Online story: "ABC News' Dan Harris revealed on Wednesday that he struggled with drug use for years." -- Hmmm, about 5 years, I'd say.. starting with discovering Judas 00-Barnum was a liar worse than Clinton.
---
Online story: "MSNBC host Krystal Ball had some surprising advice for Hillary Clinton on Tuesday: "Don't run, Hillary. Don't run." * Clinton, the "Cycle" host said, was "not the right person for this moment."
Ball went on:"Is someone who recently took $400,000 to give two speeches at Goldman Sachs the person we need to wrest control of the asylum back from the banking inmates? Someone who, at those paid speeches, reassured those masters of the universe in attendance that they were being unfairly persecuted?" -- Hmmmhow ironic.. a "Krystal Ball" has revealed the number one problem in liberalism... mainstream media can deal with/accept Hillary's lies, but not when she's telling the truth.

Online story: "President Barack Obama increased the minimum wage for a few hundred thousand federal contractors on Wednesday, then pressed the divided Congress to pass broader legislation that would apply to all workers. * "Raising the minimum wage is good for business, it's good for workers and it's good for the economy," Obama said." -- First, I wanna see the actual number of federal contractor employees working for minimum wages, but what has really happened is that now all union contracts swing into play because they are tied into the federal minimum wage level. Secondly, Judas 00-Barnum did not order this because it was " good for business, it's good for workers and it's good for the economy"... it's been good for distracting mainstream media on what's been bad for Judas 00-Barnum.

Online story: "Former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin was convicted Wednesday on charges that he accepted bribes, free trips and other gratuities from contractors in exchange for helping them secure millions of dollars in city work while he was in office, including right after Hurricane Katrina. * The federal jury found Nagin guilty of 20 of 21 counts against him." -- First, I'm really stunned at the results. Nagin must have really pissed off the DNC and it abandoned him, but as Yogi Berra said, "it ain't over until it's over". We still have to deal with the sentence some fed judge will dispense, and the appeal to the next level and so-on.

Online story: "Senate Democrats fell just one vote short of advancing a bill to restore long-term unemployment insurance last Thursday" -- Wait a minute... the Democrats have a majority in the Senate...

What's the diff? A homosexual athlete taking a shower with his normal male teammates and a hormonal crazed teen boy showering with his normal coed teammates in a mixed basketball league?

Online story: " A Cuban immigrant was executed by lethal injection on Wednesday for the 1995 kidnapping, rape and murder of a 9-year-old south Florida boy, a spokeswoman for the governor said. * The (_*_) kidnapped the boy at gunpoint as he got off a school bus in Redland, an agricultural area of south Miami-Dade County. * (_*_) took "the 9 year old boy to his trailer and raped him. When the boy tried to escape, Chavez shot him in the back, dismembered him and hid his body in plastic pots." -- OK you anti-death sentence wackos, especially you Governor Inslee of Washington,, defend this (_*_)!

Online story: "A federal judge in Kentucky on Wednesday struck down a portion of the state’s constitutional ban on same-sex marriage, ruling that Kentucky must recognize marriages that have been performed legally in other states." -- Here we go again.. some activist judge ignoring another Amendment to our Constitution.. the 10th Amendment which states that powers not granted to the federal government by the Constitution, nor prohibited to the States, are reserved to the States or the people.

Don't tell me the auto industry in hitting on all cylinders when I'm still seeing ads for new heavily discounted 2013 vehicles bring aired in prime time during February 2014.

Latest from www.barackobama/organizingforaction.com: "LAST CALL: Your chance to meet President Obama" -- This almost made my heart flutter, but just another "oooops" moment... Judas 00-Barnum is not stepping down this week.

Online story: "This is one way to skew the Obamacare stats and turn the IRS into the Democrats’ personal political army in a stroke:
Consider what administration officials announcing the new exemption for medium-sized employers had to say about firms that might fire workers to get under the threshold and avoid hugely expensive new requirements of the law. Obama officials made clear in a press briefing that firms would not be allowed to lay off workers to get into the preferred class of those businesses with 50 to 99 employees. How will the feds know what employers were thinking when hiring and firing? Simple. Firms will be required to certify to the IRS – under penalty of perjury – that ObamaCare was not a motivating factor in their staffing decisions. To avoid ObamaCare costs you must swear that you are not trying to avoid ObamaCare costs. You can duck the law, but only if you promise not to say so. * Company officials will be trapped in a catch-22. They can lay off as many people as they want because of Obamacare. But because they’ll have to swear to the IRS that their decisions had nothing to do with Obamacare, they can’t speak publicly about what’s happening. What a great way to silence the people who are on the front lines of dealing with Obamacare’s horrific effects." -- Hmmm, and the real kicker is that when the IRS asks questions about your motives, you cannot "take the 5th" as you can in a court of law.

A story in the Columbus L-E concerning local political donations for local offices once again reveals a need for campaign finance reform. Incumbents raising funds during their terms of office for re-election is somewhat coercing, sorta like AC-DC blackmail. How about a simple donation reform that allows receiving/giving donations only in a period of the 12 months preceding the swearing in date of the office the candidate is running for election/re-election. When donations are given/received during the other months of an incumbent's term, who knows what promises, what conditions, what deals are tied to it. Also, what needs to be revealed are "donations" made from any candidates personal foundation that similar "donations" are made to organizations benefiting from the LOST Public Safety tax revenues earmarked for "Crime Prevention".

Low info voter's L-E "soundoff": "CNN’s poll says 63% of Dems vs 44% of Reps understand women’s issues. Gee, 107%? CNN is a child left behind. Besides everyone knows 78% of all statistics are made up on the spot." -- "78% of all statistics are made up on the spot".. yeah, including this one. First, a poll measuring percentages of Democrats and Republicans is not going to add up to 100%. The percentages concluded are how the certain party affiliates are opining about specific issues. Secondly, why would anyone believe a CNN poll on anything?
---
Poignant L-E "soundoff": "Since this is Black History Month, wouldn’t it be a good thing for the Ledger to do an article on the history of our first black president? I’m anxiously waiting." -- The "why" is easy... all the pertinent info is sealed from FIA.
---
L-E story: "On its 5 p.m. newscast Wednesday, WRBL interviewed Muscogee County Superintendent David Lewis, who told the media he consulted with meteorologists (yes, plural) before deciding late Tuesday night to cancel school. * The TV station said their meteorologists were never consulted, and quoted its own Bob Jeswald saying that the forecast actually didn't change during the evening. * WRBL said when confronted about the number of meteorologists consulted, Lewis revised his statement to say he only spoke with one meteorologist." -- Well, there goes another "hope" dashed.. the hope of getting an honest Superintendent of Schools.

After reading about the budget conflicts between Mayor Obamalinson and Sheriff Darr, perhaps it's time for the jail budget/budgeting be handled directly by Council. Not only would it free up the Sheriff from baby sitting duties, maybe the Council would read what the federal demands are on how prisoners must be handled medically.

Not a good week for the automobile industry... Toyota's future is being filleted on its flagship Prius models, and Corvette just had its history swallowed up.
