From the "I can't verify this, but it's funny and possible" department passed on by a fellow BCer: I was driving through northern Illinois last night listening to a call-in program on WGN in Chicago . People were calling in all upset about the goat's' head sent to Cubs owner Tom Rickett's at Wrigley Field. * Some guy called in from Indiana and said, "Why are you all so upset ‘cause someone sent a goat's head to Wrigley Field? Aren't you the guys that sent a horse's ass to the White House"?

In an interview with PBS, Hillsbury DOUGHgirl claims Bill created more jobs
than Reagan.. She's technically right..there were more jobs created in Bill's
terms than Reagans, BUT that's not the whole story..Reagan first had to overhaul
the damage of Democrats during the 70s before he could build. Reagan's growth of
jobs happened in only his last 5 years. Clinton, in the other hand , had little
to do with his record. Newt ran the Congress and US economy for Bill's last 6
years.
---
If the Hillsbury DOUGHgirl wants to compare Bill to Reagan, let's consider
that Reagan brought down the Berlin Wall and the Russian oligarchy while Clinton
brought down the White House integrity.

Online story: "A staff member for a Pennsylvania congressman was arrested
Friday after carrying a handgun and magazine into the Cannon House Office
building, U.S. Capitol Police said. * Ryan Shucard, press secretary for
Republican Rep. Tom Marino, was arrested Friday morning. * A spokesman for
Capitol Police said Shucard entered the Cannon building Friday morning with a
Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun and magazine that was discovered by a metal
detector. Shucard is charged with a carrying a pistol without a license, a
felony." -- You know... I hope this is contested as an afront to the 2nd
Amendment of our Constitution which Congress is sworn to uphold.
---
Online story: "President Barack Obama plans to sign an executive order
Monday that will ban job discrimination on the basis of gender identity and
sexual orientation among federal employees and contractors–and it will not
include an exemption for religious organizations." -- Excuse me, but how can you
"protect" one groups rights while trampling another's "?
---
Online story: "More previously secret files from President Bill Clinton’s
eight years in office went public Friday, offering new insight on when he turned
to first lady Hillary Clinton for advice, the pitfalls the president’s advisers
saw in some of his Supreme Court nominees and how a news story prompted the
president to express doubts about deadly bombings the CIA had pinned on Al Qaeda
leader Osama bin Laden. * After reading an April 1999 New York Times article
portraying as shaky the evidence that bin Laden was involved in the bombings of
U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania a year earlier, Clinton was so startled
that he scribbled a note to his national security adviser, Sandy Berger. *
“Sandy…If this article is right, the CIA sure overstated its case to me — what
are the facts? — BC,” Clinton wrote." -- You know.. this looks like Bill Clinton
believed the New York Times more than his chief security advisor and the CIA.
This shows that Clinton had the knowledge and ability to stop 9-11-01.... Wonder
if Hillsbury DOUGHgirl asked him "what difference WILL it make"?

From L-E commentary - headline/story: "John A. Tures: Fact-checking some
border crisis rhetoric * the president is following the law, which is what's
causing a strain. You see, Obama's following the "William Wilberforce
Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008," which means that
kids coming in deserve a fair hearing, to make sure they aren't victims of human
trafficking." -- You know..the law was humanely passed without anticipating the
Mosqued Man would issue a blanket invitation for children to come into the US
and be an "anchor baby" so the rest of their family could follow and stay
here.

