From the "Build That Wall... on the California state line" department - Online story: "California’s governor, Jerry Brown, on Friday signed a law that lowers the penalty for exposing partners to HIV from a felony to a misdemeanor, which includes those who donate blood without informing the center about their HIV status. * “Today California took a major step toward treating HIV as a public health issue, instead of treating people living with HIV as criminals,” Sen. Scott Wiener, D.- San Francisco" -- Good grief! Now California will have tougher laws about bringing fruits and veggies into the state than what its citizens and visitor can take with then out of the state.

From the "day late, a dollar short" department - Online headline/story: "Jerry Jones says Cowboys players who disrespect the flag will not play * Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said on Sunday that the team will not tolerate players who "disrespect the flag" or protest the national anthem. * Speaking after the Cowboys lost 35-31, thanks to a last-minute drive from Aaron Rodgers, Jones said any players who disrespect the flag "will not play." * "If there's anything that is disrespectful to the flag, then we will not play," Jones said (via ESPN). "We will not ... if we are disrespecting the flag, then we will not play. Period." -- Maybe he should have made this statement BEFORE the Green Bay game.

---

From the "now what will they drink" department -- Online story: "Gov. Jerry Brown declared an emergency in eight counties, including Napa and Sonoma in the heart of wine country, as at least 15 new fires burned across the northern half of the state" -- Hmmm... well, it seems in California that you aren't guaranteed water unless you're a "snail darter", and now next year's wine supply just went up in smoke...Hmmm.. wonder how California liberals will tolerate each other?

---

It's almost funny that mainscream media wants to "cost out" VP Pence's Colt's game experience.. Does any one remember how upset mainscream media got when the Obamas took separate jets to Martha's Vineyard.. and then had "BO", their dog flown in with it's 'nanny" on another? Me, neither..

---

From the "mainscream media doesn't get this... either" department -- Online story: "A former Atlanta TV anchor on Monday entered the race to represent Georgia’s 6th District, placing a calculated bet that he can succeed where Jon Ossoff failed in flipping the suburban Atlanta district. * Bobby Kaple, who resigned recently from the local CBS affiliate to run for office, said he’s focusing his Democratic campaign against Republican U.S. Rep. Karen Handel on a pledge for “affordable, accessible healthcare” and a vow to work across party lines." -- Good grief.. somebody explain to Kaple how "the system" works.. Hey Bobby.. you might want to watch a few episodes of "Beat Bobby Flay".. you'll have to beat Ossoff in the preliminary to get a chance to "Beat Karen Handel".

You know, having our local political races be deemed "non-partisan" has become a big joke to Columbus' Mayor Tom-LYING-son. She just appeared on MSNBC (My Sorry Nogood Biased Commentary) pushing her future political move by claiming Democrat status.

---

Senator Feinstein of California freely admitted that there are no old or new laws that would have stopped the massacre in Las Vegas , but that hasn't stopped her from introducing a new gun ban law.

---

Chelsea Manning...why does "she-it" feel it necessary to show us that "she-it" is not a man. The world pretty well knew this when"s he-it" became a traitor to our men in uniform.

---

You know....it would be real nice if the dump/waste management company would manage the "dumpy" eyesore it created just by being on Veterans Parkway.

L-E story: "Columbus State University and the Muscogee County School District took their partnership to a higher level Monday as they started a two-day conference to help them better prepare local students for the workforce. * Approximately two-thirds of MCSD’s teachers are CSU graduates, and approximately half of CSU’s students are MCSD graduates. That’s why, during an interview with the Ledger-Enquirer, CSU president Chris Markwood called the university’s relationship with the school district an ecosystem of education." --  You know.. it's admirable that CSU and MCSD are working to get on the "same page" but is that fair to all students? Long have I been an advocate that our High School graduates be prepared for college or entering the work field... and READY to assimilate into society productively after graduation, but will students with dreams of bigger dreams of universities far away be able to compete for those spots?

---
L-E headline/story: "MUSCOGEE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT * Residents want teacher who used N-word fired * (a parent asked this question), “How can we as parents tell our kids there is justice and justice for all?” -- How? By acknowledging "justice for all" includes ALL people... regardless of race..This child would be better served if the parents supported her by encouraging the child to be forgiving of someone who erred.. and very wrongfully, but has apologized humbly and been punished for such. Learning .. and success.. are about making lemonade out of life's lemons.

---
L-E headline/story: "Feinstein, oldest US senator, to seek re-election * Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., officially declared her intention to run for re-election Monday, ending months of speculation about her future and probably avoiding what would have been an intense scramble of Golden State politics to succeed her * On Sunday, Feinstein, 84, hinted in a national television interview that she was likely to run again, telling NBC’s “Meet the Press” that she was close to a formal decision. -- Hmm.. Sunday.. maybe.. Monday ..YES.. anyone see an 84-year old "moment"? You know.. a successful person recognizes when his/her job is done and hands the baton off to the next generation.. it's the less successful who don't want someone else filling his/her and finding out where the blisters and bunions are. And after 25 years, there are also wholes in her soles..

---
From the "think about this".. if Senator Feinstein should win again, she'll be 90 before the next re-election.. chances are better than good she won't make it to 90.. that means Moonbeam Brown, heaven forbid, may be appointing her successor to the unfilled term..

---
L-E story: "Google for the first time has uncovered evidence that Russian operatives exploited the company’s platforms in an attempt to interfere in the 2016 election, according to people familiar with the company’s investigation." -- Wait a minute.. is Google, the company that knows where you've been, and where you're planning to go tomorrow before you crank up your car, didn't know immediately where  the money was coming from for ads that Google was running? Yeah.. right...

---
L-E headline: "Redistricting wars get underway in Georgia" -- Hmmm... According to the 2010 U.S. Census, Georgia had a population of 9,687,653. In terms of race the population was: 59.7% White American (55.9% Non-Hispanic White, 3.8% White Hispanic), 30.5% Black or African American ). OK.. let's follow the demographics to the letter.. and make all districts demographically equal.. You know.. it would make Democrat candidates start listening to all voters.. works for me.

---
Speaking of GA Congressional District 2, 4, 5, and 13 demographics.. theses are all represented by Democrats.. of the four, District 2 is the CLOSEST to balanced demographics. There's a population of about 672,000 Georgians and 284,000 are white. That calculates to about 42%.   hmmm.. in Districts 4, 5, and 13 , the total population of Georgians are D-4 - 752,000, D-5 - 747,000, and D-13 with 746,000. The white population for those are D-4 - 226,000, D-5 - 238,000, and D-13 227,000. Basically, less than 1-in-3 people in Districts 4, 5, and 13 are white.. This tells me there definitely needs to be Congressional re-alignment  in all 14 of GA's Congressional Districts.. again, it would force Democrats to listen to, and support all races..

L-E commentary headline: "Eliminating income tax is bad politics * BY CHARLIE HARPER *
GeorgiaPol.com" -- Hey, Charlie.. how about posting YOUR GA Income Taxes paid, and then tell us whether it's fair that anyone pay a lesser or bigger percent that you do....
