The decision has been made to seek the death sentence for Bomber Brother 2. It was an terroristic act of war.. We know he did it... why delay executing him by a sham of a time-wasting trial, just drop him out of a helicopter at the start of the next Boston Marathon. When he hits the ground, runners start.

What a heartwarming (dare I say Christian) thing for Chick-fil-A in Birmingham to do.. without charge, without being asked, a Chick-fil-A in B'ham sent its employees out US 280 to take food and drinks to motorists stranded by the icy conditions. Additionally , motorists were welcomed to come into the business to stay warm, sleep, and use "the facilities" . I'm waiting for some mainstream media and the DOJ and White House spinmeisters to find fault in what CFA has done..as being unfair to Islamic terrorists as it makes Christians look good. This is the same Chick-fil-A the mayors of Boston and Chicago said didn’t share their values because the company supports Christian values and traditional marriage.

Online headline/story: "Connecticut Gun Control Law Upheld By Federal Judge * U.S. District Judge Alfred Covello says in his ruling Thursday that the law is constitutional. * The law added more than 100 firearms to the state's assault weapons ban and imposed other restriction. * Covello said the law affects the plaintiffs' Second Amendment rights but is related to the state's interest in public safety and crime control." -- I think that it's about time for the US Supreme Court to issue a ruling that no lower courts can make a ruling on the 2nd Amendment. Even though not elected, this lower federal court judge COVELLO (intentional caps so you'll remember his name if it ever gets tossed into the ring for a SCOTUS pick) has engaged in state politics, and kowtowed to the emotions of his friends and neighbors. Being a non-elected judge is suppose to relieve the judge of the sway of local politics.

American Atheists have a billboard erected across from the SuperBowl with the following message: "A "HAIL MARY" only works in football. Enjoy the Game". The president, David S(_*_)man adds in the press release, "It’s 2014; it’s time to stop believing that prayer works. Give credit where credit is due and celebrate what this is really about—coming together to cheer on hard-working athletes doing what they do best.” -- Mr S(_*_)man.. it's not just about the game... will you have anything left at the end of the game to get you into overtime? My questions to S(_*_)man are: Don't you have something better to spend your money on? Why is it important to you to blast your beliefs to people who know you are wrong? Do you know you can receive grace and mercy in your final huddle?

Online headline: "MSNBC President Phil Griffin Apologizes To Reince Priebus Over Tweet, Fires Employee" -- What about the other MSNBC "twitters"? Griffin should admit his title should really be Chief MSNBC Twit.. and fire himself.
---
Online story: "House Republican leaders laid out their long-awaited immigration reform principles on Thursday to the GOP conference, suggesting a broad step-by-step plan that would include more border security and enforcement, major changes to the legal immigration system and what will likely be the most contentious issue: legal status for some people who are in the country without authorization." -- Hmmm "legal status for some"? That's where the battle becomes another "stupid Republican.... trick". As soon as the Republicans define who the "some" are, mainstream media and the Democrats will paint the Republicans as discriminatory, and the illegal aliens who the Republicans "OK" won't be "illegal enough". The Democrats will use the same play as they have with conservative blacks who have been successful and try to be good role model examples for the black community.... "they" aren't black enough.

Online story: "Through Facebook's decade-long history, one thing has been consistent: You had to use your real name to do anything on the website. But now, Mark Zuckerberg is suggesting that he's willing to loosen the reins on anonymity and let people use Facebook -- in some cases, at least -- without their real names. * The Facebook founder dropped that hint in an interview with Bloomberg Businessweek for his company's 10th anniversary. "I don't know if the balance has swung too far, but I definitely think we're at the point where we don't need to keep on only doing real identity things," Zuckerberg said. "If you're always under the pressure of real identity, I think that is somewhat of a burden." -- "you're always under the pressure of a real identity"? Zucker(_*_) thinks that is personal responsibility is wrong? Hey, Zucker(_*_), you, "zuck"!
---
L-E story: " President Barack Obama is asking major corporations for their help in putting the long-term unemployed back to work. * the Obama administration has been working for months to exact commitments from companies to ensure their hiring practices don't discriminate against long-term job-seekers. * That includes doing away with candidate-screening methods that disqualify applicants based on their current employment status. It also means ensuring that jobs ads don't discourage unemployed workers from applying." -- "doing away with candidate-screening methods"? Wasn't it eliminating candidate-screening" methods that brought down the mortgage/housing market? Hey, that was another Democrats idea (Carter/Clinton laws - Frank& Dodd committee chairs)!
---
From same story: "The White House couldn't say how many unemployed Americans might benefit from the initiative but expected the effects to snowball. * "We consider this not the destination, but the launch," said Gene Sperling, who heads the White House's National Economic Council. "Our hope is that as people see the meeting with the president, the pledge, that more will come work with us." -- Hmmm, wasn't this the "formula" for 00bamaCRAP... summit conference with insurance companies.. fiasco rollout?
---
Guess Judas 00-Barnum's latest fiasco-to-be will soon be called OObamaC.R.U.D.... Can't Retrain Uber Democrats.
---
A few years ago, there was a Roman Temple dating back to 700 BC found. It was under 7 feet of water. Wonder if Algore had an ancestor, perhaps named To-Gore, yelling GORE-bal Warming?
---
Online story: "All the networks were tuned in to watch President Obama deliver the State of the Union on Tuesday, but a lot of their viewers were tuned elsewhere. * The ratings are in, and they're not pretty: the yearly speech got its lowest ratings since 2000. * Obama's highest-rated State of the Union address was in 2009 when he drew 52.4 million viewers * the 2014 State of the Union got 33.3 million viewers *" -- Well, guess his base who watched in 2009 heard the same lies they knew he would be trying to sell in 2014 so they just went out and bought pot somewhere "to help them make it through the night".
---
By this time next year, the annual "State of the Union" will have to have a new name.."My Way or the High Way by the Lie Way"
---
A song from a Christian movie was nominated for an Oscar for Best Song, but the Academy withdrew the nomination. There was a lot of flack about the movie having limited exposure as well as it was Christian based. There were even some complaints about white actors playing the parts of Native Americans. You know, I could live with reality in the entertainment industry. Let's start with the regular Hollywood movies.. let's prohibit straight actors from playing homosexual characters, and gay actors from playing straight parts.
---
Next year, why don't all the movie, TV, and music awards just use "twitter" to make the announcements, and donate the money saved doing so to their favorite food banks.
---
Congressman Henry Waxman, D-CA, is retiring... well, not running for reelection. You know, it doesn't matter who, or from which party, his replacement is,for the first time in 40 years, CA's and America's future will get better representation.
---
When questioned by Ted Cruz as whether he new that a lawyer he assigned to a case was a big Judas 00-Barnum donor, Attorney General Eric Holder said he didn't know about his lawyers private lives. BS-to-the-Nth Degree! Price Holder wouldn't be allowed to hire a lawyer that Judas 00-Barnum hadn't personally approved.
---
Online story: "SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Erica Lukes and other Utah parents were outraged when their children had their deep dish pizzas and other food taken and thrown away at their elementary school after a cashier said they owed money on their lunch accounts. * Lukes said taking the $2 meals from about 30 students was “humiliating and demoralizing. ” The Salt Lake City School District apologized on Thursday and said it was investigating what happened at Uintah (Yoo-IN-tah) Elementary and working to make sure it doesn’t happen again. * The students whose lunches were thrown out were given milk and fruit, a standard practice when students don’t have lunch money. The school is located in a middle-class neighborhood, and the district qualifies for federal reimbursement on lunches when students select certain offerings that are within nutritional guidelines" -- This is not uncommon.. too many school systems advocate/push such in order to get even more children of families that don't want to be on such programs to enroll because the "giverment" pays extra for the more children on the programs. I remember 2 of my children were encouraged/recruited to sign up at CHS when they went there, and there wasn't an income verification check requirement.

Latest from the Democratic Party:
"President Obama is calling on Congress to: Raise the minimum wage * Close the wage gap for women * Fight climate change * renew unemployment insurance * protect Obamacare" -- You know, not one of these pleas will actually help the economy. In fact, most are deterrents, and some are lies. The "gap" has pretty much been closed for years.. women do get better pay for advanced work responsibility... we already have unemployment insurance... Judas 00-Barnum is only out for extending unemployment benefits for an interminable time from what is reasonable * No companies thrive by employing minimum wage employees and look forward to bumping wages.. any employee still earning the minimum wage after 6 months work is probably earning the minimum wage paid.. and the nerve of Judas 00-Barnum trying to perpetuate Algore's plaintive pleas about Global Warming... and what can I add about the validity of OObamaCRAP?
---
After reading new MCSD Superintendent David Lewis's report in the L-E, it's the samo-samo we get from every new superintendent every 3-4 years. Has anybody on the MCSD Board done a plagiarism check for online papers on the subject matter like teachers do for student term papers?
---
Low info voter's L-E "soundoff": " Inpatient mental health room and board covered by insurance is a $50 co-payment per day. That means that extended stay is very expensive." -- You know... $1500 per month ain't a bad rate per person for single person, but since it ain't free, it's too much for Judas 00-Barnum's base.
---
I like "the Fonz", but what exactly does Henry Winkler bring to the table to address a hospital event?
---
Jim Mackay was elected into the Chattahoochee Sorts Hall of Fame .. He's know world wide as Phil Mickelson's caddy, "Bones". Columbus sports fans also know him as the fine golfer he is as well. Congrats "Bones"! Wonder if Judas 00-Barnum will demand Phil give him a "minimum" raise?
---
Wow... Ernie Banks is 83 today. I wasn't sure he was still living, but that's an attestment for his life's story, and should be put in front of the line for young ball players to emulate.
---
L-E headline "(Rosie) O’Donnell to return to visit ‘The View’ Feb. 7" -- Hmmm, I think I'll "scratch" that as a thing-to-watch.

