Where is the heart of mainscream media? Two Christian churches in Egypt were attacked by Islamic jihadists on Palm Sunday, and mainscream media has but yawned.

---
Sudan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Mauritania, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Nigeria, Somalia, Syria, Iraq.. Quick.. what do theses countries have in common? If you guessed they are on the Trump list of countries with temporary US "entry bans" you're "warm".. but not right.. theses are promarily Muslim run countries where homosexuality is punishable by death.

---
From the "here we go again.. to mainscream media, "some people" can be only two out of millions" department - HuffPOOPOO story: "President Trump's decision to bomb a Syrian airfield with 59 missiles Thursday night is being questioned by some U.S. veterans who had previously been deployed to the Middle East. * One criticism revolves around a seeming lack of a clear end goal;" -- Hmmm "seeming lack of a clear end goal"? Good grief.. it seemed pretty clear to me that Trump sent ASSwad a pretty clear message that if he was going to "play with matches, he was going to get burned".. John Wayne was right..."Life is tough, but it's tougher if you're stupid."

Remember yesterday when I wrote about NY wanting to give all its residents a "free" college education? I brought up several caveats about it still would be taxpayers paying big bucks to keep teachers employed (and basically without salary caps). Well, today we get some "clarity" about a "condition" of the
"free" education...Under a provision that was added to the tuition bill at the last moment, students who get a free ride at CUNY and SUNY schools must live and work in New York state for up to four years after graduation, or be forced to pay the money back." -- Hmmm.. talk about  taxpayers and students getting screwed... remember that the "free" college education is for "residents" of NY.. not necessarily "citizens" of NY.. so NY taxpayers will have no recourse if illegal aliens or out-of-country students graduate and repatriate back to their homes .. but worse than that, students who are citizens AND residents of NY and graduate may not be able to find a job in New York that their degree is in, and will end up on the state welfare list for the 4 years of obligatory "work" at minimum wage...I always find it amazing that liberals' "good intentions" never have all the details/scenarios in place.

A Democrat Spinmeister was on Fox saying the first response to any world situation is a soft one...and a military strike is only a last result. Now we see why Obama was so ineffective at negotiations and why Trump's policy of keeping his moves out of the media are so effective. No opponent should be able to figure out,.to know in advance, what America's first response will be.... they just need to think about WHAT it could be.

---
I actually heard another Democrat spinmeister say that if Asswad promised not to use any more chemical weapons, he should be allowed to run his country. Then he added that Trump should do like Obama and give Asswad a chance to honor that "red line". Well Trump did. Trump holds Asswad responsible for keeping the promise he made to Obama.

From the "it's how liberals think.. uh, feel" department - Online headline/story: "Mayor: City of Atlanta now has $175 million in reserves * (Atlanta Mayor) Reed had repeatedly said his goal was to leave the city with a “rainy day fund” of $175 million – the amount the city has in its reserves at the end of his second term as mayor (January, 2018). * “It’s the largest cash reserves that the city of Atlanta has had in its history,” Reed said, adding that the administration was able to accomplish that “without once raising property taxes and without once raising water rates.” * When asked how much of that financial success was attributable to a 3 mil property tax increase passed during the summer before he was elected mayor in 2009, Reed answered: “Almost none.” -- Good grief.. Reed said he had done this "without once raising property taxes and without once raising water rates", yet property taxes are up 3 mils, and property assessments have gone up annually.. I remember "exampling" one woman who bought a home in 2014 for $409,000..it was reassessed for $534,000 in 2015, and $570,000 in 2016, and her property taxes went from $5,400 to $7,300 in that time from $5,400 to $7,300.  While we are at it.. Alanta has an operating budget fund of over $2,000,000,000.00 ($2 BILLION), which, if you use 365 days to compute per diem info, is $5,479 Million per day, so reaching $175 MILLION in "reserves" (read "Fund Balance"), Atlanta has but 32 days.. about the same.. and pitiful at that, of Columbus.

L-E story: "Gov. Robert Bentley resigned Monday rather than face impeachment and pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor campaign violations that arose during the investigation of an alleged affair with a top aide. *  The agreement specifies that Bentley must surrender campaign funds totaling $36,912 within a week and perform 100 hours of community service as a physician." -- Good grief.. "surrender campaign funds"? Perform 100 hours of community service as a physciian"? To begin with, why are politician ALLOWED to accumulate "campaign donation funds" during any period other than the physical year one is actually campaigning in? Next. why are politicians allowed to keep moneys not spent during elections in such accounts for another election campaign, and why aren't such funds returned to the level of government that a politician has been elected to following that particular election? This is especially true for politicians who run unopposed in general elections.

