As I note this for today's blog, it's 5:30 Tuesday afternoon, and snowing some of the largest flakes I've ever seen, but my joy is nothing compared to the joy and excitement my 21 month old Sophia is experiencing as snow is falling for the first time in her life. One of the things Judas 00-Barnum boasts about is that insurance companies cannot charge women more than men. "Sounds" like it may be fair, BUT he can say that because all men and all babies, and all women out of childbearing age are charged for maternity costs.

Last night' Judas 00-Barnum speech left the editorial staff of every media source somewhat frustrated. How do you "fact check" someone who didn't give a single fact that already hadn't been exposed as a lie?

Judas 00-Barnum is scheduled for an interview with Bill O'Reilly on Super Bowl Sunday. You know, O'Reilly will be the obvious power in charge. That's really sad...almost pathetic.

It was 18° in Washington last night, and 25° in Columbus, GA, and Judas 00-Barnum focused on Global Warming. Like Judas's namesake, P.T. Barnum, who summed up the state of his world as "there's a sucker born every minute", Judas 00-Barnum prays hard there are more liberals born every minute.

Judas 00-Barnum said he would like to cut corporate taxes to promote business growth. Republicans jumped to their feet quicker than the Democrats which means that there's no way Harry Reid will bring any House bill to the Senate floor.

When Judas 00-Barnum mentioned patent reform that promoted innovation rather than litigation, Boehner clapped, while Biden slumped down in his chair. Guess Biden now realizes he want get trial lawyers support in 2016.

You know, if any of the successes Judas 00-Barnum recited as his own had actually happened, he would have had creal successes to report rather than talk about what he plans to do.

The purpose of the State of the Union speech is to tell Congress what has happened to make America a better place, not relate pipedreams of what he wants to do next year that he hadn't done when he had the chance.

The State of the Union speech should be an event that shows the world how strong we are, not a time for an ineffective president to grovel looking for tidbits to throw to his supporters to retain their vote.

How did Judas 00-Barnum give an hour long plus state of the union speech without addressing the rollout fiasco and overall security failure of OObamaCRAP?

Of real note was the military contingent remaining absolutely silent and motionless when Judas 00-Barnum described his plans for Afghanistan departure. The same group energetically jumped to its feet and vigorously applauded when 00-Barnum mentioned mental health plans for veterans.

Judas 00-Barnum did make some sense near the end of speech.. he said sometimes we stumble.. make mistakes. Yes.. I'd say he nailed that assessment, and gave the nation 'hope' that 'change' could happen in November.

Judas 00-Barnum proudly proclaimed we are a global leader in solar energy. Of course he didn't qualify that by saying we're the leaders in giving loans to solar companies that go bankrupt before getting a product to market.

Obviously, Judas 00-Barnum didn't listen to what I wrote about that I thought was important for him to talk about. Just asked him to listen, then us the truth.. It's not within him.

The Republican response missed. Too cutsie, and conflicted in it's message of allowing people to make personal choices, but contrary to the repeated Republican efforts to legislate morals.

Traditionally, a Cabinet member is designated not to attend the State of the Union speech because nearly every other member in the designated line of succession to the presidency is assembled in the House Chamber. That's to insure that there is someone within that succession list is not subject to a disaster should an act of God or terrorism wipe out all attending the SOTU speech. This year, it was Secretary of Energy, Ernest Moniz, a physicist from MIT. Not saying he's not an American citizen by birth, but do you think Judas 00-Barnum bothered to check this out before isolating him to become president if a disaster occurred?

In reality , few, if any, workers involved in federal contracts are making less than $10.10, but... BUT...those are mostly union situations, and all union wage contracts are tied into the "minimum wage", so in effect, 00-Barnum is giving all the union workers a "ratio" raise. Taxpayers are getting ripped a new one.

Though he didn't play baseball with him, my grandfather, who had married an Augusta, GA woman, played golf with him in the early days of Augusta National.

L-E editorial commentary: "This would amount to free money, or as close to “free” money as anything provided by taxpayers can ever be. * The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Tuesday that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation will use a $424,000 federal grant to organize DNA samples" -- Democrats use this logic to boast to potential voters that "it's free". It's a shame the L-E editorial responder is supporting such a claim. We hear it from our Mayor and our School Board as well. There's no such thing as "free money" from the federal government.. it started out as tax revenues confiscated by the federal government, and after upwards of 80% being paid to bureaucrats to administer such grant programs, the balance gets dribbled back to other government entities as "free"... but with strings galore attached.