Online headline: "Pelosi To Republicans: 'Take Back Your Party'' -- It's really getting to the Democrats... "change" that is.. Pelosi's statement should be a dash of ice water in the face for McCain and his party element. Pelosi just told them that she likes what they did & thought because it made her job/life easier when they were in Republican control.
---
Remember this: "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds." Guess Judas 00-Barnum's pen and phone was extra busy this week taking care of his union buddies. First he announced he was writing them higher paychecks, then he said he was setting up a new retirement account, and now he must have used his pen to strike out "snow" from working conditions that don't keep the mail from getting through.
---
Hmm, out of curiosity.. will the postal carriers get paid for not delivering the mail?
---
Hmmm, if President Bush had proclaimed he was going to use his pen and phone to bypass Congress, what would then Senator Judas 09-Barnum have said about that?
---
Online story: "A group of Democratic lawmakers is seeking to revive stalled gun control efforts on Capitol Hill, after President Barack Obama pledged in his State of the Union address Tuesday to take action "with or without Congress. * Reps. Alan Lowenthal (Calif.), Mike Thompson (Calif.), and Elizabeth Esty (Conn.) introduced a House resolution Wednesday calling for renewed congressional action to reduce gun violence in the United States." -- Wait a minute .. Democratic Party Congresspersons are encouraging Judas 00-Barnum to override the Constitution if Congress upholds it? These Democrats, and any others who support such course of action, should be arrested on perjury charges, and lying to Congress because they swore an oath to protect the Constitution when they took office. This is the oath Congresspersons are required to give before being seated: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.", and if Judas 00-Barnum's assault on our Constitution doesn't classify him as a "domestic enemy", heaven help us.
---
You know... good leaders talk with their team and talk about things they can accomplish together. Judas 00-Barnum tells us what he wants to do whether anyone else is interested or not.
---
Judas 00-Barnum threw out a slick tidbit Tuesday night... He wants you to open a "My RA" savings account.... Of course he's named it "My RA"... he plans to confiscate it ...
---
Google is about to sell its Motorola cellphone division to Chinese tech giant Lenovo. Recently, IBM sold its personal computer division to Lenovo as well. Hmmm, you have to wonder if the NSA secretly owns controlling interest in Lenovo. Either that, or Lenovo will have the same access to our private lives as NSA.
---
The stock market is sliding based on 'the fed' trimming back on its monthly stimulus purchase of long term bonds. "the fed" says it's doing so because of hints of a recovering economy. I guess Wall Street has figured out that "the fed" is getting that info from Judas 00-Barnum, and who believes anything 00-Barnum says is the truth.
---
CNN said it runs a poll after State of the Union speeches, and "found" that 76% of Americans found Judas 00-Barnum's speech "positive" to some degree. In other 00-Barnum post-SOTU speeches, CNN has '
"found" previous "positive" feeling in 77%, 84%, 78%, and 92%. Just who is CNN polling? In my book, if CNN claims that 3/4ths to 9/10ths of Americans polled are "positive" for what 00-Barnum said/says, then CNN should have contacted me for my opinion in at least 1 or 2 of those polls. Polls conducted by mainstream media are total BS.
---
Online headline: "AP Fact Check PULVERIZES Obama State of the Union" -- Hmmm, obviously CNN did not poll anyone at the AP either.
---
Now it's being reported that the NSA was/is spying on your cellphone each time you open up the Angry Birds" app. Hey, NSA, beam your satellite camera down on me about noon today.. I'm going out for lunch, and right before I get in my car, you can get a real good picture of the "angry bird" I'm giving to you.
---
L-E story: "KENTWOOD, MICH. — Officials say the weight of snow may have caused a partial roof collapse at an industrial building in western Michigan." -- WRONG! It's Michigan... Michigan has lots of snow. Architects know this.. contractors know this. The roof collapsed because either the design or the construction process/materials were wrong. Snow was not the cause... snow happens.
---
Online story: "Usama bin Laden was a freedom fighter and the U.S. is a “neocolonial power,” according to a California state university teacher whose writings are required reading for his political science students. * Emmit Evans, a political science lecturer at the public university Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, requires students in his "World Food Systems" class to read the textbook he co-authored, "The Other World." -- This (_*_) really doesn't deserve his name mentioned, but I want to make sure that if you ever see it, or learn another professor at your alma mater is a fan of his, you have the info to move on getting such (_*_)s out of the education system. This item usually would be "from the only in California department", but when it comes to college news, California is everywhere.
---
Online headline: "IRS customer service leaves millions of calls unanswered" -- Quick.. what's wrong with this image? It's a trick headline.. IRS doesn't have a "customer service" department!
---
Those folks on the Royal Caribbean cruise which had nearly 700+ people sick on board...wonder what they thought is worse: being sick to their stomachs at sea, or having to disembark in New Jersey?
---
You know..why is it so many people get sick when they go to hospitals or cruise ships? Both seem to use an awful lot of sanitizers that we do not do at home. Could that be the reason for staph and MRSA and Legionnaire's disease?
---
Yesterday, Judas 00-Barnum said he was going to sign a "bill" passed by Congress to start "MyRA" savings accounts. Huh? Didn't he just announce he was issuing a personal, Congress by-passing Executive Order to do that the other night?
---
In PA, Judas 00-Barnum said "we're not envious of people making more money than others if they're working hard".... Huh? Then why does he want those people to pay a higher tax rate?
---
You know, Judas 00-Barnum is out to raise the minimum wage because that's the salary range that he knows he can get out to vote for Democrats who offer no incentive for hard working employers to build there businesses and pay their team higher salaries.
---
Speaking of minimum wages... iindustry is not responsible for them.... it's an educational system problem.. Too many graduates are just not equipped to handle increased job responsibilities because they weren't exposed to the right educational tools in school.
---
Atlanta's weather woes baffle me... why weren't the Mayor and Council and various County School Boards on top of the situation? I heard one explain that he thought the worst of the weather was going to happen SOUTH of Atlanta... Good grief,,, did he mentor under Congressman Hank Johnson, (D) who thought the island of Guam would tip over if we congregated to many pieces of military equipment in one location on the island?
---
Low info voter's L-E "soundoff": " Great plan Lewis! However, please address magnet programs. To end this “divide” there should be no total magnet schools. All should have partial magnet programs; otherwise, high achievers will continue to choose one high school." -- He/she walks among us... the purpose of a magnet school/program is to give students from any part of town an opportunity to attend a school where all )or most) students are interested in learning more.. not just attend to while away their time until they can drop out or get a socially proffered diploma.
---
L-E headline: "Obama tries to make place for himself in history books" -- Huh? Judas 00-Barnum already has a place in the history books... worst ever US President!
---
Special interests groups, gays and illegal aliens in particular, are now voicing their anger that Judas 00-Barnum didn't say he was going to 'pen' Executive Orders to "right" what they feel they are "wronged" about. Heh hehe heh.. Hey he got your vote, and he's not running for re-election.. welcome to "real politics world 101".
---
L-E editorial: " A grant of $107,000 isn’t a huge line item in even a tight state budget. But used effectively, this is one that can do a lot of good. The grant will be used to help former offenders in four regions of the state, including southwest Georgia, reenter the work force." -- $26,750.00 per region will not even pay for office space rentals, much less utilities, and for sure, none of the money would reach down to the intended beneficiaries. Contrary to the L-E editorial responder's claim, this is not money well spent.

