Where and with whom does Internet responsibility lay? I just saw a YouTube "kitchen science project" involving putting a grape in a microwave oven and turning it into plasmatic gas and burn. I twas really cool... even had a warning for kids NOT to try this at home because if you mess up, you COULD BURN YOUR HOUSE DOWN!

---

Online story: "(Madonna's) homeless brother Anthony Ciccone has spoken out about his famous sister, claiming that she doesn't care whether he lives or dies. * Ciccone, who is an alcoholic and lives on the streets of North Michigan, tells the Daily Mail that Madonna "doesn't give a s*%# if I'm dead or alive. She lives in her own world." -- Hmmm maybe Anthony Ciccone and George Obama should get together and compare notes... maybe even stage a protest every time Judas 00-bama and Madonna speak out for their agendas.

---

Online headline/story: "Local Scientists Turn Cells Into Living Computers * Researchers at Stanford University announced this week that they've created genetic receptors that can act as a sort of "biological computer," potentially revolutionizing how diseases are treated. * Once the transistor determines the conditions are met, it could then be used to make the cell, and many other cells around it, do a specific thing--like telling cancerous cells to destroy themselves. * The team demonstrated their work using E. Coli bacteria, an organism commonly used in genetic research." -- Hmmm, looks like HELL-thScare want need to have 'death panels'. HELL-thScare will just program your expiration date, and even if that fails, the e.coli will get you.

---

Republicans need a national conference to discuss how to be proactive about the future rather than reactive to all the 'photo-op bombs and traps' that the DUMBERats dangle in front of them.

---

Online headline: "U.S. Hands Over Strategic Base To Afghanistan" -- Judas 00-bama's spinmeisters will be out in force today to tell us how much Karzai now loves us....

---

Online headline: "Evan Ebel, Suspect In Prison Chief Death, Was Released From Jail Early" -- Two words of Deja Vu..... "Where's Willie?"

---

I do believe Jim Carrey believes he's "JC", Jesus Christ..... in a way I can see him in a "JC" role... Just Crap.

---

Online story: "Michigan Republican Dave Agema says he is refusing to resign after promoting an article that said “part of the homosexual agenda is to get the public to affirm their filthy lifestyle." * Now's the time to discuss it, that's why I brought it up," Agema said. "Say, 'oh, you're dividing the party,' no, I don't think so; we're standing on the principle of the party. If the party doesn't stand on its principle, we'll lose our base." -- Just another way 'political correctness' has torn apart progress in so many areas of solution solving. Agema is right in that we need open discussion on homosexuality's place in going forward, just as we need open discussion on racism in the past versus progress made, but liberals do not want to give upo their discussion stopping trump cards.

---

Online story/picture: " (Info Wars) – Shepard Fairey, the graphic artist synonymous with the Obama “CHANGE” and “HOPE” images has taken aim at the Second Amendment by releasing new works that equate gun owners with Satan. * Fairey has released a new print titled “God Saves & Satan Invests” which depicts an AR15 rifle with the words “America – The Land Where God Saves & Satan Invests In Assault Weapons And High Capacity Magazines”."

You know, History Channel's "The Bible" was spot on in it's Satan looking like Judas 00-bama.... Judas 00-bama's favorite word for depleting America's assets is "investing", and when you look at this poster, it seems we should be looking at a subliminal depiction of Hitler and a Nazi symbol.
---
L-E story: "Mark Oropeza bailed out as Columbus airport director at age 57 with a golden parachute that will pay him more than $61,000 a year for the rest of his life. * Days before he retired, Oropeza was moved from the city’s general pension plan into the public safety pension fund, allowing him to immediately draw retire ment benefits instead of having to wait until he is 65. " -- And Mayor Obamalinson wants us to trust her? She wants to end 'the freeze", yet throws $490,480.00 (8 years x $61,310.00) out the window on a backroom whim of a deal.
---
L-E headline/story: "Man robbed of his own gun at Victory Drive hotel * An Opelika, Ala., man was robbed at gunpoint of his own gun, cellphone and cash during a holdup at the Colony Inn on Victory Drive. " -- Oh, drats! If only the Republicans had passed Judas 00-bama's extended background check law for 'private gun exchanges' this wouldn't have happened.
---
L-E story:
"PUBLIC SAFETY SALARIES Here are salaries for public safety leaders in Columbus:

Mark Oropeza: $128,442 to run the airport and 48 employees, 15 of whom worked in public safety jobs.

Police Chief Ricky Boren: $102,146 to run a department of 573 employees.

Sheriff John Darr: $99,310 to run a department of 464 employees.

Fire and Emergency Management Chief Jeff Meyer: $99,819 to run a department of 381 employees.

Marshal Greg Countryman: $76,472 to run a department of 41 employees.
-- Hmmm, looks like Oropeza and Countryman were/are our 2 most overpaid employees. Between them, they commanded less than 100 people. Averaging there salaries-to-employee ratio ($2,302 per) Chief Boren should be making &1,319,046.00.
---
L-E headline: "PROTESTERS TARGET FOXY LADY LOUNGE * Club was scene of fatal shooting with AK-47 on Wednesday * By BEN WRIGHT" -- When Hasn't Ever Ben Wright reports he's seen an AK-47, it was probably a pellet gun. The main thing is "where are these concerned citizens" when juries are selected, and when juries acquit a killer on racial prejudice.. such as the victim of the Foxy Lady killing?
---
The divide over moving the BTW apartments into the Liberty District does have a practical solution... there's a huge piece of property that's designated a cemetery park in which no one is buried that's already graded and ready for apartments to be built on. Guess the real issue is putting a public housing crime area into a place people want to feel safe in attending events.
---
L-E headline: "U.S. CENSUS * OVER 15,000 MOVE INTO METRO AREA SINCE 2010 * Chattahoochee, Russell among the fastest growing counties in the nation " -- Whoa! Slow down a bit... 5% growth is a little suspect and can probably be attributed to the DUMBERat automatic increases. If not that, somebody counted all the 2012 new voter registrations without checking the cemetery records. Of course, the most probable error was that public school educated mathematicians probably did the adding in 2010.
---
Hmmm, the West GA BBB must have second thoughts about the full page ad it ran today. Though probably not on purpose, the BBB displays a definite lack of diversity.
---
L-E's "Thought for Today": “So often we rob tomorrow’s memories by today’s economies.” — John Mason Brown, U.S. critic and lecturer (1900-1969)." -- Hmmm, maybe we should run a more thorough extended background check on our politicians as well as gun buyers.
---
The L-E confirms its religious depth again. Yes, the L-E is Columbus's most obvious CEO. They gave the other half of their Christmas-Easter Only editorials today. Tomorrow, the L-E will be adrift again.
---
L-E headline: "White House takes North Korea’s threats seriously " -- Yeah, right... nothing a flea collar wouldn't take care of and Judas 00-bama sends out his Storm Trooper spinmeisters. Of course, the Muslim Brotherhood's takeover of the Middle=East is still simply a pimple.
---
Well, looks like Judas 00-bama's NCAA bracket is about deplete. Louisville is still alive but taking on Duke today. Otherwise, Judas 00-bama can start working on presidential issues pretty soon.

