Stupefying (maybe a worse "NPR Moment" than the latest "NPR Moment") online headline/story: "'Sex talk' in U.N., compliments of Nat'l Educ. Assoc. * The two-week annual gathering of the United Nation's Commission on the Status of Women recently concluded in New York City. * ..one of the side events there included a panel discussion where Diane Schneider, a representative with the National Education Association (NEA), said that graphic sex education needs to be taught in the classroom. * Speaking to a panel on combating "homophobia" and "transphobia," Schneider stated: "Oral sex, masturbation, and orgasms need to be taught in education." According to Ruse, the NEA representative did not stop there.* She went on to say that comprehensive sex education is -- quote - 'the only way to combat heterosexism and gender conformity,'" (Austin Ruse, president of the Catholic Family & Human Rights Institute) reports. "She said that 'gender identity expression' and sexual orientation are a spectrum, and...that those [who are] opposed to homosexuality are stuck -- quote -- 'in a binary box that religion and family create.'"

The NEA...this is the organization that represents most of the teachers of our children and wants to have bloc bargaining power with our government. Looks like we need a Constitutional Amendment separating "NEA and state" more than the "church and state".
Go, Wisconsin Governor Walker!

Online headline: "Unions Target Wis. Senators for Recall" -- How soon they forget...just last November, the taxpayers 'recalled' the Union backed representatives.
---
Online "Headlie": "GOP Conservatives Balk at Stopgap Spending Bill" -- "Balk"? Headline should read, "GOP Conservatives Stand Strong Against Wasteful Government Spending".
---
Online headline: "Hawaii Becomes First State With $4 Gas Average" -- Why does this seem like a surprise to anyone? Hawaii 'gave us' Emperor Imam-a and the nation has had its worst case of 'gas' in history!
---
From the "suspicions confirmed" department: From online story: "Many consumers report that the CFL (Compact Fluorescent Lightbulb) don't last nearly as long as advertised, and there are major concerns about mercury toxicity from discarded CFLs." -- Hmmm, and we thought Algore was hiding because of his Global Warming 'shootdown', but maybe it's because of his push for CFLs.
---
L-E headline: "Defendant wants murder case dismissed" -- DOH!
---
L-E headline/story: "Fort won’t become a charter school *School may instead pursue becoming a magnet school * (Superintendent Susan) Andrews said that by an overwhelming vote, the faculty at Fort has decided to pursue becoming a magnet school to attract high-performing students." -- " the faculty at Fort has decided to pursue becoming a magnet school to attract high-performing students"? The way to get 'high-performing (Middle School) students" is for elementary schools to teach all students to be high performing regardless of the school they attend.
---
L-E headline: "It’s the law (Section 19-36 ): Doing business with or for the city requires a license" -- On the converse, if a business goes out of its way NOT to do business with or for the government, does a business NEED a license?
---
AFLAC did right, but where are the Hollywood and mainstream media PC Police and "The View" ladies on Gilbert Gottfried and 50 Cents?
---
L-E headline: "Georgia court hears arguments on hotel taxes" -- To me, it all boils down to whether the online travel companies paid the hotel/motel room taxes when they were purchased, and whether the online travel companies are sending in any sales taxes they collect from their customers. If the hotel/motel tax was collected at the time the online travel companies bought them, then that should be the end of it as citizens should not be taxed on taxes.
---
L-E story from the "AP": "WASHINGTON — Two years into its pledge to improve government transparency, the Obama administration took action on fewer requests for federal records from citizens, journalists, companies and others last year even as significantly more people asked for information" -- Don't you love it when libs eat their own?
---
Everyone be on your alert. I noted earlier in the year that one car dealer was advertising it would knock the sales tax of 7% off the purchase price of a car bought that weekend, but yesterday, at another dealer, I was quoted a price on a new car and the tax was quoted at 7% also. If dealers are counting on you not to check their math, you can bet they'll collect that extra 1% sales tax, and it will not be reported to the state. I didn't buy it.

If you didn't notice it at first, the biggest section in the L-E today is the "Legals Section". It's 12 pages (usually it's 10), while Sections A & B are 10 each.
