Online story: "In Florida this week, former Deputy CIA Director (and former Secretary of Defense under President Reagan) Frank Carlucci walked into court and demanded that a Florida judge enforce judgment against a huckster who Carlucci says defrauded him out of $32 million." -- Hmmm, maybe an investigation/IRS purge is needed to see how/where a lifelong government worker had a spare $32,000,000.00 to 'invest', and also, why the guy who scammed him is not in charge of the US spy network.

---

Online "off the record" story: "WASHINGTON, May 30 (Reuters) - U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder told media editors on Thursday that he would change the way the Justice Department handles investigations that involve reporters and not repeat searches that have raised concerns about freedom of the press, the editors said." -- Hmmm, it's easy to make campaign programs when you aren't under oath or can cross your fingers behind your back.

---

For the record, it was less than professional, and way less than presidential, for the White House/AG/DOJ's office to suggest that a meeting to explain the ongoing scandals be conducted "off the record" . "Off the record" basically means Holder wants to answer questions without being accountable for the truth. Even worse was the statement saying if the media doesn't agree to such conditions, the media had no right to complain. That is a BS assumption only a liar could make/expect.

---

"Cut Bait".... Hey, how much money was spent on making it safer before any other work was done? You know, you have to wonder whether altering it with concrete mattresses before it was tested may be the reason it's dangerous at certain water flow rates now. You also have to wonder whether that concrete pit will withstand the power of Mother Nature.... she doesn't like to be fooled.

---

With all that's going on in Washington, where's Bleep Veep Biden? Is he disassociating himself with Judas 00-bama preparing for2016?

---

There's only one person with something to gain personally if Judas 00-bama were to actually receive a ricin laced letter, and Biden is conveniently out of the country (and spotlight).

---

Straight from Mayor Obamalinson's mouth is that while the Whitewater equippers do not collect sales, SPLOST, LOST, or T-SPLOST taxes, she worked out an agreement that the equippers pay Columbus a straight 3% of sales fee. Why would she settle for a 3% fee versus the normal sales taxes other uses pay for? Her way cuts out revenues designated for LOSTS and SPLOST/T-SPLOST that depend on that revenue. Now, the Public Safety, Infrastructure, MCSD, and the area road funds get snubbed.

---

If the government wants to go after obese and overweight aspects of personal lives, government should first go after the constructors/spenders of the bloated budget .

---

I am tired of complaints that every criminal defendant is entitled to any lawyer he/she wants at public expense, and that every court appointed attorney is expected to perform like his client has a bottomless bank accoungt. I am not for separate justice, but I am tired of paying for defense lawyers for criminals that knew in advance that if they get caught, they don't have the funds to pay for their own lawyer. I do not object to there being a publicly paid advisor to consult criminals but the public should not be responsible for a defense to get a criminal off on technicalities.

---

Someone has put together a collage of video clips of Nixon & 00-bama 'splaining' why they shouldn't be held accountable for their administration scandals. I had a hard time telling which one or the other was speaking.

---

Online headline: "Homeland Security Is Worried Limiting 3D-Printed Guns 'May Be Impossible': Report" -- Hey, it's just as illegal to have an illegal 3D-printed gun as it is to possess a normal gun illegally. Just enforce the laws we have, and put users of guns in crime either in the ground or locked up forever. The crime numbers will drop significantly.

The 10 worst paying college majors, based on starting salary, jobs available, and unemployed in field, are (from 10th down to 1st, uh, Worst):
Music
Film, Video and Photographic Arts
Liberal Arts
Psychology
Philosophy/Religious Studies
Social Work
Fine Arts
Physical Fitness/Parks Recreation
Anthropology/Archaeology
Drama/Theatere
Wonder how each rank in the amount and number of student loans in existence?

---

Conversely, the top 10 (from 1 down to 10) are:
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
General Engineering
Civil Engineeering
Computer Science
Economics
Finance
Accounting
Information Services
Amazingly, the unemployed figures are not much different than the worst 10 fields.

Buckle up and hold on tight all you new parents and grandparents who think there is safety in using TV cartoons as a routine baby sitter for your little ones. There's a new cartoon out that a 'boy' transforms into a "girl" super-hero. While I don't like to give trash publicity, the name of the show (fortunately on the low viewership cable only station called "the Hub" but it's sometimes available on Knology in the high-def-stations) is "SheZow". Forewarned is forearmed.

Letter-to-the Ledger:
Why has the City of Columbus, and the State of Georgia singled out a recreation service to be exempt form collecting and turning in sales, LOST & SPLOST taxes? Such is the case with the companies running the "Whitewater" rafting business(es).
It's especially egregious in that the City and State have contributed million of our tax dollars into providing an arena for such recreation companies.
On the other hand, The City and State demand we pay sales taxes on our utilities, gasoline, and our car purchases (and as of this year, if we sell a car ourselves to someone, either the buyer or the seller is going to be responsible for collecting and paying sales taxes on that car).
Where is the justice in the City and State demanding we pay sales taxes plus the LOSTs & SPLOST taxes on basic needs while exempting persons from paying such taxes on some of their recreational desires if they they can afford such?

Online headline: "Obama: 'I Don’t Have Much Patience for People Who Deny Climate Change' -- Hey I support climate change... I think the climate in the White House and Senate should change drastically.
---
A woman called 911 in Oregon because her violent ex-boyfriend was threatening her. The operator told her "I don't have anybody to send out there... ask him to go away" -- Is this not the post child for the 2nd Amendment?
---
Really good L-E "soundoff": "Maybe the Boy Scouts and the Girls Scouts can merge and become the “Unisex Scouts.” That would satisfy gay rights groups, ACLU, etc., and obliterate two fine organizations." -- Of course, it is sad that liberals will look at this and see the solution of the ages, not the sadness of the irony.
---
L-E story: "CHICAGO — A young Lebanese immigrant was sentenced Thursday to 23 years in prison for placing a backpack he believed contained a powerful bomb along a bustling city street near the Chicago Cubs’ baseball stadium.

Sami Samir Hassoun’s sentencing in federal court in Chicago came little more than a month after bombs concealed in backpacks exploded at the Boston Marathon, killing three people and wounding hundreds more. * The defense has depicted Hassoun as a uniquely gullible youth sucked into the 2010 terrorism sting during an alcohol-addled stretch of his life by an informant eager to please his FBI handlers. * But prosecutors say he showed enthusiasm and initiative, including by deciding to drop the device given to him by undercover agents into a trash bin near Wrigley Field and a bar packed with late-night revelers. " -- You know, I'm beginning to be as worried about our FBI being so knowledgeable about deviousness.
---
The L-E editorial seems distressed that state run 'charter schools' did not excel as was wished. The key words in this are "state run". Even if you give the schools' principals more leeway than their non-charter school counterparts, you cannot escape the fact that the principals were trained within the same system. What's that adage about expecting different results?
---
From the L-E's "Looking Back" feature: "An ambulance, racing to the hospital with a patient, and an auto with three occupants collided near LaGrange yesterday, sending three people to the hospital. * However, the three admitted to the hospital didn’t include the patient riding in the ambulance. He was treated and dismissed." -- Who needs writers to come up with jokes? Real life is the best humor.
---
You do have to applaud Will Smith on his discovery of how to get his teenaged son to listen to and obey him. Put him into the movie you are starring in and have managing control of the script.
---
Again, I am for the SEC to go to 9 intra-conference games. The SEC has great match ups, and the NCAA experiment with expanding schedules so teams could play other conference powers has been a failure. The schools have scheduled too many 'homecoming opponents" instead.
---
From the "stupid moves, accelerated division" department - L-E story: "PHILADELPHIA — Joe Paterno’s family is suing the National Collegiate Athletic Association over penalties levied against Penn States and its football program for its role in the Jerry Sandusky sexual-abuse case." -- Papa Joe didn't teach his skills to any one else in his family. Sometimes, you just have to minimize the losses, lick your wounds, and regroup for another day. Papa Joe's grave is already deep enough.
---
L-E headline: "CHEAP LEASES OFFERED TO SPUR ELECTRIC CAR SALES " -- Huh? Let's re-read that... how can a lease be considered a 'sale'? The user can just walk away from it, and the car companies are still the owners and will have the expense if they have to sue the users. Sorta what brought the housing industry down.. basically 'leasing' hoyuse to unqualified buyers who can't afford them and have no real money invested.