Online headline: "35 Indicted In Massive Georgia School Cheating Scandal" -- So much for the success of HeadStart in Atlanta.
---
Hang on to your seats... seems new testing indicates the Shroud of Turin does date back to the time of Jesus, and soil elements are 'consistent' with soil in Jerusalem.
---
Online headline: "North Korea Declares 'State of War' -- Hmmm, guess this complete the trilogy with "State of Poverty" and "State of Stupidity".
---
There's an awful lot of saber rattling going on in North Korea. Remember when Gaddafy was doing that during Reagan's term? Reagan sent rockets in that took out the 4 corner security towers at Gaddafy's living compound, then dotted the "I" by taken out Gaddafy's pet goat that was tethered inside the compound.
---
Learned something rather startling last night.... the AMA...the American Medical Association that is given so much authoritive weight to its position on healthcare only has 23% of doctors that are members. Why doesn't mainstream media ask the vast majority of doctors how they feel about healthcare issues?
---
Being compassionate/sympathetic for someone's choice/lot in life is somewhat, no, more than normal, but it doesn't mean giving it legitimacy is the right thing to do. A parents love of his/her child ... at times it defies all realms of logic, but it's as natural as any feeling in the world. The grace a parent gives to his/her child is based on the personal relationship between a parent and his/her child. Forgiveness, acceptance is the lesson we learned from God and Jesus based on our personal relationship. God's forgiveness our sins we ask penance for does not mean God has changed his mind on what is right or wrong, but just grace and mercy based on out individual relationship. Marriage is as God intended... between a man and a woman.
---
Judas 00-bama thinks it'"OK" for the government to spend $300K for Bleep Beep Biden limos for a night in Paris (which he didn't use), but not afford burying of veterans with Military Honors. Nah, he doesn't have a spending problem, he has Narcissist's problem.
---
Judas 00-bama says we need more regulations to keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people . I can definitely agree that we need to keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people but I'd do that by tougher sentences, fewer parole options , and enforcing death sentences for immediate results when gun was used in the crime.
---
McClatchy headline: "How Cuba became the newest hotbed for tourists craving sex with minors" -- Hmmm, sorta explains the Hollywood/DUMBERat intrigue of redeveloping a 'normal' relationship with Cuba. Pedophilia is considered normal by Hollywood standards.
---
Has anyone heard if our Council has begun discussing the Nelson, GA law making it mandatory to own a gun to live there? Just think what would happen to our crime rates if everyone had to have a gun background check to live here... most of the Police budget and ALL of the budget of the 'Public Safety L.O.S.T.' could be used on community improvements.
---
L-E pictures on Historic Images on Ebay are certainly nostalgic, but somewhat creepy as to why personal pictures of individuals would be included. I do have a question that needs to be asked... why are different pictures priced differently. some are $20.00 and others are priced up to $27.88. Others from other sources are priced as low as $12.88.
Seems like all should be the same price.
---
The Republican flip-flops on various issues are more damaging than helpful. If we want a DUMBERat, we'd vote for one rather than a Republican waffler.
---
L-E headline/story: "Arizona gun proponents launch free gun program * Program aimed at troubled areas * The nonprofit Armed Citizen Project is part of a national campaign to give shotguns to single women and homeowners in neighborhoods with high-crime rates." Hmmm... some will call it the "Anti-Obama-gun", and Judas 00-bama will simply call it "Fast&Furious 2".
---
L-E headline: "EXPELLED PRIEST APPEALS DECISION * Father Roy Bourgeois asks pope to be reinstated to Maryknoll priesthood" -- Heh. heh, heh... guess Father Roy is discovering liberals' support dwindles when he's no longer tax deductible.
---
L-E headline: "Stargazing ... Barbara Walters said to be nearing retirement " -- Hmm, guess 83 is the new 65.
---
One of the historic images found on Ebay was local, but it easily could have been a picture of an intern and a cigar outside the White House during the Clinton years:

Friday, March 29, 2013

Online story: "NEW YORK—CBS analyst Doug Gottlieb got coverage of the NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16 off to an awkward start, saying he was there to bring the "white man's perspective" to the network's pregame show. * Speaking on a panel with four African-American men, Gottlieb made his comment Thursday during a pre-game segment before Marquette faced Miami, sparking criticism on Twitter that it was inappropriate. * "I don't know why you guys ask me, I'm just here to bring diversity to this set, give kind of the white man's perspective," he said during the show. * Gottlieb was still on set Thursday night and unavailable for comment, but issued a statement through CBS." -- The fact that Gottlieb was not yanked off the set with a "Shepherd's Crook" is a small victory for the end of political correctness, but if ci=onditions were reversed, and Charles Barkley said the 'same' thing, everyone would have just laughed, but no one gets to mention the 5 ton elephant in the room.

---

Online headline: "Kim Jong Un Orders Rockets On Standby To Hit U.S. Bases" -- That flea climbing up an elephant's leg just keeps flashing into my mind.

---

Online headline: "Prosecutors Not Ready To Accept Plea Deal From Aurora Shooting Suspect" -- "Not ready"? Then only plea deal the prosecutor should accept is whether J%*&# (_*_) and his legal team want to go straight to the gallows or rifle range.

---

What is it with the L-E.... twice I've submitted letters concerning CVCC being charged but $500.00 a game for use of Golden Park, but the L-E has not printed them. I can see letting Columbus entities getting a break on some costs, but not an Alabama non-taxpaying group. No private rental facility could rent out space at that rate for such an event.

---

Sean Penn's son blistered paparrazi with racial & homophobic slurs. Appropriately, his name is "Hopper", probably after the "Dish" recording device which could record all of his Dad's curse filled roles. Some how, mainstream media has ignored this (oh if it had been a Romney son), probably because of Sean Penn's glowing tribute to Hugo Chavez.

---

The 1st Amendment guarantees our right to practice any religion we want to explore. It guarantees the government cannot make us adhere to a designated religion or make us participate in any at all. What it doesn't do is deny God. It is God who guided and blessed the Founding Fathers, and no past, current, or future generation or political party can change that. The Founding Fathers guaranteed the 1st by writing the 2nd as clearly as they did. Next question.

