said biologist Ray
Metzler, assistant chief of wildlife for the agency. * Removing orphaned or injured animals from the wild
and nursing them interrupts the food chain and could help spread diseases
including rabies, Metzler said." -- Can't you see the headlines about two weeks
before the next election: "Conservatives kill babies!" alongside ads for
Liberals, "Liberals are lovingly
pro-choice"?
---
L-E headline:
"Orlando’s electric cars offer a vacation from
gas prices * Enterprise Rent-A-Car program began Thursday * Under a new program announced Thursday called Drive
Electric Orlando, anyone who rents one of 15 Nissan Leaf cars from Enterprise
Rent-A-Car will be able to charge the car for free. * Here’s how it works: Once a driver rents the Leaf
(at a cost of about $30 a day or less) at the Enterprise counter at the Orlando
International Airport, they can stop at any of the kiosks in the area when the
car has a low charge. * More than 25 hotels,
including The Peabody Orlando and Renaissance Orlando, have charging stations,
and valets will charge the cars overnight." -- Hmmm... caveat emptor... buyer of
this BS beware! It'll be hard enough to get from your hotel to Disney and back
on a single charge, and you'll have to spend an extra night in Orlando to
recharge your Leaf so you want get a re-charging fee added onto your bill for
returning the car with low fuel. Wait and
see.
