Online headline: "A senior Secret Service agent assigned to the security detail for President Obama was recently found dead in his car in Washington. * Prieto's apparent cause of death was carbon monoxide poisoning. He was found in his car with the engine running. His death was being investigated by Metropolitan Police in Washington and the medical examiner's office." -- Aside from the fact that today's vehicles give off too little CO2 (unless Prieto secretly kept a "clunker") for such use, were any of the Clintons or Rahm Emanuel in town?

---

HuffPost headline: "Michael Bloomberg Endorses Obama For Reelection" -- Whew! After dissing potUS Oblunder earlier this week, I thought he was going to endorse Romney.

---

Online headline: "Lance Armstrong Olympic Medal: IOC Opens Doping Inquiry Into Cycling Bronze From 2000 Games" -- He came in third... I'd be investigating the Gold and Silver medal winners.

---

Online headline: "Consumer Confidence Surges To Highest Level Since Feb. 2008" -- Could it simply be the momentum of a Romney win?

---

Online story: "Initial claims for state unemployment benefits dropped 9,000 to a seasonally adjusted 363,000, the Labor Department said on Thursday. That was below the median forecast in a Reuters poll of 370,000.

An analyst from the department said New Jersey and Washington, D.C., did not turn in data due to the mammoth storm Sandy, which hit the Northeast earlier this week. The Labor Department estimated results for the state and for the nation's capital." -- Hmmm, 'estimates' from two of the most DIM&DUMBERat influenced areas of the country, and the number was ONLY 9,000 less than expected?

The new Lexus looks like it could be the "Edsel" of the 21st Century.

---

potUS Oblunder is out pushing his "new" plan for a second term. Trouble is, the new plan is the same as his old one. The jobs he's creating are more government jobs, his "American" energy is still the failed/failing green energy (not the oil we need), and his more education plans just create more grads with useless degrees, and more loan debt. Some plan.. not!

I have a hard time watching Walmart advertise buying a large screen TV on Lay-A-Way. By the time you pay it off in 3 months or so, the set you picked out will be selling for 25-30% less than what you contracted for in the beginning. Better to just save the money for one and get it for less when you've saved enough.

What do we really need.. a Tsar of Business (we already have a Secretary of Commerce), or a president who actually knows about business?

---

John Lewis, D-GA, must feel his life has been a failure. For 50+years he's campaigned for civil rights, but can't seem to find any improvements he can point to with pride.

---

If potUS Oblunder was really sincere in wanting transparency, he'd change his campaign slogan from "Forward" to "Forewarned"

---

Looks like Burger King is on a kick of naming sandwiches after celebrities. Guess the "Angry Whopper' is named for potUS Oblunder.
---

Between being asked not to come to New York City, and being welcomed to New Jersey, every one will see that whether or not potUS Oblunder shows up if not, nothing gets done anyway.

---

If, as potUS Oblunder is claiming, getting government out of the way will speed up Hurricane Sandy recovery, why wouldn't getting government out of the way every day work better than what DIM&DUMBERats advocate?

---

potUS Oblunder tells college students that he stopped the banks from overcharging on student loans. So instead, they get government loans for inconsequential degrees that don't have career paths which the students can get jobs to pay the loans off.

The latest from barackobama.com: "
http://my.barackobama.com/Republican-Women-For-Obama" -- Talk about the 'joke of the day' for the late night TV hosts!

---

L-E headline: "Carver Lauded for Improving Test Scores" -- That is good news, even if it's been open on for the current half-semester. This also would be a good time then to highlight one of Dr. Carver's most enlightened quotes as the first thing students see when they enter the front door: "Ninety-nine percent of the failures come from people who have the habit of making excuses." - George Washington Carver

---

Liberal's L-E "soundoff": "Hey, gun nuts -- stop talking about your precious toys. During the Obama administration more guns have been made and sold than ever before. Obama hasn't tried to stop or control it. Grow up." -- Ignorance is its own punishment, but stupidity... you just can't fix it. More guns have been 'made and sold' BECAUSE of potUS Oblunder!

---

L-E story: "San Francisco - Death penalty o[pponents in California are trying a new argument this year: Abolish capital punishment because the perpetually cash-strapped state just can't afford it. * Proponents of Proposition 34 say incarceration and litigation are too high for too little return." -- Ron White is so right... you REALLY can't fix stupid; it's even tough to stop or slow it down! What do these people feel is the answer... just let'em loose? No, the answer is to limit appeals to 2 or 3 years, and then execute the sentence if the criminals have not proven themselves innocent of those charges.

---

As seen in the L-E: "Looking back * 50 yuears ago today, November 2, 1962 * Due to technical problems with pour archives, Looking Back is temporarily unavailable." -- Hmmm, that's not the worst of L-E problems... looking past their collective noses is one that, unfortunately, is not a temporary problem.

---

Open-ended tunnels are going to be added to the RiverWalk? The sometimes "UnderRiverWalk"? Sounds more like an environment that will house the homeless, and be a favorite place of muggers.

---

You know, if the L-E ignored the "SOA Watch", it would probably just go away. Not a bad solution.

---

The Toomer's Corner oaks, and AU football aren't the only tragedies of this fall; have you seen the stock of AU goods piled unbought and to the ceiling in retail stores?

---

Two Phenix City men have been charged in connection with fighting and running over a Columbus police officer on Wednesday during a traffic stop on J.R. Allen Parkway. * The suspects were identified as Daniel Parrish III, 28, David Chris Bragg, 30, and Joshua Cain Turk, 25." -- Even before I looked up the 'byline', I knew this had to be the work of "Hasn't EVER Ben Wright". Of course, one of the two men may have had a split-personality which is why the two have 3 names between them.

---

So 32,000+ have voted early... guess voting on Tuesday at a normal precinct, National Election Day, won't be as crowded as the early voting locations.