---

What is it with Judas 00-bama? He thinks a law making it tougher for qualified people to buy guns will curtail gun violence. Most guns used by criminals were illegally acquired to begin with!

---

California is building a phase of a high speed rail system at a cost of $68 BILLION. Hummm, California had a $66 BILLION budget deficit. Doesn't it make more sense to pay off the current budget deficit with that money rather than add to it?

---

As a homeowner, I empathize with the owners of weekend homes on that island in Washington state, but the impishness in me wants to tell them to call Judas 00-bama and see if he'll do an Executive Order and make their insurance cover them retroactively.

---

There's a new symbol for a picture defining the working concept of creating jobs during Judas 00-Obama's watch. It's the "bullet". Bullet manufacturers are adding employees, even additional shifts, trying to keep up with demand.

---

You have to wonder whether the woman who successfully scaled the 18' border fence in view of the "select Senate committee" was staged as a visual aid, or simply a case of utter disregard for the consequences.

---

McClatchy story: "North Carolina’s Latino advocates are voicing alarm following the governor’s decision to eliminate the state’s office for Latino affairs. * The closing of the Office of Hispanic/Latino affairs was sudden and caught many by surprise. A spokesperson for the governor said the office was not being closed, but that its duties were being shifted to the office of community and constituent affairs. * “We are committed to serving the needs of all of North Carolina’s citizens,” Thomas Stith, the governor’s chief of staff, said in a statement. “We don’t segment our constituents by race or cultural background, any more than we separate them by age or gender." -- A Republican governor doing the right thing is damned if he does or doesn't in the eyes of mainstream media. In the eye of the MSM, the only "worse thing' the governor could have done would have created an "Office of White Affairs" to balance the existing situation.

---

Today is Good Friday. MCSD schools are in session still. Didn't MCSD have a furlough day last week or so? Why wouldn't the MCSD make today a 'furlough day' so families would have a longer Easter weekend to congregate/travel?

---

The latest from www.barackobama.com/organizingforamerica.com - yesterday, I received e-mail of an anarchist manner. I was asked to donate by the weekend to be included as a "founding member" or Organizing for America, and help bypass Congress in attaining Judas 00-bama's agenda.

---

L-E story: "A 900-foot stretch of the Chattahoochee’s riverbank has dropped significantly and in places completely collapsed into the river, threatening more than 300 feet of the RiverWalk and some Georgia Power transmission towers. * The collapsed section is just north of City Mills Dam, which was recently breached" -- Well, the L-E has taken its sweet time in reporting this, but has dodged reporting that the area was subjected to hefty dynamite explosions and altered river flow. The costs are escalating and guess who's paying for it.

---

Read more here: http://www.mcclatchydc.com/2013/03/28/187214/gov-mccrory-eliminates-latino.html#storylink=cpy

Hmmm, trouble in River City's Liberty District....Just as we're seeing portions of the RiverWalk collapse, are we seeing the collapse of Mayor Obamalinson's re-election campaign?

---

Judas 00-bama has really created a 'situation' with supporting the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, Libya, and Syria. Now if he sends in American soldiers, they be shot at with American weapons 00-bama sent over. Maybe we need to see the storage area for all those bullets the Department of Homeland Security has been hoarding.

---

L-E story: " ATLANTA — Lobbyists could not spend more than $75 at a time on government officials under a deal reached Thursday by Georgia’s legislative leaders on the final day of their annual session. " -- Well, there goes "Ruth's Chris Steak House"...

---

L-E headline: "Washington, Colorado bars test limits of legal pot laws * Businesses set up clubs where patrons can use marijuana" -- It's taken less than 4 months for people to challenge what the new recreational marijuana laws allow. Guess if you ply the DA with a puff or two of marijuana at the traditional 2-martini lunch, the DA's office will allow anything to go unchallenged.

---

L-E headline/story: "Brunswick police find bullet fired in baby killing * District Attorney Jackie Johnson said she would not seek the death penalty against either suspect because Georgia law doesn’t allow capital punishment for defendants charged with crimes committed before they were 18. " -- Well, whoever runs against DA Johnson in her next re-election bid gets my support, and so does anyone I can vote for that voted "for" on any law that prohibits a death sentence in a racial hate crime!

---

Judas 00-bama's NCAA office pool bit the dust yesterday. Indiana wimped off the court. Life imitate's art.

---

Thursday, March 28, 2013

Just for the record, it didn't go unnoticed that yesterday's Columbus L-E omitted news of the racial hate crime in Brunswick where a 13 month old boy was shot between the eyes while strapped in his stroller. Gynn County officials arrested the killer's mother & aunt for lying, and they think they have recovered the gun used. Out of sight, out of mind, L-E?
---
Oh, that Florida Atlantic University professor who demanded his students write "Jesus" on a piece of paper, place it on the floor, then 'stomp' on it. Somebody with good Photoshop skills should make up a picture of the professor stomping on a piece of paper with 'Muhammed' on it, then e-mail it to Al Jezeera.

---

Online story: "DENVER — Colorado theater shooting suspect J%#&* H(_*_) has offered to plead guilty and serve the rest of his life in prison to avoid the death penalty – a deal that would bring a swift end to the sometimes wrenching courtroom battle and circumvent a prolonged debate over his sanity. * Prosecutors haven't said whether they would accept the offer," -- Hmmm....Now the (_*_) wants a deal. Here's a deal. take the plea bargain on condition he never talk to another attorney, no attorney ever talk/represent to him again and lock him up in solitary until he dies of 'natural causes'. Of course that ain't gonna happen as the prosecuters will negotiate this with his attorneys over recreational marijuana.

---

Heads up to a fellow BCer... this 3 minute clip on the beginnings of the NRA should be passed on to everyone you know, especially if they are DUMBERats (or even Republicans) before they are Americans:

---

Talk about hypocrisy.... The GA Lottery is running ads about playing KENO while at your local bar. It ends wit a request to "play responsibly". Gimme a break..who's able to sip suds and gamble responsibly?

---

It's no wonder med costs are soaring. My wife got a phone call from her dentist's office with a "2 weeks" notice of her appointment. She'd already received a reminder post card, and usually just gets a robo-call a few days ahead, but this was a live person calling. Guess this years bill will be even higher than I expect.

