Online story: "Malaysia doesn't care if you were "Born This Way" — they just don't want to hear about it. In fact, dozens of radio stations in the Muslim-majority country have censored the lyrics to Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" and its pro-acceptance message. In place of the line "No matter gay, straight or bi, lesbian, transgendered life, I'm on the right track, baby," they've subbed in gargled vocals. AMP Radio Networks, which operates in Malaysia, says the lyrics were censored because they "may be considered as offensive when viewed against Malaysia's social and religious observances." -- Liberals! You have been challenged to defend your beliefs. Call to see if you qualify for a one-way ticket to there.

Online headline: "Operation Odyssey Dawn: U.S. Launches Military Strikes In Libya" -- MSNBC, CNN, and Moving on blame Bush.
---
"Operation Odyssey Dawn". Hmmm, sounds like a remake of a movie starring Patrick Swayze?
---
Online story: "WASHINGTON --U.S. Ambassador to Mexico Carlos Pascual, who criticized his host government's handling of the drug problem in a cable divulged by the WikiLeaks website, has resigned, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Saturday." -- Hmmmm, just proves the old adage, "The truth will set you free.".

L-E "headlie": "CENSUS DATA SHOW HOUSING SURGE IN COLUMBUS AREA" --Muscogee County housing occupancy showed that in the last 10 years there are still fewer occupied housing units than were already available in Muscogee County 10 years ago , meaning that if no housing units were built here after 2000, there'd still be housing units unoccupied. (76,182 were built by 2000, and only 74,081 were occupied in 2010; this is ominous)

L-E headline: "Muscogee County School District counselors, administrators learn how to stop bullying * Conference on bullying teaches school officials types of bullying, preventative measures" -- We taxpayers are having to foot the bill for a conference on bullying? How sheltered a life did the entire MCSD administrative/teachers live? I learned how to face bullying when a was about 6 from my Dad and the YMCA. I was shown the proper way to clinch my fist and how to apply it to a bully's nose. No more bullying.

From the City Manager's "agenda": "10-YEAR PLAN TO END HOMELESSNESS IMPLEMENTATION: Authorization is requested to enter into an agreement with the Chattahoochee Valley United Way Agency for the implementation of the city’s 10 Year Plan to End Homelessness from CDBG Entitlement Funds." -- Excuse me, but shouldn't this be tabled until the new 'tramp' law is implemented...after all, there may not be any homeless once the law becomes enforced and 'they' are moved to an incarceration facility?
---
Another item from the City Manager's "agenda": "DIESEL EMISSIONS REDUCTION ACT GRANT: Authorization is requested to enter in to an agreement with University of Georgia and if approved, accept a grant for up to $ 271,500 from the Southeast Diesel Collaborative via the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. " -- Other than a obvious behind-the-back maneuver to abuse taxpayer dollars, what exactly is this suppose to accomplish?

L-E headline: "Obama’s Latin America message drowned out * President praises Brazil on energy, education, trade " -- DOH! The bottom line is Emperor Imam-a is in Rio on Spring Break.
---
L-E headline: "CSU hosts scrimmage today between pro, college teams * Atlanta Beat to play Florida State" -- Excuse me, but how can the NCAA allow this? Wouldn't this be considered a 'try-out' making all the college kids ineligible for further NCAA participation? Does the NCAA allow college football/basketball players to 'play' with the pros? I remember when going on recruiting trips to colleges when, as a high school athlete, no college could even arrange a 'try-out' practice with the college players.

Froma Harrop actually has a point in her L-E column today, but she conveniently stopped short of making the important one. She states that with corporations donating to LA Governor Jindal's wife's 'foundation', " Mrs. Jindal travels the state as lady bountiful, presenting free equipment at schools and gathering flattering news coverage at the stops. No doubt many beneficiaries see these gifts as the product of the Jindals’ personal beneficence. " -- At least the funds come out of the private sector, BUT what is worse is Congeressperson doing the same thing using "earmarks" (tax dollars) in the same way. A good, no, GREAT EXAMPLE of abuse is Congressman Bishop always being present to present a "personal check (signed by a government person)" like he personally reached into his own pocket to make a personal donation.
