DNC chair Tom Perez went on a ranting rampage accusing Trump of
"bullying"...Good grief..Trump is just keeping his promise to Make America Great
Again after Perez's Democratic Party did its best to destroy us. Hmm..maybe the
DNC would be better off with the "chair" that Clint Eastwood debated...at
least THAT "chair" did not say stupid things on TV.
---
Rahm Emanuel said Trump's "threat" to cut funding to "sanctuary cities" "is
a joke".. Hmmmm..if Emanuel wants to talk about "a joke", let's just talk about
crime and education in Chicago during his reign..
---
Online story: "America's Ivy League colleges received more than $26 billion
in federal contracts and grants over the past six years, a new report shows. *
Gerri Willis noted their income from government sources "dwarfed" that of
tuition." -- Good grief.. no wonder so many appointed judges are liberal
activist judges set on undoing our Constitution and steal the Legislature's
powers to determine laws.
---
Did you see the snippets of Carl and Rob Reiner talking about Trump on a
late night TV show... you know, if the Reiners had discussed Obama like that,
neither would ever be welcomed again at a Hollywood event.
---
If it was not the norm, it would be funny that no mainscream media outlet
has apologized..nor even just backed off.. for claiming Nunes' info came from
the White House staff.

Interesting weekend..we drove across GA to Fernandina Beach, FL..one of the
most interesting aspects was the condition of the highways. Once we left the
contiguous counties of our T-SPLOST partners, the roads were in much better
condition than ours.
---
One of the strangest road signs we saw was just before the last bridge we
approached before getting into Florida.."Bridge Ices Before Road"..excuse me,
when has road or bridge, for that matter, ever iced over in the SE corner GA?
Just GA DOT waste of tax dollars.

Our North Columbus District 3 Representative, Drew Ferguson, has jumped
into helping our school system.. and our local board probably doesn't know it..
Ferguson co-sponsored bills H.J.Res 57 and 58 which Trump eagerly signed. Of
note, and particular interest is Res 57 which overturned a rule that outlined
nationwide accountability measures rather than allowing state and local leaders
to determine their own accountability standards for local schools. Ferguson
spoke with District 3 education leaders..in areas like Troop and Fayette
Counties.. This new law ensures that state and local leaders in Georgia can
continue determining accountability standards for our students, rather than
federal bureaucrats. -- Hmmm.. you do have to wonder whether the MCSB/MCSD is
too happy with this after Muscogee Cty supported Hellary with 58% of the
vote.

Had reason to do business at the Citizens Service Center last week. It
struck me as funny that there were signs all over the place stating that "This
is a smoke free campus". "campus"? No wonder it sounds like a lib-fest when we
hear how irresponsible our tax dollars are spent/wasted.

L-E headline: "Efforts to revive historic City Mills along the river at
pivotal moment" -- Do any of you remember former Columbusite Joe Richards? HIs
son Tim played football for Brookstone and Vanderbilt. Back in the early mid90s.
Joe tried to get interest in his plan to renovate City Mills into a showplace
restaurant.. Unfortunately, the local inner sanctum of politics and banking was
trying to get the River Club off the ground..and no one woukd help Joe Richards
with his plan or dream...

In an all-SEC matchup, the ladies of South Carolina beat those from
Mississippi State for the "title", but the game was pretty much anti-climatic..
On Friday, the Mississippi State Bulldogs left "everything on the floor" in a
sensational overtime win against the UConn Huskies who were looking for
consecutive win number 112, and its 5th consecutive NCAA championship.. Hail
STATE!

If there was ever a moment of excitement and perplexity for my bride, it
came mid-afternoon on Saturday.. We were in Fernandina Beach, FL for our
forthcoming next grandchild's "reveal", and blue balloons floated out of the
box..We have raised three girls, and my bride is concerned that she has no
experience with boys.. personally, I think she has no reason to be
concerned..she'll figure him out PRONTO.. she's had no problem figuring me
out...
---
You know, by the time 2024 comes around. liberals will not understand how
much they've benefited from Trump's presidency, and the libs will support
another Leftist instead of voting for Pence to continue America's wining
streak..

Online headline/story: "Tina Fey blasts white women for supporting Donald
Trump * Tina Fey blasted college-educated white women who voted for Donald
Trump. * “A lot of this election was turned by white, college-educated women
who now would like to forget about this election and go back to watching HGTV,”
the actress opined during a celebrity Facebook Live fundraiser for the American
Civil Liberties Union. “You can’t look away because it doesn’t affect you this
minute, but it’s going to affect you eventually.”" -- Tina Fey has 2 daughters..
one aged 11, the other 5.. deep down Tina Fey has to feel what women who voted
for Trump felt.. that what mother would want her daughter growing up being
molded by the image of devious, Lying Hellary as her daughter(s) "role model" .
I am so glad my daughters and granddaughter will not be subjected to
"Hellaryism" in their education...
---
Local "Columbus L-E journalist" Chuck Williams claimed in his recent story
that ""... But I believe that the overwhelming majority of journalists care
deeply about getting it right. Because more than anybody, we know that facts
matter." -- Hmmm.. if only this was true.. at times, Chuck seems to go out of
his way to twist ... or leave out...facts...
---
HuffPOOPOO headline: "Michael Moore calls Trump's actions on climate change
'Declaration of War'" -- Good grief.. "climate change" has no chance of survival
if libs send out Michael Moore as a foot soldier.. if "they are right". then
Moore will melt into a blob of toxic waste...

Last week, Mike Owens wrote a sob story about a couple who were robbed of
$22,000.00 in cash they were carrying to buy a car they found on Craig's
list..If it happened as written, then hopefully others will learn a lesson..
even though it was not included in the story.. I bought a car from an ad in the
AJC back in 1996..the owner did not want personal checks.. even preferred a
"cash" deal.. after discussing the issue, I got him to send me a fax of the
title of the vehicle we were talking about, and to accept a "bank check" issued
by my bank. The lesson to be learned is that buying a car sight unseen is too
risky to rushed into. The first tip off was that it was a 4 year old car and
probably had a bank loan on it, and the "owner" did not have a free and clear
title.. secondly.. cash.. $22,000.00 in cash.. is not an easy transaction to
complete in an unknown environment with strangers.

L-E headline: "MUSCOGEE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT * Here’s your child’s chance
to transfer from assigned school" -- You know.. wouldn't it be easier.. more
cost effective, and probably more result oriented to simply reassign teachers to
different schools every 2-to-4 years or so? Swap out one effective school's
staff with a school which is floundering.. if nothing else, the MCSB could learn
whether the changes need to be made in personnel versus curriculum...
---
I'm curious.. a multi-location deli sandwich shop recently attained a
license to sell beer along with its sandwiches.. now it's applied for a liquor
license to sell mixed drinks with their menu item.. I really don't see "the
connection".. I guess next the deli will be adding a new vent system so it can
allow smoking inside.. believe it's time for my family to find another choice
for post-Church meals on Sundays...

How about Russell Henley wining the Shell Houston Open golf tournament!
Obviously, the Columbus L-E had no clue that Russell is married to a Columbus
woman, the former Teil Duncan, daughter of Doug and Sherry Duncan, and a renown
artist on her on accord . Teil is also the blood related niece of my
brother-in-law's wife. which, in the Southern vernacular, makes her my niece as
well. Hey, L-E.. why didn't this win make it to the front page of the Sports
Section.. is this one of those moments that Chuck William's claim that "facts
matter" misses on?