If you haven't made it down to the W C Bradley Museum on Front Avenue to see the exhibit of old maps, time is running out, and you will have missed a real opportunity.

How embarrassing. What does the Columbus Chamber of Commerce and the Columbus Travel Bureau tell phone callers asking about Whitewater info/bookings inquiries... Oh! Just go to Phenix City and they'll fix you up. Even with an impromptu Broadway office since "the big guy pulled out", rafters still are taken over to Phenix City for launching.
---
From the 'curious' department - Why would an American mother of 7 children travel to Mexico? If it's a family thing, her family could sneak across the border to visit here with greater ease than her having to go through the customs/passport inspections.
---
With what's going on within the DOJ, you would think the mainstream media would take another look at 'fast&furious'.
---
Before any problem can start to be solved, someone has to own up to there actually being a problem. Lois Lerner has made it perfectly clear that she thinks she has not broken any law/regulation pertaining to our Constitution nor IRS rules. Does anyone think anyone giving her orders will admit they have?
---
If Lois Lerner, (for that matter any government employee), can take an oath of truth, and swear she hasn't broken any IRS or Federal laws/regulations while targeting any American citizen, then the wrong laws and regulations are in force.
---
Why was Lois Lerner put on paid leave of absence? By doing such, Judas 00-bama still had her under his thumb until he finds a bus to throw her under, and at the same time add another person to the employed record.
---
If you were Judas 00-bama, and had $177,000.00 to spend on jobs, would you continue to pay Lois Lerner while she sits out, or would you put 3 or 4 more people to work on finding ways to create jobs for others?
---
Little thought was given by Holder and 00-bama that so many "tornadoes" would be touching down in Washington, DC.
---
Online story: "PHOENIX -- The Arizona Supreme Court on Wednesday declined to hear an appeal on whether a judge improperly allowed prosecutors to seek a death sentence for Jodi Arias in the 2008 stabbing and shooting of her former boyfriend." -- And to think we elected a lawyer as president who appointed another lawyer as AG. I used to laugh at the adage that it's 99% of lawyers who give the other 1% a bad name, but I'm about to believe it's more like 99.44%.
---
Speaking of Jodi Arrogant-ass's situation, I for making the original jurors who wouldn't give her the death sentence be made to sit in with the next jury with their mouths duct-taped over while the whole trial evidence is reviewed by a new panel.
---
Oh, and then subject them to a complete IRS audit to make sure no funds passsed hands to get their no-death vote.
---
HuffPost headline story: "Ibragim Todashev Unarmed When FBI Agent Shot And Killed Him: Report * Law enforcement officials initially told ABC News that, Todashev "just went crazy," brandishing a knife and stabbing the FBI agent. * An unnamed source contradicted that account, however, telling the Washington Post today that Todashev had no weapon. But Todashev did flip over the table and lunge at the FBI agent, the source said." -- At this time, and under theses circumstances, a story like this should only be aired IF there is a name and supporting video. As far as I'm concedrned, any one associated with the Bomber Brothers has given up his/her rights as a human.
---
Once again i ask, why is the USGA so anti-"anchored" putters? If it really gives a player an unfair advantage, wouldn't more players be using one? And wouldn't players using them be winning every tournament?
---
Online headline: "21,000 without power in Chicago" -- Oops, my bad. First I thought it was talking about the total Republicans in Chicago, then about the number of DUMBERat politicians in jail. well, it could have been either.
---
Online story: "A convicted child molester condemned for the 1990 rape and murder of a 10-year-old Florida girl has been executed at the Florida State Prison. * Florida Gov. Rick Scott's office said 56-year-old inmate Elmer Carroll was pronounced dead at 6:12 p.m. Wednesday at the prison in Starke. * Carroll previously had been imprisoned twice for indecent assault on a child." -- Where was the justice when justice needed to be enforced? The (_@_) sat in jail for the past 23 years at the expense of the family (and us) of a 10 year old who would be at least 33 yesterday. Meanwhile, some lawyer(s) are crying that their welfare checks will stop.
---
Online headline: "Needing Pork, China Is to Buy a U.S. Supplier" -- Hmm that's a switch. Usually when China needs pork, it just buys a few DUMBERats.
---
Instant repeat: "Needing Pork, China Is to Buy a U.S. Supplier" -- It had to be Smithfield Hams of Virginia .....at least we still have Wayco Hams (a better ham from Goldsboro (Wayne County), North Carolina. We grew up on Wayco Hams on holidays. Mother was from Goldsboro.
---
Repeat instant repeat: "Needing Pork, China Is to Buy a U.S. Supplier" -- Hmmm, maybe China bought Smithfield so it can move it out of Virginia so Virginia becomes 'pork free' making it more Muslim Cemetery friendly.
---
Judas 00-bama says he supports Holder, but doesn't approve what went on. Hummm... Maybe... what I think he really meant was that he didn't approve of Holder getting caught.
---
Two US Embassy officials were shot outside a Venezuelan strip club. Both are expected to recover. Hmmm, if they were married, they may not want to.
---
Based on the number of TV ads, indoor odor maskers must have the highest margins of any product on the market. We are bombarded by different brands, fragrances, and ads showing more places we should be putting them.
---
Went out to WOW (formerly Knology) Tuesday to talk about my cable bill creep to new highs, plus a weak signal message we are periodically getting on our screen. A service call was scheduled and a new lower cost was offered which I declined until I saw whether the weak signal was correctable. Well, the self-scheduled 10:00-12:00 service called turned into 1:00 (but only after 3 calls back to WOW), and the service man determined it was a neighborhood weak signal emanating from their main feed, so he'd have to call in another service crew to fix that. Maybe tomorrow or the next day was all he could pinpoint it. Sad thing is, WOW was a Consumer Report favorite.
---
Looks like W C Bradley Co is making out like a bandit on the Whitewater snafus. They bought the plaza strip shopping center across the 13th St Bridge so they can direct new business opportunities to lower taxing Alabama, and sell historic properties at a premium to CSU which is pretty much tax exempt, or create high priced/low taxed apartments & condos from the old mill buildings.
---
With the revelation that AG Eric Holder went "judge shopping" to get a judge to sign the warrant to invade James Rosen's e-mail accounts, maybe it's time for judges to ask petitioners if any other judge has declined to sign it before coming to him/her.
---
In defending Eric Holder, uber-lib Alan Colmes used the analogy that the Republicans were "an orgasm looking for a wedding". I don't know if he made that up on the spot, but it sure sounded like a desperation shot at the buzzer.
---
New York Post headline yesterday: "Hide Your Kids * Sexting King Weiner Trolling For Interns" -- Sadly, in early mayoral polls, Weiner is within 4% points of the current leader.
---
About 200 people has been outed for collecting about $2,000,000.00 in welfare in Massachusetts. You guessed it, the names are of dead people. Maybe Massachusetts officials will find them the next time they vote.
---
I wish the MCSD would pull out the 1990 budget and compare it line by line with the current one. Isolate the same categories that were funded in 1990 from the programs and categories on the current budget to see what is now considered "essential' vcersus what was essential in 1990. One thing that will glare out is that in 1990, the MCSD had 32,000 +/- students and 5,000 employees (2,000 were teachers), and now we have 32,000 +/- students and 6,000+ employees (am not sure how many are actually teachers). What was in the budget as essential in 1990 is basically all that is essential in 2013.
---
Alan Kreuger is stepping down as Judas 00-Obama's economic advisor. You would think that this is good for America, BUT, Princeton has re-hired him to teach what he obviously doesn't know to future Tigers. Why don't alumni revolt for their school minimizing the respect of their diplomas?
---
L-E headline: "BUDGET REVIEW COMMITTEE * Council’s additions put ’14 budget at $263.7M * City dips into reserves for public safety departments" -- You know, the last LOST (using a lowball figure of $30,000,000.00 in revenues) guaranteed $21,000,000.00 for Public Safety. Maybe Council should examine the programs it has distributed that money towards that aren't really Public Safety issues. Start with mid-night basketball and the Jr Marshals programs.
---
Curious... with more people unemployed or not looking for work than ever before, how is ObamaCare going to get paid for by everyone according to the "unread plan" the DUMBERat Congress passed?
---
Sketchy-info voter's L-E "soundoff": "How come on the front page of our paper there is so much crime reported? Why not put the good things up front? A would-be newcomer would bypass Columbus in a heartbeat. " -- Well... Things are what they is... Columbus is ranked in the bottom 3% of unsafe cities in the USA. I don't blame the police, though, it's the court system. Recidivist felons should not walk the streets again if a gun is used in a crime.
---
Low-info...very low-info voter's L-E "soundoff": "Politics is a dirty game with no referees. Republicans are trying to discredit Obama to enhance their chances for 2016. Popcorn, anyone? " -- "Republicans are trying to discredit Obama"? The only thing Republicans need to do now is step back and let Judas 00-bama continue to do a bang up job of discrediting himself now that the mainstream media has removed its blinders.
---
L-E headline: "Letters to NYC mayor test positive for ricin " -- Hmmm, and what do the letters from Mayor Bloom-ing-idiot-berg contain (other than political BS)?
---
L-E story: "ATLANTA — Georgia Democratic Party Chair Mike Berlon said Wednesday he will step down from his position, citing concerns expressed by Democratic leaders that his personal issues have become a distraction as a major election year looms. " -- Huh? I thought DUMBERats thought personal issues were something to embrace (except for Republicans).
---
I'm not a "Bama" fan everyday, but do pull hard for them when playing non-SEC teams (or any team Spurrier coaches). Today, though, I applaud Coach Saban for standing alone in favor of expanding the SEC games schedule to 9 SEC opponents for each member team. The league has expanded, and I would like to see more SEC match ups.
---
Online quote service: "The cost of freedom is always high, but Americans have always paid it. And one path we shall never choose, and that is the path of surrender, or submission. - John F Kennedy" -- Hmmm, another of his quotes, alonf with "Ask not what your country can do for you....", that DUMBERats try to disassociate with the DNC mantra.