Now about him being sentenced to 100 hours of community service as a physician.. you have to be kidding.. He's 74, and when was the last time he practiced medicine enough to keep up with procedural changes, and new medicine to treat patients?

L-E headline: "MUSCOGEE COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD * Vote on $6.4M Camelot Education contract delayed" -- Delayed for 90 days? What does the MCSD/MCSB hope for.. that Columbus parents will have forgotten about the issue.. that or will be out-of-town on vacation during July?

From L-E story above: "Cathy Williams of District 7 spoke against delaying the proposal. “I’m not willing to sacrifice our children for another year. … We have to do something, and I feel we have to do it tonight.”" -- Good grief.. this is the same person who was chair of the MCSB a few years ago who threw up her hands in frustration and left the board after that term....where was her concern for children then?

---
L-E story: "Sonya Eddings was sentenced to three years in federal prison Monday afternoon, more than five years after her family and world crumbled under the weight of a scheme to steal $2.3 million from the law firm trust account of her then-husband, Michael Eddings. * Sonya Eddings and their daughter, Candace Eddings, who was 16 when the scam was discovered, told the court they wanted to save their family and they were manipulated by Michael Eddings in an effort to preserve his law license. * Sonya Eddings’ story started to change in late 2015 when the court-appointed Barbara H. Agricola of Opelika, Ala., to represent her. Up to that point, she said, she had relied on the legal advice of her then-husband. * “She should have had proper counsel from Day 1 and she was advised otherwise that she didn’t need to,” Agricola said after the sentencing hearing. “... That is just wrong.” -- First, I look for a GA or US  Supreme Court overturn on the basis of "ineffective counsel".. but...how can the GA Bar Association is happy with Eddings keeping his law license? I may have to change my opinion that 99 percent of the lawyers give the other 1 percent a bad reputation.. it looks like there's less than 1 percent we should really respect.

L-E story: "Columbus State University ceremonially broke ground Monday on a project that will renovate and expand 28-year-old Le-Noir Hall to produce a state-of-the-art science facility. * The project, expected to cost an estimated $14 million and be completed by fall 2018, will construct a 22,000-square-foot addition with six new science teaching labs and student study spaces plus two more labs in the renovated building." -- Hmmm..only $14,000,000.00 for 22,000 square feet... let's see.. that's about $636.00 a Square FOOT!   I'm glad one of my daughters graduates this semester and I'll only have to pay the "mandatory fees" each semester for one daughter for the next two years, because I imagine the undesignated use "University Fee" will sky rocket, and a new "Science Fee" will be added and she'll probably not ever go in it.

L-E headline: "Pezold says he won’t seek re-election to Ga. House * BY TIM CHITWOOD tchitwood@ledger-enquirer.com" -- Hmmm.. first we better wait to see if Chitwood announces it's another April Fool's joke column, but I bet Pezold realizes he's been outed as a liberal for his political camaraderie with Mayor Tom-LYING-son and for his anti-Trump support when Trump sent in missiles in response to ASSwad gassing women and children, and he might go broke paying the qualifying fees for all that would challenge him in 2018.

---
L-E headline: "Nine life sentences in state case on Charleston church slayings" -- Good grief.. I'd like to see one death sentence (and it be carried out today) than to see this (_*_) be treated like he's a cat!

L-E editorial "headLIE/story: "EDITORIAL * Ugly process grinds to an end * BY DUSTY NIX dnix@ledger-enquirer.com * As the ultimate outcome of the Neil M. Gorsuch nomination-confirmation process was never in doubt, the most common reaction to Friday’s dropping of the proverbial shoe was probably relief. * Gorsuch was confirmed by a 54-45 vote after Senate Republicans broke a Democratic filibuster by changing — in a simple majority vote —— a longstanding rule and lowered the threshold for confirmation of Supreme Court nominees … to a simple majority vote." -- Once again, Dusty lies.. well at least he doesn't know the truth or how to state such.. Nowhere in the US Constitution did the Founding Fathers say.. even imply.. that it takes 60 votes in the Senate to confirm a presidential nominee for a Supreme Court justice.

Another misdirected L-E editorial headline: "It’s not about the yacht owners * BY CHARLIE HARPER" --
You know.. GA citizens won't lose much if yacht repairs aren't taxed, but Georgia loses 100s of millions in tax revenue when it's representative vote against not making new businesses collect sales taxes that their competitors already must do, or to continue giving out-of-state I-net businesses a competitive edge over local business by not requiring out-of-state businesses to collect the same sales taxes their in-state competition must do.

Have you noticed that the L-E has split it's "Foreclosure Section" into 2 Sections.. I guess the L-E is trying to appeal to bird owners who might think 4 sections sounds like more actually newsprint to line cages with.
