Online headline: "Obama presses embattled leader to exit in a way that will give Egypt
the best chance for peace." -- Guess Rahm Emanuel said it best, "You never want a serious crisis to go to waste". If Mubarak steps down (or worse) now, it almost guarantees the Muslim takeover of the Egyptian government.

Michelle Malkin's column in the L-E today highlights the falseness of words that permeate White House information releases. The ban on deep water drilling, despite court ordered 'stays', and collusive, conspiring e-mails from Sec of Interior Salazar and former Tsar Carol Browner's office (actually publicized, not "leaked", by the Interior Department Inspector General) to rewrite the White House offshore drilling ban report, no offshore drilling has resumed. Thousands of jobs have left the area , and millions of dollars in lease contracts have disappeared at a time the nation (and especially the Gulf states) needs the oil supply, the jobs needed to get the oil out of the ground, and the revenues from private industry.
---
From the "what were they thinking" department - L-E story: "DEARBORN, Mich. — The California man accused of plotting to blow up a Detroit-area mosque rejected his court-appointed counsel Friday, upset that the attorney is a Shiite Muslim and a “patron” of the Islamic center where he was arrested. " -- In addition to showing the stupidity of the California man (the appointed lawyer would pretty much guarantee either a mistrial or a retrial), it displays the stupidity of the indigent defense fund. How could this lawyer be appointed in this situation, and why didn't the lawyer excuse himself for cause?

No animosity intended, but if I were an astronaut , and my wife was recovering from a gunshot wound to the head, I do believe I would cancel my scheduled mission to be available for her. Liberal media approval of his continuation just reeks of the "me first" attitude.
---
L-E story: "WASHINGTON — A proposed oil pipeline from Canada to the U.S. Gulf Coast could substantially reduce U.S. dependency on oil from the Middle East and other regions, according to a report commissioned by the Obama administration." -- Oh...it's OK to import oil from Canada, but not OK to extract it from US based oil reserves. It's OK to send billions of dollars to a Canadian company, but not for US companies compete. It's OK for thousands of jobs to be guaranteed in Canada, but not OK to create those jobs in the US. potUS Imam-a, you're not trying hard enough..no, you're not deserving enough, to be our President.
---
Second thought about the above L-E story -- Guess it's OK for the US to import fossil-based fuels in exchange for potUS Imam-a exporting "green energy" to the rest of the world...you know, with all the hot air he expels!
