L-E headline: " House of Dior suspends Galliano * Creative director allegedly made anti-Semitic slur during bar spat" -- Men...look at this picture, and ask yourself, "Would you knowingly buy clothes created by this man? "

Not me..

For a man who refers consistently to the fact that we are a nation of laws, Emporer Imam-a sure seems to be selective about the ones he thinks should be enforced while announcing the ones he wants to ignore. Witness illegal aliens, including his Auntie Zeituni (who seems to have disappeared), and now DOMA.

What most governments, whether local, state or federal, seem to be slow at recognizing, is that when there is a problem in incoming revenue, their current and past practices are the problem. When 78-80% of costs for a program are for salaries/benefits/administrative costs, personnel cuts and salary cuts are going to have to happen if there's any chance at restabilizing itself at a smaller level. There is no alternative for another stable government stepping in and 'buying out' a floundering government similar to what will probably happen with Synovus.

Online headline: "'Parker Spitzer' TV Talk Show Breaks Up: She Goes, He Stays' -- Knew it wouldn't work...Spitzer's not use to seiing a woman $4-5,00.00 an hour without him getting personal gratification, but he probably can get that by himself.
---
L-E headline: "Combined sewer repair project could close Second Avenue between 11th, 12th for 90 days, officials say" -- Why is this still an issue? The CWW held a gun to our heads back in the early mid-90s saying we had to either pass a bond or see our rates triple so the CWW could repair/replace the entire "combined sewer overflow (CSO)' problem. We bit the bullet, passed the bond, and the CWW did not do what it promised. On another note, our rates have at least tripled since then.

I just heard an ABC announcer refer to some Washington, DC Libyan's as "Libyan-Americans"...excuse me? Are they not African-Americans? I mean, we do not refer to Kenyan-Americans, or Nigerian-Americans, or Mali-Americans, do we?
---
L-E headline: "Plug pulled on season of Sheen’s sitcom " -- Hmmm, a case of another Emporer O-babble supporter losing hundreds of other people's jobs.
---
L-E "soundoff": " Why is it that Fort Benning residents can attend the magnet schools out of district and do not have to pay, and we as teachers and residents of Georgia, who pay Georgia taxes, do?" -- You know, this is why students have difficulties learning about like when attending our local school system. This and many other teachers don't 'get it'. No other GA residents ware able to live in one county (nor are any Alabama residents) , and send their students to schools in another district/state legally without paying an out-of-country/state fee. Now this teacher wants to complain about our military families serving her/him. Trace/locate, and fire this teacher...fast!
---
Another L-E "soundoff": " If the lottery cannot meet the obligations of HOPE, HOPE must be cut back. I am sorry to those affected. Prior to 1993, we had to work and pay for our own college educations." -- Lot of truth here, but the main victim of the lottery has been the hard working families who don't play the lottery. The lottery has escalated the quantity and pay scale of college professors, especially in freshman classes, to uncontrollable amounts because once the professors are tenured they are in the system forever (basically), and too many are there to teach remedial classes for students who were 'given' 3.0 averages so they could go to college for 1 semester/year.

L-E headline: "Government budget cuts pose threat to recovery " -- "Threat to recovery"? Government budget cuts are the only way to recovery! Private industry floundering to support government growth is the threat to recovery!
---
Though they already cringe at the thought of admitting that Bill O'Reilly presents the truth in a succinct manner, teachers, and politicians in general, will not like his summation in today's L-E.
---
I'm glad the GA Sports Hall of Fame has tapped Bill Ploeger....finally. What took so long?
---
L-E headline: "WASHINGTON — Economic growth for the final three months of last year was revised downward to an annualized rate of 2.8 percent by government statisticians Friday, another indication of the struggling recovery from the recession as turmoil in the Middle East threatens further problems." -- That's the problem with this administration's advisors... they're in Washington! If any saw what I saw this past Monday as I watched the plethora of loaded trucks leaving and entering Atlanta, those so-called experts would know what is going on.
---
I see a very big problem with "Black History Month" in schools. It seems that the schools basically repeat everything each February rather than expand and teach about more men and women who have quietly raised the standards affecting the whole world. One such man, Dr. A Seale Harris is probably not even in the data-base. He worked out of Tuskegee Institute, and his discoveries and conclusions are still the main building blocks in dealing with diabetes.