As I note this for today's blog, it's 5:30 Tuesday afternoon, and snowing some of the largest flakes I've ever seen, but my joy is nothing compared to the joy and excitement my 21 month old Sophia is experiencing as snow is falling for the first time in her life. God knows what He's doing. I'm almost, no, deliriously happy Algore is somewhere else being miserable.
---
WTVM9 headline: "Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus cancels Tuesday performance due to weather" -- Ooops, my bad... thought Judas 00-Barnum staff had found a way to get out of his speaking to the nation about his performance over the past 12 months.
---
Online headline: "Obama vows to flex presidential powers in speech * President Obama vowed Tuesday night to sidestep Congress 'whenever and wherever." -- Some one should have given him a shoe to bang on the podium. Good brief.. to report Judas 00-Barnum's lack of leadership as a positive is something the state run papers of Khrushchev, Castro, Amin, Noriega, Hussein or AhmandineJIHAD did.
---
One of the things Judas 00-Barnum boasts about is that insurance companies cannot charge women more than men. "Sounds" like it may be fair, BUT he can say that because all men and all babies, and all women out of childbearing age are charged for maternity costs.
---
Last night' Judas 00-Barnum speech left the editorial staff of every media source somewhat frustrated. How do you "fact check" someone who didn't give a single fact that already hadn't been exposed as a lie?
---
Judas 00-Barnum is scheduled for an interview with Bill O'Reilly on Super Bowl Sunday. You know, O'Reilly will be the obvious power in charge. That's really sad...almost pathetic.
---
It was 18° in Washington last night, and 25° in Columbus, GA, and Judas 00-Barnum focused on Global Warming. Like Judas's namesake, P.T. Barnum, who summed up the state of his world as "there's a sucker born every minute", Judas 00-Barnum prays hard there are more liberals born every minute.
---
Judas 00-Barnum said he would like to cut corporate taxes to promote business growth. Republicans jumped to their feet quicker than the Democrats which means that there's no way Harry Reid will bring any House bill to the Senate floor.
---
When Judas 00-Barnum mentioned patent reform that promoted innovation rather than litigation, Boehner clapped, while Biden slumped down in his chair. Guess Biden now realizes he want get trial lawyers support in 2016.
---
You know, if any of the successes Judas 00-Barnum recited as his own had actually happened, he would have had creal successes to report rather than talk about what he plans to do.
---
The purpose of the State of the Union speech is to tell Congress what has happened to make America a better place, not relate pipedreams of what he wants to do next year that he hadn't done when he had the chance.
---
The State of the Union speech should be an event that shows the world how strong we are, not a time for an ineffective president to grovel looking for tidbits to throw to his supporters to retain their vote.
---
How did Judas 00-Barnum give an hour long plus state of the union speech without addressing the rollout fiasco and overall security failure of OObamaCRAP?
---
Of real note was the military contingent remaining absolutely silent and motionless when Judas 00-Barnum described his plans for Afghanistan departure. The same group energetically jumped to its feet and vigorously applauded when 00-Barnum mentioned mental health plans for veterans.
---
Judas 00-Barnum did make some sense near the end of speech.. he said sometimes we stumble.. make mistakes. Yes.. I'd say he nailed that assessment, and gave the nation 'hope' that 'change' could happen in November.
---
Judas 00-Barnum proudly proclaimed we are a global leader in solar energy. Of course he didn't qualify that by saying we're the leaders in giving loans to solar companies that go bankrupt before getting a product to market.
---
Obviously, Judas 00-Barnum didn't listen to what I wrote about that I thought was important for him to talk about. Just asked him to listen, then us the truth.. It's not within him.
---
The Republican response missed. Too cutsie, and conflicted in it's message of allowing people to make personal choices, but contrary to the repeated Republican efforts to legislate morals.
---
Online story: "Vermont beekeepers face mite infestations, extreme temperature swings and the possibility of colony collapse. Last fall, a new threat emerged: zombie bees.* John Hafernik, a professor from San Francisco State University, discovered the first zombie bees in 2008 * A fly called Apocephalus borealis attaches itself to the bee and injects its eggs, which grow inside the bee, Hafernik said. Scientists believe it causes neurological damage resulting in erratic, jerky movement and night activity, "like a zombie, * Hafernik said it would be a "game changer" if these flies could hatch from dead bees and complete their life cycle inside the hive, something that most worries Cantrell. * "I think it would be another nail in the coffin for honeybees in the northern hemisphere," Cantrell said. " -- This has to be "THE" liberals' nightmare! A potential animal extinction process they cannot blame on Republicans, especially Bush43.
---
HuffPost headline/story: "What Obama Ignored About The 'Lowest Unemployment Rate In Over 5 Years' * while this statement is "true" -- the jobless rate dropped to 6.7 percent in December -- it's not exactly something to write home about. * That's because a large part of the most recent decline in December was the result of 347,000 people giving up the search for work entirely and dropping out of the labor force. Such a decision helps the unemployment rate look better on paper, since it pushes those people out of the unemployment picture altogether. But in reality, it is not a great sign for the millions struggling to find work." --
Judas 00-Barnum's traveling show might as well pack it up. When even the HuffPost doesn't even bother to try and "spin" his words in a positive manner......
---
Online headline/story: "Investigators work to identify decapitated man in Wyoming * Over the weekend, deputies and specially-trained dogs searched in and around the crime scene to locate the missing body parts." -- Sounds like the victim could be 'handless' as well, making face and fingerprint software useless. The police have published a picture of the victim's belt as it is a distinctive Mexican design. Could it be the drug cartels have already set up shop in marijuana friendly Colorado, and one of them just dumped the body from another cartel over the closest border it could find?
---
Traditionally, a Cabinet member is designated not to attend the State of the Union speech because nearly every other member in the designated line of succession to the presidency is assembled in the House Chamber. That's to insure that there is someone within that succession list is not subject to a disaster should an act of God or terrorism wipe out all attending the SOTU speech. This year, it was Secretary of Energy, Ernest Moniz, a physicist from MIT. Not saying he's not an American citizen by birth, but do you think Judas 00-Barnum bothered to check this out before isolating him to become president if a disaster occurred?
---
Former Detroit Mayor (and current convict) Kwame Kilpatrick's mother, former Democratic Representaive from Michigan, Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick has started a "trust" account to accept 'gifts' to be used in her son's defense and legal expenses. She is "the" trustee. Under the terms of the Trust, the funds raised can be used only for expenses(including attorneys fees and costs) incurred in connection with the legal representation of Kwame Kilpatrick. There is no legal limit on the source or amount of contributions that the Trust can accept. * Contributions to the Trust are not subject to public disclosure. The Trust is not required to file any disclosure reports with any government agency or authority. Does anyone else see the future problems with this? Oh, BTW, it's also officed in Washington, DC.
---
Online story: "Police in a North Carolina town are searching for a man who sprayed a church playground with gunfire, striking four youths and leaving a 12-year-old boy gravely wounded. * The Rev. James Gailliard at Word Tabernacle Church in Rocky Mount said the shooting happened shortly before 6 p.m. Monday, as about two dozen neighborhood teens played basketball on courts behind the sanctuary. * Gailliard was in his office when he heard more than 15 gunshots and ran outside. Among those hit was 12-year-old * Three other young males shot - ages 13, 17 and 19 * It was the latest shooting in a small Southern city dealing with violent crime on a scale typical in more urban areas." -- Hmmm, hey Toto, something tells me we aren't in Mayberry anymore...
---
You know. Judas 00-Barnum deciding to bump the minimum wage on federal contracts has a bigger impact that you can imagine. In reality , few, if any, workers involved in federal contracts are making less than $10.10, but... BUT...those are mostly union situations, and all union wage contracts are tied into the "minimum wage", so in effect, 00-Barnum is giving all the union workers a "ratio" raise. Taxpayers are getting ripped a new one.
---
You know, the Democrat's "War on Poverty" has been waged for 50 years this year..Can any Democrat even point to a skirmish that's been won?
---
Judas 00-Barnum is wondering why "the millenials" aren't signing up for 00bamaCRAP. The MILLENIALS aren't being heard by 00-Barnum, so why should they continue to listen to him?
---
I'm sure GA POWER teams are on ready to answer power outages in Northern states, but are Northern power companies ready to reciprocate?
---
Hmmm... just heard 45 Alabama Power teams in North Alabama are on ready to help Cities/counties in South Alabama with ice probs. Excuse me, but isn't it more likely N. Alabama will need that help?
---
WTVM9 story: "With lethal-injection drugs in short supply and new questions looming about their effectiveness, lawmakers in some death penalty states are considering bringing back relics of a more gruesome past: firing squads, electrocutions and gas chambers." -- Can we get a "Hallelujah"! I suggest they be public, right outside either court rooms or jails, and tailgate parties be organized.
---
L-E's "Today in History" feature: " In 1936, the first inductees of baseball’s Hall of Fame, including Ty Cobb and Babe Ruth, were named in Cooperstown, N.Y." -- I have a bat that Ty Cobb gave to my grandfather in 1906 trying to recruit him to play baseball with him in Detroit. Baseball wasn't a "glamour" occupation in those days so my grandfather chose to go in with his father and run Kirven's Department Store (1876-1993). Though he didn't play baseball with him, my grandfather, who had married an Augusta, GA woman, played golf with him in the early days of Augusta National.
---
L-E story: " HONOLULU — A police officer shot a 17-year-old runaway in the wrist Tuesday morning at a Hawaii high school after the teen cut one officer with a knife and punched two others, authorities said. * One of the officers then fired two shots, hitting the boy once in the wrist 8 The officer who fired is administrative leave during an investigation," -- Good grief.. the officer who shot the knife out of the teen's hand should have gotten a parade and promoted to shooting instructor.
---
L-E editorial commentary: "This would amount to free money, or as close to “free” money as anything provided by taxpayers can ever be. * The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Tuesday that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation will use a $424,000 federal grant to organize DNA samples" -- Democrats use this logic to boast to potential voters that "it's free". It's a shame the L-E editorial responder is supporting such a claim. We hear it from our Mayor and our School Board as well. There's no such thing as "free money" from the federal government.. it started out as tax revenues confiscated by the federal government, and after upwards of 80% being paid to bureaucrats to administer such grant programs, the balance gets dribbled back to other government entities as "free"... but with strings galore attached.
---
L-E headline: "NORTHWESTERN FOOTBALL PLAYERS MAKE EFFORT TO JOIN LABOR UNION * Former Northwestern QB says players need a voice at the table" -- Good grief.. If college players are wanting to be unionized for better conditions and pay, then their scholarships should be reported as income on 1099 forms.

