Online headline: "Chavez's Cancer Was 'Attack' By Enemies, VP Says" --
Guess every liberal blames George Bush for everything.

Online story: "LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The Arkansas Senate voted Tuesday to
override Gov. Mike Beebe's veto of legislation that would ban most abortions
from the 12th week of pregnancy onward and give the state the most restrictive
abortion laws in the country. * There was no debate before the 20-14 vote. Beebe
told legislators in his letter explaining his veto Monday that he believes the
proposal is unconstitutional and conflicts with the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court
decision in Roe v. Wade. " -- Like most DUMBERats, Governor Beebe's brain
believes a US Supreme Court ruling is as strong as the US Constitution, yet like
all DUMBERats, Governor Beebe doesn't believe in the Constitution unless it
supports their whims. (Beebe's brain....Arkansas has a bee-bee brained governor
heh heh heh). While I am pro-life, I do not think this is a legislative
matter.

In the grand scheme of things, which of these incidents will go down as the
biggest scams in history: Madoff, Y2K, the Mayan calendar, Harold Campings
end-of-world prediction, or potUS 00-Obama's presidency?

Online headline: "Sequestration Causes White House To Cancel Tours" -- At
first glance, I thought this was simply a grandstand ploy by potUS 00-Bama to
inconvenience taxpaying Americans and embarrass Republicans, BUT a fellow BCer
reminded me that the White House Tour Guides are volunteers (i.e.no cost to
White House) so actually potUS 00-Bama is doing it to aggravate conservative
taxpaying vacationers, and to bludgeon Boehner. I'll bet no major DUMBERat donor
or Hollywood A-lister gets denied a tour.

From White House tour information website:
The following forms of photo ID are acceptable for presentation to USSS upon
entry to the White House complex:

Online story: "A Florida high school student was suspended after he disarmed another student who allegedly threatened to shoot someone while on a school bus. * An unnamed 16-year-old student from Cypress Lake High School in Fort Myers, Fla., was suspended for three days after he disarmed a 15-year-old peer who allegedly threatened to shoot another student with a loaded revolver during a Feb. 26 fight on a school bus, according WFTX. * Officials later revealed the student was suspended because he didn't cooperate with the investigation." -- As sad, as unbelievable as this situation sounds, I can see it clearly as something our MCSD board would do as well. Our board would cite the "zero-tolerance" aspect, and since the student who disarmed the gun carrier also held it in his hand, the he possessed a gun on the bus as well.
---
Online headline: "New College Guarantee: Graduate in 4 Years or the Extra Tuition Is Free" -- Hmmm, I can see most colleges thinking about this now... it really doesn't cost that much for students to actually go to class, but they could still keep the revenue stream from dormitory rentals, meal cards, extra-curricular fees, and book sales.
---
Online story: "A 75-year-old Japanese man died after 25 hospitals refused to admit him to their emergency rooms 36 times over two hours, citing lack of beds or doctors to treat him, an official said Tuesday." -- Hmmmm.... OsakaCare?

Why does the government have such difficulty adjusting to a 2% reduction of a spending increase? Every working American just had to make a 2% adjustment on January 1st when the social security withholdings went up 2% points.
---
The Secretary of Agriculture is advertising for Latino and women farmers who think they were denied loans up until 2000 to apply for compensation. Oh.... doesn't that mean that George Bush ended the discrimination that Bill Clinton didn't address?
- Valid government-issued United States identification card (e.g. drivers license, military ID, etc.)
- Valid United States or other official government-issued passports

Congrats to Gen Bill Caldwell, IV being named as President of Georgia
Military College. We hate that he's not going to be at CSU, but after dealing
with Mescon personally, I do understand.

Where's ACORN when you need them... or maybe we should assume ACORN is already

Online headline: "Obama Attempts 'Common Sense' Caucus On Sequestration" --
Oh, now that he's been outed by Bob Woodward and the New York Times as being
fully responsible for "the Sequester" bill, potUS 00-Bama now wants to spread
the responsibility.... uh, pass the buck.

Online headline: "North Korea Threatens To End Ceasefire With South" ---
Hmmm, I guess that means N Korea can afford ammo but not food... either that or
Ambassador Rodman was negotiating with N Korea using some of the 1,621,000,000
bullets that the Department of Homeland Security has been buying up over the
past 10 months.

Online headline: "Second Sinkhole Forms In Seffner, Fla., " -- Hmmm, does
this mean that there's still hope for that earthquake (the really big one) to
happen in California?

The primary reason Congress doesn't play well with each other is that
individual members adopt the vote of their party consensus rather than the party
discussing pluses & minuses then letting the individuals vote their
consciencousness.

As vital, as important as the records of the Superior Court Clerks' office
are to every one in Columbus, why aren't records backed up daily, even more than
once daily?

L-E headline: "DOW REGAINS ALL LOSSES
FROM RECESSION" -- Unfortunately, IRA's and home values have not. The DOW rise
is more from inflation value of printing more money for government use, which
causes savings and home values to even further in the hole.

L-E story: "WASHINGTON — Airline passengers will be allowed to
carry small knives, souvenir baseball bats, golf clubs and other sports
equipment on planes beginning next month. " -- On the local level, none of those
items are allowed to be carried into the Government Center.

The FDA
just approved a genetically altered Salmon to go to market. One of the pluses
cited was that the salmon grows twice as fast but eats 25% less food making in
more profitable for fish farmers. I guess farmers can yell at the pond that the
genetically engineered salmon's butts "look big", and they shy away from the
food.

to report successes when the truth is also out
there.

From Richard Hyatt's
column: "Pre-K registration isn’t mentioned on
the school district’s website, where we’re reminded that School Board
Appreciation Week is coming up soon," -- Hmmm, School Board Appreciation Week?
Maybe by furloughing 4 of those days would save from having to cut back
elsewhere as well as represent a more accurate public perception of the School
Board's value to the community.

Simon Cowell... the guy behind "American Idol"
and the "X-factor" is starting up an online talent contest/search. In his way,
he's doing more for America than Bill Gates or Warren Buffett.. Cowell is
investing his own money in new ventures, while Gates and Buffett are socking
away their wealth into foundations that distribute money, although with good
intentions, for lost or dubious causes.

L-E headline: "N.Y. to exempt TV, movies under state’s new gun law
" -- Oh... Mayor Bloomberg and Gov. Cuomo want to ban guns from the real streets
of New York, but allow Hollywood to make movies that inflame street violence.
What politicians won't do to keep the money
flowing.
