It addresses real, and well researched, situations that can have a devastating effect on your child's or grandchild's future.

You know, what's missing from the discussions about the "Camelot" alternative school plan is why Dr. Lewis wants desperately to pawn off children to a contractor , and it needs to be brought into the mix. We know removing "problem kids", especially during mandatory evaluation testing periods will allow Lewis to be able to claim overall test grades have improved ..well, at least for a year.. but what about the scars Lewis will give K-4 students who are isolated into an incarceration institute during the years most important to learning to read, and the scars inflicted by their being labeled "problem child" to future teachers and co-students alike. It's apparent that Dr Lewis is more concerned about his future than these students' futures...

Online story: "A U.S. Navy strike group will be moving toward the western Pacific Ocean near the Korean peninsula, a U.S. official told Reuters on Saturday, as concerns grow about North Korea's advancing weapons program." -- Hmmm.. wanna bet Kim Jong Oooops is watching the replays of the 59 Tomahawk missiles that were sent in to that Syrian air base?
---
Remember that movie, "Mr 3,000"... about a baseball player's number of "hits"? Well, I guess soon there will be a sequel. "Mr. 3,003".. It'll be about the 3,003 "street hits" in Chicago since Rahm Emanuel became Mayor.

While it's disappointing to see Augusta National pretty much void of it's usual splendor of azaleas, it's also rewarding to see the natural beauty of the course itself.
---
I'm in a quandary...saw Rory McIlroy playing Augusta National wearing a collarless shirt.. He.. and Nike, should know better, but I'm still more concerned that the Security Guards at the Magnolia Drive gate allowed anyone on the grounds wearing such.

From the "ultimate hypocrisy" department - Online story: "An investigation of Google Inc. has found it systematically pays female employees less than their male counterparts, U.S. Department of Labor officials said, a claim that adds to allegations of gender bias in Silicon Valley. -- Good grief.. Google's founders have not only been outspoken about their disdain for Trump, but were physically and financially active to elect Hellary... now we find out that they have been hypocritical liberals to a fault. Somebody should do a "Google" search up their body cavities.

From the "District 9 Court of Appeals would probably uphold Oregon's Supreme Court on this, so "Welcome Judge Gorsuch" " department - Online story: "An Oregon circuit court judge is battling the war of his life as the predominately liberal Oregon Supreme Court prepares to hear his case of trumped up charges to remove him from the bench. Charges that directly violate his right to practice his religion as protected under the First Amendment. But that is not all he is facing, as it gets much worse for the embattled principled judge. * Marion County Judge Vance Day’s nightmare began when he refused to perform same-sex marriages, instead opting to have his staff refer couples to other judges in the county. As a result of Day standing up for his religious convictions he is now burdened with more than $600,000 in legal fees exceeding five times his salary of $124,628 a year. And to make matters worse, as of Nov. 2016 felony criminal charges has been brought against the Judge as well." -- You know..liberalism in our court system exceeds he danger of having a liberal in the White House.. the courts are where every individual citizen should be treated the same under our Constitution's guarantee of equality for all.

Whatta ripoff...Our GA District 133 Pezold voted to not collect sales taxes on I-net sales or Uber vehicles, but I just went to see my granddaughter dance at her year end review, and got charged $1.12 in sales taxes on each $14.00 ticket. What are the priorities of politicians like Pezold..to want to give some businesses an advantage over other businesses, yet charge sales taxes for parents, siblings, and grandparents to see their l'il angels dance?
---
Once again, GA District 133 "Republican" Pezold reveals his liberal orientation.. He proudly expressed his disappointment in Trump's response of sending in 59 Tomahawk missiles to send a message to Syria's ASSwad that gassing women and children will not be tolerated as in the past. Yes, Pezold joined hands with the likes of McCain, Graham, UpChuck Schmoozer, Nancy Pelosi, Diane Feinstein, Hellary, Bernie and Elizabeth Warren by posting older, pre-presidency "tweets" Trump issued that seem to contradict his orders. Well.. when Trump "issued" those, he wasn't president, and was not in charge of America's safety and world leadership position. Thank you for standing up for America's ideals, President Trump..now what do you say, Pezold?

