Online story: "A conservative black leader says despite complaints from the
Eric Holder-led Justice Department, school systems across the country aren't
being run by a "cabal of white racist administrators."
* The Associated Press reported Wednesday that the Obama administration is
calling on schools to get rid of disciplinary policies that are "overly zealous"
and sometimes discriminatory. According to that report, Attorney General Eric
Holder believes the problem stems from well-intentioned "zero tolerance"
policies that too often inject the criminal justice system into the resolution
of problems. * "Ordinary troublemaking can sometimes provoke responses that are
overly severe, including out-of-school suspensions, expulsions and even referral
to law enforcement – and then you end up with kids that end up in police
precincts instead of the principal's office," Holder said.-- You know..
actually, when you exclude people of any color from justice/consequences is not
just racism, it's segregated culturism. Unfortunately, discipline in society has
to be a combination, a merging of efforts, of family and schools. If there is
any finger pointing deserved, it is at the legal system that has protected
criminal rights more than victims' & society's rights.

: "OFA is looking for the next generation of grassroot leaders * Know anyone
that fits that description? * The deadline (yep, "deadline") to apply to be an
OFA Spring Fellow is Sunday, January 12th,"
Application questions:
Time Commitment:
40 Hours/week
15 Hours/week
Describe an example of a lesson you have learned from the community you
grew up in, and how you think this will help you as a Spring Organizing
Fellow.*
Explain a time when you worked to build a coalition among individuals with
different backgrounds
List one issue that is most important to you and why (i.e. the economy,
immigration reform, climate change, gun violence prevention, marriage equality,
access to reproductive health, etc.).
Did you work on any campaigns during the 2008, 2010, or 2012 cycles? If so,
can you explain your experience?
List any other languages that you speak:
-- Hmmm, no wonder Judas 00-bama and the Democrats want unemployment
benefits extended for another year.. they want an army of campaigners to be able
to work full time for their election/re-election in November!
---
Chris Christie & Judas 00-bama don't much look alike.. One is trim, the
other not do much... but they sure sound alike. Just politicians playing a game
of "CYA". Christie did act and sacrifice some of his staff, but he is just as
responsible for his staff's actions as Judad 00-bama is for his staff. Let's see
how the mainstream handles both situations.
---
Without a doubt, Governor Christie did protest too much.

Latest from the DNC: "Hal - In September, New Jersey officials closed lanes
on the George Washington Bridge, causing massive gridlock that left thousands of
commuters -- including school buses and first responders -- stranded near the
town of Fort Lee. * Christie insisted -- over and over again! -- that no one on
his staff was involved in the closure, and that the decision wasn't political
retribution for the Fort Lee mayor's failure to endorse Christie for
re-election. * Literally none of that appears to be true. His staff was directly
involved, and their motivation appeared to be straight-up political
retribution." -- Hmmm let's see... substitute the Democrat of your choice (Judas
00-bama, Hillary, Biden, Pelosi , Reid, Holder or Rangel) for "Christie", and
substitute the scandal of your choice ("fast&furious", Benghazi, Uncle
Onyango, Aunty Zeituni, vacation-gate, Government shutdown, Iraq/Afghanistan,
Egypt, et al) for "George Washington Bridge", and any of their staffs for
Christies, and re-read the paragraph. See, they are all liberals and all lie
through their teeth.

L-E headline: "Sanford Bishop now cancer free" -- Hmmm, glad to see
Congressman Bishop is cancer free... now if we could just get his District
Bishop-free...
---
L-E story: "Among the 50 or so people attending Martin’s campaign kickoff
at the City Services Center were Columbus Councilors Glenn Davis, Bruce Huff and
Gary Allen, Sheriff John Darr, Marshal Greg Countryman, Municipal Court Clerk
Vivian Creighton Bishop and Tax Commissioner Lula Huff." -- Hmmm, interesting..
several impact players in the Democrat bloc vote tossing out statements that
they aren't 100% blindly committed to re-electing Mayor Obamalinson.. either
that or the group is negotiating for additional favoritism.
---
L-E headline: "Tomlinson calls apparent support for Martin ‘disappointing’"
-- Hmm, proves my point about the usual Democratic bloc vote making a statement
of their want for more concessions.
---
L-E story: "Anthony Thomas faces charges for distributing marijuana almost
a month after Special Operation Unit officers searched his alleged residence,
according to authorities. * officers found allegedly $125 worth of hydrocodone
and more marijuana were found in the front bedroom of the house. There, agents
allegedly found a water bill in Thomas' name and his ID. * Thomas' attorney,
Stacey Jackson, argued during the hearing that Thomas' bonds should be reduced,
since the agent could not prove that Thomas had been at the residence. He argued
that the relative might have stolen Thomas' ID and set up the bill in his name."
-- "alleged residence"? "agent allegedly found a water bill"? "relative might
have stolen Thomas' ID and set up the bill in his name"? Good grief! What a
pathetic "alleged" legal defense tactic... and 'we' are "allegedly" are probably
paying for it, and the GA Supreme Court will probably allegedly throw the case
out for inefficient "alleged" lawyering. "We" can't win for l..., no, "we' just
can't win..period.

