50 or more were killed and at least 200 wounded at a concert in Las Vegas..KaeperPRICK.. NFL Roger Goodell..how does it feel now to protest our brave men and women protecting your rights to be petty?

---

You know, with the NFL TV views and game attendance down, do you think the sponsors/advertisers have thought about the fact that the patrons not watching anymore are actually the demographic group advertisers are trying so hard to reach?

---

Wonder if Anheuser-Busch will try to create a new line of beer to recapture the beer drinkers who are no longer buying NFL sponsor's known products.. Maybe something like "Dud Flite".

---

From the "the reliving bad dreams" department - Remember 1974 when it was exciting to see the first headline that read, "O.J. Simpson: Juice on the loose"? Not so much anymore...

---

From the "why don't Pelosi and Schumer tell Democrats that they should read this before they vote on it" department - Online story: "the President’s tax plan aims to accomplish a number of tasks, such as:

1 - Reducing the number of personal income tax brackets from seven down to three — just 12 percent, 25 percent and 35 percent

2 - Doubling the standard deduction for married and single filers to $24,000 and $12,000, respectively

3 - Increasing the child tax credit for children under 17 years old

4 - Giving a $500 tax credit to those caring for the elderly and other adult dependents

5 - Cutting the corporate tax rate to 20 percent and cutting small business tax to 25 percent

6 - Eliminating the estate tax and offering write-offs for companies that move their manufacturing plants to the U.S.

You know, if Democrats had passed this law during Obama's terms in office, Donald Trump would not have even RUN! America would already be attaining greatness again...

Looking back... you know, the NFL put it's regulations about standing respectfully for our National Anthem ceremony in before it was ever an issue.. this tells me the NFL anticipated the current movement long before it became reality.. Shame on the NFL for not... as Barnie Fife would have advised... stepping forward and "Nip It In The Bud".

---

From the "National HS Coach of the Year nomination" department - Online headline/story: "Texas high school football players kicked off their team for protesting during national anthem * Sophomore Cedric Ingram-Lewis and his cousin Larry McCullough were kicked off their team at Victory & Praise Christian Academy, the Houston Chronicle reported. The pair didn't play in the Friday night game for their private church-affiliated football program in the Houston suburb Crosby. * Ingram-Lewis raised his fist during the anthem while McCullough took a knee. Coach Ronnie Mitchem kicked them off the team when the anthem ended." -- Hey, Ingram-Lewis and McCullough... you'll thank Coach Mitchem later...

---

My brother-in-law gets 4 UGA season tickets, and talks about how much more expensive they've become over the last 3 or 4 years..not only the tickets themselves, but the "donation " just to be able to buy them. Saturday, I was looking at the UGA team roster, and I think I found out the reason...the football staff numbers 38 people!

---

Tennessee fans expected the Georgia game to be rough...what they didn't expect was Tennessee wearing such ugly uniforms.

---
While not an actual witness to the game, one cannot ignore the possibility that certain Oakland Raider players were not so professional in their game against the Redskins. Sorta undermines the claims about them suffering from injustices.. does . "throwing the game" or "shaving points" mean anything?

---

L-E headline/story: "Ornaments showing old Muscogee courthouse go to Governor’s Mansion

* On Sept. 25, Tomlinson sent the two ornaments to the the Governor, along with a letter wishing him and his family a joyous holiday season." -- Hmmm... and the CHRISTMAS ornaments are going to hang on the Governor's CHRISTMAS tree.. It would be nice if the L-E and Mayor Tom-LYING-son would have referred to this as something other than the "holiday" season.

---

Well.. the homicide number is up to 33 through September (unless someone else died on Saturday night and the L-E hasn't printed it yet).. Anyone have a record of the most ever in Muscogee County?

---

Seen the required circulation declaration of the L-E .. in the L-E? Looks like a couple of more thousand have dropped it ..

