Rory McIlroy...golf needs to tweak the way it ranks players. McIlroy is ranked the Number 1 player in the world, he's playing in the Masters, but walks down the fairways with less enthusiasm than a zombie. Whether the Number 1 ranked player is cruising at the top of his game, or struggling, I want to see him "grind", not look like he wishes he was somewhere else.

I mean, it still votes "Democrat" in spite of its history of unkept promises, and doesn't remember that Abraham Lincoln, Republican, was responsible for the ending of slavery. In fact, how come the black bloc vote still members slavery but doesn't remember Lincoln's party?

Soapbox moment: The N. Charleston police shooting - I am not exonerating the police officer.. but I do believe he deserves due process rather that a mainstream media lynching. It's not only about whether the shooting was justified or not, but why did the man run.. bolt out of his car.. ignore the Taser warnings, ignore the "get on the ground" orders?

If you had been the officer, and pulled some one over on a minor violation, and are told by the driver "he's buying but hasn't bought" the vehicle that has a broken taillight, and he bolts when you give him an opportunity.. you chase after him not knowing whether he's got a body stuffed in the trunk of the car he doesn't own..or what. There was nothing on the police dash cam that indicated the police officer was handling the situation any way but in the proper procedural manner.. so why would you not chase him down.. we read every day of a crime being committed by some one who has avoided capture and hasn't been picked up by an existing arrest warrant.. what was it that made the man flee.

Other than that, the police officer does need his feet held to the fire, and his action be judged on a higher plane than a civilian ...

Obamageddon and the Democratic Party, as witnessed by what's going on in the public school systems across America as well, want to eliminate as much parental influence as they can. If parents are relieved..or in most cases, deprived, of their ability to guide their children, more and more children will grow up dependent on the government. It only takes a couple or three generations of this practice to strip future parents of the understanding of their responsibility as a parent.. they will just not know any better.

Good grief.. I saw an ad in the L-E today for a local HVAC company that "bulleted" inclusions of the purchase of a new AC unit. It tells us the the price include: Installation with existing furnace * Up to 8 hours labor * Connect to existing ductwork * Connect to existing refrigerant piping * New PVC drain pipe * Power wiring * 8% sales tax" -- Hmm "8% sales tax"? Seems this company is jumping the gun on the recent SPLOST.. the sales tax does not kick back in until July 1st!
