Two minutes of the All-Pro game was all I could take. I tried my best to adjust the color of my TV but there was nothing I could do to make those uniforms less ugly.

Online headline/story: "More teens waiting to get their driver’s license, studies show * A growing number of teenagers are waiting a considerable time to get their driver’s license after becoming eligible – a trend experts attribute to an array of societal and economic shifts ranging from the diminishing role of the automobile in the American psyche to the cost of gasoline. * It looks like teens just can't afford to drive," Matt Moore said in announcing the results of a Highway Loss Data Institute study in October that reaffirmed the trend’s existence by examining vehicle insurance data * But other experts peg the decline to less obvious factors, like demographic shifts from suburbia to urban areas, which typically have more mass transit options that diminish the need for a car * “Young folks would rather spend their money on an iPhone than a car," Prof. Bruce Stephenson, director of the Planning in Civic Urbanism masters program at Rollins College told the Sentinel. "The car is not the status symbol it once was. It's just not a high priority." * Meanwhile, Glenn Victor, a director at the Florida Safety Council in Orlando, told the Sentinel he blamed the trend on years of frightening ads and teaching about the dangers of drunken driving." -- Huh? " mass transit options that diminish the need for a car".. "The car is not the status symbol it once was"? .. Huh? "Meanwhile, Glenn Victor, a director at the Florida Safety Council in Orlando, told the Sentinel he blamed the trend on years of frightening ads and teaching about the dangers of drunken driving"? -- You know... ain't but three reasons why teen driver's license figure are down.. one is parents can't go out and buy a reliable 5 or 6 year old vehicle far a beginner "set of wheels" for under $1,000.00. The second is the cost of adding a 16 year old to the family insurance bill, and the third is that teens have to complete a commercial driver's school/education program to get a license before they're 18. And to think, people in government, people we are paying salaries for, have to dream up some excuse to blame this otherwise so they can make it appear their jobs are justified. The lamest "excuse" is the Florida Safety Council Director's... "frightening ads and teaching about the dangers of drunken driving"! Name me one teen you know that even listens to advice like that from a parent, much less a government PSA>

Online headline/story: "HSBC (multinational British bank) imposes restrictions on large cash withdrawals * Stephen Cotton went to his local HSBC branch this month to withdraw £7,000 from his instant access savings account to pay back a loan from his mother. * When we presented them with the withdrawal slip, they declined to give us the money because we could not provide them with a satisfactory explanation for what the money was for. They wanted a letter from the person involved." * Mr Cotton says the staff refused to tell him how much he could have: "So I wrote out a few slips. I said, 'Can I have £5,000?' They said no. I said, 'Can I have £4,000?' They said no. And then I wrote one out for £3,000 and they said, 'OK, we'll give you that.' * He asked if he could return later that day to withdraw another £3,000, but he was told he could not do the same thing twice in one day. * As this was not a change to the Terms and Conditions of your bank account we had no need to pre-notify customers of the change” * He wrote to complain to HSBC about the new rules and also that he had not been informed of any change. *The bank said it did not have to tell him. "As this was not a change to the Terms and Conditions of your bank account, we had no need to pre-notify customers of the change," HSBC wrote." -- What is this? How can a banks in a "free country" demand you provide them with answers satisfactory to it before they will allow you access to YOUR money? Who trained theses guys... our IRS?

It's somewhat ironic that the upcoming Olympics are in Sochi. The option Judas 00-Barnum tried to sell the IOC on was to have them in So. Chi-town. Guess the IOC felt there was less danger of al Qaida in Sochi than street gangs in So. Chi-town.

Low info voter's L-E "soundoff": "If you think Fox News tells both sides of the story, you are truly delusional. Fox News has never told anything other than the right-wing slant since its inception." -- Hmmm...Guess it's a Democrat thing... to have to parse the definition of words that mean something else to most lucid people... the truth is the truth in normal society.
---
From L-E's "Today in History": "On this date: In 1880, Thomas Edison received a patent for his electric incandescent lamp." -- Hmmm, did you know one of his original bulbs is still working in Julerburg, CA? Do you think he will rollover in his grave when it finally burns out and it's replaced with a CFL bulb made in China?
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “Who never doubted, never half believed. Where doubt is, there truth is — it is her shadow.” — Gamaliel Bailey, American abolitionist (1807-1859)." -- Hmmm...I believe it... haven't we all doubted whether Judas 00-Barnum has ever told the truth.... hasn't the truth been found?
---
Judas 00-Barnum is playing it a little safer giving his State of the Union speech this year. Last year he gave it on Honest Abe's birthday, so he's going to avoid any proximity to getting any closer to doing one on George "I cannot tell a lie" Washington's birthday.
---
L-E headline: "White House warns Obama will go around Congress if necessary" -- How ironic.. The L-E, and I'm sure many other liberal sources are smugly smirking at Judas 00-Barnum's arrogance, but what these bastions of liberalness don't realize is that 00-Barnum's skirting of the Constitutional powers granted Congress, means he wouldn't have a problem skirting the 1st Amendmendent as well, and the L-E couldn't operate without that guaranteed protection.

Haven't said much about Wendy Davis info that's coming to light as it appears that there's a lot more under the surface. Shoot, she may become a bigger liar than Hillary!
