Online story: "According to the New York Times, T(_*_) Steyer wants to make
his group, NextGen Climate (_*_)ction, a critical player in this year's races by
putting $50 million of his own funds into the San Francisco-based group and
seeking an additional $50 million from outside donors. The former hedge fund
manager reportedly met with two dozen liberal donors earlier this month to offer
details on his plan." -- "Former hedge fund manager"...You know, lib wackos like
this (_*_) are the worst. He made a 'killing' on other people's investment
miseries, and now he wants to inflict more miseries just to bask in the light of
"look at me, I care". Of course, Democrat politicians fawn, and line up at his
money trough knowing his vanity will put donations into keeping them in office
whether or not the campaign promises are kept or not.

Online story: " 40,000 tons of New Jersey-bound rock salt has been stuck at
a port in Maine because the Department of Homeland Security denied the state’s
request to waive a provision requiring transport on an American-flagged vessel *
The shipment was held up for failing to comply with the Jones Act, a 1920s
maritime law that mandates commercial vessels transporting shipments between
U.S. ports to be built and operated by U.S. citizens and to fly a U.S. flag * In
2012, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo's (D) request to waive the Jones Act flag
provision was approved under the Obama administration in an effort to alleviate
fuel shortages in the Northeast after Hurricane Sandy." -- Hmmm, Christie is
getting "McCained". When will Republicans "get it" that fawning over liberals
will get you plenty of kudos in the mainstream media, but expecting MSM support
and Democratic Party cooperation are not going to be there if you need anything
political. NY has a Democrat Gov so it got the waiver,

From the "half empty or half full glass" department - Online
headline/story: "Consumer Debt Hasn't Jumped This Much Since Before The
Recession * U.S. household debt rose in the latest quarter by the most since
before the recession, a sign that Americans may be nearing the end of a
multi-year belt-tightening trend, data from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York
showed on Tuesday." -- Take a deep breath and hold your nose for as long as you
can... What this means is that you have to be prepared for another bubble burst
"dunking" or an influx in political methane gas emissions. Credit jumps amidst
the declining household income trend just say that people are either running up
debt frivolously or because they really thought that new job/raise was going to
happen... but it didn't.

Online story: "Reid's Fine Foods employee D--- S--- initially asked if he
could help McCrory. After realizing he was speaking to the governor of North
Carolina, he reportedly told McCrory "thanks for nothing" and walked away. *
S--- told the paper the governor was upset with his dismissive comment and began
"yelling" at him, saying he shouldn't be addressed that way as a customer. Swope
said he doesn't fault the store for firing him, but told the newspaper he
thought it was "shocking" that the governor "had me excluded from the workplace
because I upset his feelings." -- Whatta (_*_)! Being an (_*_) on another
person's nickel should get you fired... regardless! Now, can you imagine the
mainstream media focus had the NC Governor been black or a Democrat, or if S----
did the same thing to Judas 00-Barnum?

Online story: "President Barack Obama is ordering a new round of fuel
efficiency standards for medium- and heavy-duty vehicles by March of 2016. He is
highlighting improvements already undertaken by companies such as Safeway to cut
back on gasoline costs for their fleet of trucks." -- I'm confused.... how can
Judas 00-Barnum claim that by requiring big trucks to get better gas mileage, it
will help us at the pump? First, semis use diesel which is used in few passenger
vehicles, but even more suspect is that even if gas usage should go down, new
taxes will be enacted to make up for fewer gallons being used, so how do we save
?

WTVM9 news story: "Construction on a new roundabout in Columbus is making
it difficult for some residents to maneuver in and around their homes on
Schatulga Road. A portion of Schatulga Road is blocked off while crews work to
improve traffic congestion along the busy roadway. * This is a problem that will
eventually go away, but for now drivers will have to deal with the inconvenience
of taking a detour to get home." -- "a problem that eventually will go away"?
Yeah... right.. interested in some swamplands?
---
Speaking of "roundabouts".. let's talk about the one being planned at Green
Island Drive & Cascade Road. First, any construction is going to be a
nightmare for residents in the main Green Island complex... as it is, there are
only two egress/ingress intersections for the whole area... disabling the main
one for any length of time will be a political fiasco, but the fiasco will be
worse AFTER it is finished. Has Mayor Obamalinson (or anyone in the traffic
division) even looked on the map to see the proximity this intersection has with
the River Road intersection? That's a state highway and controlled by a traffic
light which operates under state provisions. No amount of hopeful wishes will
stop the major traffic jams that will be crated when AM & PM rush hour
traffic "happens".