Eric Holder is the poster child of why we should look into having a director for the Attorney General's office that is a Christian businessperson of proven capability . It's more than apparent that there is no moral compass in the departmental structure as now executed.
---

Online headline: "Marijuana Legalization: Colo. Gov. Hickenlooper Signs First Bills In History To Establish A Legal, Regulated Pot Market For Adults: -- It's amazing... If the Governor of Colorado signed a state law to separate Colorado from federal laws controlling heroin, or even alcohol, Judas 00-bama would have the DOJ all over it.

---

Online story: "Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) announced early Wednesday that she will not seek a fifth term in office." -- I am not unhappy... not exactly elated, either, but when politicos seek more personal attention to themselves via "moral causes campaigns", their effectiveness not only wanes, but becomes counterproductive.

---

Why is Fox giving Karl Rove the time of day, much less the spotlight? He led a poorly communicated and worse executed campaign in 2012, and bringing him back in the forefront just delays new conservative leadership development.

---

The RNC chair was on Fox saying the GOP needs to maintain the House Majority, while winning the Senate Majority position. Well, if the current Republicans in Congress would concentrate on "what really matters" and stopped trying to appease liberals, the conservative voters would be out in droves in support.

---

My family spent this Memorial Day Weekend in Florida, but today I rode down 1st Ave looking for the launch site to see where the rafts took off. Not finding any signs directing traffic to such an area, I contacted a reliable media source (hopefully, I haven't dragged him into an IRS audit for having e-mail contact with a conservative blogger), and asked him. He wasn't exactly sure of the address, but knew it was in Phenix City.... After all this time and hoopla, the Columbus launch site was not ready.
Went by that location later, and it doesn't look like it's going to be ready anytime soon, either. Phenix City put out less than 1% of the development cost, and is enjoying all of the rewards so far. Columbus Council and Columbus taxpayers should get answers from UPtown as to how and why?

---

After watching some of the Whitewater video clips showing "cut bait", and reading about CFD personnel being on duty along the river, is Phenix City doing the same on its side of the river. Does Phenix City expect Columbus to provide all the rescue services for something it claims as its own asset?

---

With all the lead time, not having either the 14th Street Bridge nor the Georgia side raft launch sites ready was a black eye for all the hoopla and expectations projected for the opening weekend of "Whitewater".

---

I'm skeptical that the Chinese stole any of our military secrets by hacking into out systems. Bill Clinton probably provided passwords when he gave/sold info for his campaign donations.

---

I don't understand why highly classified documents/secrets can be hacked when somewhat simple protocols can be implemented for hacker protection. I keep my personal documents/pictures on external hard drives, and when I want to share them, copy the specific files to my C-drive, disconnect my external hard drive, then send the file. As soon as it's sent, then I delete the file from the C-drive. I'm sure it's not fool-proof, but it does eliminate disasters .

---

Eric Holder must have been in agony waiting for Hank "won't the island tip over" Johnson to finish talking about whatever he was talking about.

---

Scandal #4? Kathryn Sebelius, hand picked Health Tsar may have her hands full with donation problems. Sebelius admitted that she solicited financial donations from H&R Block Inc., and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. She wants the money to go to Enroll America, a private nonprofit group that is gearing up to promote the Affordable Care Act and help people enroll in the new insurance exchanges. And yes, some of the staffers in Enroll America worked for President Barack Obama's campaign.

Looks like ObamaCare may drive union membership down. Unintended consequence? Maybe....maybe not.

---

We also learned today that two judges refused to issue a warrant for James Rosen's emails. Holder had to find a third judge to finally get a warrant signed . There goes any inkling of Holder not being highly involved, and intense in going after Rosen.

---

Word was out today that IRS personnel were directed last Thursday not to wipe/shred any personal digital files or hard drives. Oh, I guess it would be OK to exchange notebooks and wipe/shred each others IF there were any files or hard drives that weren't done weeks ago.

---

Judas 00-bama is the only man I've ever seen who throws a football and baseball the same way he shoots a free throw.

---

How ironic that is his quest to bring down a Fox news reporter, that quest may bring down Eric Holder and others.

---

Since George Zimmerman has been labeled "white" even though only one parent, and in this case Zimmerman's father, is white and his mother is Hispanic, are we to assume that which parent is the father determines a baby's race? What do women's groups think about this? Does this apply to college football allegiances? If the father is for Auburn and the mother is for Georgia, does in mean the children will be Auburn fans? How about in politics... will both children of James Carville and Mary Matalin be DUMBERats?

---

Wellstone & Piedmont Hospitals may be on to something to curb rising costs... Devising their own insurance product which will create a direct relationship between hospitals and patients. I like that thinking, and hope it will be successful.

---

Remember when 10% was the starting point when figuring what size tip uh you considered for basic, mundane wait-service? Now that's pretty much the taxes you pay on what you ate regardless of the service you got.

---

L-E headline/story: "1 of 5 charged in minister's 2011 Broadway homicide will testify for prosecution * Fatal shooting was revenge killing targeting wrong man, authorities say * Thomas, Ingram and Forte each is charged also with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm." -- Show me one new law suggestion that would have changed these three convicted felons from getting their hands on a gun illegally? There are none, BUT if judges and juries cracked down on possessing, much less using a gun, by a convicted felon, there would be less of this happening on our streets.

Read more here: http://www.mcclatchydc.com/2013/05/28/192385/supreme-court-widens-opportunity.html#storylink=cpy

McClatchy headline/story: "Supreme Court widens opportunity for claims of ineffective counsel * A badly damaged Texas man who was sentenced to death for his part in a San Antonio-area gang rape and murder will get a second chance at mercy, under a divided Supreme Court ruling Tuesday. * Born to an alcoholic mother and allegedly abused as a child, Carlos Trevino won another opportunity to raise a claim that his first trial attorneys failed him, in part, because they didn’t illuminate his upbringing." -- A year or so ago, we had a local case get a turn around by Georgia's Supreme Court based on 'ineffective counsel', and I predicted such a Pandora's Box of additional rulings. It's almost a revolving door concept for court appointed attorneys to keep other attorneys working. If you are a defense attorney with a bad case, just intentionally don't do your 100% best, and you get paid by the state, and another court appointed attorney gets the chance to do the same thing when it's returned to the court for 'ineffective counsel'. Shoot, a lawyer may get lucky and get reappointed to the same case, and he'll already have his case work he can recharge the courts for.

