From the "as Ronald Reagan would oft say, "Well, there you go again" department - HuffPOOPOO headline: "Poll: 42 percent say Trump’s legacy as president will be one of the worst in US history" -- Hmmm.. 42% of the HuffPOOPOO fan club believe Trump will be "ONE of the worst presidents"... that means that 58% do not believe this! .. and in politics.. particularly leftist/mainscream media politics.. Trump wins by a landslide..

You know, what mainscream media doesn't understand is that Trump's main thoughts are not like theirs.. Trump doesn't seek to be "liked" by everyone, he seeks excellence and results that will benefit this nation and everyone who supports it.

From the "the 5 year-olds rule" department - We dined as a family last night..my bride, myself, 2 of our daughters plus our delightful 5 year-old granddaughter. At the end of the meal, our nearly 21 year old said she could really use a nap..5 year-old Sophia said she could use Big's ( that's me) shoulder. Maggie responded "that won't work..I need a bed".. Without missing a beat, Sophia said, "I can't help you with that".

Mainscream media was fuming yesterday as it covered a press meeting between Trump and Puerto Rico's Governor Rossello. Rossello was so complimentary of the aid that occurred under Trump's directives that any contrary questions by mainscream media were shot down before they took flight.

Why do Democrats and mainscream media fight so hard against tax cuts? Every major one in the past has jump started the economy, and increased the tax revenues to higher levels.

"all Democrats are equal.. but some are MORE EQUAL than others".

While Governor Scott of Florida was right in protecting the rights of people to speak, the publicity he generated about spending $600,000.00 to insure this right for all, Scott's public reaction probably generated the impulse for followers and protesters to assemble. The Florida Democrat who criticized President Donald Trump this week for being "insensitive" toward the widow of a U.S. soldier slain in Africa might be facing similar criticism herself. * It turns out that U.S. Rep. Frederica Wilson has frequently voted against measures intended to help veterans and their families, according to VoteSmart.org, a vote-tracking site whose founding board members included former presidents Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford. * The measures that Wilson opposed included a bill that could have ensured that families of four soldiers slain in Afghanistan in 2013 received death and burial benefits." -- Good grief.. From the "why can't politicians be more like Trump" department - Online headline/story: "Warner Robins mayoral candidates give plans to get city out of $1.6 million budget hole" -- Good grief.. the 3 were all asked these 2 questions: "Question 1: There's been a lot of talk about developing a downtown and keeping millennials in the city of Warner Robins or drawing them back after college. What tangible things will you do during your four years, besides maintaining the TAD (Tax Allocation District), to make sure downtown Warner Robins looks different than it does now? Meaning, the area of Watson Boulevard closest to robins Air Force Base." and "Question 2: This year, Mayor and Council voted to readjust the salaries of every city employee to fix other issues regarding retention. But, that decision was costly and and spent $1.6 million out of reserve funds. That expenditure also added five new police officer positions. But, because it is salaries that will be a yearly cost and the City's Chief Financial Officer has told us repeatedly they will not be able to afford after this fiscal year. As mayor, what will you do to find the money to pay for that going forward? Please remember mayors alone do not have the authority to raise lower or keep taxes steady.".. To a man all they could come up with was increase taxes and spend more.. if the Warner Robins voters just looked at Columbus and saw that "diving" into the "fund balance" just guarantees more tax increase down the road, the voters would go to the polls and vote for "None of the Above".
Now, how come Warner Robins gets to vote on mayors and Council races on November's General Election date while we in Columbus have to vote on such during May while the party primary races are being conducted.. and while I'm at it, why don't Columbus voters get to vote on SPLOSTs in November as well rater that "out of the air dates the MCSD/MCSB thinks will guarantee a low turnout favorable to such?

In September a year ago, the rate was 5.4 percent. * Metro area data released Thursday showed no change in the Columbus job total since September 2016, with it remaining at 121,000. Macon and Rome also saw no gains, with Albany and Brunswick the only metro areas losing jobs since this time a year ago * Of course, Atlanta added the most jobs over the past 12 months at 68,300. But Athens also gained 4,000, Augusta picked up 4,900 and Savannah increased by 4,300." -- Hmmm.. Hmmm.. The 3 cities in the same range as Columbus saw better than 4,000 jobs each in increase.. and Columbus saw zilch.. It's even worse for Congressional District 2 Representative Sanford Bishop.. Columbus stayed "zilch" but Albany actually lost jobs and Macon saw no new ones either.