---

In 1987, Congress (BTW, both chambers were DUMBERat majorities) passed a rule that surplus/underused government properties couldn't be sold until other fed, state, and Indian agencies had been exhausted as to whether they could use them or not. Today, there are between 55,000-75,000 such properties sitting around unused or underused. The government's not sure exactly how many as no inventory of such has ever been taken. I want to know how new facilities were bought or built considering how much space the government already has that could have been used that it already owned.

---

Speaking of ironic government hypocrisy, it appears that the uniforms of our Border Patrol are being made in Mexico. Guess that explains a lot of the illegal crossings... The tailors are slipping in to make fittings/alterations.

---

As the Department of Homeland Security buys and hoards a billion plus shells, police departments across the country cannot find them to buy. Training programs and gun practice are being curtailed and officers are hitting the streets without sufficient ammo should a situation arise. I guess this was an unseen consequence of Judas 00-Obama's plan.... or is it?

---

It didn't go unnoticed that yesterday's Columbus L-E omitted news of the racial hate crime in Brunswick where a 13 month old boy was shot between the eyes while strapped in his stroller. Glynn County officials arrested the killer's mother & aunt for lying, and they think they have recovered the gun used. Out of sight, out of mind, L-E?

---

Online headline: "Oscar Pistorius' Brother On Trial For Homicide" -- Hmmm, the family that slays together stays together?

---

Online headline: "Obama To Visit Mexico In May To Cover Economy, Border Security" -- If Biden's trip figures are an indicator, then a trip by Judas 00-bama will probably spend enough money in Mexico to bail out their economy. Hmmm, maybe if we just make 00-bama live down there for the rest of his term then the Mexican economy boost will attract all their citizens back to their side of the border...

---

Online story: "The Sochi 2014 Olympics Organising Committee has constructed a huge snow storage facility at the Rosa Khutor ski resort, which will host the alpine skiing and snowboarding at next year's Games. * The organisers are set to conserve a colossal 450,000 cubic metres of snow before April 15 when the thaw sets in to prevent any shortages of powder at the outdoor Olympic venues in case of unfavourable weather conditions next February" -- Hmmm, must be something the Olympics learned from the DUMBERats... only with snow. DUMBERats have already stored up enough "BS" to use in the 2014 elections.

---

Online story: "LeBron James spoke out about the way he gets officiated on Wednesday night, saying he is starting to get concerned about how physical he believes some opponents are against him. * James made the comments to reporters huddled around his locker in Chicago not long after he and the Miami Heat had their 27-game winning streak snapped, with the Bulls prevailing 101-97. He cited two specific plays he thought merited flagrant fouls" -- Guess LeBron wants the other players to clear out the paint for him when he drives, sorta like the way players did when Magic Johnson would drive after it was disclosed he was HIV-positive. It's nothing more than elitism... when LeBron proved himself, he began to believe his headlines.

---

4 highly tout recruits have left the Notre Dame program seeking other colleges to continue their careers. Guess after the last BCS game, none of them wants to have to play another SEC team.

---

L-E story: "Just 15½ months after he was acquitted of murder in a homicide that occurred in another Columbus high-crime area, 20-year-old Shannon Calvin “Scooter” Fields Jr. was gunned down Wednesday in a Victory Drive nightclub that also has been the site of multiple crimes. * (The attorney) who represented Fields during his 2011 murder trial, remembered him as a polite young man who had a supportive family, including a fiancé and two children. * He was a family man. I’ve seen him personally with his children, other than at the office " -- Huh? There's obviously a disconnect here. A 20 year old is shot to death in a strip joint at 2:00 AM where he's not old enough to legally be in there and has never married the mother of two children, and his attorney describes his as a 'family man'? It's worse than we ever thought.

---

From above story: "“It (Foxy Lady) puts a bad face on the Victory Drive area of town,” said the Rev. Willie Phillips, a civil rights activist " -- Huh (again)? Victory Drive has always been an eyesore, and while recent efforts have helped the visual concept, Victory Drive will pretty much always be Columbus' "Phenix City Story". It's going to take a lot more localized protests to ever change that.

---

Why does the government think that every child should have a college degree? The only reason I can think of is that the government recognizes that children leaving public high school aren't prepared enough for life of college.

---

L-E headline: "Six Muscogee County teachers to attend Harvard summer programs for free " -- Arrggghhhh! "Free"? Maybe to them, but what's it going to cost Columbus taxpayers in the amount of time it takes for them to be debriefed about what they learn there? Hasn't the Muscogee Educational Excellence Foundation been keeping up with the amount of Harvard people who have ruined our government?

---

Psst! Don't let Mayor Obamalinson see this picture.... if she can't get $1.00 per hour parking in Downtown, she'd surely be interested in this:

Of course, she'll never ask bicyclers to buy licenses or pay for parking on the sidewalks.

---

L-E story: " Two students were arrested Wednesday at Double Churches Middle School after they were found “exhibiting inappropriate conduct” on the school bus, according to a police report. * Police responded to the school around 9:30 a.m. after receiving a report of the inappropriate conduct on the school bus. The two students were charged with public indecency and arrested." -- Hmmm, guess they had forgotten to do their Sex Ed homework and were scrambling to complete it before getting to school .

---

Wednesday, March 27, 2013

OK, what's right with this picture? Proponents for gay marriages express their reverence for marriage... Pass this along to every adoption agency and family court judge you know of in case these to ever want to have children.

---

Online headline: "North Dakota Abortion Ban Signed By Governor Jack Dalrymple " -- I need to revise my attributions... Stupid, STUPID Republicans to Stupid, STPUID Republican MEN! Outlawing abortions after 6 weeks just adds fuel to the fire that will set back Republicans for the next few election terms. Forcing those who are inclined to consider abortion to decide before 6 weeks pass is tantamount to guaranteeing an increase in abortions as women will be forced to decide before the full reality of motherhood grasps them. How can Republican MEN expect support of women on an issue so personal.

---

From the "who is this guy" department:

Gotcha.... it's 54 year old Madonna without make-up. Don't she make our natural women look wonderful.

---

Speaking of weirdo celebs.. "The Boob" is back in the news... seems his neighbor has accuse him of 'battery'. EWe know that's about impossible because the closest 'The Boob" could be to "battery" would be him being the chip on Jim Conrad's shoulder from 1970 ads. (Some of you might have to ask someone older about this)

---

"Oympus Has Fallen"... "White House Down"... Guess Hollywood remembers how well the public cheered when the White House was blown up during Clinton's occupation, and now is just doubling the message to Judas 00-bama.

---

Online headline: "Nelson Mandela Made Honorary Paris Citizen, Hugo Chavez Snubbed" -- Hmmm, poor dead Chavez... guess Chicago, New York, Miami, Atlanta, LA and other DUMBERat cities will make up for that by registering Chavez to vote.