HuffPost headline: "No bold claims at this year's State of the Union" -- Guess Judas 00-Barnum has figured out that even the Democrats aren't going to laugh at his jokes this time around.
---
L-E version of the above headline: "For Obama, address focused on what’s achievable * Editor’s note: Because of the winter storm forecast for this afternoon, the Ledger-Enquirer will have early deadlines tonight to give us more time to deliver Wednesday’s paper. As a result, the President’s State of the Union address, scheduled for 9 p.m., likely won’t be included. Go to ledger-enquirer.com   for a full report or read about it in Thursday’s paper." -- Yeah, Thursday would be about right for the L-E to come up with a ruse to become at peace with it, and rewrite what Judas 00-Barnum actually says.
---
Oh! Don't forget to listen to the Judas 00-Barnum "Recipe for Disaster" tonight.. you need to know what you'll have to correct liberals about tomorrow. True (and unsalvageable) libs will still believe him.
---
Online headline: "Leaders of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) plan to publicly rebuke President Obama over a lack of diversity in his federal judicial picks." -- You know, isn't racism all about believing people of another race aren't capable of doing a job as well as people of your own race?
---
Did you see the beard Jay Carney was growing? I figure he was hoping to look more like "Honest Abe", or he feels a beard will make his nose growth seem normal.
---
Seen Sam Nunn's daughter's campaign slogan? Here's a better one: "Democrat - None for Senate"
---
A friend of mine has gotten his skis and ski poles out of his closet, and relocated them near his front door... just in case we get a little snow down Columbus, GA way today. Sometimes, getting your HOPE up is good for your heart... anyway, it's la lot better than when 00-bama promised to give you HOPE.
---
Online story: "The weddings of 33 couples during the Grammy Awards were legally presided over by Queen Latifah. The rapper-actress-talk show host had to be sworn in as a commissioner by the state of California to perform the ceremony. * Latifah said she's not an ordained minister and her special powers expired at midnight." -- Hmmm, obviously, not unions made 'in Heaven', so I guess we can assume they were 'made in Hollywood hell".
---
You know, I didn't.. in fact, no one in my household watched the Grammy Awards last night, and we didn't even know what was planned. It's just the lack of relevance we have for entertainment award shows any more.
---
Online story: " Oklahoma has no plans to review its lethal injection protocol even though two inmates executed this month complained as the drugs began to flow through their bodies." -- Hope Oklahoma taped the prisoners' reactions and uses those tapes in an ad campaign to thwart other budding criminals from taking a similar course in life. Personally, I think they should inject hydrochloric acid so the 'injectee" will know what hell he has put the victim's family through in killing their loved one... that and for justice for the taxpayers who have footed his legal & boarding expenses for 20 myears worth of appeals.
---
Online story: "Medical school graduates consider getting a stethoscope a rite of passage, but some are saying the device might be on its way out in favor of the hand-held ultrasound. * 'CBS This Morning' reports that the stethoscope is good for listening, but the ultrasound shows an image, which provides a lot more information. * Still, the ability to interpret what those pictures mean could require intensive training, and as WLTX reports, that's not the only downside. The hand-held ultrasound costs thousands, while the stethoscope costs just $25." -- Just the fact that an ultrasound can be billed at "thousands" will encourage medical businesses to get rid of the $25.00 stethoscope. You know, I can remember my old mechanic of the 60s tuning my muscle car engine by putting his ear to a screwdriver touching the valve cover. New fangled electronic tuning devices followed, but no tune-up using those was as ever as good as the ones where the mechanic heard what was happening first hand.
---
Online headline: "Brazilian Advocates Raise A Stink Over Poor Sanitation At Ipanema Beach" -- Hey, it was their own stink and it follows them wherever they go. You'd think they'd eventually 'get a clue'.
---
Online tidbit: "The White House has 35 bathrooms, which means it has 35 toilets -- lots of choices for the first family." -- Hmm guess what this really means is that Michelle Obama's staff each has their own bathroom. That or their's too much s**t being conjured up in the White House.
---
HuffPost headline/story: "Hillary Clinton Reveals The 'Biggest Regret' Of Her Tenure As Secretary Of State * "My biggest regret is what happened in Benghazi," Clinton said during an appearance at the National Automobile Dealers Association convention in New Orleans, La. "It was a terrible tragedy, losing four Americans, two diplomats, and now it's public, so I can say, two CIA operatives" -- Hmmm, bet the rest of the story was what she probably muttered under her breath following that statement, "but in 2016, what difference will it make since my media buddies will jump on Fox for dragging up the past."
---
Online headline: "Darrell Issa, Other Lawmakers Want Obama To Fire James Clapper For 'Lying To Congress' -- Another "stupid Republican.....trick"! Clapper only worked for Judas 00-Barnum.. why should he get fired for what his employer directing him as to what was said. Go for the cure, not just put another band-aid on it.
---
Robo-calls have reached the most annoying state they've ever been in.. the other night, we got calls on our cellphones at 2.07 AM concerning an incident near the CSU campus that had nothing to do with us or CSU for that matter. Last night, we got another robo-call from CSU telling us classes were canceled for tomorrow (today) because of probable weather (as it actually is, the temps did not get as low as anticipated so the frantic reaction is pretty much overreaction).. How do I get out names/numbers out of the CSU phone system?
---
Online headline: "Michelle Obama to host bombing victim at State of the Union" -- Oooops, my bad... thought Michelle was going to be shown standing by her man.
---
Once again... I wonder why homosexuals don't consider being called "gay" as a slur. Aren't they proud of their real life?
---
L-E headline: "Biofuels industry gathers for annual summit" -- Hmmm, not since the 2012 DNC Convention have as much hot air and gas assembled in one spot.
---
Judas 00-Barnum says he will sidestep Article 1 of our Constitution which spells out that appropriations shall be initiated by Congress. That's what dictators in Cuba, Venezuela et al do.
---
L-E story: "The White House says President Barack Obama will sign an executive order setting the minimum wage for workers under new federal contracts at $10.10 an hour. The president will announce the increase in his State of the Union address." -- You know... this must be what Judas 00-Barnum meant when he said "I have a pen and a phone". How can one person, whether he's the president or any other tax paid employee, legally circumvent the existing, and currently prevailing, federal law on minimum wage for federal contracts passed and authorized by the elected Congress?
---
L-E story: "The CEO of General Motors and another Detroit businesswoman will join first lady Michelle Obama to watch President Barack Obama deliver his State of the Union address. * Mary Barra is the first female CEO of a major automaker. She took over the company this month and was invited to the Tuesday night address." -- Hmmm, a month on the job and getting highlighted... sounds suspiciously what the Nobel Peace Prize committee did to Judas 00-Barnum.
---
Lenovo...(Chinese tech Co) just bought IBM's personal computer business and is now the #3 computer maker in the world. Know what that means? Well, it means the Chinese don't have to hack into NSA anymore to find out what Americans are saying to each other.
---
Democrats seem to have a real problem with with wheelchair bound people. Remember when Bleep Veep Biden asked a fellow Democrat State Senator from Missouri to "stand up". Now Texas State Senator/Gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis has berated her wheelbound opponent for not having "walked a mile in her shoes", and wants liberal Texans to "STAND" up with her.
---
My bride made another astute observation last night. Those UFC fights/ads... two people in a cage trying to beat up each other looking more like caged pit bulls in a fight to the death. She's right... It's no different from dog or cock fighting.
---
Ted Cruz says Judas 00-Barnum should look directly at the camera and apologize to America... Ain't gonna happen... Judas 00-bama has never looked directly into the camera and said anything to the American people. He "ping-pongs" back and forth between his TelePrompters.
---
The Republican rally call on OObamaCRAP should be, "Democrats were for OObamaCRAP before they were against it, but we voted against it because they wouldn't let us read it because the Democrats did all the writing."
---
L-E headline: "Police charged a 27-year-old man with unlawful conduct during a 911 call after the man claimed that someone had murdered him inside the Veterans Parkway Starship, according to a Columbus Police report." -- I wanna know why 911 sent someone to respond? Couldn't the operator figure out the caller wasn't actually dead?
---
Catheters... Less than great advertising to blare into your living room! You know, a personal product that presents it's best attribute is that it "hurts less" than other products is not something I want to know about until I have to be looking for a solution because the product I'm using exceeds my pain threshold.
---
L-E story: "According to a one-paragraph letter filed late last week with U.S. District Court, Middle District of Georgia, a California title insurance company has “resolved” its lawsuit against Columbus Bank & Trust stemming from the 2010 issues with attorney Michael Eddings’ trust account. * There were no additional details available * Eddings, who is still practicing law in Columbus, was a prominent real estate closing attorney. He faces a Georgia Bar disciplinary hearing later this month." -- Why wasn't the Georgia Bar the first to act on this! Letting a lawyer practice after he's been caught with his hand in the cookie jar is like offering him another jar to grab more cookies from.
---
Online story: "The California Supreme Court denied a law license on Monday to a former journalist who was caught fabricating stories for major national magazines. * The court ruled that Stephen Glass had insufficiently rehabilitated himself in the years since his misdeeds. * "Many of his efforts from the time of his exposure in 1998 until the 2010 hearing, however, seem to have been directed primarily at advancing his own well-being rather than returning something to the community," the court wrote in the unsigned ruling." -- How come California gets this but our Georgia Bar Association doesn't?
---
Online story: "Florida Rep. Trey Radel, a first-term Republican congressman who was convicted on cocaine possession charges, will resign from Congress on Monday. * "While I have dealt with those issues on a personal level, it is my belief that professionally I cannot fully and effectively serve as a United States Representative to the place I love and call home, Southwest Florida," the congressman wrote in a letter to House Speaker John Boehner." -- You know, how come Democrats don't love America as much.. Name me a Democrat who has ever resigned for disappointing the electorate... hmmm, maybe it's because liberals don't care about the criminal or immoral activities their Representatives are involved in. Hey, Menedez... take a hike!
---
Online story: "WESTMINSTER, Colo. (Reuters) - A 16-year-old student set himself on fire in the cafeteria of a high school in a Denver suburb on Monday in front of horrified classmates in what police said was an apparent suicide attempt." -- Hmmm, maybe his clothes were made from hemp... bad joke, but what do we expect when Colorado is in the news?
---
Online headline: "Obama Loses No-Confidence Vote" -- Hmmm... sorta backasswards...what Judas 00-Barnum lost was a "confidence vote".
---
We had fun yesterday. My bride donned her "Mrs. Manners" personna and delighted (and engaged) four 1st grade classes at a local school on meal manners and how to set a place setting . They soaked it up. One thing bothered me, though. In one room, I spotted a bit of indoctrination propanda. It was posted that Americans "produced" enough trash to go around the earth 24 times in 2009. I thought..."produced trash". We don't produce "trash" (unless you count most Hollywood movies)...trash is the residue left over after we have consumed all we want of a product someone else has offered for sale. No mention was made of the industries producing desirable products.. Schools need to focus on what Americans do RIGHT, as well.
---
Security....specifically the security at the Olympics I'm Russia...Aren't the Russians the most experienced specialist in "security" ? Didn't the Russians warn us about the "Boston Bomber Brothers"? Then why are the people who brought us the security at the Boston Marathon wanting to claim Russia can't handle it?

Two minutes of the All-Pro game was all I could take. I tried my best to adjust the color of my TV but there was nothing I could do to make those uniforms less ugly.

Online headline/story: "More teens waiting to get their driver’s license, studies show * A growing number of teenagers are waiting a considerable time to get their driver’s license after becoming eligible – a trend experts attribute to an array of societal and economic shifts ranging from the diminishing role of the automobile in the American psyche to the cost of gasoline. * It looks like teens just can't afford to drive," Matt Moore said in announcing the results of a Highway Loss Data Institute study in October that reaffirmed the trend’s existence by examining vehicle insurance data * But other experts peg the decline to less obvious factors, like demographic shifts from suburbia to urban areas, which typically have more mass transit options that diminish the need for a car * “Young folks would rather spend their money on an iPhone than a car," Prof. Bruce Stephenson, director of the Planning in Civic Urbanism masters program at Rollins College told the Sentinel. "The car is not the status symbol it once was. It's just not a high priority." * Meanwhile, Glenn Victor, a director at the Florida Safety Council in Orlando, told the Sentinel he blamed the trend on years of frightening ads and teaching about the dangers of drunken driving." -- Huh? " mass transit options that diminish the need for a car".. "The car is not the status symbol it once was"? .. Huh? "Meanwhile, Glenn Victor, a director at the Florida Safety Council in Orlando, told the Sentinel he blamed the trend on years of frightening ads and teaching about the dangers of drunken driving"? -- You know... ain't but three reasons why teen driver's license figure are down.. one is parents can't go out and buy a reliable 5 or 6 year old vehicle far a beginner "set of wheels" for under $1,000.00. The second is the cost of adding a 16 year old to the family insurance bill, and the third is that teens have to complete a commercial driver's school/education program to get a license before they're 18. And to think, people in government, people we are paying salaries for, have to dream up some excuse to blame this otherwise so they can make it appear their jobs are justified. The lamest "excuse" is the Florida Safety Council Director's... "frightening ads and teaching about the dangers of drunken driving"! Name me one teen you know that even listens to advice like that from a parent, much less a government PSA>

Online headline/story: "HSBC (multinational British bank) imposes restrictions on large cash withdrawals * Stephen Cotton went to his local HSBC branch this month to withdraw £7,000 from his instant access savings account to pay back a loan from his mother. * When we presented them with the withdrawal slip, they declined to give us the money because we could not provide them with a satisfactory explanation for what the money was for. They wanted a letter from the person involved." * Mr Cotton says the staff refused to tell him how much he could have: "So I wrote out a few slips. I said, 'Can I have £5,000?' They said no. I said, 'Can I have £4,000?' They said no. And then I wrote one out for £3,000 and they said, 'OK, we'll give you that.' * He asked if he could return later that day to withdraw another £3,000, but he was told he could not do the same thing twice in one day. * As this was not a change to the Terms and Conditions of your bank account we had no need to pre-notify customers of the change” * He wrote to complain to HSBC about the new rules and also that he had not been informed of any change. *The bank said it did not have to tell him. "As this was not a change to the Terms and Conditions of your bank account, we had no need to pre-notify customers of the change," HSBC wrote." -- What is this? How can a banks in a "free country" demand you provide them with answers satisfactory to it before they will allow you access to YOUR money? Who trained theses guys... our IRS?

