Online story: "Some police officers involved in tracking down the Boston Marathon bombers days after the attacks showed a lack of "weapons discipline" during a firefight with the brothers and in the eventual capture of one of them, resulting in dangerous crossfire, according to a report released Friday." -- Good grief.. if there is any disciplining that these officers need, it's spending more time on the practice range upgrading their aiming skills!

Interesting thing found while cruising news sites: "Next week, Ferguson residents will vote for three new city council members. As of now, five of the city's six council members are white. Sixty-seven percent of Ferguson's residents are black. Only two African-Americans have ever served on the council in the city's entire history, according to Fusion." -- I note that there's is no mention of the Council members' party affiliation... hmmm... knowing mainstream media's penchant for labeling Republicans in such cases, coupled with a 2/3rds black population, my guess is all of the Ferguson Council , plus the mayor, are Democrats...

For those who might not get my "HuffPOOPOO" byline for crappie stories, the following "link" pretty well defines "HuffPOOPOO"...

Online story: "A State Department official dismissed a plea Friday from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the Iran nuclear agreement include clear recognition of his nation's "right to exist," declaring negotiations are "only about the nuclear issue." -- You know, mainstream media is so accustomed for patting Democrats on the back whenever they negotiate with Republicans to chip away at morals issues, that mainstream media doesn't understand what the Democrat entourage lost negotiating with Iran.

Once again.. why does the American Jewish community support Democrats?

Online story: "Easter Sunday is sort of like the Super Bowl for preachers. * It’s all but guaranteed the pews will be packed and that presented a challenge to Roderick Richardson, the pastor of The Word Center Church in Jackson, Miss. * The non-denominational church has a membership of about 1,200 people – but only 275 can fit in the sanctuary. And the preacher estimated they could have as many as 1,500 people show up for Easter Sunday. * So last January Pastor Richardson started scouting out a new location for his growing church. And it wasn’t long before he found a solution – a conference center run by the University of Mississippi Medical Center. * “They were afraid IHL might come and say something about a church having a service (in their facility),” the pastor said. IHL is also known as the State Institutions of Higher Learning, the agency that oversees Mississippi’s eight public institutions of higher learning. * Marc Rolph, a spokesman for UMMC, confirmed they canceled the church’s contract – a week and two days before Easter Sunday. * He denied it had anything to do with the church being a church. He said the booking should never have been made in the first place because they only allow their facilities to be used by health-related organizations. * “The event is not health related and thus is not compliant with our policy,” Rolph said." -- First, I want to make perfectly clear that this hospital is affiliated with Ole Miss, not Mississippi State. Good grief, how can a hospital spokesperson say that prayer is not affiliated with healing! Jesus Christ is "the Great Healer". This is one pathetic move by the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC)!

Personal note: In January of 1966, I sustained an elbow to my forehead during basketball practice at Mississippi State. I was put in the MSU Clinic overnight for observation.. X-rays were taken as a precautionary move. Two days later the swelling went down, and an indentation was seeable above my right eye. I came back to Columbus, saw world acclaimed surgeon Dr. Louis Hazouri, who had me in his operating theater the next morning correcting a fractured super-orbital bone (the upper eye socket) and repairing the upper sinus cavities. The super-orbital bone is purportedly the hardest bone in the body to break, and mine was shattered, so the Doctor put in a new space-age metal plate (Tantalum). A week after Ieft the hospital, I got a call from the UMMC saying that they had reviewed the X-rays sent them by the MSU clinic, and declared that there was nothing wrong with the area of contact. Since then, I always check my doctors out to make sure they weren't trained at the UMMC.

Anybody know where I can find a Muslim owned bakery/sandwich shop? I want to order a couple of BLT's with extra bacon.. now, do you think Pric Holder would assist me in getting them?

---
If I owned a deli/sandwich shop, I'd rather fight for my religious rights to hire people who will handle bacon for the majority of my customers, than fire a newly hire Muslim who then tells me hr/she refuses to handle bacon.

Random thought: So Holder & Obamageddon want to prosecute Senator Menendez, but not Lois Lerner... interesting..

From a "Creative Loafing Atlanta" commentary: "THE "UNSUNG HERO" AWARD * Many bills don't make headlines, but that doesn't mean they lack merit or importance. Case in point:(Sen. Nan) Orrock's (D-Atlanta) Senate Bill 44 would've let immigrant students who are protected from deportation under Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals — and who already have work authorization — to qualify for in-state tuition. If passed, the measure would've not only helped some Georgians, but also improved the economy through providing education to intelligent people who might not otherwise be able to afford college. Or who might head elsewhere to receive a diploma in a more welcoming state. The bill had no shot of passing due to Republicans' anti-immigration politics. Orrock probably knew that. Yet she introduced it anyway. She deserves to be commended for offering a solution to an actual problem, which, as we all know, is uncommon. And for legislating for the right causes, no matter the odds." -- Good grief.. in-state tuition for illegals would improve the economy? We need a law that determines whether LEGALS in GA are qualified to serve GA's legal citizens! Make a point to look up Orrock's oppentent in the next election and give him/her a hand.

