It's Monday, and a great day to step up the pressure on IRS to reveal the
initiator of the harassment of conservative groups.

Online ABC story: "New Orleans police vowed to swiftly track down the
gunmen who wounded 19 people at a neighborhood Mother's Day parade, the latest
case of violence flaring up around a celebration in the city this year. * It's
not the first time gunfire has shattered a festive mood in the city this year.
Five people were wounded in January after a Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade,
and four were wounded in a shooting in the French Quarter in the days leading up
to Mardi Gras. * Shootings at parades and neighborhood celebrations have become
more common in recent years as the city has struggled with street crime,
sometimes gang-related." -- Ain't no way I'm going to be anywhere near New
Orleans for the Fathers' Day Parade!

Preposterous! That's what I feel needs to be said about the Newtown,CT
school board's announcement to tear down and rebuild Sandy Hook Elementary
school for $56.7 MILLION dollars. The school had a total of 573 students, so a
replacement building to wipe out memories of an (_©_) will cost almost
$100,000.00 per student place, or since it has a 15-to-1 teacher/student ratio,
over $1,000,000.00 per classroom. Mind you, Sandy Hooks Elementary School only
goes through the 4th grade. This is just a blatant example of the liberal
disease as it affects education, and it's not limited to Newtown, CT.

Remember the chilling ads Hillary ran against Judas 00-bama on the 2008
primaries? You know, the one about who do you want answering a 3:00 AM phone
call. Apparently, Benghazi had shown we don't want any DUMBRRat answering
important 3:00 AM phone calls.
---
Pat Smith, mother of one if the men killed in Benghazi, sent a chilling
"Mothers' Day" wish to Hillary. She hoped Hillary has a happy MD with her child,
as she won't because her son was killed.

Taza de lata... the Spanish translation doesn't have the same ring as "Tin
Cup", but in either and both languages, they describe Sergio's finish yesterday
at the TPC.

Online headline/story: "California Realignment Of Inmates Blamed For
Increase In Crime * SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- In response to a federal court order,
Gov. Jerry Brown pushed a novel approach through the Legislature two years ago
to dramatically reduce California's prison population. * People convicted of
felonies that were considered non-violent, non-sexual and non-serious would
serve their sentences in county jails rather than state prisons. Once released,
they would be supervised by local probation officers instead of state parole
agents. * The shift in California's penal system, referred to as "realignment,"
* property and violent crimes increased in 40 of California's 69 largest cities
in the first six months of 2012, the largest such increase in 20 years * Inmates
who serve time in county jails often are not being monitored at all after being
set free, and the number of paroled sex offenders who are fugitives rose 15
percent after Brown's realignment law took effect." -- Oh, and let's not forget
the main crime increase... more votes for Brown, Feinstein, and Pelosi and their
friends....
---
Online headline: "McCain Refuses To Back Impeachment Threat Against Obama"
-- Hmmm, and I agree.. but not for the same reason... The Senate would not come
close to the 2/3rds majority to convict Judas 00-bama, but mainly, I want the
Benghazi cover up to fully unravel, and I enjoy watching the mainstream media
looking at him with the "Judas-eye".
---
After being "hung out to die" at Benghazi, Tyrone Woods' and Glen Doherty's
deaths will have deep repercussions on all current and future Seals and other
combat soldiers representing the US. All future military combatants will forever
have doubt that there is help on the way as they do their duties. Guess that is
what you would call 'collateral damage" of the worst kind... I do.
---
Rumor has it that Hillary is working on a sequel to her book from the 90s.
The working title is, "It Takes A Pillage".
---
Judas 00-bama and the Congressional DUMBERats could solve their 'sequester'
woes simply by firing the editors of the Benghazi 'talking points' papers and
the IRS personnel that targeted conservatives.
---
Gotta drainage problem and you want the City government solve it?
Think again before you call, and best be home when the City 'engineers' get
there. The other alternative would have been street curbing with a set-in drain
sewer. Guess which "solution" cost less? Picture courtesy of the Columbus
L-E.

After an exchange of thoughts with Columbus L-E publisher Rodney Mahone,
I've come to believe that the L-E is run as a vehicle to sell advertising rather
than being a news source people want to come into their homes which is inviting
to advertisers.
---
An "almost gets it" L-E "soundoff": "More
money is spent on education ever in the history of schools and no one is taking
advantage of it. Schools have become babysitters and feeding stations. " -- Some
are taking advantage of it... Locally, children enrolled in public schools
reached 32,000 in 1959. 44 years later, there are still only 32,000 in local
public schools. Private schools have taken advantage of the opportunity to serve
children of parents who see that public education focuses more on programs other
than reading. writing, and 'rithmetic.

From the "it wasn't one world back then
either" department - Online story: "Pope Francis on Sunday gave the Catholic
Church new saints, including hundreds of 15th-century martyrs who were
beheaded (over 800) for refusing to convert to Islam, as he led his first
canonization ceremony Sunday in a packed St. Peter's Square." -- Keep on
believing that there are any non-radical Islamists.... Tyranny is a chameleon
until it gets the upper hand.
---
L-E headline/story: "Supreme Court weighs public school graduation in
church * Last year, the 7th Circuit Court of
Appeals in Chicago ruled that the Elmbrook School District, near Milwaukee,
violated the First Amendment and its ban on “an establishment of religion” by
holding a high school graduation ceremony in the sanctuary of an evangelical
Christian church. * The choice had been
popular with students and school officials for a decade. The old high
school gym was hot, cramped and uncomfortable, they
said. The Elmbrook Church was modern, spacious and air-conditioned. * The appeals court said that turned a public school
ceremony into an “endorsement” of a particular religion. * Nine students and parents, all unnamed, sued the
school district, saying they felt uncomfortable and offended. " -- Just because
no other church has stepped forward to offer the school system its facility, a
federal court has determined that one religion's generosity has been
'established' as an evil under the 1st Amendment, Judges, heal thyself!
PLEASE!

Yesterday, a
Columbus police officer was in our neighborhood to return (or alert the owner) a
gun that had been stolen from his truck a few ago. The owner was not home, so
another neighbor and i went and talked with the officer. Two things came out of
the conversation worth passing along. First, the gun was found at the scene of
an under-aged drinking party in the Lakebottom area. That's scary in itself, but
when I asked about the progress being made in the recent silver thefts in our
area, the officer said he wasn't aware of such. That's even
scarier.

L-E story: "ROME — Roger Federer and Andy Murray believe there
would be no problem if a men’s tennis player comes out as gay. * “I don’t think it would be a problem,” Federer said.
“We’re very relaxed. We don’t play a team sport and see each other all the time"
-- That's earthshaking.... NOT! Why would anyone care about what a top ranked
tennis player says about anything since he has his own private shower
room.
