Online story: "We're used to seeing celebrities cross the line of appropriateness on Halloween but it's usually nothing more than an overly skimpy costume. In Julianne Hough's case, good sense was thrown out the window when she decided to go as "Orange Is the New Black" character Crazy Eyes. * Hough, 25, donned blackface for her costume yesterday, which she completed with an orange jumpsuit and Crazy Eyes' signature bantu knots. * (Hough tweeted), I am a huge fan of the show Orange is the New black, actress Uzo Aduba, and the character she has created. It certainly was never my intention to be disrespectful or demeaning to anyone in any way. I realize my costume hurt and offended people and I truly apologize." -- Good grief! Hollywood doesn't apologize for gratuitous nudity, sex, graphic violence nor effusive f-bombs, but she apologized for this out of political correctness?

Keeping up with "the Jones" used to be tough enough for suburbanites, but that was penny ante compared to teens trying to "keep up with the Kardashians".

Online story: " Jay-Z — under increasing pressure to back out of a collaboration with the luxury store Barneys New York after it was accused of racially profiling two black customers — said Saturday he's being unfairly "demonized" for just waiting to hear all of the facts. * He has come under fire for remaining silent as news surfaced this week that two young black people said they were profiled by Barneys after they purchased expensive items from their Manhattan store." -- Jay-Z ... welcome to the world of Dr Benjamin Carter... How quickly the Al Sharptons smell an opportunity to make chaos and money on a situation that hasn't been fully investigated. Barney's has already stated none of its employees were involved, but Sharpton has wrapped himself up in another Tawana Brawley blackmail scam.

Baseball needs an automatic review of a batter hit on one if those elbow guards. First, the guard itself extends "the uniform" out from the player's body by a measurable amount, but more importantly, a player wearing one is emboldened to leave it exposed on an inside pitch. Betran for the Cardinals did that last night in the 7th, got grazed by a pitch and awarded 1st base. Beltran made no effort to avoid being hit, which he must do according to the rules, but if he wasn't wearing the elbow guard, the ball would not have hit him. Beltran scored from first on a double by the next batter.

While giving the Card batter 1st base by a hit-by-pitch call earlier when it was obvious the batter did not try to avoid being hit was a bad call, but the one where the 3rd base ump called 'interference' was horrible! The Cards runner had already attained 3rd base, and when he reacted to the overthrown ball, he moved out of the base path to home and tripped over the Boston 3rd baseman who was lying in the 2nd-to-3rd base path which the Card runner no longer was "protected" from interference relief.

I'm confused... does 00-bamaCare want students yo stay on their parents insurance, or sign up for Medicaid?
---
I remember when Gillette was the big advertiser for most sports, but baseball especially. Watching the World Series, I can see why Gillette doesn't do this much anymore.. looks like most players do not shave anymore.
---
I'm serious... I do not want a car with all these built in electronic 'goodies'. Auto brakes, auto lane guards, auto cruise control, auto tire sensors, even auto door locks when I pull away from the curb. They sound "great" but we know they are going to be maintenance headaches when it' trade in time.

Online headline/story: "Michelle Obama’s Princeton classmate is executive at company that built Obamacare website * Toni Townes-Whitley, Princeton class of ’85, is senior vice president at CGI Federal, which earned the no-bid contract to build the $678 million Obamacare enrollment website at Healthcare.gov. CGI Federal is the U.S. arm of a Canadian company. * Townes-Whitley and her Princeton classmate Michelle Obama are both members of the Association of Black Princeton Alumni." -- Hey... $678 Million wasted here, $678 Million wasted there, and pretty soon we're gonna be talking real money.

Hmmm, another McDonald's hot coffee lawsuit... When will people start being held responsible for their own choices and actions again? Tort reform won't do it by itself.. the court and jury systems need to be reviewed for creating this destructive course of frivolous lawsuits. Hold filing lawyers responsible for costs to defendants when cases are lost or thrown out is a good starting place.

Now we hear of the Insurance Co-ops fueled by 00-bamaCare loans are going belly- up ala green energy companies with 00-bama loans like Solyndra. Just another scandal for Judas 00-bama's legacy.

Online story: "If I were to give her the benefit of the doubt, I'd say that Kathleen Sebelius honestly doesn't know who she works for. Perhaps she incorrectly believes her superior is the President of the United States.* Possibly, she's convinced herself that she works for "the government." It's even conceivable that she's operating under as though she works for the Department of Health and Human Services. * Unfortunately, she clearly doesn't feel that she works for the American taxpayer. * The reporter quickly fired back, "What is your response to people who are calling for you to resign?" * “Well. The majority of people calling for me to resign, I would say, are people who I don’t work for and who do not want this program to work in the first place." -- This is the prevalent attitude of all of Judas 00-bama's Czars. He will be a sad era in American history. To think, he had so much opportunity to move this country forward in so many ways, and has chosen his own path instead.

L-E story: " If the Columbus Consolidated Government does not implement significant administrative changes, it will be forced to make spending cuts that would require layoffs or dipping deeply into its reserves, imperiling its bond rating and likely costing taxpayers more to finance future bond issues, Mayor Teresa Tomlinson told Columbus Councilors in a memo last week." -- Hmmm, so building/buying physical facilities that do not produce revenue to cover operating expenses is "OK" (natatorium, Woodcrest Apartments, Liberty Apartments, dog park to name a few), but employee security is not?
---
The L-E has just rolled over and succumbed to being a watchdog and source of news and open discussion. Political correctness use to be it's main problem, but now the L-E just assumes the state is responsible for child safety and can/should do it. It's the parents that need to be held accountable, but political correctness prevents the necessary actions from being taken, but then again, who wants the state to take the action the state wants to take. How many horror stories have we heard of a state's black-booted storm troopers breaking in on a family and removing a child because some unproven claim was made by a non-expert? How many families have been taken over by a mandatory drug order for the kids to stay in school? Hey, we do not want a police state type government.. I say "we', but unfortunately liberals exist... so does the L-E.