It's somewhat ironic that the upcoming Olympics are in Sochi. The option Judas 00-Barnum tried to sell the IOC on was to have them in So. Chi-town. Guess the IOC felt there was less danger of al Qaida in Sochi than street gangs in So. Chi-town.
---
Low info voter's L-E "soundoff": "If you think Fox News tells both sides of the story, you are truly delusional. Fox News has never told anything other than the right-wing slant since its inception." -- Hmmm...Guess it's a Democrat thing... to have to parse the definition of words that mean something else to most lucid people... the truth is the truth in normal society.
---
From L-E's "Today in History": "On this date: In 1880, Thomas Edison received a patent for his electric incandescent lamp." -- Hmmm, did you know one of his original bulbs is still working in Julerburg, CA? Do you think he will rollover in his grave when it finally burns out and it's replaced with a CFL bulb made in China?
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “Who never doubted, never half believed. Where doubt is, there truth is — it is her shadow.” — Gamaliel Bailey, American abolitionist (1807-1859)." -- Hmmm...I believe it... haven't we all doubted whether Judas 00-Barnum has ever told the truth.... hasn't the truth been found?
---
Judas 00-Barnum is playing it a little safer giving his State of the Union speech this year. Last year he gave it on Honest Abe's birthday, so he's going to avoid any proximity to getting any closer to doing one on George "I cannot tell a lie" Washington's birthday.
---
L-E headline: "White House warns Obama will go around Congress if necessary" -- How ironic.. The L-E, and I'm sure many other liberal sources are smugly smirking at Judas 00-Barnum's arrogance, but what these bastions of liberalness don't realize is that 00-Barnum's skirting of the Constitutional powers granted Congress, means he wouldn't have a problem skirting the 1st Amendmendent as well, and the L-E couldn't operate without that guaranteed protection.
---
Haven't said much about Wendy Davis info that's coming to light as it appears that there's a lot more under the surface. Shoot, she may become a bigger liar than Hillary!

Like children headed home with their report cards, the nations of the globe recentlyreceived grades on the educational achievement of their students via the test known as the Programme for International Student Assessment, or PISA. Reactions ranged from celebration to resignation to recrimination, depending upon the results. * In the United States, France and Great Britain, educators and political leaders bemoaned another disappointing showing * They looked to East Asia and Eastern Europe and sought to understand how poorer countries in these regions could achieve so much more with fewer resources." -- Hmmm, sounds like the liberals have been "outed" by their "alternative Life AND School style"... "Buried Under Neo-socialist Garbage and Liberal Excrement", or BUNGLE.

---
Rumor has it that Judas 00-Barnum has an educational overhaul he's going to announce in his upcoming "Stagmentation of the State" speech... It's called, "B.U.F.F.ET.".. Beefing Up Fast Food Employee Training.

---
The student loan impact has reached $1.2 TRILLION.. That's considerably more than their parents credit card debts! Still, the Democrats are out pushing even more student loans at lower interest rates. Sadly, students will still not understand the pitfalls of taking non-collateralized loans against non-guaranteed result diplomas. In addition, schools will increase teacher pay, thus tuition, so even though students can get lower interest loans, the loans will be a much higher amount for the students to pay off after graduation.

---
Online story: The U.S. Olympic Committee told American athletes that wearing their team colors at the 2014 Winter Games may make them a target in Sochi, according to multiple reports. * "The U.S. Department of State has advised that wearing conspicuous Team USA clothing in non-accredited areas may put your personal safety at greater risk," the committee said to U.S. athletes in a memo, which was reviewed by The Wall Street Journal." -- "conspicuous Team USA clothing"? Maybe Ralph Lauren should be replaced as the designer.. besides, I doubt he's a happy camper knowing what the USOC thinks of his work.
---
Online story: "The Supreme Court on Friday offered a short-term compromise that would continue to exempt a group of Denver nuns that operates charity nursing homes from the birth control mandate of the nation's health care law if they declare their objections in writing. * The justices asked the nuns to write the Department of Health and Human Services declaring themselves a religious nonprofit organization and making their objection to birth control. In return, the high court would continue to block for them the contraceptive coverage requirement of the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, while their appeal is heard in the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. " -- Hmm, this maybe the salvation we need to send OObamaCRAP to the dump.. For-profit companies should reorganized as non-profits as making a profit will be nigh improbable with the OObamaCRAP insurance program forced on them.
---
Online headline: "Syrian Electronic Army Hacks CNN's Social Media" -- "hacks"? Based on the re;lationship CNN had with Saddam Hussein, the Syrians are "family" and invited guests on CNN's Social Media homepage.
---
There was a shooting at a Maryland Mall. One of our fellow BCer's made this observation: "FOX "news" stated the gun man was found heavily "armed" with a shotgun and ammo. FOX news has no idea what heavily armed is. Otherwise every dove hunter would be considered "heavily armed". Stop giving liberals "ammo". Otherwise they will start coming after out shotguns and 7.5 dove load. Oh wait. They already are." -- Of course, I think Fox should blame Bleep Veep Biden for suggesting "shotguns" vs semi-automatic guns for personal protection.
---
Online story: " The dueling faces of a conflicted political party were on display for all to see at the just-concluded Republican National Committee meeting." -- "conflicted"? How about anal-retentive... The Republican Party just needs to promise to stop beating up on individual moral choices. The Republican Party just needs to acknowledge God will handle all morals situations with everyone on a one-on-one basis. How simple is that?
---
Online story: "The family of an Ohio inmate executed last week is suing the state and a drug company, claiming Dennis McGuire was a victim of "cruel and unusual punishment" when he appeared to "writhe in pain" during an almost half-hour ordeal. * The suit targets state prison officials, the execution team and Hospira, the Illinois-based company that manufactured the drugs used in the lethal injection given to McGuire on Jan. 16, The Columbus Dispatch reports. * Dayton (_*_)ttorney Jon Paul Rion argues that the execution violated the Eighth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution -- cruel and unusual punishment -- and the 14th Amendment right to due process." -- Hmmm, now the rest of the story: "McGuire, 53, was convicted in the 1989 murder of Joy Stewart, 22, who was 30 weeks' pregnant at the time of her death" - You know, "we" have paid room&board for the convicted murderer for 25 years.. what was "cruel and unusual punishment" was what the victims's parents/grandparents had to endure until now. I hope the families of the victims file a counter suit against the family of the murderer for damages and mental anguish of their son's crime just incase some liberal-laced jury finds for the murder's family.
---
Hmmm,... saw a chandelier that uses small shades that clip onto the candle-flame shaped incandescent bulbs the other day. Question: How are you going to clip those shades onto Compact fluorescent bulbs?
---
Income equality.. you would think Judas 00-Barnum had stats from his first 5 years would show the income gap getting less than it was before he took office. Fact is, $2.8 TRILLION has been spent on poverty ending programs in his 5 years in office, and it's escalating wider than ever before.
---
Have you seen the ad for MicroTouch raxors? If you're under 40, you might think these are the next step in shaving evolution. Truth is, we've been there, and have the nick scars from what was once called "the safety razor".
---
Online story (with fellow BCer assist): "After nearly a year of stalling by the Obama administration, Judicial Watch has obtained the vacation travel records for the Obamas’ and Vice President Joe Biden’s 2013 President’s Day weekend excursions and Michelle Obama’s 2011 South African trip. * President Obama spent President’s Day weekend, Feb. 15-18, golfing in West Palm Beach, Fla., while the first lady and the girls enjoyed a ski trip to Aspen, Colorado, as did Biden. * Transportation and lodging costs for the president’s trip totaled $98,135.79. This includes $32,406.50 for the flights, $16,466.25 for rental cars, and $48,490 for hotel rooms. * The vacation costs for first lady Michelle Obama totaled $81,523.64, including $13,221.30 in flights, $3,925 in rental cars, and $64,377.34 in lodging. * The expenses for Vice President Biden’s weekend in Aspen totaled $115,777.61, including $5,315 in flights, $92,596 in accommodations, and $17,866.61 in rental cars * The second group of documents (just) obtained by Judicial Watch indicate that taxpayers paid more than $1,000,000 for Michelle Obama’s 2011 “safari” trip to South Africa and Botswana." -- Recession? What recession?
---
L-E story: "The Muscogee County School District no longer should view Columbus through the racially and economically divisive lens of the north-south divide, said Superintendent David Lewis.
Instead, he proposed to the school board during Saturday’s retreat that the administration should serve the schools through three zones — west, central and east" -- Well, we now have confirmation Lewis is the liberal we suspected. Now that the socio-economic situations have been addressed, all will be different.. He thinks he's the right person for a change. Grab your ankles!
---
From above story: " Superintendent Lewis said, “Too many school systems put something in place, abandon it, try something else and abandon it,” he said. “You’ve wasted resources, time, energy and you’ve lost the trust and confidence in the people who are just tired of the next new thing." -- Hmm... what a perfect example of how we select new Superintendents... They come in; abandon the old programs, initiate their new programs, leave/retire, and a new one comes in, abandons the old programs; initiates new programs. Dang, our MCSD has a better recycling plan than the City of Columbus!
---
Have you seen the 'yellow-dog' mailing that's trying to paint Sen. Josh McCoon as a liberal? Don't believe it for a second.. The lack of identifying itself on the mailer really does a better job identifying the organization than just naming itself. Obviously, it's a dog, and it's about as yellow as it can be.
--
L-E story: " Trikella Nelson doesn’t like labeling students as homeless. * She prefers to describe their lack of housing as a temporary situation they can overcome. * Nelson is responsible for 954 students who are currently experiencing homelessness. She is also director of guidance services in the school district’s social work department. As the homeless liaison, she has an outreach specialist and case worker on staff to help serve homeless students." -- You know... this is only a small problem compared to the School System believing it is the parent unit of other 31-32,000 students.
---
Low... very low, info voter's L-E "soundoff": " I understand the strain the city of Columbus is putting on its employees with higher rates on insurance. Universal health care was and is the solution." -- Yeah.. but only because it's free.... in the low info voter's mind.. because the Democrats have promised him/her that.
---
I do support Habitat for Humanity, but is a 1,100 sq ft home built primarily by volunteers using very basic materials and designs really worth $72,000? I'm glad that the homes built are not being given away, and payrolls are being met for the H4H staff,.. but..
---
Texas is dropping Algebra-II. It's not necessarily a course everyone needs, but everyone who wants to get ahead in life needs it. Bah humbug, Texas!
---
L-E's "Quotable": “The only way to enjoy anything in this life is to earn it first.” Ginger Rogers American dancer and actress (1911-1995)" -- Well, another gem that will never adorn the tiara of the Education System.
---
Excuse me, but reading about a climb of Mt Kilimanjaro as a fund raiser for an ALS patient sorta conflicts me. My bride and I have had a close relationship with ALS for the past 10 years, She served on the Board of the ALSA of GA for nearly 5 years, and we have organized or sponsored ALSA of GA support groups when ALSA of GA came to Columbus. My bride even organized ALS fundraising marches here. Fundraising expenses came from volunteer businesses in the area, and personal contributions. I somehow can't believe that ALS research gets the most bang for it's donated dollar when someone finances the expense of a foreign mountain climbing event from funds donated for ending this dastard of a disease.

Online headline: "Kanye West calls himself an 'astronaut' -- Hmmm, well I don't know about being an "as-tro-naut", but I think the first syllable is a pretty accurate description no one will argue with.