L-E story: "With the (Guantanamo) prison camps now in their 13th year, the
U.S. military is willing to allow some war-on-terror captives to have family
visits — if the International Red Cross can find a Caribbean country to host the
prisoners’ relatives between day trips to this remote U.S. Navy base." -- Good
grief! Conjugal visits for terrorists? Doesn't the world have enough of
terrorists already? I guess we're seeing the results of all the generals Judas
00-Barnum has fired in order to get some who will be Muslim terrorist friendly.
If the Red Cross does get involved, cut off your support for everything they do
other than blood donations.

L-E story: "Raising the minimum wage to $10.10 an hour could lift 900,000
Americans out of poverty but also cost a half million jobs, the nonpartisan
Congressional Budget Office said Tuesday in a report" -- Hmmm, let's parse this
economically.. First, Judas 00-Barnum's interest in the minimum wage raise is
purely political fodder for union support. Union contracts have clauses that
effect union wage ratios based on the minimum wage. Secondly.. if 900,000 people
get a $2.85 hourly wage, that's a total revenue increase of $2,565,000.00 per
hour gain. On the other hand, if 500,000 jobs are lost at $7.25 per hour, that's
a loss of $3,625.000.00 per hour loss. In effect, the non-partisan Congressional
Budget Office is saying that $1,060,000.00 an hour will be lost of taxable
income. That's a 52 week/40 hours per week loss of $2,204,800,000.00 revenue
taken out of the economy annually!

Online quote source: "“Accept responsibility for your life. Know that it is
you who will get you where you want to go, no one else.” - Les Brown " -- Hmmm,
another good tidbit that will never be seen in a welfare office or public school
text book.
---
Hmmm, those student loans, especially for non-professional careers, Judas
00-Barnum pushes so hard to spread around are becoming an albatross around the
necks of new home buyers once they've left school.
---
You know, it's easy to figure out why public sentiment and respect for the
majestic and powerful elephant is higher than the political party of which it
symbolizes . Unfortunately, it's even more obvious why the public sentiment is
higher for the jackass than for the political party it symbolizes.
---
Speaking of jackasses, Jesus may be the reason Democrats hate Christianity
. Huh? you say... Well, Jesus rode one pretty hard into Jerusalem and it doesn't
appear Democrats are ready to forgive Him.

Online story: "4 1/2 months have passed and Cover Oregon OObamaCRAP still
hasn't signed up any online insurance buyers. * The head of the Oregon
OObamaCRAP state exchange created a fake website to fake out the feds on the
progress that was being made. The damage before getting caught was
$160,000,000.00. Hmmm, this may be a better damage control expense plan than
getting the bill overturned by Republicans.
---
Good grief! The mainstream media is now claiming the unionization election
at VW in Tennessee was defeated because of racism and a second Civil War. Slob
Beckel truly revealed his second generational liberalist bias as a political
advisor and Fox "contributor". In fact, while he's never claimed to be "fair",
Beckel had blown his covert efforts to appear "balanced" as well.

With a tip from a fellow BCer: Important to see YouTube clip. Watch before
you post anymore cellphone pictures on FaceBook or other I-net sites