---

L-E headline: "Whitewater sweeps customers into downtown shops * Several restaurants saw record-breaking crowds" -- Hmmm, wonder if Mayor Obamalinson will see the profit potential of having Metra write parking tickets for kayakers on weekends so the city of Columbus can get a revenue stream?

---

A "what's your point" low-info voter;s L-E "soundoff": "In 2012, handguns killed 48 people in Japan, 8 in Great Britain, 34 in Switzerland, 52 in Canada, 58 in Israel, 21 in Sweden, 42 in West Germany, 10,728 in the United States. " -- Aside from the inaccuracy of the numbers, does this person plan on moving to one of those countries? I might provide the one-way bus ticket there. The writer might rethink Great Britain, though, as it has a category for death by hand-held crossbows as well.

---

Gun facts from a reliable source: " But the US does not have the worst firearm murder rate - that prize belongs to Honduras, El Salvador and Jamaica. In fact, the US is number 28, with a rate of 2.97 per 100,000 people
• Puerto Rico tops the world's table for firearms murders as a percentage of all homicides - 94.8%. It's followed by Sierra Leone in Africa and Saint Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean"

---

So the 13th Street Bridge will be the scene of a movie stunt that includes a car flying off the bridge into the Chattahoochee. Is there a pool yet on whether or not the car will make it through 'cut bait'?

---

L-E headline/story: "Russia criticizes Europe’s move to arm Syrian rebels * The European Union decision, coupled with a Russia’s renewed pledge to supply Syrian President Bashar Assad’s regime with advanced missiles, could transform an already brutal civil war into an East-West proxy fight. " -- As Paul Harvey would say, "and that's the rest of the story".

---

L-E headline: "Judge limits texts, photos in Trayvon Martin case" -- Well, as Ronald Reagan would say when pointing out mainstream media bias/half-truths, "There you go again." The 'limit" is to opening statements, but it also limits what the prosecution might try to slip in with out documentation at that time.

Tuesday, May 28, 2013

back from the beach... I don't care when you go, I can truthfully say this weekend was the one you tell others that, "you should have been there this weekend". 85, cloudless, low humidity, nice breeze, moderate people for a holiday weekend, and reasonable traffic flow in Eufaula on the way home.

---

Gas was as low as $3.159 for Exxon in Eufaula. Had to look hard to find any below $3.459 in Florida. Florida is not a friend to vacationers.

---

Online story: "Ms Kausar, 34, who is originally from Lahore, came to the UK to study business and health care management alongside Ms Kamar. She told the Birmingham (Eng) Mail: “This country allows us rights and it’s a very personal decision that we have taken. It’s no one’s business as to what we do with our personal lives." -- Hmmm, "it's no one's business"? Well, I'd like to be a fly on the wall at the airport in Lahore when the couple returns to visit family.

---

Online story: "BRUSSELS -- The European Union said its member states within days will be able to send weapons to help Syria's outgunned rebels, seeking to pressure President Bashar Assad's regime ahead of planned peace talks mediated by the United States and Russia. * Though no EU country has any such plans now to send arms, British Foreign Secretary William Hague said the decision "sends a very strong message from Europe to the Assad regime." -- "sends a very strong message"? No, it sends weapons to Muslim Jihadists that may be showing up in European Union countries armed with something worse than a meat cleaver.

---

Online story: "LONDON -- British police arrested a 10th suspect Monday in connection with the vicious street killing of a soldier in London, an apparent Islamic extremist attack that has horrified the country and heightened racial tensions." -- 10th? Hey, Judas 00-bama... so much for your 'theory' jihadist terrorism is the work of onesies and twosies.

Seems like all the work at Whitewater is creating valuable properties along side of it, but the City seems to be getting short changed on tax revenues. Condo and apartment owners, and of course, all the state owned college buildings there are getting huge tax breaks on the properties, and the Whitewater Outfitter doesn't generate any state/City sales tax revenues. How long can the rest of the taxpayers support the efforts?

---

The thought of 'prettying up' Martin Luther King Drive is wonderful, perhaps even noble, but wouldn't increasing the graduation rate at Carver even be a better tribute to Dr King?

---

Seems everyone is in agreeance that Whitewater will be a great attraction of kayakers. I'm curious... how much revenue will be generated by free-riding, day tripping kayakers? No fees, no taxes, probably no motels, few if any purchased meals, and if they need gas, they'll learn quick that gas is cheaper across the river.

L-E story: "The roads have been closed. Detour signs and barricades are up. Funding has been allocated and contracts have been signed. Now just one little detail must be taken care of before the heavy work of replacing the venerable Brown Avenue Bridge can begin. * The barn swallows have to get through with their breeding season. " -- Is there anyone who has any more questions why government cannot create jobs? For that matter even sustain jobs that have been created? Barn Swallows, Snail Darters, Sea Turtles, spilled glass of water sized 'wetlands'.... (well, maybe some slack for Sea Turtles) can stop progress before it gets started as well as during, and people suffer at the expense of liberals' ideals.

---

L-E story: "ATLANTA — A two-year study by the University System of Georgia shows classrooms are empty during most of the week. * The Athens Banner-Herald reports that of the 440 classrooms at the University of Georgia, the average is used just 18.5 hours per 40-hour work week. When the classrooms are used, just two-thirds of the seats are full. That is a 31 percent utilization rate." -- This is what you, no, we, get when you hire teachers versus business folks to run our educational institutions.

---

L-E headline/story: "Georgia Civil War camp turns up hundreds of artifacts * In just three years of field work, researchers have turned up more than 600 artifacts * Many of those treasures are metal items — small buttons, a large hammerhead, spoons and forks — covered in rust that needs to be carefully removed so the artifacts aren’t lost to corrosion. * “There’s a lifetime’s worth of work here,” (lance)Greene said. “I can see that I would retire still working there because it’s such an incredible site and so well preserved.” -- 3 years of work turns up 600 +/- items of dubious value. When I was younger, I had dreams of becoming an archeologist so it bothers me to pick at this, but what will we gain, in reality or in practicality, at restoring a suspender buckle or fork that will alter or enhance history or the future? Even sadder is someone believes his life's work is justified at this. Now, I might share his excitement if he was paying his own way, but we know tax dollars are footing bill in educational salaries or government earmark grants.

---

On the above: I was a fan of Louis S. B. Leakey. Leakey reported his early man finds from the Olduvai Gorge in Africa for the National Geographic magazine. I could hardly wait for the next month's story/updates. One day it was revealed, admitted by him, that he faked some 'evicence' and 'findings' to keep grants coming in to fund his work. Work.... no, he was a scammer, nothing more than a con man.

Gladys Knight is 69 today... wonder how old her "Pips" are?

Take a moment to remember someone you knew, were related with, went to school with, grew up with, who gave his.... or her... full measure in defense of our country, our freedoms, our future, our children's future.. Thanks to you who served and are reading this today as well.

Hmmm, Judas 00-bama really doesn't act like he respects our military men. He took way to much credit for killing Osama bin Laden , then sued the SEAL who pulled the bullet because he wrote a book to set the record straight, then he made a Marine hold an umbrella while he exchanged chit-chat in the rain with another Turkey guy, then, then snubbed another saluting Marine before boarding Marine One. Commander -in-chafe.

---

When Judas 00-bama goes to lay a wreath at a soldiers' grave site to today, let's pray that the mainstream media knows the difference between Arlington National and the Muslim cemetery where Bomber Brother 1 desecrates American soil.

Online headline: "Obama's Terrorism Strategy Slammed By Republicans" -- Hmmm, and it would be slammed by DUMBERats if they bothered to read about it.