---

From the "it could be here, too" department - Billboard:

---

Online headline: "LGBT Allies Prepare For Gay NFL Player To Come Out" -- One can only hope the guy isn't a wide receiver, tight end, or slot back or we will never hear the end of late night talk show jokes.

---

Online story: "MIAMI BEACH, Fla.—New York Giants defensive tackle Shaun Rogers had a pair of diamond earrings and gold jewelry stolen from his Miami Beach hotel room. * Miami Beach police are looking for a woman accused of taking over $400,000 worth of jewelry from a safe inside Rogers' room at the Fontainebleau Hotel." -- If this had happened in Georgia, Rogers would have been arrested for 'hunting over a baited field". As it is, scrap gold weight of $400K worth of gold at market value would be about 297 pounds. Rogers may have been over charged a bit for his jewelry. Hope the insurance company doesn't get conned.

---

Jim Carey ... whatta liberal wimp. It takes a gutless wonder to attack a dead Ron Reagan, when he could have had Clint Eastwood face-to-face. Guess Carey had seen what Eastwood had done to an empty chair and decided on going after the dead guy.

---

Online story: "Al Sharpton has been an out spoken critic of 2nd Amendment advocates on numerous occasions, so when he began his show knocking the NRA and Karl Rove no one was surprised. However, when they went to a break the ad that played might have caught some off guard. The ad was an advertisement for a gun company called "Henry Repeating Rifles", and their advertisement emphasizes "big, brutal, and beautiful" guns." -- Guess these are liberal or transgendered guns, so they are OK in Sharpton's book.
---
On top of the nearly $600K bill for Biden's one-night-stand in Paris, we now learn his limo bill for that one-night-stand was $300 ,000.00. We already know the bill for Air Farce 1-b will be astronomic, so why doesn't the VP just sleep on Air Farce 1-b and eliminate hotel & limo bills?
---
Because they don't have a "double jeopardy" law , Italy has overturned Amanda Knox's acquittal, and wants her to return voluntarily for a retrial. Yeah, right. Of course, Italy may file for the US to extradite her to Italy for retrial. Of course, the DOJ should blow them off, but maybe the DOJ could ship them Casey Anthony for retrial instead.
---
Hey, not only should we send Casey Anthony to Italy for a retrial, how about sending OJ there, too!
---
Detroit, home of the largest union and Muslim population groupings, home of 400 liquor stores and zero grocery chains, has been put under state control of its $14 Billion dollar debt. Putting a state agency over a city debt is as we are apt to say, is akin to hiring another fox to guard the hen house.
---
Can you even imagine a city (well, one not in California) being allowed to run up $14BILLION in debt? Who would do business with Detroit with not being paid in advance?
---
Jay Leno may have discovered a way to get DUMBERats to bend on excessive spending. "Sequester" the DUMBERat Senators & Representatives on a plane sitting on the runway waiting for the control tower to give them permission to depart the plane.
---
Peeps.... those wonderful yellow marshmallow chicks, are celebrating their 60th anniversary this year. While I cannot swear to it under oath, well, would not in a court of law, I've probably eaten some every year of their existence. I do wish they'd eliminate all the colors and specialty flavors. In my book, only the yellow chicks are truly "Peeps".
---
Now airlines are floating a balloon to charge ticket prices based on weight. Well, they better rig the scale to match what women put on their drivers' license or all hell will break loose at the ticket counters that TSA will not be able handle.
---
A Fox & Friends segment yesterday morning was highlighting companies that are hiring right now. One that caught my attention was for Pizza Hut. Pizza Hut I'd hiring General Managers starting at $35K annually. For a 40 hour per week job, that comes out to about $17.50 per hour. Now we step back a week in time and think about Queen Pelosi telling us that she thinks the basic entry level jobs should have a $22.00 per hour minimum wage. You know, new Pizza Hut managers will probably agree with her.
---
L-E headline: "WAITING FOR COMPENSATION * Ga. lawmakers to vote on awarding Lathan Word $400K for the 11 years he spent in jail on a wrongful conviction" -- Well, the state of Georgia should sue the public defenders in charge of the defense for reimbursement.
---
From the L-E's "Today in History" feature: "In 1968, Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, the first man to orbit the Earth, died in a plane crash. " -- You know, I do not remember this, but it probably happened during a Russian program of teaching monkeys to drive.
---
L-E headline: "First woman to head Secret Service * Obama picks Julia A. Pierson, who has more than 30 years of experience in the agency " -- Hmmm, guess now all the leaks will come from gossip shows like CNN or Entertainment Tonight.
---
L-E story: "SEOUL, South Korea — North Korea’s military warned Tuesday that its artillery and rocket forces are at their highest-level combat posture in the latest in a string of bellicose threats aimed at South Korea and the United States. " -- Hmmm, why does the joke about the flea climbing up an elephants leg keep running through mu mind?
---
L-E headline/story: "COLUMBUS COUNCIL | Contract amended to pay for repairs for whitewater course * RIVERWALK REPAIRS COSTING CITY $100K * The damage to the RiverWalk has been the result of nearly two decades of normal wear and tear," -- Not to mention the damages caused by Whitewater construction. Dynamite blasts, river re-routings, flow alterations.... yeah natural wear and tear.

Online headline: "Joe Biden's Paris Hotel Cost $585,000 For One-Night Vice Presidential Stay" -- "Nearly $600K for a one night stand....who does Bleep Veep Biden think he is... Eliot Spitzer?

---

Instant repeat headline: "Joe Biden's Paris Hotel Cost $585,000 For One-Night Vice Presidential Stay" -- Maybe we should limit travel to the Presidential level; "vice" costs too much.

---

Instant repeat headline with story: "Joe Biden's Paris Hotel Cost $585,000 For One-Night Vice Presidential Stay" * The costs "are in line with high-level travel across multiple administrations," explained an unnamed State Department official to ABC News. " -- "in line"? In line with $1,200.00 hammers and $3,000.00 toilet seats of renown.

---

Instant repeat headline: "Joe Biden's Paris Hotel Cost $585,000 For One-Night Vice Presidential Stay" -- Hell, it would have been cheaper and more productive to send Michele Obama on a vacation/shopping trip.

