I got to share an evening last night with Eddie Lowe.. Eddie Lowe... brother of Woodrow... star University of Alabama football player in his own right, current Mayor of Phenix City, AL, Christian, and.... just plain refreshing. Eddie spoke at the annual Sportsmans' Dinner at the First Baptist Church of Columbus. His candor and dedication to God have made him a great leader in his personal and political life. Unfortunately, I couldn't get him to commit to moving to Columbus and run for either our Mayor, or a seat on the School Board. At least I planted the seed.

Think about this...Hillewinsky was using her own personal e-mail to correspond as Secretary if State. In addition, she used a server network located in her home. Network Server's need management, and we know she, nor Bill for that matter, are qualified as IT experts. What this means is whoever managed her home network server had instant access to whatever Hillewinsky, and Bill for that matter, was receiving and transmitting to the world that had to be classified as either "secret or top secret".

HuffPOOPOO headline: "The Federal Government Has No Idea How Much Americans Owe On Student Loans" -- Hmmm.. and Obamageddon wants us to believe the economy is better, the unemployment numbers are dropping, and our grandchildren will benefit from him overloading the National Debt....

---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "The Problem Is Way Bigger Than Ferguson" -- Oooops, my bad.. thought the DOJ just owned up to its excessive in-house scandals.
---
Online story: "Lawyers for the parents of an unarmed, black 18-year-old who was fatally shot by a white police officer in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson said Thursday that they would file a civil lawsuit in Michael Brown's death." -- Ooops.. my bad...I thought the Brown family was going to sue Al Sharlatan. but it's Officer Wilson..

SPLOST vote "reminder" - billboards .. you've seen them.."Vote "YES for KIDS"... "There's No Time To Waste".. All that's missing is a picture of Nancy Pelosi saying, "Just pass it.. you can read it later".

Oh... for those voters who think the MCSD is interested in continuing the honore and legacy of William H. Spencer.. here is the site link that shows exactly how well the MCSD/MCSB has done this:
Do the math.. I'm sure the graduates who went to Spencer when Spencer was in charge are a lot more proficient in math than the 8% of the current Spencer High students.

Soapbox moment: For almost 15 years, I've had a storage unit on Whitesville Road. A local friend use to own it, but sold it to the current "Simply Self Storage" (http://www.simplyss.com/geor…/whitesville-road-self-storage/). Today, I went online to pay my monthly bill, and was hit with two charges that weren't suppose to be there.. one was an insurance charge, and the other was a $1:00 for paying online. Having addressed the insurance charge personally last month and being told that it was removed rankled me.. seeing the $1.00 Fee for the "opportunity" to pay online was a bit much. It hadn't been long ago that I stopped being sent a bill because Simply Self Storage charged a $1.00 for that (so called) "service". Now, Simply Self Storage wants to charge that same $1.00 for NOT sending that bill and for the convenience of paying online. Who are these people?
I went there.. there was the normal counter agent plus another stranger who I guess wanted to impress the young lady by interfering with my complaint. He later identified himself as the District Manager (though he didn't offer his name). He even ordered me off the premise as a trespasser, and refused to accept my credit card. Hmm, I thought.. me a trespasser? I've had my belongings stored here for 15 years, and am here to pay my bill, and get unwarranted charges removed. About that time, I took my phone out and told him I was going to record this conversation so if he didn't take my payment, I wouldn't get a late payment charge tomorrow. He called the police.. little did he know he was throwing Br'er Rabbit into the briarpatch. Two of Columbus' finest.. officers Morris and Lockhart showed up and things rapidly improved. The District Manager wised up just before they arrived and processed my credit card to pay for what I only owed.
Today, the Columbus area.. and the World.. will know that Simply Self Storage may not be the place they want to do business with.

Looking at video tape of Hillewinsky in 2007 shows how much she's let herself go in the past 8 years. Hmmm..now if we could get her to let go of the truth.

There are pictures on FaceBook of electric vehicles being used by GA Power. Guess GA Power is finding a way to dodge new state and local SPLOST sales taxes while running up electric costs so it can ask the PSC to let it charge more to other consumers.
---
From the "we hit a nerve" department - With the revealing of Hillewinsky's e-mail scandal, her response to get media to back off was, "Don't you want a woman president?" Hmm.. we already have a part time woman in the White House now.. what we need is a honest and God/Country loving president.

L-E headline/story: "Columbus High baseball coach Howard retires after 31 years * Bobby Howard, who has collected 12 Georgia High School Association state tiles and 819 wins in 31 years at Columbus High School, then told the 50-odd players he was retiring — effective immediately. * Howard did confirm his decision is not health related. * “He just said it was a personal decision on his part,” (MCSD Superintendent David) Lewis said. “There were things in his life that he felt that it was time to make that decision.” * Asked what those things are, Lewis said he doesn’t know. “That’s his business,” he said. “I respect that.” * But the superintendent emphasized the coach left on his own accord. * “He was not forced out,” Lewis said. “He was not asked to resign. This was personally and solely his decision.”" -- "personal decision on his part".. "left on his on accord" ... That sounds pretty much like a confrontation preceded this event.. Perhaps Bobby Howard had too much integrity to shill for the SPLOST money earmarked for the unneeded baseball field and non-existent CHS softball field.
Anyway, Thank You, Bobby!

From the "how obvious can BS get" department - L-E story:
Question: "Will the projects be prioritized?
Misleading answer: “As you may recall, the referendum language does not allow us to prioritize prior to the vote,” Lewis said." -- No, what's not allowed is to reword the ballot issue since it is already printed on the early ballots.
Question: "Will the SPLOST increase utility bills?"
Answer:“It’s only on retail sales,” Lewis said. - Doh! so the sales tax on our utilities sholdn't have any tax at all if this is true.
Question: "Will the citizens advisory board hold public forums after the SPLOST has been approved?"
Artful Dodge: “We will always have a SPLOST citizens committee to provide oversight over all SPLOST projects during that time period and beyond as necessary for bringing all the projects to fruition,” Lewis said" -- Make that a "non-answer"... "oversight is not a public forum.
Question: "Do you have a projected dollar amount that could be raised by increasing the millage rate over the same time period that the SPLOST would exist?
Mis-Answer: “No,” Lewis said. “I know we have about 1.37 mills (left under the 25-mill cap), and that would generate somewhere around $4 million, $4-6 million." -- Actually, there's 1.63 mills left and it would generate slightly over $7 million dollars annually at the current property evaluations.
---
L-E headline: "Millirons testifies she took records to give to mayor" -- Hmmm sorta enlightens us a bit on Mayor TomLYINGson's seemingly eternal attempt to purge Sheriff Darr from the Sheriff's office...
---
Jonathan Gruber stupid L-E "soundoff": "Sylvester Stallone never served in the military and neither did John Wayne. Both fake patriots." -- Hmmm.. and Obamageddon did serve? Of the three, only two have shown unwavering support for our soldiers.. it's a shame one of those is not the president.
---
From the L-E's "Today in history" feature: "In 1857, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Dred Scott v. Sandford that Scott, a slave, was not a U.S. citizen and could not sue for his freedom in federal court." -- This was justly considered the WORST decision ever made by the US Supreme Court... of course it will get a run-for-it's money if the current Supreme Court decides the federal government can subsidize OObamaCRAP in spite of the law which gives only states that option.
---
L-E headline: "Delta plane skids off runway at N.Y.’s LaGuardia Airport" -- Hmmm... maybe the pilot was distracted from his cellphone alert that his Delta stock would take a big hit when GA revoked the existing aviation fuel tax break that favors Delta with the lion's share of $23 Million dollars.
