It's Saturday.. might as well start with a sport's story. Hmmm, Michael
Jordan is dumping his Chicago home (via auction) and retiring/downsizing to
Florida. Yep, his 9 bedroom home in Chicago is just too big since his first
marriages children are now grown, so he's built and 11 bedroom home in Florida.
Of course, some of the Chicagoan influences are sticking with him. His new home
in Florida has a 2-story guardhouse... I guess if any of his Chicago friends try
to find him.

The NFL Players Union has filed a grievance with the New England Patriots
to collect more than $6 Million dollars for (_*_) Hernandez. The Player's Union
says it has to protect the players' "collective bargaining" status. Good
grief... is it really that or is the Player's Union sees that (_*_) Hernandez
"could be me except for the grace of God", and don't want the owners to put
additional morals clauses in the contracts?
---
Online story: "New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie says he disagrees with it, but
he will comply with a state Supreme Court ruling that makes same-sex marriage
legal in the state starting Monday." - It's a shame that politicians will put
'today's trend' and their next election/re-election bid ahead of what's right
long term for this country. Don't blame the court system, either, though you can
blame the individual judges in the system for legislative
activism.

Looks like it'll be the Cardinals versus the winner of the
Tigers-Red Sox series. If the Tigers win, the Detroit-St Louis match-up could
become known as the "Third World" Series.
---
From the "what are they thinking" department - Every year
names of newborns are accumulated and ranked for 'most popular' for boys and
girls. There are always certain standard names, and there are the names of
'popular now' celebrity or the role names celebrities 'play'. Some are nice,
some are fun, but this year, one of the names reflects the racial hatred
attitude of the rise of Judas 00-bama has given us. The 10th most popular boys'
name for 2013 is "Django". "Django"... the character brought to life by
Hollywood who was a prolific and unabashed racist hate-monger in a movie that
has given a rebirth to the 'n-word' and intolerance.

I'm glad to see there will be competition for Mitch
McConnell's seat in the Republican primary. After McConnell's $3 Billion
'earmark' in the bill to end the shutdown, Kentucky needs an opportunity to send
him packing without replacing him with a Hollywood celebrity like Ashley Juggs.
Can't you imagine the "instagram" and "twitter pics" that could come from the
Capitol building?
---
Online story: "Welcome back, school segregation: Across a wide
swath of the American South and West, middle-class families have abandoned the
public school system in such numbers that low-income students now make up a
majority of public school students in 17 states. That's a huge demographic shift over just
a few years, and one with serious public policy and social
ramifications." -- You know, without even looking
into the facts and figures for the specific reasons, I can think of 6 things
that have caused this.. federal programs, political correctness, dismissal of
discipline, social promotions, busing, and elected school boards; none of which
help students learn in the classroom.

In an industry that affects our everyday lives
and economic well being... why are car manufacturers making more diesel fueled
cars? The current bio-diesel fuels can easily be more than 50-cents a gallon
more than regular, and that takes a pretty hefty toll on what could be a
miles-per-gallon asset.
---
Why would anyone not expect the ObamaCare
websites to be a fiaso? What has Judas 00-bama had run smoothly? The bill only
passed because of a super-majority in both chambers of Congress, but only if
they didn't read it before the votes, and who can applaud his handling of
Benghazi, the budget process, or the number of department implosions and
scandals, and don't get me started on Syria. He has an Attorney General who has
become a bigger bigot/racist than former GA Democratic Governor Lester Maddox
ever thought about being, has thrown the race card on the Boston Police, and
George Zimmerman, and has tried to undermined the Constitution and voting
integrity. Once again, why would we ever expect ObamaCare to
work?
---
We understand problems supposedly caused by the
"shutdown", but problems that happened prior to that are indications that we
ought to look into more shutdowns... intentional shutdowns. Look at Florida...
Murderers walking out without guards raising an eyebrow, or government job
reports for earlier months not being ready to publish. These problems existed
when government was "normal". Normal is not good
enough.
---
The snafu with the roll-out of ObamaCare is way
beyond being about a few glitches.. Glitches are correctable with a few
keystrokes... what we have is a debacle.
---
A fellow BCer reminded me of the "great bull
run" scheduled today in Conyers, GA. Is this the normal time for an Obamarat
Convention/Primary?
---
Saxby Chambliss will be leaving the Senate..
but not soon enough. We can thank him for voting "for" on Mitch McConnel's $3
Billion dollar earmark for Kentucky. We also need to remember Johnny Isakson did
also.
---
Three of the Republican Senators that voted for
the Senate bill to give McConnel his $3 Billion dollar earmark really surprised
me.. Ayotte of New Hampshire, Thune of South Dakota, and Portman of Ohio. Maybe
we should, no, we need to look closely and see what they've been
promised...
---
Dr. Ben Carson is coming to town... liberals
are frozen like deer in headlights... a successful, no, a lot more than merely
successful, an inspirational man for any and all to admire and emulate who
doesn't throw the race card, and ignores it when race cards are thrown at him,
and they, these liberals, cannot stand that he speaks the truth about the
government enslaving those in poverty. He offers a path that differs from the
ones liberals try to yoke the impoverished with... Dr. Carson says anyone can be
independent of government, but only if you stop believing that liberals are
"here to help".
---
Interesting note: Though the story of Dr.
Carson's visit to Columbu is on the front page of the printed version of the
Columbus Ledger-Enquirer, the online version is devoid of it as a story (but has
brief mention of it as an "event"), I guess in order to muffle commentary that
contradicts the liberals' concept of "help".
---
What's the latest on "Westville" coming to
Columbus? It was a hot and heavy item of discussion for a while, but now it's
just 'gone away' from the news of the area.

L-E's "Quotable": “Harmony makes small things grow, lack of it
makes great things decay.” - Sallust Roman historian (86-34 B.C.) -- And
mainstream can't, no,
won't see what Judas
00-bama's long range plan is...
---
L-E commentary page
headline: "Now it's time for Obama to lead" -- Huh? 5 years into his mission,
and mainstream media has been holding its breath waiting for him to start
leading.. Hmmm, what mainstream media has seen is that he HAS been leading...
leading mainstream media into being
his biggest victim.
---
L-E headline:
"EUFAULA, ALA. *
MARCH PLANNED AFTER
POLICE SHOOTING" -- You know, there's nothing in the story to indicate what the
situation was, and yet groups are jumping the gun (pun intended) on waiting for
what happened to be fully released. I've read a dozen plus reports, and have
found but one that lists any info other than Cameron Massey was killed by a
bullet in some sort of highway stop by police. The one story that gives any
detail says that Massey was a passenger in a car in which the driver has had an
arrest warrant issued for "Tafficking in Marijuana, in excess of 2,2 pounds and
less than 100 pounds".