---

From the "stories we like to hear" department - Online story: "(Reuters) - Wal-Mart Stores Inc has sued a major grocery workers union and others who have protested at its Florida stores, the latest salvo in its legal fight to stop "disruptive" rallies in and around its stores by groups seeking better pay and working conditions." -- Yes! Walmart stands up for all businesses under union attack when the union does not even represent any workers at Walmart. Come to think of it, the protesters have a better suit against their union employer for better working conditions than atanding around outside in all sorts of climate conditions,

---

Let's look at HeadStart.. Really look at it. It's been around since the 60's, was expanded in the 80's, and hasn't changed anything but the cost of education. We have 3 high schools in Columbus that could not produce 1 student who met the minimum requirements of GA's "S.T.A.R. Student" program. No government program is going to change bad results as long as the targets of such programs have no family, nieghborhood , church or school support for individual success of students.

---

Online headline/story: "Golden Gate Bridge Electronic Tolling Starts Wednesday * Eliminating toll-takers will save roughly $16 million over eight years in salaries and benefits. A toll-taker's base annual salary starts at $48,672 and tops out at $54,080. It is costing the bridge district $3.2 million to get the all-electronic system up and running. * The move, among other steps, will help bail the district out of a $66 million budget shortfall over the next five years." -- $48-to-$54K for a minimum wage job. No wonder California is in such budget woes. And at $6.00 toll per car, California would probably be better off eliminating the tollstoll collection costs altogether which would put cajillions of dollars back in commuters'/vacationers' pockets which they could spend in the community/state and generate huge sales and income tax windfalls for the community & state.

And we wonder why we have such a time keeping our children 'of age'.... Why would Niclelodeon allow Katy Perry to show up at its "Kids' Choices Awards 2013" dressed like this?

Online headline/story: "Guanarito Virus Vial Missing From Galveston National Laboratory's Secure Facility * In a statement released March 23, University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) President David Callender explained "less than a quarter teaspoon" of the virus was unaccounted for from a locked freezer * The laboratory's scientific director, Scott Weaver, told The Houston Chronicle the vial may have become stuck to a glove and fallen onto the floor, where it would have been destroyed as a part of the lab's normal cleaning and decontamination process. " -- "may have become stuck to a glove and fallen onto the floor"? Is this or is it not "dog ate my homework" excuse updated to the 21st Century?

---

During the citizenship swearing in ceremony at the White House, Judas 00-bama pontificated that we need immigration reform to attract the smartest. No problem with that, we already have student & work related programs for skilled jobs, but how many illegal aliens crossing over the Mexican border would otherwise qualify for those?

---

From "the out of the mouths of children" department: 11 year Grace Evans got to address the Minnesota legislature, and asked a question none of the legislature could/would answer. After describing the importance of her mother and father in her life development, she posed the following question: "Which parent do I not need?" All were listening so none tried to answer that one.

---

Well, news of the US leading the world in its carbon reduction was met with disdain by the leftist because it's attributable to the increased use of natural gas, and not wind/solar energy. Liberals, you can't live with them, and you shouldn't have to live in the same country with them, either.

---

I see where another layer of asphaltt has been poured over the curb lane going south on 2nd Avenue.... again. What's it going to take for officials to understand that simply repaving 2nd Avenue over and over again is insanity as long as they allow loaded dump trucks to continue driving on it? 2nd Avenue has an old brick road bed, so the application of asphalt doesn't have a solid road bed as a base. Ask the City Manager when the last time the City fixed a pot hole in the Historic District part of Broadway, and ask him "why not"?

---

So Mayor Obamalinson is playing a game of "I Doubt It" with the residents of BTW. It was pitiful that the 'names' of the 5 people she points at for going against her weren't actually revealed, but I guess she thinks she can have her way and still hold their influence for her re-election plans. Sorta like the old adage, she wants to eat her cake and have it, too.

---

L-E headline/story: "School board puts industrial school up for sale * Seven years after Columbus’ old Industrial High School celebrated its 100th anniversary and one year after the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation named it to a list of 10 “Places in Peril,” the Muscogee County School District is putting the elaborate 1112 29th St. building on the market, declaring it surplus and ready to sell." -- "ready to sell"? The MCSD may be ready to sell, but the building is probably ready-to-be-razed afterr being under the care of the MCSD. One only has to be reminded of how well the MCSD has taken care of all its building over the years. Of the worst eyesores in Columbus, MCSD has been in charge of many of them. Take the building being discussed, and then think about Baker High, Claflin, the old Fox School, the recently razed old Carver High et al. Historic stewardship is neither the strong suit, nor in the game plan for the MCSD board.. that's a shame, an absolute shame.

---

L-E story: "Growlers may be coming to Columbus. * If Columbus Council approves an ordinance that’s to be presented at its meeting tonight, specified alcoholic beverage sellers will be allowed to fill and refill 32- and 64-ounce jugs with draft beer for people to take with them. * Councilor Skip Henderson is introducing the ordinance at the behest of the owners of the Cannon Brew Pub, who want to able to sell their craft beers for take-home use. * “If you want to take some home with you, I think you should be able to do it,” Henderson said." -- Hmmm, how many "growlers" does Councilor Henderson think will actually make it home versus being consumed (and container toss on the median or end up floating down the Whitewater course during a 3:00 AM 'race"? Lets not forget our open container laws as well. And who would have thought true brewmasters would ever advocate putting their products in to plastic gallon milk jugs? This idea wreaks.... as much as the beer does.

---

L-E's "Quotable “Be thankful we’re not getting all the government we’re paying for.” -Will Rogers American humorist (1879-1935)" -- I'm LMAO, but it sure hurts. Tis true today as well, but ..... but now we're having to cry about what we're receiving as 'government' as well.

---

L-E headline: "NAKED INTRUDER, SHOT WITH TASER, DIES " -- While I truly don't want to know, one must ask, "Where did they taser him?".

---

L-E story: "ATHENS — Police in Athens say a woman found an intruder in her living room using her laptop computer to browse Facebook. * Authorities say the intruder — an unidentified 18-year-old University of Georgia Student — stammered and apologized to the woman Sunday afternoon, quickly gathered her belongings and left. * Police tell the Athens Banner-Herald the intruder had also apparently urinated on the woman’s couch before she returned home. * Authorities say the intruder left her Facebook page open in her rush to leave," -- Well, I hope the victim took a picture of the pissed on cushion, loaded it onto the violator's Facebook page, then change the password so the victim can't delete it.

That Brunswick murder of a 13 month old baby... shot between the eyes in as cold, remorseless manner humanly, no inhumanly way possible...The baby, product of Latino father and white mother, shot while strapped in a stroller in front of his mother by a black teenager in a robbery attempt of the baby's mother. Where's the indignation of the media?...of the black community? of the Latino community? of Judas 00-bama (could have been his son)? of Al Sharpton, of Jesse Jackson? of Senator Diane Feinstein, Senator Harry Reid, Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi? Where are the Trayvon Martin type demonstrations? Let's face it, DUMBERats have no compassion for anything they can't use for political and/or racial divisiveness.

