Soapbox Moment: That unfortunate police shooting in
N. Charleston ... let's not let colors nor media frenzy distract justice..
nothing changes the facts but not all "facts" were recorded on video. What was
recorded was both condemning and revealing. . . The video reveals there were 8
shots fired.. the object on the ground at the feet of the officer was his Taser,
but it did not record the whole event before the shooting scene... the person
killed did have fear of arrest for failure to pay child support.... Reporters
"smell blood in the water". In fact.. the report I'm reading on line.. an AP one
credits 5 reporters "contributed". Only one is identified as actually being in
Charleston. There's one with no residential base revealed, but 3 of them are
listed as being from Charlotte, NC, Raleigh, NC, and Washington. Good grief,
they cannot add to anything.. including insight, to the matter, so why are they
even there? Let due process rule.. not mob mentality.

The media bias continues in Ferguson, MO..Online story: "Two black candidates were among three people elected to the Ferguson City Council Tuesday, tripling African-American representation in the St. Louis suburb where poor race relations have been a focal point since the August shooting death of an 18-year-old black by a white police officer. * The election means that half of the six-member city council in Ferguson, a town where two-thirds of the 21,000 residents are black, will now be African-American. The lone black incumbent councilman was not up for re-election. The mayor, who could break any tie votes, is white." -- Though only an excerpt is shown, the whole article did not differ.. Race was the focal point.. not the future of Ferguson. Color was the focal point..not the values or character of the candidates. This is not the change that actually brings the changes needed.

Online story: "(Bomber Brother 2) was convicted Wednesday on all 30 counts he faced for the twin bombings in April 2013 at the finish line of the race." -- 30 counts? What is wrong with the prosecutorial team in Boston? Let's hope the jury does not get distracted when the death penalty aspect comes up next by the prosecution not being able to focus on just one fact.. that Bomber Brother 2 did it, and Bomber Brother 2's lawyer admitted that Bomber Brother 2 did it. Taking all day to decide on 30 charges than just the 1 necessary aspect may make the jury antsy to just get out of there.

Online headline: "Iran won't sign deal unless one stipulation met" -- Good
grief.. why can't we get a Secretary of State more this John Wayne that Muppet
Man? Just leave a horse's head, ala "The Godfather", in the president of Iran's
bed.. decapitation is the one thing Islamists understand best.

Online headline: "Barry Manilow secretly weds his manager" -- Whoa! And we
all thought it was Lola at the Copa that got to him...
---
Online headline: "4 women who could boot Jackson from $20 bill named" --
Good grief... why not just keep Jackson on the $20.00 bill, and create a $19.99
one to put a woman's face on?
---
Online story: "Hillary Clinton has yet to announce a presidential campaign
but all signs point to a White House run. * According to The Washington Post,
the former secretary of state just hired a longtime Google executive to oversee
the tech side of her likely presidential campaign." -- Hired a Google executive?
Why not.. obviously Hillewinsky can hide no secrets from Google so why not hire
Google to protect those from the Benghazi investigation...
---
L-E story: "Two of the three finalists to be Columbus State University's
next president are finalists elsewhere." -- Good grief.. can you say, "Deja Vu"?
That's exactly how we ended up with the 3rd best choice from the finalists for
MCSD Superintendent.
---
Remember all that info I mentioned about the MCSD not having a true
maintenance budget to keep our schools in tolerable condition? Well, rumor has
it a classroom in one of the above Macon Road divide has been without air
conditioning since mid-March (before Spring Break). Yesterday, it was in the
90's, and all the teacher could tell the students was that a new one has been
finally approved, but no date has been inked in as to when it will get done.
Hmm.. the MCSD?MCSB can set aside $312.00 a square foot for a wrestling
building, but won't "Cool Our Kids" in the classroom.

Listening to Al(_*_)n Colmes defend Bowe Bergd(_*_)l and Obamageddon on Fox
News just makes you shake your head at why Fox gives him any airtime. We already
know how misinformed liberals are and we don't need additional confirmation
coming out of Colmes' mouth.

Online story: "Georgia saw a 9 percent year-to-year jump in tax revenues
last month, Gov. Nathan Deal’s office announced on Tuesday. * The state
collected $1.43 billion in net tax revenues in March. That is up $118.5 million
from March 2014, according to the governor’s office." -- Interesting... very
interesting.. especially if Columbus contributed to this increase since the last
2009 SPLAT tax was removed during the Jan-March period If there is a boost, then
it can be attributable to about $3 MILLION per month remaining in consumer
pockets to spend as they please rather than being socked away into MCSD SPLAT
coffers.

Online headline: "Friends, family rally for leniency for convicted
educators in Atlanta Public Schoolscheating scandal" -- Their point! Let's
consider that those cheaters only got convicted on what the DA could prove they
were doing, but there's no way to examine the depth of the cheating scandal.
Absolutely No Leniency! ... and if anyone proclaims they did it "for the kids"
then the death penalty should be invoked!

L-E's "Thought for Today": “The ultimate test of a moral society is the
kind of world that it leaves to its children.” — Dietrich Bonhoeffer
(1906-1945)." -- Hmmm.. I'd love to be "a fly on the wall" of the first home
Obamageddon's children move into following their departure from the White
House/Air Force 1 environment.. just the disillusionment of realizing their Dad
lied to them, too, will be Obamageddon's legacy to his children.

L-E headline: "Senate creating secret encyclopedia of U.S. spy programs *
By KEN DILANIAN * AP Intelligence Writer" -- "secret encyclopedia"? "AP
Intelligence Writer... hmmm.. now we know how oxymorons are born.

L-E story: " Electric
car maker Tesla Motors is going after mainstream luxury car buyers by adding
all-wheel-drive and more range and power to the base version of its only model.
* But the added features at the low end of the Model S
lineup will come with about a 7 percent price increase, to $75,000 for those
buying the cars. The base lease price will rise to $838 per month from $796 for
12,000 miles per year." -- Let's parse this a bit.. I'm afraid those
envoronmental libs are not going to like that driving a Tesla
doesn't "save" anything.. a gas driven luxury car can be
had for $500.00 a month, and if you drive 12,000 miles at 20 MPG, that's
$1,500.00 fuel cost at $2.50 a gallon. So, $500.00 plus $125.00 bucks a month
for gas already beats the Tesla lease by $213.00 a month plus, you haven't even
seen your electric power bill and you have been somewhat tethered to your local
area by battery limitations.