---
Online story: The Human Rights Campaign, the nation's largest gay rights group, did some digging and found that President Barack Obama has used "gay" 272 times since taking office in 2009, far more than any of his recent predecessors: Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. * Only Clinton comes closest to Obama, having used "gay" 216 times during his two terms, says a new report from the advocacy group. * Neither George H.W. Bush nor Reagan used "gay" in any of their presidential remarks." -- You know, the only questions I have is when was the word "gay" first used as a slur word for homosexuals, and why the homosexual world doesn't criticize people for using the "g-word"?
---
Online story: "WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (AP) — A suburban New York police chief who taught sex-abuse awareness classes to children has been charged with downloading child pornography." -- Hmmm, Guess he's OK in Governor Cuomo's opinion since he's not a conservative.
---
Online headline: "Gmail Went Down And Everyone Panicked" -- Hmmm, did anybody see what the NSA was up to at the time?
---
Online story: "LOS ANGELES (AP) — A decade after landing on Mars, the rover Opportunity is still chugging along. * Sure, it has some wear and tear. One of its six wheels and two instruments stopped working long ago. It has an arthritic joint. Its flash memory occasionally suffers a senior moment." -- Wow.. 10 years ago, Bush launched this, and though a little bit worse for wear, it's still functioning... Hmmm .. OObamaCRAP crashed on day 1...wonder what OObamaCRAP will be like in 10 years?
---
L-E story: "NEW ROADS, LA. — The City Council has approved a five-year contract with Republic Services for residential trash pickup that is expected to cut monthly fees for the city's 1,800 customers by 50 cents. * As part of the deal for twice-a-week collection, which was approved this past week, New Roads residents will have recycling service available and receive 95-gallon trash bins at no additional charge." -- Hmmm.. another city with twice-a-week garbage pick-up... I recall Mayor Obamalinson's campaign to end such locally has been based on Columbus is about the only city still doing such. Now we have a city that does such AND saves the taxpayers 50-cents a month, about what Mayor Obamalinson says the city would only save per month by eliminating the second pickup.

Online story: "STOCKHOLM, Jan 24 (Reuters) - Newly crowned Norwegian world chess champion Magnus Carlsen took just nine moves to checkmate Bill Gates in a speed game to be aired later on Friday." -- Hmmm, just nine moves... that's probably about right.. but I think I could get Gates to "crash" in 8 or less keystokes... that's about par for a Windows app
---
Online headline: "Obama backpedals on marijuana" -- Hmmm... I guess Judas 00-Barnum realizes that if marijuana gets fully legalized, thus decriminalized, then there is no reason for his past marijuana related arrests to be kept sealed by some judge...
---
Online headline: "MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell Had To Interrupt An NSA Discussion With Breaking Bieber News" -- Hmm.. Judas 00-Barnum affects Chris Matthews, but I guess we now know what makes tingles run up Andrea Mitchell's leg...
---
Online news: "A prosecutor who helped put an upstate New York gym teacher behind bars for molesting an 8-year-old boy said he was stunned by the lack of cooperation he got from the Matthew LoMaglio's colleagues, 22 of whom wrote letters to the judge supporting him. * the process of bringing him to justice for the crimes was complicated by the victim's fear and the unwillingness of other teachers at Rochester School 19 to cooperate with the investigation" -- In a word... union. You know, belonging to something should make you proud...
---
It's bad enough that even with conscious efforts to make computers and cellphones "secure", there are areas of our lives that are far more unsecured to the threats of hackers, and predators. Little security is built into your SmartTV's or SmartAppliances. Buy such carefully.
---
Online headline: "Boehner Likes His Wine And Cigarettes Too Much To Be President Of The United States" -- You know, mainstream media would make Boehner's hibits an issue, yet avoid such about Judas 00-Barnum's preference for craft beer brewed within the White House, and his preference for marijuana. Come to think of it, I'm curious, also, at how 00-Barnum smokes anything on the White House grounds.. smoking is banned on federal properties maintained by the National Parks department.
---
Online headline: "U.S. Military Dress Code To Now Allow Muslim Friendly Beards And Turbans" -- Excuse me, but does anyone in the Judas 00-Barnum administration, mainstream media for that matter, know the definition of "uniform"? It's called an "uniform" BECAUSE thet are suppose to look alike for identifying a group! Good grief, before long the military will have separate fitness standards for different groups... Oooops, it's already happened.
---
Online story: "TOPEKA, Kan. - A man who provided sperm to a lesbian couple in response to an online ad is the father of a child born to one of the women and must pay child support, a Kansas judge ruled Wednesday. * Topeka resident William Marotta had argued that he had waived his parental rights and didn't intend to be a father. Shawnee County District Court Judge Mary Mattivi rejected that claim, saying the parties didn't involve a licensed physician in the artificial insemination process and thus Marotta didn't qualify as a sperm donor * The Kansas Department for Children and Families filed the case in October 2012 seeking to have Marotta declared the father of a child born to Jennifer Schreiner in 2009. The state was seeking to have Marotta declared the child's father so he can be held responsible for about $6,000 in public assistance the state provided, as well as future child support." -- You know.. the solution is for Kansas to remove the child from the tending parent and let a married couple adopt said child... win-win for every responsible entity.
---
Online story: "North Carolina-based Civitas Media, a national newspaper chain with nearly 100 publications and 1.6 million readers is considering building “state-by-state databases” on concealed weapons permit holders, according to an internal e-mail." -- You know, the NRA and other gunowner's rights groups should acquire the names, photos, and addresses of all the principals of Civitas Media, and run a campaign to advertise who they are, where they live, and that they don't have guns for personal protection. I imagine there's a whole element of criminals who would love to have that info.
---
Following Benghazi, Hillary announced all to quickly that she was "too tired" to go on air on the Sunday talk shows that weekend. Hmmm, doesn't that sorta undermine her claim of whether she should be the one most qualified to answer "that 3:00 AM phone call"?
---
Latest from www.barackobama/organizingforaction.com - Hmm got a one question survey from Judas 00-Barnum's spinmeister asking "what would you like to hear in 00-Barnum's State of the Union" speech... I responded, "I would like to hear him say he was listening to me and would tell me the truth about matters in the future". I got a "thank you for your support" back. Just proves no one in his administration is listening to any one, and he doesn't know what the truth is.

Hmmm... "Ultimate Dodgeball"...great man-cave sport entertainment on Fox Sport South. Check it out!

Online story: "An increasing number of electric-vehicle driving employees at Silicon Valley companies are finding it hard to access car-charging stations at work, creating incidents of "charge rage" among drivers. * Peter Graf, chief sustainability officer for German software company SAP, says the company's 16 charging stations are now not nearly enough for the 61 employees who drive electric vehicles. * Graf says cars are getting unplugged while charging, creating animosity between employees." -- Guess the "nimby" (for any libs reading, "nimby" means "not in my back yard") effect has taken place in California workplaces...
---
Latest from Sanford Bishop: "As many of you know, in September of 2013 I was diagnosed with cancer in my neck and throat. After an intensive regimen of chemotherapy and subsequent surgery, I am now cancer free with no need for further treatment! To God be the glory!" -- Hmmm, the Democrats don't want God in our schools, but pretty well demand He be with them in the hospital.....
---
More from Sanford Bishop: "Fifty years ago, President Lyndon B. Johnson called on our nation to launch an ‘unconditional war on poverty.’ Today, we must continue to fight the war on poverty—and we must win! -- 50 years... How can any sane voter.. American citizen or not, listen to this plea with any expectation that Democrats have the answer?
---
Online story: "Attorney General Eric Holder says the Obama administration is planning to roll out regulations soon that would allow banks to do business with legal marijuana sellers. * During an appearance Thursday at the University of Virginia, Holder said it is important from a law enforcement perspective to enable places that sell marijuana to have access to the banking system so they don't have large amounts of cash lying around.
* Currently, processing money from marijuana sales puts federally insured banks at risk of drug racketeering charges. * Because of the threat of criminal prosecution, financial institutions often refuse to let marijuana-related businesses open accounts." -- Hmmm.. I guess the toaster will become extint.. now when you open an account, some teller will ask if you'd like a 'free reefer' with that..
---
Online headline: "NASA launches newest communication satellite" -- Hmmm, NASA or NSA? Guess Hillary and Judas 00-Barnum are asking, "What difference does it make?"
---
Judas 00-Barnum is pointing his finger again, but still doesn't bother to look at the mirror to face his #1 problem..himself. He's blaming conservative media for making him look like a caricature. Sorry, Judas 00-Barnum, even the best caricature artist can only work with your real image when creating a caricature portrait of you. That's your nose, not Pinocchio's.

You know, since we are requested not to smile when getting our driver's licenses , and I'm pretty sure not many people smile for mug shots, I feel pretty confident that we could thwart facial recognition software if we simply smile when we get near to security cameras.

I tell you what, if new Superintendent David Lewis does nothing else for this community, I do like that he's having the MCSD Board retreat at a Columbus hotel rather than at one out-of-town. Both options are pretty much a waste of tax dollars, but at least those tax dollars will be circulated here in Columbus rather than elsewhere.
---
Slightly miscalculated L-E "soundoff": " Arm students on campus … are you crazy? I would have shot at least three liberal professors had I been bearing arms." -- Correction,, none would have to be shot... as soon as liberal professors saw guns on the front row of their classrooms, the lesson plan would change.
---
From the "why is it" department - L-E story: " A Phenix City man died Friday after he suffered cardiac arrest while driving on J.R. Allen Parkway at Gateway Road. * Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan identified the man as John L. Johnson, 56. * He was pronounced dead of natural causes at the scene at 5:30 p.m. No autopsy will be performed in his death." -- "no autopsy will be performed"? Why is it that when street thugs blown away with guns shots get sent to Atlanta for autopsies, but when a non-physician-attended person dies of a presumed heart attack, the coroner takes it at face value? Could it not have been a caustic interaction of prescription drugs?
---
How about these cold snaps! Guess it's God's way to let Algore know that man is not in charge of the weather or the environment.