L-E story: " The Columbus area is expected to grow by 1,400 jobs this year
— virtually all in the private sector — as the city rides the “tailwind” created
by the improving Georgia and U.S. economies. * That, and the stark realization
that the local economy hinges on an evolving federal budget scenario, were major
points made Tuesday by University of Georgia economist Jeff Humphreys at an
economic outlook luncheon in Columbus." -- Hmmm, sounds suspiciously an
orchestrated political message for Mayor Obamalinson. Name one of the
predictions an UGA economist has picked correctly.. we only have to go back to
BRAC to verify their validity.
---
L-E story: " A vacant part-time Juvenile Court judgeship in the
Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit has drawn intense interest from attorneys
throughout the six-county region * There are 20 applicants for the
$55,000-per-year position vacated late last year by the retirement of Judge
Wayne Jernigan. * In addition to the salary the three-day-per-week job offers
health insurance benefits and a state retirement." --Yeah, a part time job with
full time benefits ..... great if you can get it, but don't look for one in the
private sector. As Mel Brooks might opine, "It's good to be the king".
---
Low...very low info voter's L-E "soundoff": "Had Michael Dunn not had that
gun with him he wouldn’t be in court being charged with murder. A 17-year-old
scared that man so bad he shot him." -- Hmm.. another half-empty-half full
situation.. How about if the teens didn't commit a crime, none would have ever
known Mr Dunn had a gun in his home?
---
Another low info voter's L-E "soundoff": "We’ve got engineers bagging
groceries, college grads and elderly parents living in our basements. Over $7
trillion in foreclosures and home equity loss, and Republicans still profess
there’s too much financial regulation." -- Hmmm you know, if we had a time
machine, we could go back and unplug Judas 00-Barnum's money printing machine,
defeat OObamaCRAP, and stop the Carter/Clinton & Dodd/Frank agenda of
destroying responsible mortgage qualifying. None of these were acts of
Republican involvement.
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “There is, I think, nothing in the world more
futile than the attempt to find out how a task should be done when one has not
yet decided what the task is.” — Alexander Meiklejohn, American educator
(1872-1964) -- Hmmm, reminds me of Democratic Party election strategy planning
meeting, "You won't know what's in store until you elect us".
---
I'm sorry I can't get the picture to "copy", but there's a picture in
today's L-E that was taken by Sergei Chuzavkov of the AP. It depicts an
anti-government protester firing his scoped rifle at riot police in Kiev. I
wanna know, did Sergei Chuzavkov believe the picture he took was more important
than saving the life of the man the shooter was aiming? Chuzavkov had a choice.
take a "shot" with his camera or stop a "shot" by the protester. Now, why did
the L-E print such blatant selfishness?
---
L-E story: " The nation’s shortage of execution drugs is becoming
increasingly acute as more compounding pharmacies conclude that supplying the
lethal chemicals is not worth the bad publicity and the legal and ethical
risks." -- Hey, publish the names of the companies that "feel" this way, and the
general public will show them what bad publicity will do to the company shares
of stock value!
---
Hey, you states that are getting cut off from execution drugs... I'll
donate as many bullets as you need to carry out those death sentences.
---
The Columbus L-E has a feature called "Looking Back | Fifty Years ago" -
Today's entry was this: "EDITOR’S NOTE: The Looking Back archive is temporarily
unavailable due to technical problems." Technical problem? Have they forgotten
how to walk down to "the Morgue" and scan and copy/print info? Reminds me of the
person standing outside a car with a dead battery in his/her key fob, and
frustrated because the door won't unlock. All the person had to do was insert
the key into the lock and open it manually. Good grief!
---
L-E headline: "COURT: MAN STABS WOMAN WITH MACHETE * Hooten allegedly
stabbed roommate in head, arm; neighbors say he has past of mental instability"
-- Hmmm... another jailbird with mental health problems.. Hey Mayor Obamalinson,
are you going to pay for this yourself because Sheriff Darr's budget is already
busted trying to keep in federal compliance?
---
L-E headline: "PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP CONFERENCE * Mayor to speak at
national conference in Dallas" -- Hey, Mayor Obamalinson... how many mental
health sessions at the jail could be funded from the money being 'spent' on your
vacation?
---
L-E story: " While the Muscogee County School District mulls the
superintendent’s proposal to save money and add more time for remediation and
enrichment by changing high school schedules from a modified block to a
seven-period day, across the Chattahoochee River in Phenix City, the Central
High School administration has requested to do the opposite." -- Good grief! Why
do we search outside for new superintendents, when it's obvious we'll never find
on that has the answers we're looking for. There are no new ideas out there, and
none of the past superintendents (since Shaw) have been empowered long enough
for any changes to show they actually work...

You know, I once got asked to leave a court room because I was wearing
Bermuda shorts. Why is a murder suspect allowed to wear a printed t-shirt into
the court?
