What is it with Kim Jong Oooops? He's 5' 7", about 300 pounds, and looks more like a cannon ball with a short dud fuse than nuclear threat.

From the "Fred Sanford, "It's the big one Elizabeth, I'm coming to see you" department - Online story: "A U.S. judge in California on Wednesday refused to block President Donald Trump's decision to end subsidy payments to health insurers under Obamacare, rejecting a request by Democratic attorneys general from 18 U.S. states. * U.S. District Judge Vince Chhabria in San Francisco sided with the Trump administration, saying the government does not have to make the payments while litigation over the subsidies unfolds. * Chhabria, appointed by Democratic former President Barack Obama, wrote that although the case appears to be a close call "it appears initially that the Trump administration has the stronger legal argument."" -- Harvey Weinstein is toast, Hellary/Comey/Lynch are back under the magnifying glass, and now an Obama appointed, US District 9 judge of Northern California issues a decision that supports the US Constitution.. Whoa! We better check and see how this alignment compares to the Book of Revelation.

Parcel 098 003 002 a.k.a. 5150 Macon Road (old Harmony Club)

This parcel was bought sold in 2007 for $2,100,000.00 then foreclosed on by the seller on 2009,.. yet in 2016 was carried on the Tax Books as valued at $1,553,110 and even lower after the new assessment ($1.538.795.00).

Of course, John Pezold.. not-soon-enough-but-soon-to-be Ex-District 133 Representative and front spokesman for eliminating the tax freeze is involved. Seems funny at how his freeze protected home, and another home he owns all had lowered FMVs, too, following the new assessments.. am I going to have to check all his family's properties to see if the pattern continues?

You know, as I recall Mayor Tom-LYING-son's argument is that the City was losing money on properties that are carried on the books below the value they should be taxed on yet this very valuable property on Macon Road ( Parcel 098 003 002 ) and Pezold's personal home seem to defy her logic and claims.

From the "wonder what the real motive is" department - Online headline/story: "Saudi Arabia just announced plans to build a $500 billion mega-city that's 33 times the size of New York City * Now the Saudi Arabian government has come up with a project that could give its economy a boost: a $500 billion mega-city that will connect to Jordan and Egypt and be powered completely by renewable energy." -- "powered completely by renewable energy"? Hmmm...sorta implies that Saudi Arabia has a plan to eventually make a move that jacks up the price of oil while making itself independent of it..

From the "here's a better way to make a point" department - Online headline: "NAACP warns African-Americans about flying on American Airlines" -- Good grief.. the NAACP would be more effective for our country if it recommended that all African-Americans stop voting for Democrats!

---
From the "did you even know this was going on" department - Online headline/story: "DOJ ends Holder-era ‘slush fund’ payouts to outside groups * The Justice Department announced Wednesday it will no longer allow prosecutors to strike settlement agreements with big companies directing them to make payouts to outside groups, ending an Obama-era practice that Republicans decried as a “slush fund” that padded the accounts of liberal interest groups. * In a memo sent to 94 U.S. attorneys' offices early Wednesday, Attorney General Jeff Sessions said he would end the practice that allowed companies to meet settlement burdens by giving money to groups that were neither victims nor parties to the case. * Sessions said the money should, instead, go to the Treasury Department or victims. * “When the federal government settles a case against a corporate wrongdoer, any settlement funds should go first to the victims and then to the American people—not to bankroll third-party special interest groups or the political friends of whoever is in power,” Sessions said in a statement." -- Good grief.. our tax dollars have basically been funding Soros, and every other left-wing proponents efforts to undermine America's FUTURE! Go TRUMP!

Keep it up! The NFL boycott that is.. there are indications that there will be cut backs on the number of NFL games televised per week in an effort to boost viewers interests in watching limited numbers of games.. Hang tough! The truth is that advertisers are seeing fewer "customers" in the stands, and that means fewer "customers" are tuning in to watch on TV as well. The boycott will work like Novocaine.. it takes a while to get into the system, but you can't stop it once in.

Mayor Tom-LYING-son's Senate hopes just went "poof". The L-E story on drugs, gangs, and the escalating crime rates just went state-wide.. the L-E story, "Columbus business leaders concerned about drugs, violence and economic development" by BY ALVA JAMES-JOHNSON was picked up in the "Georgia 10X10 - Top 10 Stories By 10:00a.m." statewide e-flyer.

L-E headline/story: "Wright pushes to legalize casino gambling — again * Wright asked councilors to pass the same resolution that they passed last year, directing the city’s legislative delegation to push for legislation to authorize a statewide referendum for a constitutional amendment that would allow citizens to vote on the issue. * Under the proposal, council would request a local referendum if the constitutional amendment is adopted, giving local residents an opportunity to approve or reject casino gaming in Muscogee County. * The money from gambling would go to fund Hope scholarships." -- "money from gambling would go to fund Hope scholarships"? Good grief.. this sounds like the game plan the MCSD SPLOSTS use to sway votes... do it "For the Children" while the truth is, do we want our children believing there is anything good in evil.. While you can say there is good in the intentions of the Hope Scholarships, they no longer are sufficient for most students.. what the lottery funds have basically done is escalate college costs to families at much higher rates than inflation has caused. Throwing more money at the problem will not help.

L-E headline: "Colorful new sculpture unveiled at CSU downtown campus" -- Hmmm.. the RiverCenter has its "Viagra Falls" sculpture, and now 12th & Broadway have its "Tetris Towers".. Hmmm.. would loved to have been "a fly on the wall" at the meeting where the Historic Columbus Foundation/Facade Committee was told it was to welcome this with silence.

From a L-E story on odd information: " Seventy-eight percent of NFL players are bankrupt two years after finishing their careers." -- Guess we'll see a new category added after this year.. number of NFL owners declaring bankruptcy after this season.

---
L-E headline: "Council supports idea of interstate in Columbus" -- Just curious.. but with the fact we already have I-185 north to I-85, wouldn't it be easier.. quicker, and less expensive to tie in I-85 from Montgomery to pass through Columbus to 1-75 in Macon, and to I-16 from Macon to Savannah and then connect I-85 in Montgomery to I-20 in Meridian?

---
L-E headline/story: "Valley Hospitality in as RiverMill management firm * Columbus-based Valley Hospitality Services through It’s Your Day Catering will assume management and food service responsibilities beginning Feb. 1, said Frank Morast, the president of the Hospital Authority of Columbus. In 2014, the authority purchased the riverfront property, which is on the site of the former Bibb Mill." -- One question.. and one observance.. Question: What in the world is the Columbus Hospital Authority doing in the Event Center business? Observance: another connection with our "not-soon-enough-but-soon-to-be Ex-District 133 Representative"..Just wondering....
