May 12, 2013... Happy Mothers' Day and Happy Memories. It's also the first
day of the 6th year of the Breakfast Club. Thanks for joining in.

Online headline: "Eric Holder: Critics Of Civilian Courts Handing Terrorism
Cases 'Are Simply Wrong' -- First, show me how Holder has used the 'civilian'
courts to promote justice? How many Black Panthers went to trial in Philadelphia
for voting intimidation? How quickly did the "shoe bomber" get executed? How
many government officials have been tried in civilian courts fro "fast and
furious"? How many illegal aliens have NOT been to civilian courts? How have
civilian courts handled Judas 00-bama's illegal Aunt Zeituni? There may be a
smidge of truth in Holder's insinuation, but what's wrong is how Holder has
handled cases.

WRBL3 headline: "Orpik's OT goal sends Penguins to 2nd round" -- If you
made me tell you what sport this is talking about, I couldn't do it off the top
of my head....Orpik....Penguins? My first reaction to Orpik makes me think of a
tooth cleaner, but Penguins does make me think about cold and ice, so I deduce
it must be hockey, though it could be Curling. How about you?

Online story/headline: "Well, folks, it appears we're living in times when
Dennis Rodman rips President Barack Obama. Yep. The former Chicago Bulls star
took aim at Obama this week, criticizing him for refusing to speak with Kim
Jong-Un about the ongoing issues with North Korea. * Dennis Rodman Rips Obama
Over North Korea Issue: 'Obama Can't Do S**t' -- Hmmm, wonder if Rodman will get
an invite to "shoot some hoops", after 'shooting' himself in the lip?
---
Online story: " Boston Cardinal Sean O'Malley said Friday that he won't
attend Boston College's graduation because the Jesuit school's commencement
speaker, Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny, supports legislation to permit
abortion." -- And some liberals will criticize the Catholic Cardinal of having
no religious tolerance... DOH! That's his job!!! Praise be!
---
Don't look for it in mainstream media headlines, but the latest reports
show that with the recent run up in legal gun sales also shows a decrease in
crimes.
---
The rest of the mainstream media is in disbelief that ABC broke the story
of the Benghazi "talking points" offered for media explanation had been
edited/redacted 12 times in spite of the White House claim of only 1 "stylistic"
change.
---
Charles Krauthammer nailed it when he said (about the Benghazi assault)
that the White House/State Department "redacted the truth".
---
Looks like the White House has adopted Nixon's ploy of using the IRS to
harass his 'enemies list'. What's next..Judas 00-bama plagiarizing Nixon's
plaintive plea of "I am not a crook!"?
---
That self-proclaimed "Christian" woman who spearheaded Bomber Brother #1's
burial said she did so because Jesus said "love your enemies". What's that got
to do with burying a servant of Satan on American soil? Now the mainstream media
will use this definition to challenge anyone who claims to be a Christian.
---
There ought to be stricter guidelines for student loans being available.
One idea would be yo limit such to 50% of the expected starting salary in a job
the degree is for.
---
No wonder the Department of Homeland Security is loading up on armored
assault vehicles and stockpiling ammo... After the Benghazi investigation, Judas
00-bama is going to have to use them to guard the White House and IRS from Seal
Team 6.
---
Is it just me who notices that the only Mayors, Governors, or Presidents
that initiate planned budget cuts are non-DUMBERats?
---
Texas and NY are advertising for new businesses to locate/relocate there.
Hmmm, as a business owner, I would first look at the state income tax rates...
Hmmm, NY is 8.82% and Texas is "zero-nada-zilch". Here I come Texas!
---
With the infringements on our freedoms being pushed by DUMBERats, we are
more in danger of foreign despots seeing an opportunity to flee to America and
run for President here in 2016. I'm sure the DUMBERats have the software
available to drum up another "American" birth certificate if that's an
issue.

