From the "suspicions confirmed" department - HuffPost story: " The secretive network of liberal donors known as the Democracy Alliance has chosen longtime progressive activist Gara LaMarche to be its new leader, according to at least five people in and outside the organization familiar with the decision. The alliance can be unwieldy to manage because some rich donors act as if the wealth they or their forebears managed to extract from society is evidence of an unusual talent that transfers to other areas of life, including politics and movement building." -- "unwieldy.....rich donors act...wealth.. extracted from society...unusual talent.. transfers to other areas of life..including politics and movement building"? These folks are Marxists! This describes the liberal ideal of living off others people's money, and some being more equal than others.

Online story: "The United States is reportedly planning to cut back much of its military aid to Egypt. * CNN reported on Tuesday that the U.S. was prepared to halt aid to the country, citing an anonymous official with knowledge on the decision. Reuters, citing an unnamed official, reported that the U.S. was "leaning toward" cutting off most military aid. * White House National Security Council spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden responded to the reports. * "The reports that we are halting all military assistance to Egypt are false," Hayden said in a statement" -- Hmmm, here's a perfect way to answer a question by not answering the question... it "ALL" depends on how you define "all".
---
So the new Fed chief will probably be Janet Yellen. Not a fan of west coast economics but she is married.... and to a male. Believe she's picked to fall on 00-bama's sword and raise interest rates on demand. Libs love her.
---
Online story: "Kansas and Arizona are suing the U.S. Election Assistance Commission after a U.S. Supreme Court ruling said Arizona could not demand proof of citizenship from those submitting a federal voter registration form." -- This is just backasswards... The Federal Election Commission should DEMAND proof of citizenship and states should be allowed to do so or not for non-federal elections.
---It's sad... more than sad, more in the pathetic range, that Judas 00-bama has denied the immediate response funding to the families of fallen soldiers. He's anguishing our soldiers' families by blaming this shortfall on the shutdown rather than just getting one of the "essential" employees to transfer the funds. What could be simpler, or more comforting? And not just comforting to the families of the fallen, but to the soldiers in combat zones and their families. UPDATE: The Marines have come to the rescue!
---
McClatchy headline: "President Obama warns debt ceiling default would hurt US globally" -- Judas 00-bama has a very difficult time looking in a mirror and seeing what the problem is. The world already thinks we have DEFAULTED!
---
Online story: "Feds Try to Close the OCEAN Because of Shutdown
Just before the weekend, the National Park Service informed charter boat captains in Florida that the Florida Bay was "closed" due to the shutdown. Until government funding is restored, the fishing boats are prohibited from taking anglers into 1,100 square-miles of open ocean." -- Hmmm, I guess Judas 00-bama wanted to keep boats out in case he wanted to go jogging on the water,
---
I'm confused... again.. Judas 00-bama vacillates between acting like Nixon and Hitler.
----
Online headline: "Off-duty NYPD officer allegedly seen pounding SUV arrested on riot charge" -- What a nightmare thought... don't you know that Alexian Lien was thinking, praying, "Where's a cop when you really need one" and learning later it was a cop who was kicking him? The rest of the NYPD need to publicly execute these undercover "perverts".
---
Looks like Judas 00-bama is bringing in a new "F-bomb". He claims he's not "budgin" on negotiations, but we know he's "Fudgin" on the facts.
---
Online story: "Last week, it was a couple of teenagers suspended for a year for playing with airsoft guns on the front lawn. This week, it’s a second-grader suspended for a day for using his finger as a pretend gun. * Yes, eight-year-old Jordan Bennett was sent home after administrators at Harmony Community School in Harmony, Florida, concluded that the gesture was an act of violence. School district officials have told the press that their code of conduct prohibits students from playing with invisible guns." -- Wonder if the kid was wearing an invisible turban and invisible AK-47 would he have been praised for his acceptance of diversity?
---
Online story: "The U.S. Treasury needed to pay off a record of approximately $7,546,726,000,000 in maturing Treasury securities in fiscal 2013, which ended last Monday, according to Treasury's official accounting. * During the same period, the Treasury turned around and issued another $8,323,949,000,000 in new Treasury securities." -- You know, Bernie Madoff was penny ante....
---
On the cover if a September issue of Time was a promo for Joe Klien's article, "Obama's worst move". I just want to know how he narrowed that down to a specific "move"..
---
Online story...California...again: "Illegal immigrants can be licensed to practice law in California under one of eight bills expanding immigrant rights that were signed by Governor Jerry Brown on Saturday." -- Now we know why 'Moonbeam' vetoed a the bill to allow illegal immigrants from serving on juries... conflict of interests...
---
L-E story: " Former Phenix City Councilman Arthur Sumbry Sr., who once vowed he would never plead guilty to charges against him in exchange for a lighter penalty, pleaded guilty Tuesday to forgery in exchange for a sentence of probation, restitution and a promise never to seek public office again." -- Once again, the legal system has failed itself and the public.. Br'er Sumbry is just a laffin' from his briar patch.
---
Low info voter's L-E "soundoff": " The only people I hear complaining about the Affordable Care Act are people who already have health insurance. I am happy for my fellow citizens to finally be able to have affordable health care." -- Hmmm, the only people I know who refer to ObamaCare as the Affordable Care Act are Obamarats, and the people who didn't have insurance before are certainly not going to pay more for it now out of their own pockets. What's really changed..everything else that wasn't suppose to do so.
---L-E story: " WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama apologized to the American people Tuesday for the bitter fiscal impasse that has shut down parts of the federal government, but he continued to blame Republicans for it." --Hmmm, now we know that Judas 00-bama won't cross any line he's drawn in the sand, and he's drawn one in the aisles of Congress that separates the two parties. 00-bama and the Senate Obamarats are far more obstinate than the House Republicans.
---L-E story: "Columbus Council on Tuesday delayed a decision on raising the costs of employee health insurance, but the two-week delay will likely create a confusing situation for city workers and force them into two open enrollment periods. Facing a projected $2 million shortfall in health care costs, the city has presented a plan that calls for increasing employee premiums and their out-of-pocket expenses." -- Hmmm, it's been less than a year on operating the cost saving in-house clinic, and already a predicted shortfall of about $1,000.00 per employee is predicted. Excuse me Council, especially Mayor Obamalinson, your complaints about the Sheriff's Department budget overruns (because federal health mandates) just bit the dust. Council, heal thyself.
---From the L-E's "Looking back" feature: 50 years ago today, "Former President Dwight D. Eisenhower, speaking out publicly on the matter for the first time, said the Supreme Court’s 1954 decision outlawing public school segregation is “morally and legally correct.” -- Hmmm, Republican Eisenhower agreed, correctly, with our Supreme Court... Democrat Senator Al Gore, Sr disagreed. How about that.
---Bicyclists: "Share the Road, Share the Load"
---Random question: Is there any law that prohibited employees told to leave their work because of the "shutdown" from volunteering to go in and work out of loyalty and dedication to their work's purpose?
---
Now that the new "Benjamin Franklin" has been issued, the Treasury Department should issue a recall for all the old $100.00 bills to be redeemed/swapped out by the end of 2013. Make bills be submitted to FDIC insured banks for redemption. This should flush out illegal drug money and unreported income worldwide.
---L-E headline: -- "Gov't: Most heating bills to rise this winter"-- Dang that "global warming"!
