Online headline/story: "New Photos Show Endangered Amazon Indian Tribe *
Survival International released this photo of what it says are uncontacted Indians in the Brazilian Amazon forest, near the border with Peru. The Indians appear be to healthy and could be running from Peru because of an invasion of their lands by loggers." -- "Indians"? Christopher Columbus called the natives he discovered "Indians" because he thought he had found a westerly route to India. It isn't very politically correct for Survival International to call South American native tribes "Indians". You'd think SI would refer to them as either 'native Brazilians' or 'native Peruvians'. Or do you think South American countries are thankfully above political correctness?

A group of faculty members at the University of California, San Francisco, raised concerns about the "potential serious health risks" that the machines pose, including cancer. * (Sarah) Horowitz (a TSA spokesperson) said that the technology has always been safe for passengers and will remain so, as the X-ray technology in the machines has not been changed. * "The technology remains safe to all passengers," she said. * Horowitz said that X-ray emissions from the machines are "well below national standards" and safe for "pregnant women and children." -- Remember the X-ray children's shoe fitting devices? Those were thought to be safe until time showed the damage of repeated usage. How do you feel if you've been a "frequent flyer"?
