From the 'it's not one world' department: "Alleged Rape Victim, 14, Dies After Public Flogging in Bangladesh * Family members said Hena (Begum) was raped by a 40-year-old married cousin, The Daily Star said. The man's family beat up the teen, then accused of her adultery, the newspaper said. * The very next day, she was sentenced to the flogging in a fatwa, or religious ruling, issued by the village council under Islamic Shariah law * Bangladesh's high court has ordered district officials in Shariatpur to explain why they did not protect the girl, The Daily Star said. The court ruled eight months ago that Shariah punishment was illegal." -- Liberals feel we should be tolerant of Muslim desire to have Shariah law be culturally acceptable in the US......

Online headline: "Senate Inquiry: FBI, Army Could Have Prevented Fort Hood Massacre" -- Yeah, right, and Nidal Hasan would have been martyred as an abused Muslim, stereotyped and racially profiled, and if Hasan retaliated with his actions, the liberal media would have "blamed Bush".
---
Online headline: "Bernanke's Hopeful on Economy, but Says More Jobs Needed" -- Especially his..
---
L-E headline: "Teacher of the Year nominees corrected " -- How..and why were there errors in the list? Surely this is as important a recognition as can be for the system and teachers alike so why wasn't the data confirmed before release? Anyway, we're proud for each nominee.

Ron "Moose" Yarbrough must have grown while at Auburn. When he was at CHS, he was only 5' 12".

Saw something for the very first time today. While driving my child to her Prayer Breakfast this AM, and observing the School Zone speed limit, a MCSD school bus passed me. Guess the driver wanted to get back on schedule because the rain and wet weather had put him behind schedule.
---
L-E story: "ATLANTA — United Parcel Service Inc. is boosting its fourth-quarter dividend by 11 percent just days after reporting strong earnings" -- Especially considering that UPS et al cannot infringe on the USPS's delivering 1st Class mail, you'd think the USPS could operate in the black, too.
