When you think about it, our government gives more tax dollars to those who
have given nothing to this country, and that deletes the available dollars to
support those who protect and give and offer their all, their families, too, to
assure the freedoms we enjoy.

You know, it's am absolute shame that it takes the inevitability of a Mike
Owen expose' to get the MCSD to move on removing dead trees from a school
campus. Those dead trees didn't die overnight. Speaking of dead trees, what
about the 25 dead ones that line the "beautification project on Veterans Parkway
from 13th Street and south?

Now that we have passed the Charter School Amendment, which gets us back to
neighborhood schools without the restrictive rules and regulations of
traditional public schools, why doesn't the MCSD Board make ALL existing schools
such charter schools. Think how much money would be saved by eliminating buses
and federal programs.. you know, it would sorta be like the 'school voucher'
concept that will allow parents to actually have input in their children's
education. Win - win!

6 of the Top 9 BCS ranked schools are in the SEC. The other three wouldn't
be undefeated if they were members.

Interesting thought...if...and that's a 'mighty BIG if", Auburn were to
beat Alabama (bad punting day or such), there could be three teams in the hunt
for the SEC West championship. Bama, LSU, and Texas A&M would have 2 losses
each and none have beaten the other two for clarity.

A 15 year old was arrested for the assault and rape of a 20 year old. After
he's convicted, how long will it be before the GA Supreme Court sends it back
claiming ineffective counsel because counsel did not the court appointed lawyer
did not prove the boy was a 'victim' of a 20 year old 'contributing to the
delinquency of a minor'? You laugh, but I can see it based on past
decisions.