After watching 60 Minutes last night, Judas 00-bama was intensely involved and engaged in the mission to kill Osama bin Laden, so how come he now portrays himself as Alfred E "what, me worry" Newman doing an impression of Sgt. "I know nothing" Schultz?
---
After watching 60 Minutes last night, Judas 00-bama was intensely involved and engaged in the mission to kill Osama bin Laden, so how come he now portrays himself as Foghorn "I say there, look at me" Leghorn doing an impression of Sgt. "I know nothing" Schultz? Today, he's back to his Alfred E. :what, me worry?" Newman mode.
---
The Navy SEAL team 6 member, upon killing Osama bin Laden, got home, and headed for Taco Bell. Bet Disney was kicking itself for not having a reporter and camera there to ask, " Now that you've killed bin Laden, whatta you going to do next?"
---
Did Judas 00-bama issue "the order" to IRS? Probably not.. just as the Godfather didn't necessarily have to give "the order" to eliminate a threat when a subtle hint/nod would send the same message to someone wanting to please him.
---
Ooops! Goofed yesterday... Must have been my vacation mode. While I haven't a whole lot of good things to commend Maryland on, Biden isn't their contribution to the mess we're in; that belongs to Delaware.
---
In case you missed it last week, Bette Middler sent the IRS a "thank you" for targeting the Tea Party ( and any other 'hate' group). Of course, ACORN, the DNC, Organizing for Action, MoveOn.Com, Occupy Wall Street, et al are A-OK with her. Write her off for the future.
---
Benghazi... just want to keep this buzz word active and ongoing as getting to the bottom involves , no, depends on mainstream media keeping the subject 'alive' so the public knows what really happened, not just what Judas 00-Obama's spinmeisters want us to know.
---
What's with Judas 00-bama saying he'll try to keep from killing civilians while targeting al Qaida terrorists with drones. Excuse me, but now terrorists will attache civilians to them with leashes ... Or, at best, claim everyone around then is a civilian. Theur are no civilians in an al Qaida camp or movement.
---
When do you know Judas 00-bama is lying? Whenever his, Carney's, Hillary's, Kerry's, Holder's, Miller's/Lerner's, Reid's, or Pelozi's lips are moving.
---
Seems at least one of the Muslim jihadist butchers had been arrested in Kenya for terrorist activities, and deported back to England. Hmmm sort of like getting trained then getting a free one way ticket back home at taxpayer expense.

L-E headline: "Run for the Heroes raises more than $160,000" -- Standing "O" for John Teeples and all who participate... in any way!
---
Except for the grandfather who feels he' lost his granddaughter to year-round-softball, the L-E "soundoff" sounded like a compilation of Dusty Nix's innermost biases. The one about " If there were another civil war in this country, it would be right-wing extremists against real Americans." was especially egregious, especially for Memorial Day, as even the 'extreme-ist' right-winger knows the difference between a real American and a liberal DUMBERat.
---
While touring Moore, Oklahoma, Judas 00-bama said, "Everywhere, fellow Americans are praying with you," -- Hmmm, he's been acting like him, now he's beginning to sound like Nixon. Can "I am not a crook!" be far behind?

Online headline: "Rocket fired from Lebanon" -- Hmmm, obviously not one of ours.. otherwise, Judas 00-bama would have given it a paid leave-of-absence until convicted.
---
Hmmm, the MCSD has hired a new Library Director... and he's young enough to not retire in 3 years. Maybe the School Board should use that employee headhunter for finding a superintendent.
---
As for salary... the range of $120K - $150K is being bantered around. Salary should have been locked in BEFORE offering (or at least WHILE offering) him the job..... I can see going high, BUT with the clause that says he must reimburse the library for all inventory shortages of non-returned or pilfered materials.
---
Hmmm... Turner's Tumbler? Is that one of those half full/half empty trick questions depending on the water flow Ga Power sends down stream?

L-E picture of Venus Williams:
Whether she's old enough to retire or not is a question, but whether or not she wears a bra while playing is not.

L-E headline: "NOTRE DAME FOOTBALL * QB Golson suspended for poor academic judgment" -- "poor academic JUDGEMENT"? What does that mean? "poor academic performance" would mean something we could understand, but 'poor academic JUDGEMENT'.... sounds more like something illegal was going on.

Online headline: "US Workers See Less Vacation Time Than Others" -- Ooops, my bad, thought the 'others' were non-workers. Guess getting paid for not working constitutes "paid vacation time' in the minds of the liberals.

---

This country won't be great again, until non-military government employees become grateful for having a job that taxpayers fund, and make decisions that reflect that gratitude.
---
With the powers granted to the sitting president to make executive orders and make political appointments, no government department head SCC should be allowed to get paid when fired.

Online story: "LOS ANGELES — Protesters rallied in dozens of cities Saturday as part of a global protest against seed giant Monsanto and the genetically modified food it produces, organizers said. * Organizers said "March Against Monsanto" protests were held in 52 countries and 436 cities, including Los Angeles where demonstrators waved signs that read "Real Food 4 Real People" and "Label GMOs, It's Our Right to Know." _- Now I'm really confused... Does this count as paid vacation time or or what?

---

Baltimore, MD's school system... that's right, Bleep Veep Biden's stomping grounds, spent "stim-YOU-LIE" funds on mother-daughter make-overs. Every school system cries for more money, but when it's spent like this, none deserve it.

---

Even sadder was a spokesman for Baltimore's School system saying it "was ONLY $25,000.00. Why are people concerned we spent that little compared to the budget?

---

HuffPost headline/story: "Nobel Prize-Winning Economist Slams Conservative Movement * The Nobel Prize-winning economist, Paul Krugman) wrote in a blog post Saturday that people who identify as conservative, but take stances opposing the conservative mainstream -- acknowledging the connection between humans and global warming, opposing austerity and favoring tax increases, for example -- often find themselves disowned by the conservative movement. * In addition, former President Ronald Reagan, a GOP hero, enacted the largest tax increase in four decades, according to Joseph J. Thorndike, the director of the Tax History Project at Tax Analyst. Reagan was able to obscure the increases though by giving them a different name: “revenue enhancements,” which came from closing loopholes in the tax code. " -- Talk about revisionism.... Reagan cut the tax rates from 70% on the high end to 28%, eliminated some 'loop holes' and tax revenues increased because American kept more from being more productive. Unfortunately, DUMBERat Congresspersons just couldn't keep their hands off the increases, and spent more than ever.

---

HuffPost headline: "Poll Says Near-Majority Of Americans Support Legalizing Marijuana Growth" -- Guess Ha poll of HuffPost workers in Washington, California, and Colorado would get those results. My poll found the opposite results.

---

You know, if only American citizens were protected by the presumption of innocence, I wouldn't be as opposed to trying terrorist in American courts. If terrorists were presumed guilty and court was the opportunity for them to PROVE themselves innocent, like England...

---

Online story: "LOS ANGELES -- It was an uncomplicated brain surgery the hospital had performed hundreds of times before (499 times, to be exact). But to celebrate Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center's 500th deep brain stimulation operation Thursday * Deep brian stimulation is a therapy for people with Parkinson's disease, estimated to affect more than 1 million Americans, or essential tremors, which affects about 10 million Americans. It involves inserting a pacemaker that emits electronic impulses to affected areas of the brain, lessening tremor symptoms. At UCLA, the patient is conscious during the surgery and is asked to perform tests so that doctors can ensure the pacemaker is properly placed. * Lo and behold, Vine videos from the surgery show Carter's guitar skills get stronger as physicians located the best place to leave the pacemaker." -- Hmmm, maybe this operation should be mandatory on everyone who voted for ObamaCare. Shoot, in 12 months or so, we might get a unanimous mandate to end Obamacare (and DUMBERats).

---

There have been 2 horrible train collisions in recent weeks. How do trains collide in today's technology enhanced world? Guess it's a union thing and we won't understand.

---

Speaking of train wrecks, what's the latest on Mayor Obamalinson's desire to spend/waste tax dollars on such? Reckon any of that $300K "exploratory" money actually gotten past legal fees?

---

An 'expert' appearing on Fox said to save money on gas, to turn off your AC. How will that save me money? I figure it's cheaper to go to the gas station more often than single trip to the ER after my wife gets upset at her makeup running. At least she didn't jump on the fill your tires daily bandwagon.

---

Someone insinuated that Jay Carney isn't paid enough. Well, that's a lie! He's paid a lot more than he could get on a private sector job being honest.

---

Hope Whitewater's first day went well. Caught a few rafts on the VSA/Whitewater website, but vision was too focused to see anything else.