---

Online headline: "Despite Stock Surge, Money Still Flowing Into Bonds" -- If the wrong statistic jumps into the vision of all the MBAs, the 1929 crash could get bumped for the 2013 one.

---

There are 4 teams that have advanced to the "Sweet 16" stage of the NCAA tournament that would not even have been invited to the NCAA if the tournament was kept to the top 32 teams as was once the case. In fact, 10 teams made it to the round of 32 that wouldn't have been invited if the field was limited to the top 32. Once again, the fans get cheated by the NCAA/TV industry wanting 16 more games to peddle.

---

I really enjoy shopping at Public, but one thing that bothers me is the slow service at the deli. Nothing speeds up the workers. I guess they all used to work at a Post Office.

---

As more comes out about the Department of Homeland Security buying up what may now be 2,000,000 rounds of ammo are taking another twist. Seems that most of the cartridges are of the hollow point variety which is not the usual military purchase. Transparency, please, Judas 00-bama.

---

Online story: "(Breitbart) – Comcast Cable, “the nation’s largest cable provider,” has decided it will not accept firearm and ammunition advertisers in the future. * This decision comes after Comcast has been running ads for some gun and hunting groups for decades. * Cox already had a ban similar to the one Comcast has now instituted and Time Warner Cable announced in January that it was banning “ads showing semi-automatic weapons and guns pointed at people.”" -- Hmmm, there was no news as to whether Comcast Cable, Cox, and Time Warner Cable would ban Hollywood movies with assault weapons... yeah, like that's going to happen.

---

BTW, Comcast owns NBC. Does that mean Comcast will ban ads for guns on NBC as well? Does that mean NBC will cancel, Law & Order, Revolution, and American Ninja et al?

---

Online story: "(Roll Call) – The Senate’s bipartisan immigration working group split along party lines during a contentious budget vote to prevent illegal immigrants who receive legal status from receiving federal health benefits. * The Senate early Saturday morning defeated the amendment to the budget resolution which would have put the Senate on record as opposing access to health care under Medicaid or the Affordable Care Act for undocumented immigrants who get a green card. * All Democrats — including gang members Dick Durbin of Illinois, Bob Menendez of New Jersey, Charles E. Schumer of New York and Michael Bennet of Colorado — opposed the amendment. They were joined by Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, and Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska." -- "All Democrats"... Inn other words, not one DUMBERat vote against the party mantra. This is what is wrong in politics today... when people put the will of of a party mantr ahead of the needs of the country.

Picture this:

Harry Reid Gun

This man wants to tell us about gun control....well, Mr-Concerned-About-Gun-Safety might better take a course himself so he'd know better than to be fingering the trigger while holding a gun that way.

---

21 years ago, I bought the first hand gun I had ever owned. I made my selection, paid for it, and 7 days later I was "allowed" to return to the store and take possession of it. My "background" was checked before I could actually take it home with me. It was a law. That was 21 years ago. Why are DUMBERats still acting like making a new law concerning background checks will bring something new to the table?

---

There was so much corn starch by the river following Color Me Rad, that the runoff will turn Lake Eufaula into gravy.

On the City Manager's Agenda: "Authorization is requested to enter into a contractual agreement with the Georgia Department of Transportation to receive $10 million in Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax Fund for activities associated with completion of the Columbus Riverwalk at City Mills and North Highland/Bibb Mills site. This project will be 100 percent funded from collection of TSPLOST funds and will not require a match. " -- Wait a minute.. why is this presented in a manner that indicates no local funds will have to be provided? We are getting taxed to pay for it, only we don't get all the tax money we put in. That "$10,000,000.00" estimate is already costing us about $11,700,000.00 is Muscogee County generated sales taxes. Same goes for the other TIA projects the T-SPLOST is partially funding.

---

Also on the City Manager's Agenda: "Emergency Construction Services to Repair Riverbank Damage and Boat Landing at the Riverwalk: On Wednesday, March 20, 2013, there was a major collapse of the riverbank north of City Mills, immediately behind Chase Homes. The area impacted is approximately 900 feet and involves approximately 300-400 feet of the Riverwalk. There are also two large Georgia Power transmission towers in the affected area. The area has been closed to the public and Public Works is in the process of installing a fence around the area to keep spectators away from the site. Due to the damage, the Riverwalk will be closed from the 23rd St. Pavilion to City Mills indefinitely. The instability of the river bank places more of the Riverwalk, and potentially the transmission towers, at jeopardy if the bank is not stabilized in a timely manner. " -- Hmmm, one of those unplanned consequences of altering the flow of the Chattahoochee to speed up the completion of Whitewater???

---

Another "huh" item as above: "STAIR REMODEL AT COLUMBUS CIVIC CENTER (RE-BID) — It is requested that council authorize the execution of a construction contract with Huckaby Brothers Floor Covering Inc. (Phenix City) in the amount of $62,920 for stair remodeling services at Columbus Civic Center." -- Does anyone have an idea what a "stair remodeling service" is?

---

Even another "huh" item as above: "It is requested that council Approve the purchase of 39 800 Mhz portable radios from Motorola, in the amount of $118,380.60 ($3,035.40 each). " -- Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy those cell phone/walkie-talkies that private companies use?

---

I read in the L-E this morning that a Toyota won a NASCAR race. Further search shows that Toyota has won 30-something races. I remember when only American-made cars ran in NASCAR. Oh, Toyota may be the only fully American-made car in NASCAR.

---

L-E headline: "MAYOR HOPES FOR LANDSLIDE RESOLUTION" -- Ooops, my bad. Though Mayor Obamalinson was talking about removing the tax freeze again.

---

L-E's "Thought for Today": “In every person, even in such as appear most reckless, there is an inherent desire to attain balance.” — Jakob Wassermann, German author (1873-1934). " -- Hmmm, obviously Wasserman never extrapolated the effect of FDR on the DUMBERats of today.

---

L-E story: "MIAMI — Two Icelandic skydivers who died during weekend jumps at a popular southwest Florida camp did not deploy their main parachutes, the co-owner of the facility said Sunday. * The fact that the men didn’t deploy their main parachutes could mean that they lost altitude awareness and didn’t know where they were during the dive, which is unusual, said T.K. Hayes, co-owner of Skydive City. * Both men had backup automatic activation devices, which deploy if the main parachutes are not deployed in time. " -- "backup automatic activation devices"? I can see that there won't be any unemployed lawyers for the next 3 or 4 years.