DumbocRAT Sen. Chuck Schumer was out blasting Republicans for wanting to
"pay for" extending unemployment benefits for another year. He said the
situation is different now, and "jobs" is the number 1 issue. HUH? That should
have been the number 1 issue from day one of Judas 00-bama's first day in the
White House, and every day Schumer has been in office.

Let's take a poll... or at least think about this... Ladies (and you men
with spouses), a ban on producing incandescent light bulbs went into effect Jan
1 of this year. Now, when the current supply in your house and in
hardware/grocery, or other retail outlets are diminished.. what are you going to
replace your dining room chandelier bulbs, your vanity lights, and recessed
ceiling lights with? Surely not CFLs or those outright ugly LED bulbs?
Conservatives didn't this create/suggest this law... Those "oh, we support all
women's issues Democrats" did this to you. They try to appeal on women's health
issues in hopes you'll backlash against conservatives , but the Democrats really
care less about what else is important other than re-election. Remember that
before you vote for any more liberals.

L-E story: "A high speed rail line between Columbus and Atlanta would cost
between $1.3-$3.9 billion over the next 20 years to build, but once up and
running would more than pay for its operations and maintenance, a consultant
said today." -- Incredible... not one private railway company considers this
feasible enough to implement, and no existing government rail systems operate in
a profitable manner and a consultant who was paid with tax dollars claims it
will work this time... it's only a matter of the right people being in charge.
It's always about the right people being in charge, but the knowledgeable people
know this is another folly to distribute taxpayer dollars into government graft.
---
L-E story: "Plans are to have one stop between Columbus and Atlanta, and Newnan appears to be the early favorite, but LaGrange is also in the running, considering its proximity to the Kia plant. -- Hmmm, sounds more like a 'local" than an "express".. given that at least 15 minutes would be needed to complete a "stop" at each station..where's the savings in time to make it attractive, and heaven knows how any other 'whistle stops' will want to be included for passenger pick-up/delivery.
---
L-E story: 'Immediately, the commission must make sure the Columbus to Atlanta route is included in the state DOT rail plan and continue to identify potential funding for the next phase, Berry said. * “There are a lot of different funding programs,” Berry said. “Historically, these have been funded by federal funding, federal grants and loans.” -- "federal funding, federal grants and (federal) loans"? How many ways can the government find ways to not say "it's your tax dollars that will be spent whether you want it or not"?

Hmmmm, if you are a consulting firm and a Mayor offers to give you
$350,000.00 to conduct a feasibility study on a project she's already indicated
she wants, and knowing it will take 20+ years to come to fruition, are you as a
consultant going to return a negative finding?

One thing we are finding out is that Ron White can't fix our school board
or Dennis Rodman... maybe we can find a "vet" who will volunteer to "fix"
Rodman.
---
Though it's not a current MCSD issue, the Phenix City School Board just
announced a new bond issue which includes $1,500,000.00 for 14 or 15 new
buses... Busing is probably more of a problem than a solution to education's
woes. Sure, in extreme rural areas, busing is of real help, but in the city
limits and schools in areal proximity to homes, parents would probably be more a
part of the education of their children if they undertook the responsibility of
getting their children to their schools. A bonus is either lower taxes or to be
able to use of bond issue money inside the classrooms.

L-E's "Pick of the Day" "soundoff: " Oliver Wendell Holmes once said: “I
like to pay taxes. With them I buy civilization.” -- What liberals won't try to
pass of as support for more taxes. Holmes died in 1935. He didn't know what
taxes were compared to today. Even if he did. would he think the current state
of the country is civilization as he dreamed of it?

There are two sports announcers that will get me to either watch a game in
"mute" or switch channels - Brent Musburger and Dick Vitale.... Both seems to
have arrived at their "positions" believing they are as big, as important, as
the games themselves... at times, both have really believed themselves to be
bigger than those games.

Low, low, low info voter's L-E "soundoff": " It says in the scripture that
God loves everybody. It does not exclude anybody. There is no place where it
says God does not like homosexuality. Maybe you should practice grace and
mercy." -- God indeed loves us all, but acted demonstrably about his abomination
for crimes against nature. God will indeed forgive repentant persons, and those
persons' sins when said persons adopt God's ways; and because of His love for
us, God even takes last minute requests on good faith.

L-E guest commentary - Harold Meyerson, editor-at-large of American
Prospect, says, "Despite the treasured right-wing talking points, it’s
increasingly clear that Obamacare is a success. -- Hmm, Harold Meterson is,
according to WikiPedia, "Born in Los Angeles, Meyerson was educated in the Los
Angeles public schools and at Columbia University. The son of long time leaders
in California of the Socialist Party of America, he was active in the 1970s in
the Democratic Socialist Organizing Committee." With support like this,
Republicans just need to step back, take a seat, and let the Democratic Party
implode between now and November. BTW, if you do a "search" for "Harold
Meyerson" on the L-E Online website (as of 8:30 AM EST), neither his name or
this article gets a 'hit'.
