Online headline: "Obama Strongly Defends US Military Action in Libya" -- Ooops, my bad. Thought someone was jumping the gun on an April Fool's joke; guess it's just an everyday joke.

L-E headline/story: Muscogee County School Board: Special meeting called to discuss issuing sales tax bonds * “This way we don’t have to wait for the money to be collected and we can go ahead and start construction,” said school board chair Cathy Williams. * (Patricia Hugley) Green said that collections for the tax have gone well. * “I think we’ll be all right,” she said. -- While it's easy to say/think that the MCSD has it's best management team since the MCSD Board became elected, we have to really be watching them on being 'too quick on the draw' in committing SPLOST receipts before they materialize. The MCSD SPLOST receipts parallel the original City LOST tax rate, and that has already shown it will not even be close to the $225,000,000.00 the MCSD thinks it will generate before the 5 year collection 'window' closes, and I do not think the voters will give the MCSD another SPLOST to make up the difference.

Since Emperor Imam-a is so convinced that the French way is decidedly better than the American way, you'd think he'd figure out that the French handed Viet Nam off to the US, and now it is recorded only as an American blunder.

L-E headline: "Obama defends action in Libya" -- Yep, and he also defends HELL-thScare, Border security, and Michelle's Garden being able to feed the world. You'd think he'd learn that neither the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or more times is not 'the charm' when you are flat wrong.

L-E's "Quotable": “A nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people.” John F. Kennedy 35th U.S. president (1917-1963) -- True, it's bad enough when a government wants to muffle the media, and it's even worse when some media facets want to muffle other media.

It's becoming more evident that the NIT acronym should be changed from "National Invitational Tournament" to "Non Invited Teams" .

I found out something new this morning...George Cliff is numerically younger than me...

At least the new L-E format is more truthful...today, all the foreclosures are included in one section rather than scattered throughout the paper. When the Leagls Section is the smallest one Tuesday, then we'll know the economy is actually improving.

If the Judicial Qualifications Commission wants to be effective, it should investigate the Court of Appeals, and find out how judges there can order a retrial on the basis of 'ineffective assistance of counsel".

This will be a daily inclusion of the Breakfast Club: Diane Schneider, a representative with the National Education Association (NEA), said that graphic sex education needs to be taught in the classroom. * "She said that 'gender identity expression' and sexual orientation are a spectrum, and...that those [who are] opposed to homosexuality are stuck -- quote -- 'in a binary box that religion and family create.' -- This should be sent to every teacher in every school district, and they should be asked to either endorse it, demand Ms Schneider be fired, or drop their NEA membership.