---\

Random thought... how will kayakers be protected from random shots coming from project homes along the Chattahoochee?

---

From L-E story: "By the time he got out of the river below the Columbus Convention & Trade Center, (Dee) Moore (a 41-yearold Columbus resident.) had already made a decision to invest in his own raft. Anyone can raft the course, but only Whitewater Express can charge for guided excursions. * “I think a lot of people are going to be like me and buy their own equipment,” Moore said. " -- Hmmm.. bitter sweet for the operators.. but if she buys one in Columbus, at least the City of Columbus and the MCSD will see some tax revenue that will not be coming from Whitewater Express sales. Of course, she could buy one from Whitewater Express in Phenix City and we won't get any of that tax revenue.

---

A High-info voter's L-E "soundoff": "Isn’t it amazing that within 12 hours we can find out where a lottery ticket was purchased and how many people won that lottery, but the White House can’t find out any information until they read it in the paper? " -- Now this is an analogy!

---

Low-info voter's L-E "soundoff": "Step up Columbus. Close our schools? No! Pass another sales tax on something and see that the money goes directly to keep our schools open. " -- Hmmm, we've had several of gthose. The school budget has grown from $54M in 1990 to $300+ in 20 or so years. More money just increases the wasteful programs and spending.

---

Another low-info voter's L-E "soundoff": "I thought the tea party wanted a balanced federal budget. So why are they applying for tax-exempt status? " -- A 5-1 (c) 4 status in not 'tax exempt' in the manner of a business; the status allows people of a like mind to pool their own money to campaign for a better life for our children's future.

---

Even another low-info voter's L-E "soundoff" (or Dusty is on a roll): "Republicans are voting to repeal Obamacare and bring back private insurance’s pre-existing condition exclusion for the 38th time but haven’t voted for a jobs bill in four years." -- Republicnas vote for ending wasteful programs and for lower taxes which are the biggest and best stimulus government CAN offer for job creation.

---

I see there's been a $10K reward offered for the arrest and conviction of the arsonist burning cars in the Historic District. From the pictures, it seems $10K would replace those cars. Sure this isn't a new "Get rid of clunkers program" from Washington?

---

Wonder how the outdoor wedding went at RiverMill Center yesterday at the top of the Whitewater raft launch cente?. Guess not many weddings has background banter of "Yahoo" when the bride says, "I do".

---

From the "oops, let's rethink this" department - L-E story: "Back at the Uptown Columbus Dragon Boat Festival, some people suggested making vendors a more common fixture on the RiverWalk — possibly extending the Broadway Market Days festivities to the RiverWalk." -- Yoo hoo! Anyone remember the Indian Cultural Festival? It "moved" its timing (at the insistence of a local CSU historian and a past Museum curator) from October to August in 1996 to accommodate "Olympic Fever". There was no festival in 1997 or in Columbus since. Went bankrupt, basically, because... because... no one wants to be standing in the 100 degree sun baked for more than a few minutes, and no Indian could stand wearing authentic dance costumes (and rigorous dancing routines) in that heat. No one came, and revenues shriveled up to zilch. Some things need to be left alone when they are already successful. Of, and don't fort get the Salisbury Fair. How wonderful was it when it was held in the shade of the trees on the Broadway media compared to being baked in the open, sun-baked area of its last hurrah?

---

Are the payers going to have to fund having a crew of 14/15 Rescue members of the Fire Department spending all day on the banks of Whitewater every day, just weekends, or during grand openings? Sure would be nice if the rafters were paying sales taxes to fund such an expense.

---

Leonard "The " Pitts is at it again.. condemning all straights because one loon shot a gay person in the face in a heinous manner. Convict the guy, execute the guy,. but don';t convict me along with him.

---

Did you look at the employment figures for various Columbus entities? Between the MCSD, CSU, and City of Columbus, 9,900 people work on tax dollars with no real economic input, and who knows how many uncounted federal and state employees fill the different entitlement and court system jobs. Some will throw Ft Benning soldiers into the mix, but I consider them as patriots versus employees of the government.

Online headline: "Don't Call Him Charlie Sheen Anymore * We all know the actor by his stage name, but in his new movie, 'Machete Kills,' he decided to go back to his roots." -- You know, I hadn't called him Charlie Sheen in a long time, and I'm not going to call him Carlos. "Hollywood (_@_)" is good enough for him... and me.

Online headline: "Obama Plan at Odds With Top Advisers" -- It's taken 5+ years for mainstream media to realize that Judas 00-bama is at odds with America and the rest of the non-Muslim world.

Online headline: "Obama: Sexual Assault Threatens Trust In Military" -- Yeah, that's so presidential to talk about sexual assault at the graduation ceremony at the US Naval Academy.
---
On line headline: "Obama Forgets To Salute Marine" -- Yeah, right, since when does Judas 00-bama bother to salute umbrella holders?
---
Online headline: "Ohio School District Considers Teaching Creationism" -- Ohio does seem to be a leader in creating things like new & extra voters a few days before elections, and creating chaos in the IRS. Guess it can try its hand at this.

Why does the mainstream media still show pictures of Trayvon Martin when he was 12 or 14 years old? Martin was a strapping 17+ year old street thug.

Online story: "ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- An eastern Pennsylvania woman who fatally stabbed her fiance on their wedding day – and then apparently could not comprehend that he had died – was convicted of first-degree murder on Thursday. * Jurors found Na Cola Franklin, 32, guilty after deliberating about three hours in Lehigh County Court. She could get life in prison when she is sentenced July 16. Her attorney said an appeal is likely." -- Compared to Jodi Arrogant-ass, this gal should get off scott free for time served.
---
If no one in the White House knows what's going on until they hear about it in the next days newsnews, how can Judas 00-bama take credit for anything good that happens?
---
The IRS boob in charge has been relieved of duties... with pay. Teachers in NYC and other cities get removed from duties but report to a day room... at full pay & pension contribution. Major Hasan kills 9 and wounds many other American soldiers, and instead of being held as a Muslim terrorist is arrested as something else, and continues to draw his salary & benefits. How many of you have such a 'golden parachute' if you get fired from your private sector job?
---
Illinois is about to pass (court ordered to do so) a law to allow background checked citizens their 1st Amendment rights. The Governor objects: "We need strong gun-safety laws that protect the people of our state. Instead, this measure puts public safety at risk," Quinn said in a prepared statement." -- You damned right Gov. and the law abiding citizens had one until you and your sorts tried to take them away so only crinals and your body guards would have them.
---
Those Sun setter Awning ads... Where's the truth-in-advertising police? One now says it's 20 degrees cooler under the awning. We know that's a lie. The air warmth is the same; now being in the shade may make it 'feel' 20 degrees cooler, but it doesn't MAKE it 20 degrees cooler.
---
Judas 00-bama has ordered the DOJ to review the DOJ guidelines. That's bout as effective as having Detroit's Council to investigate the City's $14 BILLION in debt.
---
A CSU professor wrote a viciously biased praise of Judas 00-bama and his socialist movement. Checking on how his students rate him shows that his class is rated extremely easy and mediocre for quality and helpfulness. Just think, he's not only on the public dole, he thinks he's entitled to chastise the country that pays his way.

How similar is it to Nixon's enemy list that AG Eric Holder is declaring media 'enemies of the state' .
---
While saving the cost of a full fledged trial, and getting Heath Jackson's killer
"life without parole", even with the 'no appeal' clause was

---
L-E headline: "Southern Co. looking at increasing renewable energy " -- Alright, PSC, don't forget this when GA Power comes hat-in-hand talking about cost increases... Ga Power doesn't pay a thing for sunlight. Truth-be-told, what does GA Power pay for using hydro-power?
---
Now that "Whitewater Day" is here, wonder who has figured in the costs of maintaining the construction projects once the contractor leaves. Mother Nature has a way of beating even the best attempts at controlling her powers, and I don't think there's a way to ever fully judge the maiximum pwers she can unleash.
---
Speaking of Whitewater... at least the sounds of crashing waves will drown out the politicians words as they take claim for what has occurred.