Yesterday was "Good Friday"... our church offices were closed in observance, in reverence.. the MCSD ignored it.

Jonathan Gruber double-extra stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": " After researching it, I can’t find a single constitutional law that President Obama has violated or broken. George W. Bush on the other hand … wow, what a train wreck." "after researching it"? We can only surmise that his/her research was restricted to reading the back of a Kool-Aid package and Michelle Obama's school lunch menus.

---
Jonathan Gruber stupid LIV's L-E "soundoff": " You Christians are just standing by passively and letting the criminals take your country away from you." -- Whoa... wait a minute.. we Christians are trying to fight back within the law.. unfortunately, we can't count on the DOJ, the Court systems, the Democratic Party nor mainstream media for help...
---
From the L-E's "Looking back | 50 Years Ago Today April 4, 1965: "U.S. Rules Georgia Must Mix Teachers a federal official has ruled that Georgia schools will not be in full compliance with the U.s. Civil rights act until both faculties and student bodies are desegregated." -- Amazing.. the teacher ratio in MCSD today is about 2/3rds white....and the MCSD still gets the black bloc vote of SPLOSTs
---
L-E's "Online comment of the day: “I only put out garbage every 1.5 to 2 weeks anyway. It is a good idea. I do think that next time we have to replace trucks for yard waste pick up, we should get at least 1 truck with the big vacuum hose to get leaves, etc. They used them when I was in Raleigh, NC and all you do is rake the leaves, etc to the side of the road and it comes by and sucks it all up.” — From “Tom N Jerry” on “Mayor’s budget calls for once-a-week garbage pickup” -- "Tom N Jerry"? Sounds more like something Mayor TOM-lyingson Gerrymander sent in.. the city does not allow people to rake their leaves into the gutters because if it rains, the leaves wash into the sewer overflow lines and block water to flood levels in the neighborhoods.

I was thinking.. "Face Time" on cellphones is such a blessing to grandparents.. even living across town or across the country increases time spent with our grandchildren. I also think back 50 years or so ago when AT&T had "face time" technology in its repertoire of tricks, and dropped the ball by not pursuing it to become a household staple.

L-E headline/story: "Georgia Senate breaks own rules to pass Mercedes-Benz tax break * (Mercedes-Benz) leases luxury cars to many of its headquarters employees, and those employees would normally have to pay car taxes. * A plan that emerged after 10 p.m. Thursday would exempt those Mercedes-Benz employees from paying about $1.3 million in annual state and local car taxes. " -- Good grief.. what month is this. "Republicans-Shoot-Themselves-in-both-Feet"? The MCSD should pass a rule of its own.. no teachers/administrators/parents can park their tax-free Mecedes-Benzs on MCSD property!
---
L-E headline: "Linwood Cemetery chapel to re-enact Battle of Columbus for Easter service" -- To be honest.. I'd prefer that Linwood focus on the life and promises of Jesus than what happened during the Civil War.

Tonight's Wisconsin-Kentucky game is definitely "the game" of the 2015 NCAA season.. two really good teams face off in the season making game for both teams.. the winner will be the best team regardless of the finals outcome.. I cannot be disappointed in which team wins (but I hope both teams are "on" tonight), but I lean to pull for Kentucky to have an undefeated season.. such are so special.
---
L-E's "Social media update": " Mayor Teresa Tominson pledged a $1 million estate gift to her alma mater Sweet Briar College in Virginia. The school recently announced it was considering shutting down due to dwindling enrollment, but major donations are helping as they sort out the future of the school. “I sincerely hope the Sweet Briar supporters are able to save that incredible institution,” wrote one L-E Facebook fan after the donation was announced. “Mayor Tomlinson again shows she is committed to supporting organizations that invest in the vision of a better future. Way to go Mayor Tomlinson!” -- Has Mayor TomLYINGson hired ex White House press agents Robert Gibbs or Jay Carney ? If she was truly philanthropically committed, she could go ahead and send her $1,000.000.00 today to help Sweet Briar remain viable.

You know.. some of the land developers in the South Columbus area ought to sue the MCSD for diminishing their developments. MCSD made such outrageous claims about the destructive time bomb of "plastic soil", home buyers will probably shy away from buying new or established homes there.
