Last night, about
7:30, I decided to pull for Gonzaga.. in spite of my family's strong connection
with UNC.. UNC was my Dad's school.. as it was for my Uncle Hal, my brother,
Tippy and his wife's (a direct descendent of Hinton James - and you Carolina
alum know that name well), and two of my nephews.. I am also pulling for the DOJ
to open an investigation of the NCAA for offering and ultimatum bribe, and one
for the North Carolina Legislature for accepting such. No organization should
have that kind of power in making/overturning laws based ob financial issues.

How unpatriotic... to snub your county's and your patrons' pride.. and your players' opportunity to participate in one of the greatest sports events in the world.. Let's start campaigning that when the US next hosts the Winter Olympics, either cancel hockey, or prohibit the players from the NHL from consideration.

Correction: Yesterday I mentioned that Ivy League schools had been the
recipient of some $26 BILLION in tax dollars over a 5 year period.. My source
was apparently WRONG.. it's more like $41 BILLION! According to a report Opens a
New Window. compiled by the non-profit group Open the Books, America's Ivy
League colleges’ payments and entitlements cost taxpayers more than $41 billion
over a six-year period from fiscal year 2010 to fiscal year 2015. This is
equivalent to $120,000 per student in government aid or $6.93 billion per year.
These are universities with HUGE endowments from alumni, and they still siphon
tax dolars that could better serve the public education sector. Hey Bernie.. now
here's a opportunity to come up with the money to provide "free college
education" to your voter base..

jurist Neil Gorsuch as a new Supreme Court Justice..the current Democrats in
general or the Republicans who supported Obama candidates Kagan and Sotomayor
which has made our Supreme Court so vulnerable to Socialist decisions.