Online headline: "Skagit River Bridge Collapse: Interstate 5 Span In Washington State Falls Into The Water " -- Interstate bridges shouldn't collapse. They are federally built, inspected, and controlled. This can't happen.... Obviously this is a late April Fool's Day joke. Oh....I-35 bridge in Minnesota did the same in 2007. Precursor to government run ObamaCare?

---

The jury for Jodi Arrogant-ass got locked in a non-unanimous decision. You know, with as public as this trial was, and as brutal as she killed the man, the juror(s) who wouldn't budge on giving her the death sentence obviously lied about being open to giving such consideration during jury qualification. The Arizona prosecutor should initiate criminal perjury charges and civil suits to recover the costs of the trial from the holdouts.

Online story: "This week, we've (The Atlantic Cities) been exploring the inequality of access to last-resort birth prevention measures. We know that teen birth rates in this country are still far too high, with 34.2 out of every 1,000 teenage girls between the ages of 15 and 19 becoming mothers. * (Summation) The teen birth rate is higher in more religious states. This may be because other options, such as abortion, are more restricted." -- You know, both the teen birth rate and the abortion rate are too high... way too high. Perhaps the role model of TV shows & movie actresses glamorizing unwed pregnancies, combined with cavalier sex education focused on the physical aspects of sex, plus the inadequate emotional preparation for motherhood play a big part in encouraging too teen sex. Then throw in the media/political blitz of 'make a mistake/take a pill' gives kids the feeling of "it's OK". I'm glad I was a teen when I was a teen.

Now it's open that Eric Holder signed the warrant labeling Fox's James Rosen a co-conspirator. Wonder if he'll use Hillary's excuse that everything that crosses his desk had his signature whether he saw it or not.

---

Oh! Has anyone seen the text or phone records of Judas 00-bama's Blackberry that he wouldn't give up, even under request of the Secret Service?

---

Interesting... Facts revealed today show that Judas 00-bama has purged more media reporters that ALL OTHER, ALL 43 OTHER PRESIDENTS, combined!

---

Does anyone believe the IRS gestapo did their deeds without seeking parental type acceptance from Judas 00-bama? That's the way it was/is done in mob-Chicago.

---

Why has Judas 00-bama suddenly reappeared in the midst of the scandals to talk about old promises being kept? Simply to redirect the mainstream media focus. It may not work this time.

---

Judas 00-bama really stepped in it by declaring he's "OK" with a liberal heckler who's passionate about their beliefs. He surely wasn't "OK" with a conservative calling him a "liar". Guess he's opposed to the truth.

---

There were many subjects Judas 00-bama skirted yesterday. (Hmmm, skirted is a good word for 00-bama because there really is concern whether he has a set of essential manhood) One particular subject was his promise to step in at the first sign of chemical warfare by Assad.
---

Judas 00-bama says we drove al Qaida out of Afghanistan into Iraq. Huh? Then why did he say our war was with Afghanistan, not Iraq.
---

Judas 00-Obama's rush to claim the death of Osama bin Laden was complete victory over al Qaida has put his back in a corner. Now he acts like terror attacks are isolated incidents of random jihadists.

---

How can Judas 00-bama tell Americans that groups that only claim affiliation with al Qaida are diffent from al Qaida?

---

It doesn't matter whether the focus of the war on terror had shifted, we still need a place to contain, to process, and to eliminate terrorist combatants, and doing so by our country's military, and certainly not under the protection of our Constitution.

---

David Axelrod says Judas 00-bama can't know possibly everything that's going on. Well, could it be that the government is just 'too big' and needs to be pared back? Other than that, what's going on now are things he should have known about, and should be correcting personnel-wise as we speak.

---

Judas 00-bama says foreign aid is the best way to keep countries in check. Excuse me, but the best way to keep pissant despots 'in check' is to let'em know we can take'em out any time we feel like it. After Reagan ordered Gaddafy's guard towers and pet goat taken out by pinpoint accurate missiles, we didn't hear another saber-rattle from him.
---

All in all, just another Judas 00-bama speech that 'droned on&on".

---

Lois Lerner... Whatta summation of all that's wrong about Judas 00-bama. Now she's been placed on paid administrative leave. BS! If she's done nothing wrong, 00-bama should tell her to answer all the question; if she's hiding the truth, off with her head. 00-bama said heads will roll, but so far, only media eyes have rolled.

---

Lois Lerner... Now that she's on administrative leave, Congress needs to revoke her passport and put an ankle monitor on her.

---

Insanity.. that's all you can say about the Inspector General's report. How do you conduct an investigative interview with lower level IRS employees while their supervisor, Cindy Thomas, sat in during the sessions?

---

Like I said before, I can cure the hunger strike at Gitmo in 5 minutes. Just tell'em either they eat what's served or they'll be force fed with pureed pork products.

What are the Boy Scouts of America thinking. It should have been only a board of directors decision based on the mission and bylaws they are charged with carrying out.

Spain had built either the ultimate submarines or the ultimate snafu.... They don't float. Hmm, maybe Spain is working with 00-bama on the plans. They are overweight in pork, too, and his don't work either.

---

It was almost incredible to read yesterday that there were still openings for rafters to book a ride on opening day of the Whitewater project. On the other hand, we should have been prepared when the 'big one' pulled out and no one filed a breach of contract suit.

---

Even Congress doesn't get it. It's presented a law to prevent Judas 00-bama and others from tapping into the personal communications of reporters. We already have laws on the books that cover this... They are named the 1st & 4th Amendments.

---

It's a good thing Winston Churchill and Margaret Thatcher are dead and buried. Can you believe soldiers are encouraged to not wear their uniforms when off base. Politicians are Wimps!

---

Both the terrorists that killed, no, butchered, the British soldier should die by the sharia law of the same fate. That should be easy enough in England where the charged are considered guilty until proven innocent.

---

Those two jihadists that killed the British soldier in London had both been under previous scrutiny BUT....BUT, officials deemed them not so dangerous so they stopped monitoring them. Sound familiar to the Bomber Brothers? It's time that if an alien, legal or illegal, brings attention to themselves that's picked up by any American immigration or law agent, then that person is sent home. He/she doesn't go to "GO", doesn't get to use a "Get out of jail free" card, no lawyers, just a free trip home and no "visa stamp".

Online headline/story: "Education Department Giving Newtown $1.3 Million Grant * The grant to Newtown schools was designed to offset costs the district incurred after the December 2012 shooting as well as provide counseling and training for school officials." -- You know, if the 'training grant" were for guns and their ability of them to stop maniacs when teachers know how to use them, I'd be somewhat OK with it, but thgis is just tax dollars to be thrown into the pile of other wasted tax dollars.

---

HuffPost headline: "GOP Congressman To Resign" -- Hmm, not just "Congressman to Resign", and not what he's resigning for. Just liberal bias in its purist form. Truth is that the GOP Congressman is resigning to take a plum job at the University of Alabama. Now, that's a situation that should raise eyebrows, but not because he's a Republican... there's a tinge of nepotism involved.

L-E headline: DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE * Benning schools staff will take 5 furlough days in September * 422 staff, 2,800 students affected " -- Hmmm, why not just start school a week later and save on the extra electric usage the hotter days cause. Another detail "JUMPS" out. Staffing needs in a smaller school/business are generally higher because of certain minimum needs. How come the Ft Benning staffing ratio is lower than the much larger MCSD?

It doesn't matter which side Judas 00-bama supports in Egypt, Libya, Syria, Afghanistan or Pakistan, he's arming Muslims.

---

From L-E story on Historic District fires: "“There are things we know that you would be fascinated by, but we are not going to tell you,” the mayor said. " -- Hmmm, bet there are a lot of situations Mayor Obamalinson could use this quote on.

---

From a fellow BCer:

Tell that to a DUMBERat government employee....

---

L-E headline: "Council launches Undergarment Voucher Program" -- Ooops, my bad.. just thought Mayor Obamalinson was giving Council a way to leave chambers with dignity after some of her announcements.

Judas 00-bama has tried his best to remove "under God" from our Pledge of Allegiance. Now it looks like he's trying to get rid of "One nation...indivisible" as well.

---

Facebook.... if you own the stock, you may consider slipping out of it... Apparently, 'the youth' are dropping out in favor of "twitter"/"instagram". Remember "MySpace"?