From the "it's not one world" department - Online story: "A California
woman was forced to pay $22,000 in spousal support to her ex-husband, who was
convicted of raping her daughter, and is now fighting his efforts to resume the
payments. * Carol Abar paid her ex-husband until last year, when he struck a
plea deal in the criminal case, agreeing to plead guilty to one of five rape
charges, according to Los Angeles.CBSLocal.com. He was sentenced to more than a
year in jail, and the judge temporarily stopped the spousal support. * Now that
he is out of jail, Ed Abar has filed to reinstate the payments from the mother
of the girl he assaulted." -- I know it's California, but California has 53
Congressional and 2 Senatorial votes on bills/laws that we have to live with.
---
---
What kinda deal is this! This week we were blind-sided by the top
whitewater company backing out of the deal here just 2 weeks before opening, and
were told the remaining company was dropping it's rates to $48.50 (from $80.00)
for the prime afternoon times. Looking on line, I found that the remaining
company's rates at the Nantahala and Ocoee are lower than the 'new rates' quoted
this week. It were really planning to rip us off, or just want us to think it's
now giving us a break. BS.... no.... BS!

L-E headline: "MUSCOGEE COUNTY SCHOOL
DISTRICT * BULLYING REPORTS DROP BY 46% " -- Oooops, my bad...
thought John Wells may have stepped down.
---
Looking at the figures
given for "bullying" at individual schools, it looks like the last year figures
were skewed by overly reactive administrators at a few
schools.
---
I do care what the
parents of students at Marshall and Edgewood feel, but this is not about the
few. Both schools are inadequately populated to be efficient (testing should be
high if student/teachers/administrative ratios are that importanta), and the
school board should take steps to give taxpayers more for their dollar. I also
believe that the school board should have a comprehensive plan to re-use,
maintain for future use, or disposal of the properties to announce before
anything else is done.
---
An 'on the right thought
process' L-E "soundoff": "Sounds like MCSD has
40 more specialists than they can afford … maybe $4 million worth? " -- In the
first Georgia Schools report card covering the 1990 school year, GA did not fund
200 skill jobs in the MCSD system as they were considered "unnecessary" by
Georgia laws' regulations. The significance was that in 1991, the MCSD, with a
then budget total of $54,000,000.00 (for 32,000 students and 5,000
teachers/administrative/other employees). was seeking a $9,000,000.00 bond issue
that would fix every maintenance problem in the system. The correlation? Those
200 employees deemed "unnessary", therefore ?not funded' by state revenues
earned an average of $45,000.00 annually. $45K times 200 equals $9,000,000.00,
the exact figure the bond issue was for. In actuality, the MCSD revenues covered
all costs PLUS the $9,000,000,00 (sought once) EVERY YEAR! Now the MCSD system
still has 32,000 +/- students but the employees are now in the 6,200 range (as
of 3 years ago), and while I don't have the latest Georgia School report card, I
imagine the "unnecessary" teachers/administrative personnel way exceeds 200, and
the average salary packages probably exceed $100K. Do the
math.

American

From
Columbus Council Agenda:
PROPERTY ACQUISITION - PROPERTY AT 0 28TH STREET:
Authorization is requested for the acquisition of property at 0 28th Street for
$50,442.48 from G&M Kennon Properties, LLC. This property is currently
vacant and not suited for development. Property will be used to enhance view of
the river and retain an existing green space along the Riverwalk. Funding for
property acquisition will be from the Community Development Block Grant.
My
response to Council:
It's very disheartening to hear the Mayor screeching about tax freeze
unfairness when the City Assessors don't keep current as it is.
Y'all are contemplating/discussing buying the unimproved property at 0
28thb Street for over $50,000, yet y'all have been carrying it on the books
since 2002 for 1/3rd that value and collecting minimal tax revenues.
Y'all even collected less in 2012 than in 2011.
EWe'll continue to fight removing the freeze as long as Council continues
to be OK with wasting other people's money.