And another major store closes shop in Columbus.. "hhgregg" just went silent.. joining Sears/K-mart as recent victims of economic turmoil over the previous 8 years. Yes President Obama.. in it's own way, just another victim of your failed legacy.
---
The GA DOT is busy.. not at keeping our hiways travelable, but at spending money (because its available) on new high priced intersection designs. It seems that "roundabouts" may be a tiring trend in the planning rooms.. we've seen first hand how the clover leaf ingress/egress ramps off the J.R. Allen Parkway proved so dangerous that one section had to be closed altogether, so now the GA DOT wants to try its new DDI (Diverging Diamond Interchange) at the intersection of Buena Vista Road and I-185. It could work, but it will take drivers with reading.. and reading comprehension.. skills, skills that are not being well conveyed in our school system.. to work.
---
L-E headline: "COLUMBUS PUBLIC LIBRARY * Library listed among ‘10 Most Beautiful’ -- Upon closer scrutiny.. the headline is a shade misleading..The "10 Most Beautiful" list is not acomprehensive one.. just a list in GA.. Seeing as we are either the 2nd or 3rd largest city in GA, we SHOULD be represented.. and .. there is no "order" given to rank to show that Columbus's is the 1st or 10th on the list.
---
From the "liberals just cannot comprehend that a leaner, better selected staff composition works better than just hiring 'the usual suspects' " department - Online story: "More than two months into his term, President Donald Trump's State Department and Pentagon remain without people in many important administrative and leadership positions. * In Foggy Bottom, where Trump ushered out several top officials on short notice after taking office, more than half of the positions on the department's leadership chart are held by acting officials or are vacant, including the counselor to the secretary of state and the deputy secretary of state." -- Good grief..a lot of this has to do with Trump not getting Cabinet picks approved promptly so they can be involved in selecting their staff, but.. BUT a lot has to do with sorting out the damages previous staff has created/left and getting better qualified replacements who will be loyal to our country.

From the "please define 'free' again" department - Online headline/story: "New York may become the largest state to offer free public college this year * A $163 billion budget agreement could result in New York becoming the largest state to offer free tuition at all public colleges and universities, the Washington Post reported Saturday. * The scholarship program will begin covering state residents with an annual household income of $100,000 or less in the fall of 2017; the limit will increase to $110,000 in 2018 and to $125,000 in 2019. The state will step in to cover tuition costs for full-time students who take at least 30 credits a year and for whom federal Pell Grants and New York's Tuition Assistance Program have been maximized, according to the Washington Post. It does not cover additional expenses like textbooks or room and board." -- Hmmm.. "free"? First, a $163 BILLION budget comes from tax collections and there's nothing "free" about that.. second, Pell Grants are collected from taxes.. again.. there's nothing 'free' about that..third.. it doesn't cover the cost of books nor boarding.. and there's nothing 'free" about that.. and I'll bet you up front, "free tuition" does not include the mandatory semester/quarterly "fees" every student is charged. Oh.. and as this is worded, it covers residents.. it doesn't say "citizens" so non-citizens and illegal aliens can claim they are residents...Hmmm.. NY taxpayers may be forced to move to other states, so the students getting a "free" education may just have to pay for it themselves..
Hmm.. wonder if NY's "free" tuition plan includes any commitment to live and pay taxes in NY AFTER earning a "free" degree and help pay for the next students' "free" education?

Congratulations to Sergio Garcia.. 2017 Masters winner...of course. there will always be an "asterisk" by his name... reminding us that Dustin Johnson had to drop out due to an injury sustained rom a fall the night before the start.

Online headline: "Judge Jeanine Challenges GOP: 'Put Your Big Boy Pants On,' Get Behind Trump" -- Good advice for the National Republican Party... good advice here in the Columbus for GA District 133 Representative John Pezold who has joined hands with liberals McCain, Graham, Hellary, Obama, Nancy Pelosi, UpChuck Schmoozer, Diane Feinstein, Bernie and Elizabeth Warren to whine about Trump sending 59 Tomahawk missiles to a Syrian air base in a message sending response for ASSwad gassing women and children.
---
Online headline: "Palm Sunday attacks: 44 dead, more than 100 injured in church bombings carried out by ISIS in Egypt" -- The headline doesn't convey that the churches bombed were Christian... I guess, mosques and Ramadan will .. should.. no longer be protected issues..

