There was one 'winner' in the $590 MILLION Powerball lottery last night. There were over 300 million losers as government agencies gear up to send out this weeks entitlement EBT card refills to those who spent their families' food/housing budget on tickets.

After the embarrassing fact that Marshal Countryman opted to take the word of disgraceful officer who has since been outed for his racist history and spread the rumor/gossip, do you think JudgecArthur Smith owes the community an apology for aligning himself with Countryman for the runoff election?

With the whitewater project set to open this coming weekend, details arise again about the rise in expenses the City can expect. Take the preparedness for emergency & rescue. This will be an extra cost on taxpayers, but guess what, none of the whitewater users will be paying any Sales/LOST or SPLOST taxes that would help pay for it... neither is the Phenix City based Whitewater Express.

---

The Whitewater Project has about $25,000,000.00 injected into it.. what portion has been paid by Phenix City? I think I e=remember between $250K-$500K. Of course, like every other venue based in Columbus, Phenix City makes out like a bandit caliming it for itself: White Water Phenix City - Main

Sorta reminds me of the Uncle Remus stories: Phenix City being Br'er Rabbit and Columbus being Br'er Bear's dumber brother.

---

Hmmm, you know, there's going to be a lot of pressure on GA Power to increase water flow on weekends so the Phenix City Whitewater Project can charge the higher rates, but how is that going to effect Georgia water users living under drought conditions not being able to water their lawns or wash their cars?

Low-info voter's L-E "soundoff": "Some think the president is a Muslim. If so, he certainly OKs a lot of drone sites to kill Muslim enemies of America." -- Hmmm, yeah... but only the Muslims that are making it hard on Judas 00-bama to implement his agenda.

---

Another low-info voter's L-E "soundoff": "Where are we going with hatred of Obama about Benghazi? The president could only state what he was told, So it was not his lie." -- "it wasn't his lie"? How DUMB are DUMBERats? I wish I could say we have found the bottom level of such, but new examples keep coming to "Soundoff". Let me phrase it in someway DUMBERats can relate to it: If the PR team at BP Oil says their President knew nothing about the Gulf Oil Spill until he heard it on the news, would you believe the BP president? No way... neither would smart voters.

I really get frazzled by all the "free food" programs for kids. What are "we" teaching them about the responsibilities they will have when they become parents? Do I condone hungry children? No way! BUT, why do we have so much obesity and obesity concern for children?

Why is it a good thing now that the BTW public housing will be moved from its current location when in the early-to-mid 1990's, when the new Civic Center was beginning to take form, the idea of moving the BTW public housing brought out a host of racial prejudice outcries?

---

It's good that this is happening, but why has Judas 00-bama's assault on the 1st Amendment ignited the ire of the mainstream media when the mainstream media only has yawns for the Judas 00-bama assault on the 2nd Amendment? It's the 2nd Amendment that makes the 1st Amendment safe.

---

L-E commentary headline: "Commentary: What was the Internal Revenue Service thinking?" -- Once again, Leonard "the" Pitts displays his reality ignorance. Unfortunately, the L-E promtes this ignorance. The issue... the question to be asked is "What was Judas 00-bama thinking". Nothing happens at any government agency without the president knowing, approving of the act.

If a campaign donation to a candidate is not tax deductible, why should a donation to a political activist movement be tax deductible. Two of the most outrageous example are www.movingon.com which has a 501 (c) 3 status which makes even George Soros' $1.46 MILLION donation deductible, and www.organizingforaction.com a 501 (c) 4 which makes a donation for 'education' tax deductible whether the Organizing For Action foundation actually spends the money in the way it was solicited.

---

L-E headline: "FALCONS STADIUM * COMFORT ZONES * With new design, Falcons look to woo fans back to the stadium" -- Gimmee a break! Green Bay, with all the ice and cold still packs in its fans in an outdoor stadium. The stadium s not whether fans attend or not attend the event... it's what fans feel about the teams effort that packs'em in!