HuffPost headline:"US Senator From New Jersey Reportedly Under FBI Investigation" -- Hmmm - If it was a Republican Senator, name and rank would have been the headline..now, the rest of the story : "Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) is the subject of a federal criminal investigation for his dealings with two Florida businessmen who are fugitives from Ecuador * the Justice Department is investigating the senator's ties to William and Roberto Isaias, the brothers who ran Ecuador's largest bank, and were convicted of embezzling more than $660 million during Ecuador's banking crisis in 1999. The brothers now live in Coral Gables, Fla. * he brothers turned to the New Jersey senator, who chairs the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, for help in seeking permanent residence in the U.S. * Federal election records show relatives of the Isaias brothers who are residents donated more than $10,000 to the senator's 2012 campaign. And those records show Roberto Isaias' family members also donated at least $100,000 to the Democratic Party in 2012. * Ecuador has repeatedly asked the United States to extradite the Isaias brothers, to no avail. When Vice President Joe Biden called Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa to ask him to deny an asylum plea from National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden, Correa brought up the Isaias brothers' case. * "[Biden] told me that Mr. Snowden was a fugitive of American justice and didn’t have a passport,” Correa said, according to a report in El Telegrafo newspaper. "I told him, ‘Well, the Isaiases are fugitives of Ecuadorian justice and they also don't have passports and you won’t extradite them.' -- Hmmm, you know, this looks like it should have been handles by the Secretary of State.. Hey, mainstream media, will this make a difference whether you ask Hillary?
---
From the "this proves my point" department concerning the above story - Online headline: "Feds subpoena NJ Gov. Christie's campaign, GOP" -- A federal investigation ..same state as Menedez, but a different party.
---
Sopbox moment: How would decriminalizing drugs actually the "little guy", the "end user"? Talk of fines versus jail time would be worse for communities as fining someone would basically mean the user would have to find a way to feed the court system AND his/her daily use of drugs. Basically, crime would double. Individual drug use is not a "victimless crime".
---
Online story: "In a new interview with Al Jazeera America, New York Times editor Jill Abramson called the Obama administration "the most secretive" she has ever had to contend with. * She added that the decision to be so aggressive towards the press "would have to" come directly from President Obama himself." -- Well, this story is now being seen by more people today than subscribe to Al Jazeera, so maybe it might even make enough noise that Ms Abramson might consider running it in her New York Times...
---
Ah, "transparency"! Transparency by any other Judas 00-Barnum name would still smell.
---
Muhtar Kent, Coca Cola chairman says the future for America is bright if the US attains "clarity". Hmmm, isn't "clarity" another name for "transparency"?
---
You know... Judas 00-Barnum rewarding campaign donors with "plum" jobs like Ambassadorships pretty much describes a bribe. Why aren't such donors prohibited from accepting any job with an administration to which they contribute?
--
I have on good authority that Mayor Obamalinson does not want to "visit" rescinding the Council's contribution to Columbus Regional (methinks she likes the cozy arrangement and party invites) for indigent care even though OObamaCRAP basically gives every previously indigent patient insurance coverage. Word is that she claims it'll be 10 +/- years before that would become true. Well, how about this, Madame Mayor Obamalinson: Take a surplus City computer and put it in the lobby of every Columbus hospital's ER Admission room, and make patients fill out an OObamaCRAP application while they are waiting. OOBamaCRAP could even use the computer's camera to take a photo to be used on each patients OObamaCRAP Insurance Card. As an added benefit, photo-ID OObamaCRAP insurance cards could then be the key to getting photo-ID requirements in states the DOJ is not letting them initiate such ID's as a voting requirement!

Online story: "Kenneth Eugene Hogan, 52, was pronounced dead at 6:13 p.m. after he received a lethal injection at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary in McAlester. * Hogan admitted to stabbing 21-year-old Lisa Stanley but said he did so in self-defense after she lunged at him with a knife. Prosecutors said Hogan stabbed the woman more than 25 times in the back, neck and chest in January 1988, then knocked over several objects in her Oklahoma City apartment to make it appear as though she had been robbed. When interrogated, he gave police inconsistent statements." -- I usually don't mention the names of such (_*_)s, but this one is finally dead, and the girl's family can finally get closure. Ironically, this (_*_) lived longer behind bars r-than his victim lived. Justice this slow is questionably justice at all.
--
Online story: "In the latest sign that Hillary Rodham Clinton will run for president, the nation's largest left-leaning super PAC said Thursday that it is raising money for the former secretary of state - an effort that will be led in part by two Bay Area residents. * President Obama's former campaign manager, Jim Messina. UC Berkeley law Professor Maria Echaveste, White House deputy chief of staff under President Bill Clinton, was also named Thursday to the PAC's 14-member board.* Jennifer Granholm, a former Michigan governor who now lives in Oakland and teaches public policy at UC Berkeley, will co-chair the Priorities Action USA political action committee * "I want to elect a president who will appoint a Supreme Court justice who will overturn Citizens United so there is no necessity or no legality for this unfettered flow of money," said Granholm, who will be serving as a volunteer on the committee." -- Will someone pass this along to the US Supreme Court, and to the IRS who should revoke the 501 (c) x classification because this organization is conspiring to overthrow our Constitution.
---
L-E story: "Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia unveiled plans Thursday to consolidate its Columbus operation — including nearly 1,800 local employees — to a new building that will be constructed and leased at Muscogee Technology Park in the Midland area of north Columbus." -- Looks like another blow to the Midtown area of Columbus.. it will be a big hit to restaurants and service businesses in the area, just as Mayor Obamalinson moving her own food company from Brown Avenue to Midland earlier.
---
L-E story: "The final Columbus crime statistics for 2013 are out, and they don’t look good compared to 2012." -- Now we know why Mayor Obamalinson gave a campaign speech rather than a true state-of-the-City speech at the Chamber of Commerce luncheon.
---
Attn: Colin Martin... Zeph Baker... start getting your messages out now!

Moody's has downgraded the whole American Insurance industry. Now Moody's ratings have moved from "stable" to "negative". Moody's has determined that the industry cannot sustain it's profitability within the parameters of OObamaCRAP. Wow... the industry that was efficient for 85% of the nation is now in danger of collapsing .
---
There's a NetFlix mockumentary coming that claims Romney "stole" the Republican nomination from Ron Paul.. If it's true, be thankful.. Ron Paul was about as electable as Ross Perot, and Judas OO-Barnum would have landslide him, and at the same time picked up more House and Senate seats, and we'd be in a more horrible fix that exists today.
---
For some insane reason, my bride got a 2:07 AM "robo-call" alert on her cellphonefrom the CSU police concerning an incident on Warm Springs Road that may or may not have concerned a CSU student. Phone calls from police at 2:07 AM are quite alarming, and the only reason we can deduct for it is that one of our daughters takes CSU classes "online", and my bride's number is listed for emergency contact. Any of you lawyers want a class action suit from her and other parents in a similar situation to keep CSU nuisance calls from happening at 2:07 AM? CSU should be ashamed for upsetting a lot of parents.

Online story: "A NEW ice age could be on its way to Europe after scientists warned of an alarming fall in the performance power of the Sun.* The number of gas explosions on the Sun's surface should be at the peak of its 11-year cycle of activity, but there has been an unexpected drop off. * One space physicist said he had not seen anything like it in his 30 year career, and there are fears the temperatures could drop so low the Thames might freeze over." -- Hmmm, maybe this guy is Algore's alter ego. Putting them in a debate would be ..wait a minute, I can't find a word to use,, no debate with Algore could ever be considered interesting.. help me out here.
---
The above Algore contradiction just highlights a point. The Sun is not a source of perpetual energy so in actuality, the sun is burning itself up, so on a millennium basis, the sun is constantly on a cooling trend. Scientists who consider a 10 or thirty, even a 100 year time span for sun data should not even be credited with being scientists.

Why does Fox keep Alan Colmes on their "contributors" list. He's gone so far left that even Judas 00-Barnum must cringe when Colmes defends/supports OObamaCRAP.
---
Online story: "As the Super Bowl approaches New York much like a blizzard, here are some things to think about: in 2012, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell was paid $29.5 million to run the organization. And that’s not all. The NFL, if you didn’t realize it, exists as a 501 c 6 organization. It’s not for profit! * In order to have that status, the NFL must be run as a charitable foundation. In 2012, they gave away a meager $2.3 million. Almost all of it–$2.1 million– went to the NFL Hall of Fame." -- I'm not even going to suggest this is obscene... it's ridiculous.. The Commissioner basically represents the owners and their interests, so why aren't the players suing Goodell personally for decisions "he" makes that have effected the safety of the players in the game? His decisions basically parrot the owners so they can make more money and s]do so without being scrutinized as the final authority of such issues. Goodell's pay set-up is basically guilt money.
---
You know.. if the NFL owners are willing to pay NFL Commissioner Goodell $29M to run interference for them, then the owners should be responsible for building their own football stadiums.
---
Low info voter's L-E "soundoff": " The wealthiest 85 people (people, not percent!) in the world possess more wealth than the poorest 3.5 billion, all combined. Mind blowing." -- Hmm.. there's a bit of parsing that needs to be done here before the libs start running down the wealthy as being the cause of poverty. When you get down to it, chances are the hundred or so wealthiest Columbusites probably have more wealth than the poorest 3.5 Billion as claimed, since most of those 3.5 billion have 'zip' to begin with and are probably not concerned with the wealth of others.
---
L-E's "Quotable": “The only sure weapon against bad ideas is better ideas.” - Alfred Whitney Griswold American educator (1906-1963)" -- Hmmm, maybe so, but he must have died and taken the rest of the good ideas for education to the grave.
---
From L-E editorial: " House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams, D-Atlanta, is sponsoring a pair of bills that could render at least some of those arguments moot, at least in Georgia. * The more significant of the two would create a process of one-time voter registration for Georgians: “Once you register to vote in the state of Georgia, you shouldn’t have to re-register if you move across the county line or move to a new city,” Abrams says. “It would be permanent, portable voter registration." -- You know, some people, including the L-E editorial responder, think this would be good, but in reality, having such a policy would promote voter fraud, especially at the local levels, at rate we have never seen before. Students from one part of GA coild be enticed to vote in local elections where they go to school. Others who move could always be enticed to vote absentee back at there original voting city. This just reeks of Democratic Party politics. Fortunately, GA voters have limited Democratic Party representatives so this will not happen..hopefully ever!

Online story: Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.), a member of the Senate leadership, came out Wednesday against passing a bill to slap more sanctions on Iran during an interim six-month nuclear deal between that country and the world powers." -- Well, she's a Democrat. She's from Washington State.. We know what she's been smoking.

---
Well, bye to the shortest spell of an "evolving" name for our president. Judas Pinocchi-00 shall now be referred to as Judas 00-Barnum. He apparently has ousted P.T. for showmanship. Tip of the hat to an assist of a fellow BCer.