---

The NFL really is in deep dodo..Went to lunch yesterday, and the manager purposefully changed the channel when the Falcon game came on...Tipped him $10.00 on our way out.

---

As bad a spectacle as the NFL is making in "packaging its image". nothing is worse that the players kneeling at the games in England..

---

Another High School "Coach of the Year Nominee" Online headline/story: "EPIC! Entire high school football team runs onto field with American flags! * The National Football League could learn a lesson about patriotism from the Fannin County High School Rebels in (Blue Ridge) Georgia." -- These kids and Coach Greg Chambers lost the game, but won the hearts of real America!

---

Whoopi Goldberg is such a hypocrite..she rants about social injustices, and stereotyping yet takes money offered to take the role of Mama Zho Zi, the 3-headed monkey queen, in the Russian produced movie "Hero Quest". Maybe "The View" will offer her enough money that she'll take the role of deaf mute on show.

---

Liberals on social media web sites run in packs like hyenas. If you expose one's errors, they don't even try to refute using verifiable facts, they just band together and try group bullying.. and labeling.

---

When i first saw the "PRESIDENTS APPEAL FUND" ad come on with Obama saying we just had recent disasters in our country, the first thing I thought of was his two terms of office, and his Apology Tour.

---

L-E COMMENTARY/headline/story: "FBI sting brings back memories of local probe * BY CHUCK WILLIAMS * In his column, Thamel asked an unnamed former NCAA official how deep this scandal might go. The answer: “This may be the biggest college sports story of our lifetime and, ironically, the least surprising. * Especially if you lived in Columbus when Tony Adams was the city’s Parks and Recreation director" -- Wow, a second good =column by Chuck Williams.. maybe he's padding his esume to send out for a new job in the future.. espcially after reading the huge drop in L-E circulation numbers.. but.. BUT.. Chuck left out 2 items "inquiring minds would STILL like to know.. 1 - what exactly did Adams and Porter do to fulfill the "community service" part of their sentences, and 2 - who was the CB&T (now Synovus) officer who authorized that "government" account.. no name has been released, but we know that no teller/secretary could have opened a Columbus Government account without proper City and CB&T approvals.

---

Online headline: "Trump Has Lost the Most Support in These States Since November 2016" -- Hmmm.. let's see... out of the 15 listed. 2 went for Hellary, and 13 for Trump in 2016.. While liberals foam at the mouth for "stories" like this, I'll bet right now, that Trump has a better chance to win the two "Hellary" states in 2020, MN & CO, than the Democrat nominee winning any of the 13 states that went for Trump.

---

Did any see the irony of Illinois Congressman Luis GutiƩrrez being in Puerto Rico ranting about President Trump.. Hey Congressman GutiƩrrez, why are you on the streets of Puerto Rico and not on the streets of Chicago trying to stop the bleeding.. More of your Chicago voters die in your streets annually than if you tallied the total deaths of a Hurricane Maria death toll in Puerto Rico each year of this Century.

---
From the "what's new" department - L-E headline/story: "VETERANS PARKWAY * Roadway project misses original completion date * The widening of a roughly 1-mile stretch of Veterans Parkway in north Columbus has moved past its original Aug. 23 completion date. “The project is currently behind schedule and estimated completion is summer of 2018,” the Georgia Department of Transportation said." -- Let's see.. that'll make the completion date about 4 years from the original "start" date.. basically the same as it took to complete the shorter Whittlesey Road widening between Whitesville and Veterans..Two other things are"suspect.. it's taken 6 weeks for the L-E to report the additional delay, and there's no indication whether it will cost taxpayers more money or whether the contractor is being penalized for not completing the contract on time.

---
L-R headline: "Poor conditions shutter (Muscogee County) jail kitchen
Whether the facts were left out or edited out is not as important as "what are the facts" about what it will cost daily for the mobile kitchen to feed the prisoners, and what was the first date the condition of the existing floor was submitted as a problem that needed solving?

---
