L-E headline: "Courtney Lockhart sentenced to death for murder of Auburn student Lauren Burk" -- May we see it in our lifetimes!
---
Online headline/story: "Two US Airmen Killed in Frankfurt Airport Shooting * Boris Rhein, the top security official in the German state of Hesse where the shooting took place, identified the shooter as a 21-year-old from Kosovo. Family members in Kosovo described the suspect as a devout Muslim, who was born and raised in Germany and worked at the airport. * In Washington, President Barack Obama promised to "spare no effort" in investigating the slayings. * "I'm saddened and I'm outraged by this attack," he said." -- The White House must have stopped serving coffee and removed all the rose bushes from the garden, and Denmark must be "rat free", because it doesn't appear that Emporer Imam-a knows how to recognize anything by it's smell... at least not that he admit.
---
I understand why a law firm, even a 1-man/2-man firm charges $250-$300.00 per hour as the firm has fixed expenses that need to be covered, but I don't know why a bank has to pay an in-house lawyer that much or more per hour when the bank, even one swimming in legal problems, is also paying all the expenses as well.
---
Online story: " Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick was a no-show at a charity event Monday in Philadelphia. Vick was to take part in an event called, “What It Takes,” a charity... -- Hmmm...Vick must have found out he was suppose to "give" rather than personally 'take' something
---
On the other hand, Vick signed a $20Million contract on Tuesday...even Wimpy used to promise to pay Popeye on Tuesday if he'd buy him a hamburger on Monday.
---
Online headline: "True Jobless Rate Still a Confusion for Many" -- "Many" must be the new Secret Service 'code name' for Washington DUMB&DUMBERats.
---
It's pitiful when an attorney claims his client wasn't given advanced warnings of an investigative audit so it wasn't fair.
---
L-E "head-lie": "Democrats counter Gov. Deal’s HOPE cuts plan " -- It ain't a counter offer/deal UNLESS you can deliver it. The GA DUMB&DUMBERats are shooting blanks.
---
I sincerely hope Council can hire a new Parks&REC director for less than Tony Adam's last salary. I'd hate for Council to pay someone with less time on job more money and give Adam's defense some sort of racially biased angle to divert attention to what went on.
---
Speaking of the Parks&REC case, why has not the bank employee who authorized the account using the City's tax exemption number not been identified? Obviously Adam's had no document from the City to authorize it, or close it later.
---
L-E story: " In Libya, meanwhile, the motley alliance of poorly armed civilians and military defectors fighting to end Gadhafi’s 42-year rule faced new attacks, driving off an assault on the eastern town of Brega, an oil terminal. " -- Gaddafy...the most current poster child for making our forefathers look even more brilliant for writing the Second Amendment.
---
Have you noticed that liberal media spells the Libyan despot's name differently than conservative news media? If the liberals had their way, we'd have had "Buffi, the Vampire Slayer".
---
L-E headline/story: "Convicted RFK killer Sirhan again denied parole * His attorney, William Pepper, believes a second gunman shot Kennedy. He’s also suggested that Sirhan was brainwashed. But he wasn’t allowed to present evidence about Sirhan’s guilt or innocence. " -- Nearly 43 years have passed that we have housed, fed, 'lawyered' and sustained his life...why wasn't he drawn-and-quartered in a public execution? Oh, yeah..why are we supplying him with a lawyer complaing he wasn't given a chance to present any evidence about Sirhan's guilt? This is one less than brilliant lawyer (other than his milking a salary out of us).
---
Surely Wisconsin has laws making representatives who miss so many sessions subject to dismissal, and replacement.
---
L-E story: " The downtown Columbus campus of credit-card processor TSYS has been recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for its energy efficiency. * The corporate headquarters recently received the agency’s “Energy Star” seal of approval, which means the building uses 35 percent less energy than the average structure, while releasing 35 percent less dioxide into the air." -- Wanna bet that GA Power Co uses this article to ask the PSC for another rate increase because TSYS is using less energy?