Online story: " Sears Holdings Corp is closing its downtown Chicago flagship outlet in April, the latest move by the retailer to cut the number of its stores as it relies more on online retailing. * The store has lost "millions of dollars" since opening in 2001, a Sears spokesman said on Tuesday. The closing will leave Sears' namesake chain without a store in the downtown core of its hometown. * Edward Lampert, who is Sears' CEO and top shareholder, said store closings are necessary because shoppers' habits are changing as they buy more online" -- "shopper's habits are changing"? Yeah, I'd say so.. too many 5-finger discounts, and EBT cards can't be accepted online?
---
Online headline/story: "U.S. Likely To Hit Debt Ceiling Sooner Than Believed * The length of time that the extraordinary measures can extend the nation's borrowing authority is significantly shorter than it was in 2011 and 2013," (Treasury Secretary Jack) Lew wrote. "This is in large part because the government experiences large net cash outflows in the month of February, due to tax refunds. For example, in 2013, the government experienced net cash outflows of approximately $230 billion in the month of February, as compared to average net outflows of $45 billion in the other months of the year." -- You know, using tax refunds as an excuse is basically more Judas 00-Barnum "showmanship". Tax refunds are neither the government's too spend nor are they an unexpected transaction. Refunds happen EVERY year at this time. This just gives mainstream media an alternative to reporting further about 00-Barnum scandals, and, at the same time, delays momentum of Republican candidates for the next election season.
---
Online headline: "Target Lays Off 475 Workers At Minnesota Offices" -- Hmmm... taking a play out of the Christie political playbook... Guillotine the credit card security department for getting caught in a business embarrassment.
---
HuffPost headline/story: "Aron Cramer: 'Income Inequality And Climate Change Are Actually Very Directly Linked' * In an interview with HuffPost on Wednesday, Aron Cramer, president and CEO of Business for Social Responsibility, said he thinks "income inequality and climate change are actually very directly linked." -- Huh? Who da... is Aron Cramer? Here's who he is: "Cramer served as an attorney in private practice in San Francisco and at ABC News in New York. He is a graduate of Tufts University and obtained his law degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He was born and raised in Los Angeles.
Cramer speaks frequently before industry audiences and in other fora, and has been widely quoted in media outlets including the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, National Public Radio and others. In 2004, he co-edited Raising the Bar, a publication providing guidance on implementation of the UN Global Compact principles."... a walking, talking liberal without a single economic contribution to life as we know it.

Be still my heart... I get recharged hearing about 35 states having already petitioned for a 28th Amendment, but I haven't found a site that names these 35 states. Who knows of a website that has such a list?

Online headline/story: "Gay Porn Star, Will Return To High School Following Suspension * A story made its rounds on the Internet this weekend after a Florida high school allegedly suspended senior R------ M------ when the principal discovered the student had appeared in multiple gay porn movies * Originally reported through ******, the poster claimed that M------ had been severely bullied after his classmates discovered his after-school job, causing school administrators to allegedly suspend him for "causing a campus disturbance." * A number of porn stars have faced disputes within school systems whether they were active in the adult film industry or not. In 2010, (a teacher) -- who directed and acted in a series of gay porn films under the name C----- O'N--- was dismissed from a substitute teaching gig in the Miami area after a principal discovered his films on a website. The following year, however, the Florida Education Practices Commission ruled that (said teacher) would not only be not only be permitted to teach, but was also eligible to apply for a permanent position as an educator." -- Good grief! we're not talking about a few "selfie" pictures.. we're talking about "paid for play" pornography participants that any student or teacher can access being supported by the Florida Education system.
---
Online headline/story: "'Star Wars: Episode VII': Carrie Fisher Confirms Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill Returning * "I'd like to wear my old [cinnamon buns] hairstyle again -- but with white hair," Fisher jokes. "I think that would be funny." -- Hmmm... I can see "Depends" and "Dentu-Creme" and OObamaCRAP will have "product placement" contracts.
---
Online story: " China's Lenovo Group is buying IBM's server business for $2.3 billion, expanding a product line-up dominated by PCs, tablets and smartphones." -- Hmmm, now China won't have to hack our military information.. it will own access to it.
---
Hmmm.. SuperBowl Sunday will have a competitor for TV time. It's Ground Hog Day, and Punxsutawney Phil may not come out of his 'man-cave'.
--
So Warren Buffet is going to pay out a Billion.., yes , a Billion bucks for a "perfect" March Madness bracket . The odds are phenomenal, to say the least, but probably right up the NSA's or Chicago politicians' alley to rig. Watch the Las Vegas odds when the fix is in.
---
Online story: " A new, 9-meter (29.5-foot) sculpture of Nelson Mandela is billed as the biggest statue of the South African leader. It also has a tiny, barely visible quirk: a sculpted bunny tucked inside one of the bronze ears." -- Hmmm, how'd that get there? Rumors have it the NSA planted a "Bugs".
---
Wow! Have you seen the pants the Swedish Olympic Curling Team will be wearing? Let's pray they don't show up on our golf courses.
---
One of the more astute and observant posters on the Columbus L-E website mentioned a real possibility of Council saving some real big bucks. She brought up the annual 3 mil stipend indigent care check Council still gives to Columbus Regional. Her point.. that with OObamaCRAP, there are no indigent patients anymore so that tribute could, should be stopped. Good point..but what does Mayor Obamalinson say about that?
---
Al Franken... probably the worst qualified and least deserving person ever elected to the U.S. Senate..why isn't Franken used as the "poster child" to why every Democrat Senator running for re-election should be sent home packing?
---
Online story: "On Morning Joe on MSNBC, liberal hack Katty Kay blamed Ambassador Chris Stevens for his own death at the hands of Islamic terrorists and outright lied about Stevens rejecting offered security personnel. * Katty Kay: 'Why were they not properly defended? And this report in a way is very sad because Chris Stevens, who was the ambassador who was killed who was clearly a brave and honorable man, was also fallible, and perhaps didn’t ask for, rejected even, some of the security that he might have had.' -- So, the "Hillary 2016" campaign begins
---
From the "maybe there is hope" department - Online story: "The Washington Post Fact Checker blogger finally fact-checked himself. * In a rare admission, The Washington Post’s Fact Checker, Glenn Kessler gave himself “Three Pinocchios” for peddling the line that Obamacare’s Medicaid expansion has covered an additional 3.9 million Americans so far. * “Bottom line: This number tells you almost nothing about how the Affordable Care Act is affecting Medicaid enrollment,” he wrote. “Reporters need to stop using it.” -- When the Washington Post.. any Washington paper/newletter/blog for that matter, actually goes back over what it has already printed as "fact" and tries to correct that.. then perhaps there is 'HOPE' that mainstream media will go back over all the Judas 00-Barnum scandals for a look-see. Maybe we can "HOPE' Hillary and Benghazi are frontrunner subjects.
---
The first of the main "planks" of The Homosexual Lobby is pushing in their campaign to reshape America:
1) The Homosexual Classrooms Act, requiring every school -- even private and religious schools -- to teach appalling homosexual acts." -- You know, if homosexuality were "normal", then you wouldn't have to teach aberrancy for something that comes naturally...
---
Online story: "As California faces the worst drought in its 163-year history with no hint of relief in sight, some scientists are calling the event a red flag for the future of the nation. * Gov. Jerry Brown raised the issue in his State of the State address Wednesday, saying “we do not know how much our current problem derives from the build-up of heat-trapping gasses, but we can take this drought as a stark warning of things to come.” -- No wonder Algore chose California to buy his last home... his neighbors think like him. Hey, it's not Climate Change causing the "hot air pressure ridge' off the coast that's keeping rain storms from coming in from the sea.. it's California politicians methane gas pockets from expelling too much BS over Global Warming.
---
Online headline: "Gov. Jerry Brown tells Californians why he's irreplaceable " -- Hmmm, maybe because he's the poster child for 00BamaCRAP's mental health coverage?
---
WTVM9 story: "PHENIX CITY, AL - A building in Phenix City that will be used by law enforcement agencies around the region was dedicated to the Russell County sheriff Wednesday afternoon. * It was dedicated and named after Sheriff Heath Taylor and has a plaque on the side of the entrance." -- Excuse me, as I don't have a dog in this fight, but I find naming a building after a current Sheriff somewhat of a political move to discourage any candidates who might oppose him in the future. This follows him having his name painted on the sides of all the Sheriff patrol cars as well. The Alabama Election Commission needs to step in on this situation.
---
WTVM9 story: "Authorities: No organized crime in Columbus" -- Mayor Obamalinson has obviously not read the police files on gangs and such terrorizing out streets.
---
WTVM9 headline/story: "Task force disrupts professionally catered dog fight, 34 arrests " -- Hmmm, apparently a rolling snack truck was on premise to serve these "sports fans". Hopefully, "hot dogs" were not on the menu.
---
Latest from the Democratic Party: "Hal -- Right now, it's an election year, and we need to start acting like it.
* Democrats across the country are going to be relying on all of us for support this year, and card-carrying DNC members are going to take the lead." -- Good grief... Democrats are against carrying photo IDs for voting, but want members to be card-carrying. The last time I heard of any political campaign to get to card-carrying members was by the Communist Party. Hmm.. maybe the DNC stands for "Deranged New Communists".

Publicly educated, low info voter's L-E "soundoff": "Timber owners should pay a higher tax rate than the rest of us because their logging trucks are always damaging our roads — not the poultry rate they currently pay." -- "poultry rate"? Hmmm, something smells "fowl" here, but from what I see, obviously more tax money is being wasted on public education than it costs us in taxpayer funded pot-hole repairs.

L-E story: "OAKLAND, Calif. — A San Francisco Bay Area public transit officer who was shot and killed by a fellow officer while searching an apartment was looking for a laptop and related items that had been stolen, the transit agency police chief said Wednesday." -- Hmmm, illegal aliens can't be arrested; tiny fish keep farmers getting irrigation during droughts; Moonbeam Brown, Nancy Pelosi and Diane Feinstein are it's political leaders, and transit officers investigate thefts and are armed and dangerous. Only in California.

L-E headline/story: "Obama targets college sexual assault epidemic * A White House report highlights a stunning prevalence of rape on college campuses, with 1 in 5 female students assaulted while only 1 in 8 student victims report it. * “No one is more at risk of being raped or sexually assaulted than women at our nation’s colleges and universities,” said the report by the White House Council on Women and Girls" -- And you know what will be the first area of discussion to be avoided... policies initiated to install coed dorms, coed floors and coed bathrooms for teens leaving their homes for the first time.

L-E headline/story: "Justices hear case on restitution over child pornography * In a Supreme Court argument Wednesday that was part math problem and part seminar on the nature of culpability, the justices seemed to agree on just two things. * The first was that Doyle R. Paroline, convicted in 2009 of possessing 280 images of child pornography, “is a bad guy,” as Justice Antonin Scalia put it. * The second was that the child shown in two of those images had suffered terrible harm, first from the sexual assaults committed by another man two decades ago and then from the mass circulation of depictions of her abuse. * A 1994 federal law allows the victims of child pornography to seek restitution from people convicted of viewing images of their abuse. Amy’s lawyers say her losses, for a lifetime of therapy, lost income and legal bills, add up to $3.4 million." -- You know.. the system isn't working to help the victim.. it's primary interest is how much money one group of lawyers think another group of lawyers should get. Without the money on the line, where would this case be?

Seems that in the Sochi Olympic venue bathrooms, there will be twin commodes in every toilet stall and users will be sent in pairs to use them. There will be no privacy barrier between them, either. Glad the Olympics are not in California, and California would demand that men could go in the women's restrooms and vice versa.