From Columbus Council Agenda: "FINAL PAYMENT FOR INTERNET SERVICES PROVIDED BY AT&T - It is requested that council approve the final payment to AT&T, in the amount of, $10,813.68, for the provision of Internet Services. Per RFP 16-0013, the city entered into a contract with WOW! Business Solutions to provide Internet Services. The RFP was required to replace the existing 50Mbps circuit (provided by AT&T) to a minimum 1000Mbps circuit. The upgraded internet services would give the city the ability to run complete systems from a secure cloud environment and perform daily backup offsite for better continuity of service. Additionally, the new internet service would also improve general performance of all web-based services and eliminate the need for some of the other Internet related services procured by the city." -- Good grief.. after nearly 14 years of using WOW (was Knology), I had my fill of weak services and ever expanding costs, and was fortunate to have an option for another I-net/Cable service in my neighborhood.. Why would the City WANT to change TO Wow? Besides,,what's this about feeling that a "cloud environment" is secure...ask Hellary and the State Department and the DNC.

How about a "shout out" to Capt. Michael Rose and Master Sgt. Josh Horsager
for topping the 53 teams that qualified for the 34th Annual David E. Grange, Jr.
Best Ranger Competition at Ft. Benning.. These guys are GOOD! Last place in
this competition is GOOD, too!

L-E headline/story: "MONDAY MAIL * Leftists coddle killer aliens * Back on
March 2, I wrote a piece about Georgia’s homicide by vehicle law after a woman
was charged with multiple misdemeanors in a one-car wreck that killed two
children. * The point of the article was to explain the circumstances that
distinguish a misdemeanor vehicular homicide charge from a felony. * Some people
found this absolutely fascinating. * Not the law, but the driver’s having a
Hispanic name and no driver’s license, and an inability to speak English. * They
concluded she must be an illegal alien, and if an article on the homicide by
vehicle law didn’t make a big deal out of that, then The Liberal Media was just
covering it up." --- Hmmm...After all Chitwood has said and done.. the question
was never answered.. was the driver legally in this country.. our community? A
"yes" or "no" response will suffice.. and a lot of trees will be saved versus
another wasteful column..
---
L-E headline/story: "Scarlett Johansson says Ivanka Trump ‘baffles me’ *
Scarlett Johansson says Ivanka Trump could have a “big impact” by being vocal,
and she’s baffled by the first daughter’s reluctance to take a public stance on
controversial issues related to her father’s administration." -- Good grief.. I
and most of the world are "{baffled" at how ScarJO can breathe, chew gum, and
walk at the same time. Here it is ScarJO.. I'll type it real slow for you:
"I-v-a-n-k-a T-r-u-m-p i-s n-o-t in- c-h-a-r-g-e o-f h-e-r f-a-t-h-e-r's
o-f-f-i-c-e,, For the record, neither were Malia or Sasha Obama, nor Chelsea
Clinton, nor Barbara or Jenna Bush.

L-E headline/story: "Coffee and Coloring Club for Adults * A relaxing
activity to de-stress and create beautiful artwork at the same time. 4-5:30 p.m.
Coffee and all materials will be provided. Free. North Columbus Public Library,
5689 Armour Road. 706-748-XXXX" -- Good grief.. bet this place has been FULL
with a waiting line since November 9, 2016 after Trump was elected as our new
president! I just want to know WHY the rest of us are having to pay for
liberals' therapy sessions?
L-E headline/story: "Calendar, sale of vehicles on board agenda * Other
issues will also be discussed * The board will consider the appointment of
Sharon Hester and Monique Baucham to the Muscogee County Library Board." -- You
know.. I'll vote for either or both of them if they promise to stop giving away
free coloring books and crayons to "adults" at the North Columbus Public
Library.

From the "of course I know the answer.. I'm a liberal writer" department -
L-E guest commentary headline.story: "How Korean schools are doing it better *
BY ANDRES OPPENHEIMER * Miami Herald * I spent a recent afternoon at the Seoul
Robotics High School, a vocational school where students learn to build and
operate robots, as part of my research for a forthcoming book on automation and
the future of job * I had long known, from visiting similar schools in China
and Singapore in recent years, that Asian youths study much harder than their
Latin American counterparts." -- Hmm... aside from singling out Latin Americans
versus most American students.. Writer Oppenheimer forgets two important aspects
of the difference in public education in South Korea and America.. In South
Korea, there are no jobs contracted out to "Camelot" to run alternative schools,
and.. all students and parents KNOW that the public education system is not...
IS NOT .. a daycare system...