---

L-E headline: "Poll: Most Californians favor citizenship for illegal immigrants " -- Hmm, judging from past election results, my guess is that most Californians ARE illegal aliens to begin with, and some are not from this planet.

---

L-E story: " WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — The Museum of Aviation in Warner Robbins is eliminating about one-third of its collection. * Director Ken Emery said the museum is getting rid of 29 planes and three missiles. He said the museum didn’t have enough personnel to maintain all aircraft " -- Hmmm. three missiles... wonder if the purchasers will have to undergo a background check like hand gun owners?

---

Sunday, March 24, 2013

Online story: "NEW YORK — A new $12 million television ad campaign from Mayors Against Illegal Guns will push senators in key states to back gun control efforts, including comprehensive background checks. * "These ads bring the voices of Americans – who overwhelmingly support comprehensive and enforceable background checks – into the discussion to move senators to immediately take action to prevent gun violence," Bloomberg said in a statement issued by the group he co-founded in 2006." -- Mayor Bloom(ing idiot)berg keeps on earning his new name. Who doesn't want to prevent gun violence? If liberals are sincere in their desire to do this, then they should put their efforts and money into a campaign to end the 20+ years of appeals for death sentences.

---

Another advertiser has gone politically correct... Star-kist Tuna. We grew up with the announcer berated "Charlie" by saying , "Sorry, Charlie, Star-Kist wants tuna that tastes good, not with good taste. Now, a group of kids say, "Thanks, Charlie", and I haven't figured what for.

Passed on by a fellow BCer: "President Obama’s approval ratings are so low now that Kenyans are accusing him of being born in the United States !!" -- q;-)

---

I'm looking at a charitable solicitation that came in the mail yesterday. There was no outside printing so I applaud the frugality of the organization, but what got my attention most was that the Post Office charged only 12.1¢ postage. With the troubles that plague the Postal Service, why is the PO giving away service at a loss?

---

This is a repeat of something I wrote yesterday in Part Deux of the BC.. It deserves printing as often as I can remember to do so: Online headline: "Georgia Baby Dead: 13-Month-Old Antonio Shot By Young Boy In Front Of Mother, Sherry West, Police Say * A Georgia woman said Friday a teenager trying to rob her at gunpoint asked "Do you want me to kill your baby?" before he fatally shot her 13-month-old son in the head." -- Where the hell is the ACLU (and Southern Poverty Law Center, and Mayor Bloom-ing idiot-berg, Al Sharpton & Jesse Jackson) demanding the all the teens not only be charged as adults, but with an absolute HATE crime. No amount of prison time will 'rehab' these, so forget the trial. take straight to the death chamber!

---

Online headline/story: "Dem official to students: ‘Stomp on Jesus’ * Florida Atlantic University professor Deandre Poole instructed his intercultural communications class earlier this month to write the name “Jesus” on a piece of paper, then drop it on the floor and stomp on it. * One student, a devout Mormon, was so disturbed by the exercise that he complained to school officials, saying Poole had offended his religious convictions. The school responded by suspending the student from the class. * While the incident has made the news, the media has failed to report a key component of Poole’s resume: He is vice-chairman of the Palm Beach County Democratic Party." -- Hmmm, maybe we should spread the rumor that Professor was going to ask his students to write "Muhammed", and step on it next. You know how Muslims feel about soles of shoes.

---

Miss Alabama, what's her name, you know, the one that dates that Alabama quarterback fellow, is diving on "Splash". Well, it's more like "dying" on "Splash". She had to win a "dive-off" in order to continue, and comedian Louie Anderson didn't.

---

"Color Me Rad" was held here in Columbus, GA yesterday. A fun event that raised mega bucks for the Children's Miracle Network. Estimates say that 4,400 actually participated. Today, the L-E published 4 pictures of that event. On the other hand, Miss Alabama, who had to win a "dive-off" to continue on "Splash", had 5 (3 in swim wear) pictures in today's L-E. What does that tell us about the L-E business plan?

---

Low-info voter's L-E "soundoff": "More selective outrage * George W. Bush spent over one-third of his time in office on vacation. Obama has spent less than 10 percent of his administration on vacation, and you are complaining." -- Even Bill Clinton couldn't pull figures out of the air like these, and make them seen factual,, no matter how he asked they be 'defined'..

---

L-E story: " A 16-year-old girl at the Early College Academic Center told police Friday that she was improperly touched in a classroom at the 2701 11th Ave. school, Columbus police said. * Police have no suspect and the case remains under investigation" -- Huh? I was already shaking my head in disbelief... then I got to the byline... sure enough, it was written up by Hasn't Ever Ben Wright. Does the L-E just keep him on staff to make the other reporters look educated?

---

L-E story: "TUSKEGEE, Ala. — Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan said Friday that the Montgomery-based Southern Poverty Law Center is wrong when it says he leads a hate organization." -- There is finally one thing I can agree with Louis Farrakhan about... the Southern Poverty Law Center is usually wrong, not in hios particular case, but usually wrong. BTW, why hasn't the Southern Poverty Law Center labeled the Palm Beach County Democratic Party a "hate group". Not only was the Florida Atlantic U, professor who had students write "Jesus" on paper then stomp it a member of it, but previous PB County Democratic officers have even more hateful events they eventuall had to resign over.

---

Dusty Nix column in the L-E: "I own a couple of firearms. If I should ever have to move to Nelson, Ga. (and surely a merciful God would not demand such a dire penance from me), at least I’ll be in compliance with the law. * Nelson, you might remember, is the little north Georgia burg with a proposed mandatory gun ownership law. That’s right — under a city council motion that could be decided within the next couple of weeks, homeowners would HAVE to own a gun. " -- Hmmm... that would mean every citizen calling Nelson "home" would have to undergo an extended background check, and that would mean there would be no criminals at all who live in nelson,,, Sounds like we all should demand that Columbus, GA enact the same law. That would free up most of the tax dollars spent on law enforcement, and maybe get Mayor Obamalinson off our backs on the tax freeze issue.

---

L-E editorial crap: "Interim Superintendent John Phillips says it’s time for corporal punishment in schools to be a thing of the past, and we couldn’t agree more. * “You teach kids the very thing we don’t want to teach, violence,” Phillips said at a school board work session. “… if I’m bigger than you I can handle it in a barbaric way. When you look at urban school districts, who do you think that gets spanked more often? It’s minority children, poor children, boys and special-education students.” -- The school board's aim is to eliminate all forms of what consequences are, in hopes none of the students will understand who screwed up their understanding the relationships of hard work-to-success ratio versus the slackard-to-poverty ratio.