According to "Climate Change" advocates.. “There was a new high-temperature
record set at the South Pole, of minus 53 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 47 degrees
Celsius).” Hmmm... how does this alarm so-called people of science? How many
less ice cubes will freeze at minus 53 degrees Fahrenheit than at minus 54
degrees Fahrenheit? Besides, at that temperature, a person's body
temperature standing next to the thermometer taking the reading would raise the
temperature.
---
Online story: "MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Forecasters say Mobile has broken a
128-year-old record with a low temperature of 64 degrees. * The National Weather
Service says the low Thursday morning was 1 degree cooler than the low of 65
degrees set in 1886. * The weather service says Huntsville tied a record low for
the date of 59 degrees set in 1945, and temperatures were in the mid- to upper
50s across north Alabama. * The unseasonably cool temperatures are supposed to
continue during the day with highs expected below 90 degrees across the state."
-- Hmmm...not a good week for Algore...
---
Online story: "It’s highly unusual for a high-ranking soldier, let alone a
high-ranking Marine, to publicly question White House and Pentagon policy. Yet
that’s exactly what four-star Gen. James Amos, Commandant of the Marine Corps,
did yesterday in Washington. * Speaking at the Brookings Institute Tuesday, Amos
said the Obama administration paved the way for the emergence of the Islamic
State of Syria and Iraq (ISIS) by completely withdrawing American troops in
2011." -- Obviously General Amos is prepared for taking "early retirement" as
have dozens of other military leaders displaced by the "Mosqued man". In unison,
stand and salute General Amos.
---
L-E headline: "Canadian tour bus rolls over in NY; 1 dead -- Speaking of
Canadian buses..where are the two campaign buses Where's Waldobama had built?
Wonder if this was the same kind of bus the Mosqued man threw all his folks
under?
---
L-E story: "DETROIT — Sen. Elizabeth Warren wowed a friendly crowd of
influential liberal activists Friday in Detroit, pledging to fight against
Republicans and the “sleazy lobbyists” she says have rigged the rules in
Washington and harmed the middle class." -- "pledging to fight against
Republicans and the “sleazy lobbyists” she says have rigged the rules in
Washington and harmed the middle class"? Hmmm, bet her speech writer is out job
hunting as we speak.. after all, what Democrat can run by separating Republicans
FROM the "sleazy lobbyists"?
---
L-E story: " A popular Colorado brand of marijuana-infused brownies and
other sweets was recalled Thursday amid concerns of contamination from
unsanitary equipment." -- Hmm, the USDA must be more powerful than the FDA in
Colorado.... and certainly cares more than the DOJ
---
L-E headline: "US states with higher minimum wages gain more jobs * BY
CHRISTOPHER S. RUGABER *
AP Economics Writer" -- What's obvious is that mainstream media is willing to project data that doesn't exist... but why would we expect anything differently.
AP Economics Writer" -- What's obvious is that mainstream media is willing to project data that doesn't exist... but why would we expect anything differently.
---
Why hasn't at least one mainstream media talk show brought Harry Reid onto
a show and asked him if he meant our "borders" or "boarders" being
secure...
---
L-E story: "Northside Medical Center in north Columbus has received state
approval to construct an emergency department and expand its intensive care
unit. * Columbus Regional Health, parent company of the hospital at 100 Frist
Court, off Veterans Parkway, said Friday it has received a “certificate of need”
from the Georgia Department of Community Health allowing the project" --
"received a "certificate of need" from the Georgia Department of Community
Health"? Good grief... there's some "panel" that has "the say-so" over what our
community "needs"? This sums up a great deal of the problems of high healthcare.
Healthcare is a business, and eliminating "competition" keeps costs to consumers
high. Can you imagine Walmart or CVS or McDonalds asking an outside panel as to
whether it thought Columbus consumers would like a more convenient location to
serve them? Can you imagine what the costs of goods would be if an
outside-the-community panel had a say so in the number of non-medical-retailers
who could vie for consumer dollars? Let hospitals practice free-enterprise..
it's good for hospitals and it's good for consumers.

L-E story: "BUFFALO, N.Y. — Rocker Jon Bon Jovi is part of a Toronto group
that has retained a banking firm and submitted paperwork expressing interest in
buying the Buffalo Bills, three people who have reviewed documents regarding the
sale process told The Associated Press on Friday" -- Hmmmm... Bon Jovi... you
know.. if the NFL awarded a SuperBowl to Buffalo, we'd probably get the best
halftime show ever.
---
L-E story: "BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — The NFL draft is leaving New York after
49 years. * NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said Thursday that the league has
narrowed down the location of the 2015 draft to Los Angeles or Chicago. The
event has been held in New York every year since 1965 and has been at Radio City
Music Hall since 2006." -- Musta been a tough call.. to leave NYC, for LA or
Chi-town, but there's no difference to the players.. they will still be safer
smashing each other on the field than they will be in walking across the stadium
parking lot to get to the stadium.