---

The MCSD at least has a comparison it can cite that makes it look good in a certain way. Chicago is closing 49 schools, and Chicago learned from the Masters...Arne Duncan was president of the Cook County schools before taking Judas 00-bama's offer as Secretary of Education.

Another Muslim terrorist connected with the Bomber Brothers has been outed and killed. We will spend more on Bomber Brother #2's lawyers and incarceration today alone than it took to rid us this one altogether. Is Virginia going to become a mecca for dead Muslim terrorists?

Online story: "In what has to be one of the lowest moves in parking-enforcement history, New York City ticketed half a dozen cars that had been legally parked only moments before. The difference? The city changed the signs out from under drivers.
* Transportation crews came through to change the signs on West 15th and Seventh Avenue for a new bike-share program in the city. When these cars parked they were legal, but after the 'alternate side, Monday and Thursday' signs became 'No Standing Anytime' they were ripe for parking enforcement. * Twenty-five minutes later officers showed up and started dispensing $115 tickets." -- Where'd these officers get their training... Columbus Metra?
---

McClatchy headline: "With Obama in the dark, administration planned how to stage-manage news of IRS scandal" -- What's it gonna take for McClatchy to stop falling on Judas 00-bama's sword....to learn that 00-bama has taken the executive off his party list?

---

If you swear you haven't broken any laws or regulations, why would you 'take the 5th' on the 1st question some one asks you your name?

---

If Committee Chair Issa doesn't recall Lois Lerner to testify then he needs to be recalled and replaced. Issa should have disallowed her 5th Amendment plea since she had already 'testified' to her innocence before taking the plea route.

---

Any one remember a Congressional Investigation giving Ollie North 5th Amendment rights?

L-E headline/pic: "From Chatterland: Woops! Word misspelled on Central High's yearbook" -

Read more here: http://www.ledger-enquirer.com/2013/05/22/2513004/whats-wrong-with-this-picture.html#storylink=cpy

-- Before we "overreact"... remember when 'new math' said 2+2 may or may not equal 4 and the 5 would be really close? Maybe they are teaching spelling and word recognition via the "Word Jumble" feature of the L-E.

This creep Jodi Arrogant-ass keeps telling us and the jury what she plans to do in jail. Does she think she's going to be assigned to a Junior League and do volunteer work?

---

This Jodi Arrogant-ass says she didn't get a fair trial because her lawyers were getting death threats. Well, she shouldn't have told them what she was going to do.

Reports of a Muslim terrorist attack on a soldier on the streets of London late yesterday afternoon screeched across the Atlantic late yesterday PM. Two Muslims walked up to an unarmed soldier, and carved him up and decapitated him, with a machete or meat cleaver. Didn't say whether they were automatic or manual, but it doesn't matter as much when you know your victim is unarmed. Do you think England will try them as criminals or terrorists?
---

It's absolutely insulting, disgraceful, that Judas 00-bama is making the FBI get US required evidence for a US Court processing of the Benghazi terrorists rather than taking them in as military combatants.

---

Except for the 10-12 minutes he dramatized about the Oklahoma tornado, has anyone seen Judas 00-bama?

---

HuffPost story: "On Wednesday, the New York Times became one of the more influential voices to say what many others have been saying: that the administration's methods are an attack on press freedom." -- Hmmm, OH! sorta like the lobster which thought he was placed in a pot of cold water so it could safely swim, and didn't realize he was in hot water until nearly cooked?
---
Online headline: "DOJ Seized Fox News Phone Records" -- Hmmm, funny that the mainstream media is not upset at this.
---
Did John Kerry know he was 2nd (maybe 3rd or 4th) choice behind Susan Rice? That's even more embarrassing than edging out John Edwards and losing to Bush43 in 2004.

L-E story: "Whitewater on the Chattahoochee officially begins Saturday, but gawkers will have to wait a few months to view the action from the 14th Street pedestrian bridge, city officials said today. * Most of the work on the actual bridge has been completed, but a section of the approach to the bridge on the Georgia side was found to be unstable and had to be replaced, according to Rick Jones, the city’s director of planning." -- "section of the approach to the bridge...found to be unstable and had to be replaced"? Oh, it was safe and stable enough to use while construction was going on, and men and machinery were using it daily, but all of a sudden 'it's not"? Something stinks... and it's not the e-coli below.
---
There's a high society wedding this weekend... an outdoor affair on the grounds of the RiverMill Event Center. Bad timing though as the opening weekend of Whitewater will have enthusiastic launchings there also. RiverMill will lose some business when they start disclosing this to prospective customers for weekend events .

Online headline: "Massachusetts Can Expect More Sharks This Summer" -- Ooops, my bad.. Thought more Kennedys were running for office.
---
Online story: "SPRINGFIELD, Ill., May 21 (UPI) -- Illinois Lottery Officials confirmed eight checks worth a total $9,940 bounced at the beginning of the month. * Officials said the checks issued to winners May 1 bounced because an employee forgot to approve the funds to U.S. Bank before the winners attempted to cash the checks, which ranged from $847 to $2,565, WLS-TV, Chicago, reported Tuesday." -- This amounts to nothing more than a 'kiting' scheme and it's as illegal as it gets.
---
Online story: "Nidal Malik Hasan, the U.S. Army major accused of killing 13 and injuring 32 more in a mass shooting at Fort Hood in Texas on Nov. 5, 2009, has been receiving salary payments totaling $278,000 in the three-and-a-half years since being arrested, NBC Dallas-Fort Worth reported Tuesday. * A spokesperson for the Department of Defense confirmed its continued payments to Hasan, according to NBC, and said the department can't suspend his salary until he has been proven guilty." -- No Way! Call your Congressman and ask him/her to shut off funding for the Commander-in-Chief until this 'practice' is eliminated!
---
Lest we forget:

---
Online headline: "Christie Reelection Backed By Democrats" -- Hmmm, remember when McCain was the mainstream media favorite for the Republican nomination?
---
Online story: "Obama will again repeat his pledge to close the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba where foreign terrorism suspects are held and announce specific steps to achieve that, the official said." -- Congress and the U.S. Supreme Court must stop this man... now!
---
L-E story: "(Whitewater Express's Dan) Gilbert said those who’d prefer to raft on a holiday weekend will find plenty of room left on trips for the next holiday, July 4, because that’s when families usually travel out of town on vacation, rather than stay home to raft. And with so many families vacationing, church and business group bookings also fall off. " -- Wait a minute... July 4th.."that’s when families usually travel out of town on vacation". Well, should that mean that millions of families will be traveling to Columbus to raft all weekend like UPtown & The Committee to Pave the Chattahoochee have promised? Sad thing is, even with a full house of rafters, Columbus will not get any sales tax revenue from the Whitewater Project.
---
L-E "soundoff": "Have we ever had a president who didn’t know as much government activity as Obama doesn’t know? " -- Hmmm, could it be that Judas 0-0bama is that uninformed or simply 'misinformed' by the revisionist history he learned Columbia and Harvard?
---
Low... very low info voter's L-E "soundoff": " The Republican Party has become America’s political al Qaeda. It’s all about them and they’ll do anything and destroy our country to get what they want.
---
In a L-E story, Public Defender Robert Wadkins is quoted: "I want to apologize to this august body. This morning I put this light-colored suit on, even though I knew I was going to attend the funeral of my budget. I know you're supposed to wear more somber clothes to a funeral, so I apologize." -- If his humor is any indication of his court room abilities, maybe the whole budget should be scrapped. Hire Ron White instead.

I'm curious... how did Fried Chicken become a racial slur? No one ion my family would be offended by inferring we liked Fried Chicken.. how about yours?
---
L-E headline/story: "HP’s slumps deepens in 2Q as earnings fall 32 percent * HP’s 10 percent decrease in revenue during the three months ending in April was the largest drop so far during the slump. " -- Like GE, I stopped buying anything HP. Combined with HP's delay in handling a bad hard drive that was under warranty by three months up until the day the warranty ran out and they decided that the delay in handling now was moot since the warranty had expired, and its deletion of printer software & hardware attributes in new replacement printers, I have written HP off my purchase choices.

It's a shame the Whitewater opening ceremonies won't be focused on the original concept of a restored & natural Chattahoochee... the focus will be on the amusement aspect.
